Has anyone ever told you that you 'CAN'T'? Perhaps it was at a young age, or perhaps it was more recent. No matter when or where these words appear, they carry the same limiting power against us ... if we allow them to!In today's episode, Dixie Gillaspie explains that she is allergic to "can't" and in love with story. She has coached founders and leaders of multi-million dollar corporations, as well as solo-preneurs just starting out with next to nothing except a mission and a lot of determination. All of her clients get the benefit of her guidance toward their core of their personal power — that unique combination of innate gifts, learned skills, and purpose — to overcome any adversity and create what others believed could never exist.

We are extremely powerful beings. How we think directly correlates to how we will experience a given situation. When we think a day or situation can't get worse, it does! Joining Ashley in studio, Dixie Gillaspie, coach, author of "Just Blow it Up", writer, fire starter, editor of The Good Men Project, contributor to the Huffington Post and Entrepreneur.com. Dixie, explains how our brain works, how we create and will things to be, and how we can make mindful changes to create a better day and better life.
Are you asking questions that challenge your assumptions to evolve? When a question opens a path, are you willing to explore where it leads? How do you know your assumptions are true, or false, if you don't know they are assumptions? Our brains are wired for quick decisions but where does the brain kick in versus the mind? My guest says that "when the function of the brain and the function of the soul overlap" that is the mind. Want to understand why and how that concept plays into your life and your business? Then listen to this episode with the completely original firestarter that is Dixie Gillaspie. From the first moment I met her I knew that life when Dixie is part of it would not be dull and that assumptions and perceptions would be challenged. Whether you get to know her personally or via this episode and her books, keynotes, courses and social media, I promise you will be asking better questions. If you are willing to challenge your own assumptions! Dixie Gillaspie is a coach, consultant, firestarter, and coffee fanatic. She serves as an advisor and guide for business owners and leaders who are ready to step into the full power of their gifts to get what they want in life and business. After working as a business analyst and consultant for a nationwide consulting firm, Dixie founded her own business in 1998 and has been helping people achieve their “impossibles” ever since. In coaching founders and leaders of multi-million dollar corporations, as well as small business owners and solopreneurs, she has proven that people who tap into the core of their personal power — that unique combination of innate gifts, learned skills, and divine purpose — can overcome any adversity and create what others believed could never exist . Dixie is the author of Just Blow it Up - Firepower for Living an Unlimited Life and Doses of Dynamite - Firepower for Capturing the Inspiration in Everyday Things. She is a member of the Forbes Coaches Council and has served as an Executive Editor for The Good Men Project as well as writing for Entrepreneur.com, Business Woman Media, and HuffPost. This year she was honored as a “Woman of the Decade in Enterprise and Innovation” by the Women Economic Forum and currently serves on the WEF Board of Advisors for 2018 events. Dixie loves talking with individuals and groups about how to transform lives, brands, and businesses. If you or your organization needs to have that conversation you can learn more at dixiegillaspie.com.

Authenticity, Breakthroughs, Growth, Value, Personal Brand Summary In today's episode, we'll discuss a word that has been used so often, it's almost lost any sense of authenticity. Ironically, that word is … authenticity! But why is it important, and does it mean you cannot be kind and tactful or should stop improving yourself? We'll discuss that in our Thought of the Day. And in our interview segment, we'll be joined by Dixie Gillaspie, better known as “Dixie Dynamite,” an author and coach who has helped many people understand their authentic value and translate that to a personal brand. That and more on today's show. Bob's Thought of the Day What does it mean to be authentic? Gandhi is credited with defining integrity this way: When everything you think, feel, say, and do are in alignment. That definition also applies to authenticity. All the business skills, technical skills, and people skills are worthless if you don't approach life from your true, authentic core. When you do, people want to be involved with you personally and in business. Being authentic is a great strategy for business as well as life. We have two types of authentic value: 1) Intrinsic value simply by virtue of being born, and 2) Market value, which is the combination of strengths, traits, talents, and characteristics that allow us to add value to the marketplace. There is a difference between learning from someone and trying to become them. Adapt, don't adopt. Learn from others' wisdom, but stay true to your authentic core. Interview