Seattle Seahawks fans, where ever you may be, welcome back to the latest edition of the Seahawks Playbook Podcast! Your Host's Bill Alvstad and Keith Myers are here to talk Seahawks football, so thanks for joining us! Up this week: The Seahawks dominated the 49ers at home to breeze to a commanding 37-27 win to position the Seahawks at 6-1 on the year, 1st place in the NFC West Division as well as the #1 seed in the NFC. The Seahawks' offense was able to do it's usual thing against a 49er defense that came into the game with a top 5 DVOA ranking in terms of both points allowed and yards given up. Didn't matter as Russell Wilson hung 4 touchdowns on them and D.K. Metcalf had a career day totaling 12 receptions on 15 targets for 161 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The big news however was the way the defense came to play on the day. They were able to come out agressive and limit the 49ers on offense to 117 yards through the first 3 quarters of this game. Their first truly dominate performance of the season. Although Nick Mullens did come in for lots of garbage time yards and some points, the game was out of reach and Seattle remained firmly in control. Can the Seattle defense maintain this level of performance against the Buffalo Bills this coming weekend....and beyond? That remains to be seen. However, Seattle is getting a handful of quality reinforcements onto the defense that looks to match the offense in the way it can dictate terms to opponents. Damon Harrison and Carlos Dunlap look to make their Seahawks debuts this weekend. In addition, Rasheem Green, Jamal Adams, Benson Mayowa and Ugo Amadi look to return from injury as well. On offense, Seattle hopes to return Chris Carson into the fold after missing a week with a foot sprain. All things considered, the Seahawks stand at 6-1 and appear to be getting as healthy and talented as they have been for the entire season, right at the right time as Seattle faces 3 quality opponents in the next 3 weeks. Buffalo, the Rams and a rematch against the Cardinals at home. Exciting stuff indeed! Go Hawks!

The latest Dallas Cowboys news includes the Trysten Hill Injury update - Hill suffered a torn ACL that will end his 2020 season. Hill will be placed on injured reserve and that makes an already thin Cowboys defensive tackle group even worse. With Hill done, the Cowboys could look towards NFL free agency or a trade to get help at DT. So who are the top Trysten Hill replacements the Cowboys could sign or trade for? Cowboys rumors are set to REALLY heat up about roster moves at DT. There are some options for Cowboys at DT in both free agency and the trade market. Unlike most positions, the DT trade market might actually make more sense than trying to sign someone. Marcell Dareus is a free agent but he’s washed up. Of course, the Cowboys could try to sign Damon Harrison off the Seahawks’ practice squad, but that’s a long-shot. There are some internal options on the roster for the Cowboys to replace Trysten Hill. Tyrone Crawford continues to get reps at DT in this hybrid Cowboys defense, and although he was better vs. the Giants, he doesn’t look the same. Justin Hamilton is on the practice squad and could be the logical short-term 53-man roster replacement. But the Cowboys are probably hoping 3rd round rookie Neville Gallimore can emerge after a slow start to his NFL career. Cowboys trade rumors always involve some unlikely big names and Cowboys Report host Tom Downey does discuss ideas for Geno Atkins and J.J. Watt. But he also has some trade targets in B.J. Hill, Deadrin Senat and Nathan Shepard, former Top 100 picks who aren’t playing very much for their teams. Those guys actually make some sense for Dallas. Cowboys Face Coverings are up to 30% off: http://chatsports.com/Cowboysmask/ Here’s the list of Trysten Hill Replacements: Internal Options: - Tyrone Crawford - Neville Gallimore - Justin Hamilton Free Agent Targets: - Margus Hunt - Marcell Dareus - Nazair Jones - Hassan Ridgeway - Daylon Mack - Brandon Mebane Trade Targets: - J.J. Watt - Geno Atkins - BJ Hill - Deadrin Senat - Nathan Shepherd Other Team’s Practice Squads: - Sylvester Williams (Broncos) - Michael Dogbe (Cardinals) - Benito Jones (Dolphins) - Anthony Zettel (Saints) - Ryan Glasgow (Texans) / Corey Liuget (Texans) The Cowboys Report is on its way to 100k subscribers, so join the #1 Cowboys YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/dallascowboysreport?sub_confirmation=1 Go LIKE our Cowboys Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/cowboysworlddallas/ Tom Downey has his DM’s open on Twitter for all your Cowboys questions: https://www.twitter.com/whatgoingdowney Cowboys news & rumors is also on our website: http://www.chatsports.com/dallas-cowboys Download the Dallas Cowboys Report video podcast on your iPhone for free: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/dallas-cowboys-report/id1291846368?mt=2 Follow Chat Sports on social media for more sports coverage: FB: https://www.facebook.com/chatsports Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/chatsports IG: https://www.instagram.com/chatsports
