Casey Kilareski is a stay-at-home mom to 2 beautiful girls—Ella-Kate age 8 and Julie age 3—who SCORCHED a 2:43 in only her 2nd marathon at CIM, to punch her ticket to Atlanta for the Olympic Trials! After the birth of Julie, she battled mild postpartum depression and felt selfish about needing so much time to train and be away from her girls. We covered how she learned to create routines that work for them and give herself grace, which empowered her as a mom and runner. We explored the role her 1st coach, Brian Clevenger, played as advocate, role model, and father figure. As well as how her current coach, Brendon O’Leary, and Casey have great communication and are meshing so well together today. We also talked about how she learned to stop looking for magic parenting moments and started focusing on finding your light that makes you shine. (I'm pretty sure Casey has found her light!) If you’re looking for a coach, why not work with one who is a U.S. Olympic Trials Qualifier ;-) It was so fun getting to know her better as a mom, runner, coach, and O’Leary Racing teammate. Casey was nervous about coming on and I’m eternally grateful she stepped out of her comfort zone to share her AMAZING story! I have no doubt it will RESONATE with and INSPIRE running moms and dads everywhere! Casey’s an absolute rock-star and someone I’m super proud to call friend. I'm so excited to follow her running journey to the Trials and beyond. Please take a listen and hear Casey’s AMAZING Story! If you’re deeply moved like I was, it would mean the world to me if you would rate the episode or write a review and share feedback wherever you get your podcast groove on.
