This week's guest is Gina Clark. She talks about how and why it's so important to reconnect with yourself creatively, while being a mom, a wife and wearing alll the hats. It might take decades to realize what you need to do, but if in your day-to-day motions of life, if you are feeling any sort of lack, a void and uninspired, these are signs that you need to FILL. YOUR. CUP. This is definitely different for everyone, but it can be starting as simply as Gina did, with saying goodnight at littler earlier to her family and spending half and hour reading before bed. Gina was able to turn her creativity curiosity into a meaningful career change. She founded Gina Clark Creative, supporting people as a creativity coach as well as exploring her love of arts through watercolour. My favourite Gina quotes: "I think how we stay young at heart is by being curious and by learning and there's no end to that." "If you don't take care of yourself you can't take care of anybody else, when you crash you are not good to anybody." "Taking that extra 5min to yourself you are going to be a better mom, a better partner." "5min a day, daliy-ish exercise, it's usually the starting that's the harder part but then momentum takes over." "Just go make something small and crappy, it's gonna get you creating." Do you ever wish you could live a more creative life, but get blocked, stuck, or struggle to find time to be creative? Well, Gina is here to help you!Meet GinaGina is the founder of Gina Clark Creative, an online community that provides creative resources and coaching for people looking to ignite their creativity.  She especially loves to help her fellow left-brained creatives and analytical artists and believes that embracing your creativity is the ultimate act of self-care. Gina lives in Kenora, Ontario, Canada with her husband, 3 children, 2 cats, and a very active mini-Australian Shepherd.  In Gina's own words If you didn't know better, you'd say my life looked like the surface of a calm, clear lake. I had a good marriage, three hilarious kids, and a comfortable home in a nice neighbourhood. But the waters underneath were turbulent--I was exhausted and easily stressed by everything on my plate. Work. Hockey games. Endless errands and inquisitive in-laws. Until one day, everything broke. I broke. A diagnosis of general anxiety jarred the hell out of me and was the catalyst for radically reforming how I showed up in my life. At age 44, I finally honoured the voice within me that whispered, “you're here to make a difference, to do something important. So start. Now.” Creativity--through writing, painting, and ridiculous Crayola drawings of my mini Australian Shepard Gracie--became my self-care practice. It's how I found my way back home...to myself. It worked its magic as a salve for my anxiety. The more I said “no” to other people's demands to prioritize time for my creative pursuits, the more emotionally resilient I became--until one day, my creative practice evolved from simple self-care to a way of being and teaching in this world. I became a certified Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coach. The philosophy of taking small, gradual steps toward continuous progress appealed to me because it reduces overwhelm and increases satisfaction and fulfillment.Almost everyone--even professional artists--experiences creative blocks. I work with people to normalize these blocks and reshape their daily habits, internal thinking and take concrete actions over a realistic period of time. My focus is on the creative process--not products. I want to help others practice constructive creative thoughts on a daily basis that lead to a more fulfilling life. I help people incorporate their creative passions into their lives and schedules so it's both fun and rewarding.FREE gift   "5 Simple Steps to Unlocking Your Creativity" https://ginaclarkcreative.com/freebie-guideJOIN her Facebook group The Creativity Collab. https://www.facebook.com/groups/300778864993540https://ginaclarkcreative.com/#/To learn more about your host Nelia Hutt visit https://www.travellivegive.com  Helping you discover Inner Peace through Giving!Email her at info@travellivegive.comSubscribe to the Podcast YouTube Channel to  watch the videos of the episodes https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClc6cfjxUxZ16QBtL87M14wBuy Her book Giving My Heart Room to Breathe - A journey through Grief, Healing and Giving https://www.amazon.com/GIVING-MY-HEART-ROOM-BREATHE/dp/1777670608/ref=sr_1_1?crid=C8STS22F31RT&dchild=1&keywords=giving+my+heart+room+to+breathe&qid=1625183016&sprefix=giving+my+heart%2Caps%2C387&sr=8-1Merchandise now available  https://www.redbubble.com/people/NeliaHutt/shop?asc=u
