We're thrilled to talk with former Seahawk guard Jaylen Fornes about his journey in life and hoops, including two different stints at UNCW that saw his teams hang banners in Trask Coliseum. Fornes, who also played pro ball in Denmark, played for three different coaches in Wilmington, with each at a distinct stage of building their program. He shares his perspective on getting to know Coach Takayo Siddle as a young assistant then reconnecting with him as a head coach as he looked to build a winning foundation. Since returning home, Fornes has been working to build his clothing brand, Stack Your Days (www.stackyourdays.net) and working with young basketball players to make their dreams come true, just as he did as a young man from humble beginnings in Pamlico County. Send us a textThe New York Giants have made some major moves, and Drew and Rob are here to break it all down in another jam-packed episode of 2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates. With free agency in full swing, the Giants have re-signed a familiar face, added key pieces on defense, and continue to be linked to the biggest quarterback names in the NFL. This episode dives deep into all the latest Giants news, rumors, and updates as the team looks to reshape its roster for the 2025 season.  The show kicks off with the Giants re-signing wide receiver Darius Slayton to a three-year, $36 million deal. After finishing the 2023 season with 39 catches for 573 yards and two touchdowns, Slayton remains a solid part of the Giants' receiving corps. What does this signing mean for the offense, and could it indicate what direction the Giants will go in the draft? Next, the Giants addressed a major need on defense by signing cornerback Paulson Adebo. The former Saints CB, who played at Stanford alongside Bobby Okereke, comes to New York after an injury-limited season in which he recorded 52 tackles and three interceptions in just seven games. While he has been a solid CB2 for most of his career, his aggressive playstyle and struggles against the run could be a concern. The initial reports on his contract were all over the place, ranging from three years, $30 million to three years, $54 million, with conflicting details on guarantees. The guys break down what Adebo brings to the Giants and whether this signing is a bargain or an overpay.  The defensive reinforcements didn't stop there, as the Giants also signed veteran defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris to a two-year, $10 million deal. Standing at 6'5” and 290 pounds, the 31-year-old spent last season with both the Jaguars and Seahawks, appearing in 17 games with two starts. He recorded 20 tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks, and five QB hits while playing 34 percent of defensive snaps. While his PFF grades weren't impressive, Robertson-Harris brings experience and depth to a defensive line that needed reinforcements. Could this be the first step in rebuilding the defensive front, or is this simply a depth move?  One of the biggest topics of the episode revolves around the ongoing quarterback carousel. The Giants are still waiting on a decision from Aaron Rodgers, who has been linked to both New York and the Pittsburgh Steelers. While Rodgers takes his time deciding his future, other quarterbacks have already landed in new homes. Zach Wilson is heading to the Dolphins, Josh Dobbs is joining the Patriots, and Kenny Pickett was traded from the Eagles to the Browns. Meanwhile, Justin Fields signed with the Jets, Sam Darnold is now a Seahawk, and Jimmy Garoppolo is staying with the Rams. With Jameis Winston in talks with the 49ers and Chargers, and Russell Wilson considering the Titans, the quarterback market is rapidly changing. Drew and Rob debate whether the Giants should be waiting on Rodgers or if they should pursue other options. It’s official, pitchers and catchers report to spring training today which marks the beginning of the baseball season. Klint Kubiak spoke at his first press conference as a Seahawk, he outlined his plan for the Seahawks offense including the running game. Geno Smith is almost confirmed to be staying in Seattle as Klint Kubiak spoke about the QB position. // We give you our interview with NFL Hall of Famer Kurt Warner from yesterday that dove into Geno Smith, the Super Bowl, and the current state of the NFL.

Then, they re-air their conversation with Kenny Albert of FOX Sports, who is broadcasting the Seahawks-Rams game this Sunday, to preview the contest with him.

Brock and Salk discuss how the Chargers and Commanders are in the playoffs with first year head coaches and the Seahawks aren't. What's the difference between Mike Macdonald and the other first year head coaches? They dive into it. Thursday's edition of the Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett featured his weekly guests, Mike Garafolo, NFL Network and Michael-Shawn Dugar, The Athletic. Puck puts cap on the Jake Dickert to Wake Forest talk to open the show. He plays a few clips from WSU AD Anne McCoy's press conference on Wednesday.   Puck has come to the conclusion that Dickert never intended to finish out the season and that he was probably gone once the season started.  WSU DT David Gusta become the latest Cougar to enter the portal and now the Cougs have 23 players in the portal and 12 of them are starters. The Holiday Bowl will be a disaster. Mike Garafolo, NFL Network joins Jason “Puck” Puckett for his weekly visit to talk all things NFL.   They start off with a piece from The Athletic that details the absolute dysfunction inside the New York Jets facility. Aaron Rogers hints at coming back in 2025 and even said he'd be willing to mentor a younger quarterback.  Garafolo and Puck don't believe him.  Michael Penix has been named the starter for the Atlanta Falcons and it was awesome to see where he was getting lunch when he got the phone call about being the new QB.    Puck asks Garafolo about who he thinks will win the NFC West….Rams or Seahawks??   Saquon Barkley has a shot at the NFL rushing title and he could break the record in the final game of the season against his former team, the New York Giants.   Intriguing game on Thursday between the Broncos and Chargers and the playoff implications.  Russell Wilson wants to stay in Pittsburgh and what will that cost the Steelers?  What will the Vikings do with Sam Darnold?  Lastly, Mike is hungover and it's lasted a week! Michael-Shawn Dugar, The Athletic joins Jason “Puck” Puckett to talk Seahawks. What's the injury situation with the Seahawks?  Good news and bad news on the injury front. What happened to the Seahawks defense against the Green Bay Packers and was it a step back for Mike Macdonald's defense?  Are Macdonald and offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb on the same page?   An intriguing matchup coming up on Sunday are the wide receivers between the Seahawks and Vikings.    The Vikings game is not technically a must win game, but in reality it is a must win game for Seattle.    What's going on with Riq Woolen?  Finally, “Hey, What the Puck!?” Puck thinks what could have been if Seattle could have moved up in the draft and selected Michael Penix.
