Meet Sunny Drake - an award-winning playwright whose innovative and diverse works have taken him to over 60 cities worldwide. He's entertained audiences from all walks of life, including queers in underground warehouses, seniors in regional theaters, and young people in drop-in centers. In 2019, he was chosen to write the World Theater Day message for Canada, cementing his position as a prominent figure in Canadian theater. But Sunny isn't just a theater mastermind. He's taking on a new challenge with his upcoming podcast, CLIMATE CHANGE & OTHER SMALL TALK. Led by Sunny and written by nine playwrights from across the globe (Australia, Canada, Chile, India, Mauritius, and Nigeria!), the podcast offers a fun and engaging take on the serious issue of climate change. Premiering on Earth Day, April 22nd, 2023, this is not your typical doom and gloom podcast about the apocalypse. Sunny's journey to success wasn't easy - he had to teach himself the craft of theater-making as there was no place for him as a trans person in traditional theater training. But he persevered, bringing his work and audiences into mainstream spaces and paving the way for other underrepresented voices. John Mollura is a professional speaker who went from being a literal rocket scientist to a multi-award-winning luxury portrait photographer. His unique career path provided life experiences that most only dream of. John spent decades leading a variety of teams; some that landed missions on Mars and others that protected the pilots of the most advanced fighter jet in the world, the F35. He now provides world-class portraits and photographs that have been featured by National Geographic, multiple Fortune 500 Companies, and some of the biggest names in music. However, John also knows first-hand what it feels like when walls of achievement and elite-level accomplishments fail to fill a void inside yourself. While his career was rocketing to uncharted heights, a personal tragedy forced him to reevaluate everything he thought he knew. Over the years, as the proverbial scales fell from his eyes, John began to see the world, and himself, differently. He knew there was more to life than having an impressive corporate career.  In 2017, he chose to stop living behind a fragile veneer of perfection and left engineering to pursue photography full-time. It quickly became apparent that John could provide much more than a "nice picture"; he could create empowering images as tangible evidence to his clients' greatness.  As John rediscovered his true-self and his heart became more fulfilled, he longed for others to have the same feelings of self-acceptance and empowerment. John is a naturally engaging communicator who inspires positivity and creates immediate rapport with anyone he meets. John educates and empowers his audiences during his keynotes on Unmasking Imposter Syndrome and believing that Positive Change is Possible. As a keynote speaker John specializes in connecting with audience members who are accustomed to performing at elite levels. Especially for top performers, it can be debilitating to have negative thoughts cluttering your mind, leaving you feeling unfulfilled. This makes you incapable of reaching even higher performance levels. John incorporates research with stories from his own life to give you tools to break out of the prison of your limiting beliefs and begin living life as your truest and most-contented self. johnmollura.com  Thank you for listening to The Curious Creatrix podcast. As with previous projects, my focus is trying to shed some light on under-represented people, which usually tends to be women. My goal is to emphasize the importance that these body modifications had in cultural, and self, expression, and to refute the dismissive and reductive biases in academic writings about this topic.  As well as all this research, I am an avid crocheter, knitter, and cross-stitcher. Mary Baxter The language of intuition brings Inner Wisdom into my life every single day.  This was the first step to reading the Akashic Records. Almost 30 years have gone by since the world of the Akashic Field opened up for me. I was a special education teacher at the time. The Akashic Soul Profile & Clearing gave me a deep look into life from a very different perspective. I found my calling. Years of throwing hexagrams with the I Ching gave way to pendulum dowsing and muscle testing in the Akashic Records. The more I gave these readings to clients, the more my intuition grew, the clairvoyance and clairaudience, and especially the inner knowing. I studied spirituality and world religions, gemstone energy healing, reiki, and massage, along with other energy healing modalities. I wondered what was happening in the traditional academic world around this perspective. I went to grad school at CIIS, the California Institute of Integral Studies, and received my Masters Degree in Transformative Leadership and my Doctorate in Transformative Inquiry. Transformation: Lasting Change. ProQuest: This link is my PhD dissertation (free). John Badger has been consuming audio dramas since childhood, listening to Let's Pretend, and The Shadow, among several others. Early during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, John determined to create his own audio drama, Mercury Theatre Podcast (named as an homage to Orson Welles' theatre production). Using the power of the internet and digital meetups, he cast voice talents from all over