 A cargo ship fire triggered the largest explosion before the atomic bomb. 2,000 dead. Halifax destroyed. This true story reshaped disaster response—and it all started with a spark on the water.—and you've probably never heard of it.On December 6, 1917, the SS Mont-Blanc collided with another ship in Halifax Harbor. Twenty minutes later, it exploded—flattening neighborhoods, killing 2,000, and rewriting the rules of disaster response. Here's how a small accident changed the world forever.

Tonight's guest comes to us from Athens, Greece. In this firsthand account, Greek radio operator Polo Spentzos recounts an extraordinary encounter in the heart of the Bermuda Triangle. Aboard the merchant vessel M/V Pothiti in the autumn of 1978, Spentzos and his crew witnessed a large glowing cloud-wrapped object and two smaller orbs hovering above the Atlantic, followed by an even stranger phenomenon where time itself began to unravel. Mechanical clocks spun out of control, quartz watches lagged, communication systems failed, and the crew's bodies slowed as if trapped in a gravitational field. In this rare and deeply technical testimony, Spentzos links his experience not to fantasy but to Einstein's relativity and the infamous Twin Paradox, while drawing parallels to other disappearances, such as that of pilot Frederick Valentich. Because Polo's first language is Greek, his testimony has been translated and voiced in English for clarity and accessibility. At 1:28am early Tuesday morning, a cargo ship collided into the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, causing the bridge to collapse. Two people who were part of a construction crew working on the bridge were rescued, but six others are now presumed dead after the Coast Guard announced search and rescue efforts were suspended. The United States is speaking with partner countries in efforts to form a 'Red Sea Task' force which would protect cargo vessels in the important waterway that links Europe to Asia. Between pirates and an increase in drone and missile attacks on ships by Houthi rebels in Yemen, there is a growing list of companies that have decided to halt shipping through the Red Sea because of the danger. The USS Carney has shot down dozens of Houthi drones and missiles while Iran warned the proposed task force will cause "extraordinary problems" in the region. FOX's Eben Brown speaks with Katherine Zimmerman, fellow at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) following trends in the Middle East and Africa, who says this level of policing the Red Sea will be a difficult job while not expanding the existing conflicts in the region.
