Aron is joined on the podcast today with Caleb Brewer and Ryan Gentry.  Caleb is a former Green Beret in the United States military and Ryan is active duty Air Force.  Caleb recently was given the opportunity to hunt Desert Big Horn Sheep in Arizona thru some veteran non-profit groups, and spoiler alert, he bagged an incredible ram!  What makes his story even more amazing is the fact that Caleb is a double leg amputee from injuries incurred from an IED in Afghanistan. Pretty incredible story! The dive in to the difficulties logistically that are involved in doing a true mountain hunt with Caleb's injuries. They also take a trip down the rabbit hole talking about TRT and its benefits that both Caleb and Aron have seen. Caleb and Ryan are involved with many great non-profit groups that we encourage everyone to follow and support.   NODENS OUTDOORS https://www.instagram.com/nodensoutdoors/   OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE 4 ALL https://www.instagram.com/outdoorexperience4all/ Be sure to follow us on social media: Instagram:  @kifaru_intl   |   @kifarucast Facebook: /kifaruinternational   |   /kifarucast YouTube: /kifarutube   Did you like this episode? In 1943, a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was flying from Oregon to Nebraska and, when it wasn't heard from it was presumed lost. Search and rescue efforts commenced in several mountain ranges in Wyoming before a couple of cowboys found the shiny metal wreckage in the Big Horns. The mountain was renamed in honor of the wreckage's salvage. HOST Deborah Cobb (debbie@cobbwebb.media) --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/w5podcast/support

Once we sat down with grindcore/powerviolence trailblazer Chris Dodge (Spazz, Depise you, Infest), we knew this was going to be a unique episode. Apart from all these amazing projects he's plied his trade with, Mr. Dodge has left his mark on a variety of other aspects in the aggressive music community. So we sat down and had one helluva chat with the man. We discussed all his musical output, hailing from the Bay Area, Slap a Ham Records, and his love of specialty beers. In our "News, Views, and Tunes", we take inspiration from Mr. Dodge's "No Corporate Beer" column in Decibel magazine and do a our own taste test from some of our local(ish) brews. Musically, we crank a bunch of Chris' projects as well as D.O.A.'s Joey Shithead's tribute to the front liners against this crisis. Big Horns especially to them!! The Big Horns brought us to Wyoming, Ten Sleep kept us there. Most people would drive straight through a small town in Wyoming, especially one with less than 300 people. And most do just that, being that they're on their way to either the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore or Yellowstone. But as many of you know, we're not most people. Although I did say it was the Big Horns that brought us to Wyoming, those of you that know us, know damn well it was the beer. It's always about the beer...and the community that comes with it. And if there's also camping involved...at a brewery, and beer born in a barn, and nights spent at the local dive bar after closing down the brewery, yeah, you know we're suckers for all of that. So it was a given that we had to find out more about the people that started this brewery in a barn in small town Wyoming. Nestled next to the Big Horns between the Black Hills and Yellowstone, tourists, climbers, and locals alike gather at Ten Sleep Brewing Company for wild west tales, great beer brewed in a barn, and historic adventures. We absolutely loved sitting outside on a picnic table with the Big Horn Mountains as a backdrop, soaking up some sunshine while sipping on some stouts and shootin' the shit with Justin and Dave of Ten Sleep Brewing Company. Just as they did with us, they will impress you with their tales of family and turmoil while setting up a brewery in a barn, all while keeping you intrigued with the history of this stunning region, their family ties, and the love that goes into creating BEER! ---------------------- Oh the places we went! ---------------------- * Ten Sleep Brewing Company ( http://tensleepbrewingco.com/ ) - Ten Sleep, WY * Big Horn Bar - Ten Sleep, WY * Platte River Saloon ( https://platteriversaloon.wixsite.com/fairplay ) - Fairplay, CO * St. Elmo Bar ( https://st-elmo-bar.business.site/ ) - Bisbee, AZ ----------------------- Support Craft Breweries ----------------------- * The Craft Beer Concierge ( https://thecraftbeerconcierge.com/ ) - Meet Allo.   When this podcast was recorded, Allison Strekal had only one day on the job as the president. That’s when you know things happen quick in the sports industry. Strekal sat down for the podcast, and held her own under her new title position. Strekal shares some of the challenges of the Big Horns brand as well as her vision of what she wants the franchise to be during the off-season. Strekal has been working for the team for several years, starting off with her initial role of a 20-hour a week inside sales rep for the team. Strekal talks about her experiences in trying to sell the NBADL product to the Reno locals, as well as some of the various promotions that the team has highlighted over the years, including ones with current NBA star Jeremy Lin.
