Step into the creative minds of Nashville's legendary songwriting troublemakers, the Warren Brothers. Brett and Brad Warren's unfiltered conversation reveals how two boys from Tampa, Florida—raised in a household so strict they couldn't walk down the beer aisle at Publix—transformed into the hitmaking duo behind some of country music's most iconic songs.Their journey unfolds like a country song itself—packed with unexpected twists, poignant revelations, and belly laughs. The brothers recount how basketball skills, not musical talent, secured their friendship with Tim McGraw (leading to 37 song cuts), and how their early co-writes with Tom Douglas taught them the vulnerability required for great songwriting. From homemade Earth Shoes to spearfishing with McGraw, their stories paint an authentic picture of Nashville's creative community at its most raw and genuine. The conversation takes a powerful turn when the brothers discuss getting sober and the transformative shift from being "collectors of everyone else's energy" to serving others through their music. This perspective change coincided with their greatest successes, including McGraw's emotional war tribute "If You're Reading This" and Toby Keith's party anthem "Red Solo Cup"—a song they wrote as a joke that became a cultural phenomenon. As they reflect on thirty years in the business, the Warrens share priceless insights about creative partnerships, the evolution of Nashville's sound, and finding purpose in an industry constantly reinventing itself. Their candid discussion about cherishing longstanding friendships and focusing on quality over quantity resonates far beyond songwriting, touching on universal truths about authenticity and legacy.Whether you're a songwriter, music lover, or someone navigating your own creative journey, this conversation will inspire you to embrace your unique path, cherish meaningful connections, and find the courage to put your truth into your work. Tom has only been with London Welsh for under 2 seasons, but boy what an impression he has made on and off the pitch. If would be fair to say he leads the charge in both and is very popular with our supporters with his all court play.He came to London Welsh from Manly Marlins and we get to hear about the Aussie Union pathway and the link this club has with that club. Tom also takes us through his route to London Welsh and just demonstrates the amount of work behind the scenes our amazing volunteers do for these players. We hear about the stories post match, his tour to France and a Christmas in Wales, but what hits homes is how the squad took Tom under their wings straight away and he instantly became one of the boys.Enjoy.

In episode #73 of The XS Noize Podcast, Mark Millar catches up with JUNO Award-winning singer-songwriter Donovan Woods. Along with his work as an in-demand songwriter, whose work has been recorded by the likes of Tim McGraw ("Portland, Maine") and Lady A's Charles Kelley ("Leaving Nashville"), and co-writes with a diverse group of songwriters, such as Tom Douglas, Lori McKenna, Brandy Clark, Ashley Monroe, Dustin Christensen, Femke Weidema, Steve Robson, and Ed Robertson (Barenaked Ladies), a budding truth about Woods has emerged. As respected as he is as a solo artist, he's evolving and upending our expectations of how his music sounds. His songs have grown more dimensional, emboldened by new sonic landscapes, reminding us that classic songwriting transcends genre. In this interview, songwriter Donovan Woods talks about his new Big Hurt Boy EP, songwriting, his love for Oasis, and more.

No-Problem Parenting™ How to Become the Confident Leader Your Kids Crave You to Be, More Respect, Better Relationship, Get

Hello Parents - Today's episode is about the sweet story that lead me to becoming an entrepreneur including why I named the company Hello World and how a Goldfinch became its logo.  You'll hear how even though I prayed for God to lead the way when I was questioning my purpose and I begged Him to show me what I supposed to do, when He did, I doubted Him.  It took my at the time 8 year old son, to point out how God made it so crystal clear. Thanks to Dave Lee, Tom Douglas, Tony Lane and Lady A for the song, Thank You to Pam M for showing me how to pay attention to God in nature and the every day moments, Thanks to Next-Monday, Michelle and Dieter Pape for believing in me, Thank You to my husband, son, all 11 brothers and sisters (in and out laws), father in law and my dad for supporting me (and tolerating me) in this journey.  I love you all! Hugs and High Fives, Jaci
