Learn more about Drake Iddon by checking out his forum post: https://forums.eveonline.com/t/a-more-bloodthirsty-fair-and-much-more-fashionable-new-eden-drake-iddon-for-csm19/463086 Who am I and why should you care A fair amount of people will already know who I am from in-game if they have ever interacted in Pochven, but to cut things short I have been a resident of Pochven since it's inception, Initially starting out as a line member in one of the Triglavian aligned corps, then becoming part of elite (read: we were awful but the other people were worse) 4 man team of Castlekickers that brought seagulling into Pochven, bringing the “blue triangle” alliances of the area to their knees due to their absolute inability to be able to kill maledictions. Nowadays I am known for essentially two things: Stewarding the Region, and one shotting people in my (increasingly stupidly fit) panther. Pochven For nearly three years I have continued to be the steward of the region, primarily focusing heavily on dealing with cheaters and RMTs that rear their ugly heads, but also spending a huge amount of time on continuing to run player round tables in order to improve and balance the region, along with, more recently, unfortunately having to engage in player safety when people cant play nice and the game spills out into real life. The round tables I would say have been as successful as one could expect without having a CSM member that focused on the region, it has been responsible for a few things (from oldest to newest): Reverting the “respawn bug fix” from December 2022, a timer that, when added, reduced the PvP activity by nearly 90%, PvP on Flashpoint grids by essentially 100%, but barely impacted the actual isk faucet of the region, making it even more unhealthy to the eve economy than it already was Increasing the activation range of acceleration gates in the region, preventing single interdictor alts from perfectly protecting a site from would-be attackers. The result of this simply allowed for far less waterboarding in the region which resulted in way more actual fights happening. (This change alone is a large contributor behind Pochven being consistently the highest destruction region since its inclusion) Very quickly alerting CCP to a new form of holding the sites hostage and making them unable to be ran without considerable time investment to reset the site, this one was particularly successful as the issue was declared part of the existing hostage exploit notification within days of it becoming a problem The most recent one and one I have been pushing CCP to add for years, Mobile Observatories are now anchorable. While Mobile Observatories are far too ineffective to be a full solution to the CCTV networks that plague the region, this was a crucial step in at least having a potential way to counteract CCTV. Even now I consider it successful as multiple CCTV networks have moved from cloaks to ECCM ships and any botted networks are suddenly much easier to identify and ban
The financial Markets are in a perpetual state of flux, constantly evolving with changes in technology, shifts in regulatory landscapes, and the dynamic entry and exit of market players, all while business cycles ebb and flow. In the face of such uncertainty, how do we navigate these turbulent waters? How can we effectively process the barrage of information available? Does the conventional wisdom of "buy and hold" withstand scrutiny when faced with substantial drawdowns of 50% or more? How do we truly maximize returns and minimise draw-downs? Are there secrets to investing hidden in plain sight? Within the intricate tapestry of the market's daily dance, where buyers and sellers engage in the complex choreography of the free-market system, noise and confusion abound. Yet, amid this chaos, certain traders and investors have thrived over extended periods. They've capitalized on discerning patterns amidst the clamor, leveraging systems and methodologies that exploit fundamental, enduring human behaviors such as fear, greed, and the propensity to follow the crowd... and follow trends. There are some time-tested, quantitative processes that were refined by the legendary Chicago traders Rich Dennis and Bill Eckhart and they passed these skills on to a group of budding naïve traders in the 1980s. These traders became known as 'the turtles'. With us today is one of those trainees, who now has a track record that extends many decades, and a new breed of adherents to these principles… Enter the modern-day "turtles" that adhere to a "classic trend-following" approach. How do they navigate the markets, and what adaptations have they made? What principles guide their actions? Well, what better way to unravel these mysteries than to spend a few days in Sydney with them, which is exactly what we've done, and here we are on beautiful Pittwater Harbour, at the offices of ECCM on Scotland Island, talking 'classic trend following' around the barbie with the legends of the game! …
Learning about Specialty Coffee can be daunting for anyone, regardless of being in coffee for 1 year or 10 years. Grant Gamble and Suneal Pabari created Leaderboard: The Coffee Game to help make learning about coffee fun for everyone, educational, and a unique way to think about how you learn about coffee. This week's conversation gives us a peek into the thought process of creating educational experiences and how you can help develop a better palate. Grant is an ad school dropout turned coffee professional, typically working behind the scenes on too many projects at once. In addition to Leaderboard, Grant is the founder of Culture Coffee Project, Creative Director for the World AeroPress Championship, Events Director for the NA division of Allegra Events and the Director of Marketing for the Montreal-based symposium ECCM. Despite having been in the industry since '05, Grant is still learning everyday (though he's pretty confident he'd score at least 86 points in Leaderboard). Suneal is obsessed with making fun coffee experiences and pushing the boundaries of the coffee industry. Back in 2014 he co-founded The Roasters Pack (Canada's best specialty coffee subscription service - think of it like your nerdy coffee friend who shares awesome coffees) and has since co-founded a few other coffee projects along his journey in the coffee industry. Hand him a cup of a washed Ethiopian or Colombian and he'll be a happy man. #coffee #coffeepeople #palatedevelopment #tasting #coffeecupping

Michael McHorney is the Executive Director of the ECCM and has been for the last several years. In those several years they have seen many positives from membership growth, Updates in the ECCM facilities to the point that they now have to store things off site. The initial building that the ECCM is in was made to be a department store and over the years the ECCM has morphed into an amazing attraction for kids and adults. But with current circumstances they had to make the hard decision of permanently closing the current facility. With hard work and a lot of vision the ECCM is set to reopen in 2022 in an amazing new building. Michael and Pat talk about how this all came about and how amazing his staff has been still wanting to be a part of their community even with the doors being closed. Podcast #306 - Mark D. Valenti, Motivational Interviewing and Health System Improvement My guest for Episode #306 is Mark D. Valenti, the manager of training, education, and workflow integration for the Enhanced Community Care Management (ECCM) at Highmark Health. In this episode, Mark and I talk about the use of "Motivational Interviewing" methods and mindsets in the ECCM program and how "everyday closer to better" is part of their mantra. We discuss the MI approach and how it's different than traditional healthcare or change management models that focus on telling people to change (or why they should change). There are many lessons that I think are helpful in any workplace or personal change context. ECCM is a "physician-led, patient-centered approach [that] focuses on prevention, high-quality and compassionate care, patient engagement and satisfaction, and health outcomes." According to Highmark, "In the first year, the ECCM program has provided a large Pennsylvania health plan with total medical care cost savings of greater than 19% for engaged members; equivalent to one inpatient admission per year per member engaged. More than 1,500 members are enrolled across more than 60 provider sites."
