Sermon of the Week - New Church Audio We are living in an unsettling time. Emotions are high, opinions stronger than ever, and charity wanes. We can think we are right and others are blind. But all of us are blind to some degree, from ignorance and from evil. But the key to seeing is the same - to allow the Lord to heal us with His strong truth and call to repentance, to open our eyes, even to the point that we not only see the truth about life, but our sight is opened to the Lord himself. In this compelling episode of eXskeptic, Dr. Michael Guillen—Harvard physicist, former ABC News science editor, bestselling author, and once-devout atheist—shares his unexpected journey from scientific certainty to Christian faith. April 20, 2025A lot of people know the saying, "I'll believe it when I see it." But faith in Christ doesn't work that way. None of us have ever seen Jesus, but many of us believe in Him, that Jesus is God's Son who died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead. When we believe in Jesus, then, through God's help by His Spirit, we see Jesus for Who He really is: our Savior and our God! This is the way of faith. Faith precedes sight, and when we do believe, then our eyes are opened beyond what we could have ever envisioned or imagined. This Easter we will be reminded of the truth that believing is seeing.John 20:19-31

John 20:27–29 (NKJV) Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
How do you deal with doubt, discouragement, fear, and failure? The disciple known as "Doubting Thomas" shares his personal experience with Jesus and how he was transformed.

We all experience hard times, but as Christians, there is someone we can cling to for comfort and help, and pastor Lloyd Pulley will show us who on today's installment of Bridging the Gap. We're looking at the death of Lazarus, in John chapter eleven.
It's almost impossible to understand all of the practical applications and lessons for us in John chapter eleven, but suffice it to say, this is recounting of one of the Lord's greatest miracles...the raising of Lazarus.
It frankly would be hard to list all the things Jesus has done for us. The top of the list would be that He loved us enough to die for us. So here’s the question. If we love Jesus, what are we willing to do for Him? If He died for us, are we willing to live for Him? Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie takes us to the Gospel of John for an important look at a well-known miracle. As we examine this account, we learn a lot about how Jesus wants us to live for Him and speak about Him. An episode from Ranchero Drive Baptist Church, a Bible believing, Bible preaching church in Kerrville, Texas. What Ranchero Drive Baptist Church (RDBC) Believes: The ScripturesWe believe the scriptures are verbally inspired of God making them the supreme and final authority for our faith and practice, and are preserved in the KJV Authorized Version. GodWe believe in one God existing in three persons (The Holy Trinity): God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Existing without beginning and without end. JesusWe believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, Hissinless life, His death on the cross to pay in full the debt for our sins, His resurrection, and His coming return. The Holy SpiritWe believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, one with the Father and the Son, the indweller of every believer to enlighten and seal each believer until the day of redemption of the body.ManWe believe that God created man in His image in a state ofinnocence, but through temptation, man transgressed and became dead in trespasses and sins. As a result, all men inherited a corrupt nature, are born in sin and are under condemnation. Security of the BelieverWe believe that those who, by faith, receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior are born again of the Holy Spirit, are the children of God, are heirs and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ, are kept by the power of God and can know they are eternally saved forever! Last ThingsWe believe in the imminent, pre-tribulation, pre-millennial return of Christ. The Lord shall return for His church and rapture out the church at any given moment. The world will then enter into a seven-year period of tribulation that will end with the battle of Armageddon and the Second Advent of Jesus Christ. He will come as “King of Kings” and “Lord of lords”, and establish His kingdom that will last for 1,000 years. The Lord will then judge the living and the dead at the Great White Throne Judgement (which is different from the judgement Seat of Christ where the Lord judges the Church). After this, all the lost, Satan, death and hell are cast into the Lake of Fire, while the Lord and His saints enter into “Eternal Bliss”. There is more to things than what you can see with your physical. There is a reality that exists in the invisible realm. Faith is the bridge that turns invisible reality into their visible form. The power of God is present to turn your expectations into manifestations but that happens as you turn on the faith switch. Discover more in this episode.Support the show

The arrival of the Greeks looking to “see” Jesus signals the unfolding of His mission to all nations. This moment raises the question: What does it mean to see Jesus? As Jesus speaks of His hour of glorification, the paradox of the grain of wheat dying to bear fruit, and the lifting up of the Son of Man, He reveals the depth of His redemptive work. In these verses, faith is contrasted with unbelief, the fleeting glory of man with the eternal glory of God, and light shines against the darkness of the world. The Rev. James Stefanic, pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Marshall, MN, joins the Rev. Dr. Phil Booe to study John 12:20-50. The Gospel of John takes us on a journey through the Good News of Jesus in a unique way. It reveals Jesus as the incarnate son of God from eternity. From His miraculous signs to His profound "I Am" statements, we witness Jesus offering living water to the thirsty, light to those in darkness, and life to the dead. But this is also a story of conflict: Jesus is relentlessly pursued by those who reject Him, yet He willingly goes to the cross, showing the depths of God's love. As we travel from His first miracle to His ultimate victory over death, John invites us to see and believe—that in Jesus, we find eternal life and the very presence of God among us. Connect to God's revealing Word in this series that uncovers the rich, layered truths of John's Gospel and the unshakable hope it offers. Thy Strong Word, hosted by Rev. Dr. Phil Booe, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church of Luverne, MN, reveals the light of our salvation in Christ through study of God's Word, breaking our darkness with His redeeming light. Each weekday, two pastors fix our eyes on Jesus by considering Holy Scripture, verse by verse, in order to be strengthened in the Word and be equipped to faithfully serve in our daily vocations. This week at Church in the Park, Kory takes us through the familiar passage in John, chapter 3, to learn what it means to "believe" in Jesus.
“I can’t believe what I’m seeing!” My wife, Cari, called me to the window and pointed out an adult doe in the woods just outside our fence, bounding from one end of our yard to the other. Keeping pace beside her inside the fence were our large dogs, but they weren’t barking. Back and forth they went, for nearly an hour. When the doe paused and faced them, the dogs stopped also, straightening their front legs and crouching back on their haunches, ready to run again. This wasn’t predator and prey behavior; the doe and the dogs were playing together, enjoying each other’s company! To Cari and me, their morning romp provided a picture of the coming kingdom of God. The prophet Isaiah proclaims God’s promise of that kingdom with the words, “See, I will create new heavens and a new earth” (Isaiah 65:17). He goes on to say that “the wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox” (v. 25). No more predator, no more prey. Just friends. Isaiah’s words seem to show us that there will be animals in God’s eternal kingdom; they also point to what God is preparing for His creation, especially “for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9). What a beautiful place that will be! As we trust in Him by faith, God lifts our eyes to the reality that’s coming: peace and safety in His presence forever!