with Dixie Gillaspie When you're facing a brick wall, you have to get some distance between you and the wall. You can't see the picture when you're in the frame. Every entrepreneur will face a “crossroads” point in their journey. They must ask, “What am I going to do? How am I going to provide value?” Your authenticity is a key aspect of the value you provide. No one else can do exactly what you can. This is a key to your personal brand. Your authenticity comes through in your brand and positioning. It's your promise to the world, your platform. Blasting through walls is not inauthentic. In fact, it requires you getting honest with yourself at the deepest level. Today my guest is Dixie Gillaspie. Ever since she was a little girl, Dixie’s least favorite word was "can’t." It still is, and she's on a mission to prove that anything is possible, for anyone. Her first love is working with entrepreneurs as a coach, consultant, muse, and firestarter. She's good at seeing opportunities where other people see walls, navigating crossroads where other people see dead ends, and helping people connect their passion and purpose to create a powerful presence and increased profit. Dixie contributes to Entrepreneur and Huffington Post and is a Senior Managing Editor for The Good Man Project. In this interview we talk about the right reasons for writing the "can't" brick walls and what stands behind those 3 stages all entrepreneurs (and writers are entrepreneurs too) go though during their journey the power of incorporating your personal story into writing the benefits of having a good editor writing for big publications/websites Food for Thought Most of us write because we have something inside that we want to share. If you don't have anything inside that matters to you and that you want to share into the world than writing is gonna be really, really hard work for you. If you have something inside you that you wanna share then the first step isn't really the writing - it's the getting comfortable sharing! People remember ideas, not words. There are so many reasons for people to say they can't. What is the purpose for your art? Don't ever abdicate your writing to the editor. Whatever you've been to and whatever you want to share with the world has value. The important thing is finding the people it has value for. If you believe that an unlimited life, an unstoppable business, and perpetual happiness are all part of the “impossible dream” you haven't met Dixie Gillaspie. Ever since she was a little girl, Dixie's least favorite word was “can't.” It still is. Dixie was on a mission to prove that anything was possible – and her first mantra was “I can too – just watch me!” Since then, Dixie has not only been recognized as a premier business coach and consultant, working with entrepreneurs around the world, her clients have also dubbed her a fire-starter, a success booster, and a muse to genius. But most people who know her just call her “Dynamite,” a nickname she acquired in the second grade. In her words, she has been a coach, business consultant and analyst, a change agent, and a general trouble-shooter to entrepreneurs and business leaders for more years than she is willing to admit.) She is the author of Just Blow it Up - Firepower for Living an Unlimited Life and a companion book, Doses of Dynamite - Firepower for Capturing the Inspiration in Everyday Things, both due out from Sound Wisdom this April. Her success stories have been featured in books such as Go-Givers Sell More, by Bob Burg and John David Mann and The Referral Engine, by John Jantsch of Duct Tape Marketing, and she is also a contributing author, along with Dr. Bernie Seigal, Dr. Joe Dispenza, and others, to The Thought That Changed My Life Forever, available in bookstores now. Have you ever experienced your life as a cramped, stifled box? Have you wondered how you can budge just enough to start moving in the direction of your deepest desires and grandest dreams? Maybe what you need isn't a key. Sometimes you just need to blow stuff up. Join us to hear from Dixie "Dynamite" Gillaspie as she tells her own true story and shares her explosive secrets for living a rich, authentic life.
Dixie Gillaspie has been a business consultant and analyst, a firestarter and mentor, a coach, alchemist and general trouble-shooter for more years than she cares to admit. (but if you ask, she'll probably tell you.) Her success stories have been featured in books such as Go-Givers Sell More, by Bob Burg and John David Mann, The Referral Engine, by John Jantsch of Duct Tape Marketing, and more than one of the books by “The Nametag Guy,” Scott Ginsberg. She will release her first full-length book, JUST BLOW IT UP!, through Sound Wisdom this November. Dixie says she is blessed to have come to a wonderful convergence where "What I am and what I do is the same thing - I am a coach." Dixie considers herself more of a “story teller” than a speaker, but she's shared the stage with the likes of Zig Zigler, Bob Burg, John David Mann, Scott Ginsberg, Mark Sanborn, and Southwest Airlines Emerita, Coleen Barrett. She's allergic to the word "CAN'T" and her Blast Thru Coaching(TM) method is a process for challenging and even eliminating the word from your vocabulary.
