Stay connected with us at americangroundradio.com, on Facebook, and Instagram. You're listening to American Ground Radio with Louis R. Avallone and Stephen Parr. This is the full show for March 11, 2026. We start with a chilling “what-if” scenario that defense officials are now taking seriously: the possibility of weaponized drones launching from cargo ships just off the American coast. It’s the kind of modern warfare tactic that sounds like science fiction… but recent conflicts around the world prove it’s technologically possible. So how real is the threat, and how careful should we be before the media turns speculation into panic? From there, we break down three big stories you need to know before tomorrow. Washington State passes a new income tax on millionaires—and almost immediately a very famous billionaire announces he’s leaving. ExxonMobil decides after 144 years it’s done calling New Jersey home and is heading to Texas. And overseas, an attack on the U.S. Embassy in Oslo reminds us that tensions around the world can spill over in dangerous ways. We also dive into a fascinating conversation with American Mamas Teri Netterville and Kimberly Burleson about the biggest “lies” we were told growing up—from the idea that the news is neutral to the promise that a college degree guarantees success. It turns into a honest discussion about work, purpose, and why helping others succeed may be the real key to getting ahead. In our Digging Deep segment, we look at a shocking investigation uncovering massive hospice fraud in Los Angeles—hundreds of suspicious companies, dozens registered in the same buildings, and billions in taxpayer dollars potentially at risk. It’s the kind of story that raises serious questions about oversight… and even more questions about how long it’s been happening. We also talk foreign policy and diplomacy as pressure mounts on Cuba’s struggling regime, and why the moment might finally be right for a historic shift in U.S.–Cuba relations. Meanwhile, late-night comedy shows reveal something telling about modern political culture—when the jokes about a war are aimed overwhelmingly at America instead of the regime that fuels terrorism. And we wrap up with a couple of bright spots: a police officer who ran toward danger to stop a would-be bombing in New York City, and a young pilot forced to land on a crowded highway whose life—and plane—were saved thanks to a quick-thinking truck driver who blocked traffic. A cargo ship fire triggered the largest explosion before the atomic bomb. 2,000 dead. Halifax destroyed. This true story reshaped disaster response—and it all started with a spark on the water.—and you've probably never heard of it.On December 6, 1917, the SS Mont-Blanc collided with another ship in Halifax Harbor. Twenty minutes later, it exploded—flattening neighborhoods, killing 2,000, and rewriting the rules of disaster response. Here's how a small accident changed the world forever.
Tonight's guest comes to us from Athens, Greece. In this firsthand account, Greek radio operator Polo Spentzos recounts an extraordinary encounter in the heart of the Bermuda Triangle. Aboard the merchant vessel M/V Pothiti in the autumn of 1978, Spentzos and his crew witnessed a large glowing cloud-wrapped object and two smaller orbs hovering above the Atlantic, followed by an even stranger phenomenon where time itself began to unravel. Mechanical clocks spun out of control, quartz watches lagged, communication systems failed, and the crew's bodies slowed as if trapped in a gravitational field. In this rare and deeply technical testimony, Spentzos links his experience not to fantasy but to Einstein's relativity and the infamous Twin Paradox, while drawing parallels to other disappearances, such as that of pilot Frederick Valentich. Because Polo's first language is Greek, his testimony has been translated and voiced in English for clarity and accessibility. This is not a story of lights in the sky, but a case of measurable and documented time distortion aboard a real ship, told by the man who lived it.More information on this episode on the podcast website:https://ufochroniclespodcast.com/ep-341-the-m-v-pothiti-incident/Hidden Cults (Promo)It is a documentary-style podcast that digs deep into the world's most extreme, elusive, and explosive fringe groups.
