After a successful week of pile burning in the Skyline and Iron Springs Rd area, fire managers on the Bradshaw Ranger District plan to continue pile burning in the areas of Skyline Dr, as well as the Porter Mountain area.     Quick Response Contains Industrial Fire

    Send us a text and chime in!At approximately 12:00 p.m. on February 22, 2026, the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) responded to a mulch pile fire at MDI Rock located at 14900 AZ-169 in Dewey. Firefighters from multiple CAFMA engine companies worked quickly to contain the burning pile, preventing the fire from spreading into the surrounding wildland. CAFMA appreciates the strong partnership demonstrated on scene. Two MDI Rock employees assisted suppression efforts using the company's water tender, and the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office provided support during the incident. No injuries were reported; the cause of the fire is unknown.