the world. Spending his time in the writing process, casting, directing, and post-production, John has had his hands in all aspects of the creation of audio dramas, all while holding full-time employment otherwise. While having held no official position within the performing arts arena, John considers this to be somewhat freeing, being able to think outside the box for unorthodox methods of creation. Since the creation of Mercury Theatre Podcast, John has written and produced another audio drama series, Universe25. Despite all his current audio drama endeavors and full-time employment, John has since created and guides a local haunted tour of his hometown in Hendersonville, North Carolina. He also spends his time with his two mini Australian Shepherds, watching TikToks, and drinking Old Fashioneds. From a young age, I always wanted to be a novelist. I was always writing stories and daydreaming about things that could be. As an adult, I did not initially pursue this as a career because I wanted to build a family, and I thought it was not feasible economically. Instead, I wrote website content and translated documents into English from multiple foreign languages. More recently, I built a successful digital marketing agency with my wife Alcione. In that agency, we have helped numerous entrepreneurs to each sell millions of dollars in info products. That experience has caused me to believe that I can actually make a go as an independent novelist, without an agent or a publisher. I want to show others that they can bring their dreams to reality, both in the stories they want to tell and in the life that they want to build. https://www.ronaldmkimmons.com/free-novella Thank you for listening to The Curious Creatrix podcast. Hello there! I'm Anthony Trahair, I'm a passionate learner of life and I'm constantly searching to improve myself in all sorts of ways. Twenty-six years ago, I found myself travelling around Southern Europe. I'd planned to be away for only two weeks, but it ended up being four months. Not only did I find myself travelling, but I also found myself in an experience that opened my eyes and heart to a world and way of being that I never knew existed.  I was fresh out of university and pretty wet behind the ears. I didn't have words for it then, but I had a deep feeling that I hadn't experienced life yet – at least not in the way that I had somehow imagined it to be. I felt like an alien. I was interested in learning, exploring, becoming an ever-better version of myself, and finding out what made the world tick. I didn't know where money would come from nor where I would sleep. When performing, I was often moved on by the authorities. I contended with health issues. But all these hardships led to my growth. I sometimes wonder how different this trip would have been if I'd had a phone or the internet access I have today. I don't think I'd have dug so deep into my own resourcefulness and resilience. I most likely wouldn't have picked up on the subtleties of my trip. I'd fallen in love with juggling at university, and while on the road, I experienced travelling through the eyes of a street performer. Having left the UK with hardly any money, I found myself using my juggling as a means to meet others and earn enough to survive. It was a really tough four months; however, I always found a solution to every difficulty and was helped in the most unexpected ways.  I was terrible at small talk, found it hard to look others in the eyes and then I found myself Street performing around Europe! In right at the deep end I overcame shyness, gained confidence and learnt how to connect with others, I learnt how to bring the best out of others by being myself. I was able to create an impact that inspired other people. I'm interested in expanding Playfulness into the business world, helping make workshops, training and speaking more engaging, experiential and enjoyable. Transforming rationale thinking into free creative and collaborative interaction, which propels the traditional career orientated person into really getting more out of life. I've taken all the skills from performing, playfulness, and spiritual practices into my Playful Life-Coaching. https://playfulife.org ***Head on over to Creatrix Compass and explore our many offerings from free inspiration to get your creative juices flowing to creativity classes to creativity coaching and life coaching for creatives.  It can all be found at: https://www.creatrixcompass.com Your donation helps us continue to spread creativity throughout the land.  Thank you! https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=2PM3V82XDS7GA  Music: Good Friends Inc by Jonathan Boyle

