Advent is ultimately a season of hope. We look back in gratitude at the birth of Christ when God fulfilled His promise. We also look forward in anticipation to the day when Christ will return.

Many people want the courage of Joshua. But Joshua’s courage didn’t come from within himself. It came from knowing God and trusting in His promises!

In the middle of God’s judgment on Adam and Eve and the Serpent, God reveals His plan to redeem fallen humanity: A descendant of Eve will someday confront the snake. The snake will deliver a wounding bite to his heel, but this Promised One will deliver a fatal blow to the snake. Despite our sin, God has not given up on us and His world. He will someday make it good once more! Revelation gives us a beautiful picture at the end of time, where we see the effects of sin completely reversed. Paradise Lost will become Paradise Regained—and it will even be better than before!

Paul, on that road to Damascus, asked Jesus two questions, "Who are you?" and "What do you want me to do?" And Jesus answered, "I am the Lord your God.” Jesus is calling Paul into a life of world mission to the gentiles. Being a transformed man, this one man with a renewed mind wants to glorify God above everthing else by becoming a blessing to the nations. In Sunday's message, we want to understand a CALL that God has uniquely placed in our lives - To be a blessing to the Nations!

THE BLESSING COVENANT Series, "The Promise," Message 1 November 28, 2021 Group Questions Genesis 12:1-3; 15:7-18 Compare the contrast the similarities and differences between a COVENANT and a PROMISE? What is a personal favorite promise you have from the Scriptures? Share the promise and the Scriptural reference. Share why it has meant so much to you. Recall as many facts as you can, as a group, everything you know about the ABRAHAMIC Covenant. Is the Abrahamic covenant just for the Hebrew people? Why do we know it is a covenant of BLESSING for all humanity? (read Genesis 12:2) How does Abraham become born again (Genesis 15:6; Galatians 3:6-9)? How is Abraham’s faith a model (or road map) for us to enter the blessed Covenant life with Abraham?

If we just look for what we see as treasures, laid out for us, we will be encouraged, all along the way. So that we're continuously wondering, Lord, how long. Hunker down, stay in the word, and tell people about Jesus. Just do what the Bible always tells us to do. Rejoice in the glorious hope.

The New Way #2 Galatians 3:15-18
The third saying from the cross is found in John 19:26-27, "Woman, behold thy son!" and then, "Behold thy mother!" Another saying that was selfless. John referred to himself as the disciple whom Jesus loved. We can refer to ourselves as that as well. "He treats me best, I often say, but all God's children feel that way." Jesus wasn't being disrespectful of His mother when He called her woman. It was a term being close to the term ma'am. Jesus lived His life for the sake of the family. It is God's desire that we become members of the family. God is not the father of everyone, He is the creator of everyone. We are not His children until we are adopted through salvation. Satan will do things to thwart your relationship with God. The family is under attack and people are attempting to redefine family. God wants to bless the families. God created the very first family, Adam and Eve.

We cannot simply be content to be blessed by God; we must realize that we are blessed to be a blessing.

God promises a blessing on all nations that stand with Israel. The Bible talks about a time of great trouble coming for Israel but will America come to its aid? America is not mentioned directly in the Bible but a reference of a people coming from the north may refer to America.

You Don't Have to Worry Genesis 15:1-21 Mr. Chip Cowsert
One of the most beautiful ways God deals with the unfaithful is demonstrated in our two people that we will look at today. If you will receive this from God it is not only available to you, but probably knocking at your door right now! Sadly most will turn this down and choose the life of being saved yet unfaithful in our calling and gifts, but you don't have to. Listen as we bring to light this wonderful way God deals with the unfaithful, and turn them into faithful servants that he can reward richly!

“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." Genesis 12:1-3

God is faithful to His promises and worthy of our trust. The life of Abrahan illustrates the faitfulness of God and exemplifies one who who trusted God to fulfill His promises. God worked through Abrham's faith but God also worked to bring about His plan and fulfill His promises regardless of Abraham's failure.

Abraham serves as a great example to all believers of one whose focus was continually on God, not on his surrounding circumstances. God told Abraham to go, but did not tell him where he was going. Abraham was ready to go, but willing to wait...