Lockdown and Covid-19 has taught us to be adaptive if nothing else and Joseph J. Jordan decided to use this seismic change in our world to do something he has wanted to do all his life…become an author. Little did he know that when he started his writing journey in January 2021 at the age of 33 his first two books of The British Empire of Magic trilogy would become best sellers and reach that elusive Number One spot on the Amazon Hot Releases genre specific chart in the UK and USA. You would think with no formal education and leaving school during his primary education years there maybe a stumbling block or two in deciding to become an author but Joseph didn't let this stop him, after all his childhood was one of unconventional circumstances. To explain better we have to start at the beginning within an isolated forested bay in the depths of west country, England. Joseph grew up in a house called ‘Trees' located in ‘Woody Bay', yes…it is as magical as it sounds. His mother is an actual rock star, ‘Elkie Brooks' often referred to as the British Queen of The Blues and is one of the most successful female singers in the history of British music. So it is safe to assume that creativity is in his DNA and the need to share it with the world almost innate but before his writing career began Joseph packed a lot into his life. Touring the world with his mothers singing career until he was 17, followed by a brief stint in modelling and acting. He appeared in a hugely popular Pepsi TV commercial airing within the UAE but that was not to last before sports took a huge role in his late teens and most of his twenties. Winning his first national competition in paragliding at 18 and later marathon running became a huge passion. Then in his late twenties after returning back to England from living in Canada and then Switzerland for a few years, Joseph started his first business – Jordan Joseph (a sports apparel brand) most notably the label was worn by pop super star Pixie Lott. Drawing on the confidence from his first business he then co-founded the UK's first 100% plastic free hamper brand in 2018 which kept him busy until COVID-19 struck… Everything changed for everyone very quickly and Joseph was no exception. After a year of trying to get used to the new normal, living in a COVID world Joseph took the leap into the unknown and began a journey that would change his life forever. He first put pen to paper so-to-speak in January 2021 and the story of The British Empire of Magic begun.  The story of Prince Jacob living in a world of magic and wonder with his partner Elliot. Jacob has his trust shattered by his mother, the Queen as the return of his oldest friend changes everything when he reveals a shocking truth and the race is on to stop a war that could destroy both the magic and human worlds. After a couple of months of prolific writing and 30000 words later his first book was self-published with Amazon. Joseph recalls when his book went live for all the world to see a wave of both pride and complete terror overwhelmed him. What would people think? The response was nothing short of five star reviews which flooded in fast. It reached the top 20 Hot New Releases on Amazon which in Joseph's own words ‘blew his mind' but what was even more important than the sales was the feedback he was getting from the LGBTQ community. Having Prince Jacob the protagonist as a gay man and in a relationship within the story resonated deeply in the LGBTQ community and the importance of the inclusion and representation in a 8+/YA/Adult reader base was sadly something very rare within the fantasy genre. Joseph received multiple DMs and emails from LGBTQ readers thanking him for representing them. Subsequently Joseph became very aware of the responsibly he now carried for the next two books in The British Empire of Magic trilogy which both entered the Amazon new release and best seller chart at No. 1 in UK & USA. Joseph is now currently writing a brand new trilogy called The Clima-Race featuring diverse protagonists of ethnic backgrounds and bi-sexuality .  “ The year is 2100 and our planet has been ravaged by climate change but Isabel Hope believes there is a discovery that could save humanity. As CEO of Hope Incorporated she uses her power and wealth to help steer a new generation that could be the future of all humankind. However, she quickly encounters resistance, engulfing her twin sons, nineteen year old Elijah and Hajile who unknowingly find themselves at the centre of what could be the biggest leap in human evolution. World leaders and corporate titans clash in this epic journey of destiny, loyalty, deception and heart breaking loss, as only the bravest will fight to save their family and humanity as one.” Discover More: Social Links & Amazon Author Page  https://www.instagram.com/josephjjordanofficial  https://twitter.com/josephjjordanuk    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Joseph-J-Jordan/e/B08XNL8PKH/ref=dp_byline_cont_pop_ebooks_1      https://www.amazon.com/Joseph-J-Jordan/e/B08XNL8PKH/ref=dp_byline_cont_pop_ebooks_1 YouTube: https://youtu.be/UaYUY9M7gG4 ***Head on over to Creatrix Compass and explore our many offerings from free inspiration to get your creative juices flowing to creativity classes to creativity coaching and life coaching for creatives.

I have been working independently for about 15 years, first teaching music, and then making the switch over to SEO and online marketing, which is my full time occupation - building websites, optimizing, running various campaigns, blogging, doing outreach, drop shipping, fixing things, and generally sussing out the web's inner workings.  Music and art are things I've been doing for a long time, and so I am a creator as well.  I'm at the point in my life where those two things have finally merged together in an interesting way, and I think I'm one of the few musician / artist types who decided to enter the realm of online marketing in the truest sense.  There's no going back now. https://dotninjaseo.com ***Head on over to Creatrix Compass and explore our many offerings from free inspiration to get your creative juices flowing to creativity classes to creativity coaching and life coaching for creatives.
