Today, Jay sits down with author, artist, and creative mentor Amie McNee for a heartfelt conversation about reconnecting with the artist inside all of us. Known for her honest take on creativity and self-expression, Amie opens up about her journey, from battling self-doubt and shame to finding her voice as a writer and artist. Amie shares real stories of rejection, depression, and learning to embrace imperfection, reminding us that art doesn’t need to be perfect, it just needs to be real. Jay and Amie explore the common myths that hold people back from creating. The idea that creativity has to be profitable, that art must be perfect to be valuable, or that we need permission to begin. They discuss how shame, perfectionism, and fear of judgment often silence our creative instincts, and how practices like journaling, self-mothering, and small daily acts of creativity can help revive them. They also reflect on the emotional vulnerability of sharing your work, the importance of protecting your inner artist, and the delicate balance between wanting to be seen and creating for the pure joy of expression. In this interview, you'll learn: How to Reclaim Your Creativity Without Shame How to Make Art When You’re Struggling with Self-Doubt How to Start Creating Even If You Don’t Feel Ready How to Deal with Fear of Judgment and Being Seen How to Turn Jealousy into Creative Motivation How to Promote Your Art Without Selling Out Whether someone is writing a novel, posting their first poem, or simply daring to call themselves an artist, this conversation is a gentle yet powerful reminder—they are on the path, and their voice matters. Have you ever found yourself stuck, staring at a blank page, willing the words to flow, but nothing comes? If creating content sometimes feels more painful than productive, you're definitely in good company with the majority of business owners. But how do you switch on your creativity in the middle of a busy day? Today, we're tackling writer's block head-on, and I promise, the simple shifts we explore in this episode will change the way you approach your creative work. Imagine being able to create any day, with confidence and ease, even when you don't feel “inspired.” Yes, it's possible. Joining me for this fascinating conversation is Nina Worsley, a jazz singer and classically trained composer now working as a creativity coach. Nina has an incredible knack for helping women uncover what's holding them back creatively and harness that energy to move forward. As someone who has had to perform and create under strict deadlines (and pressure!) in her own career, Nina's insight is practical and encouraging - she's been through it all herself and has mastered the art of igniting her best creativity on demand! Here's a taste of what we cover: Why does writer's block really show up, and how is it tied to your confidence and self-perception? What does it actually feel like to be “blocked” and how do you know if you haven't truly processed what you're trying to communicate? How can you quickly switch your brain from a busy mode to a creative mode, even if the rest of your day's been chaotic? What simple, quick exercise can help you unlock creativity in just a minute? How do you find your creative strengths, even if you don't think you're creative at all? This conversation is honest, practical, and so uplifting. If you're ready to break through your creative blocks and create content that feels truly aligned, you'll want to tune in to this one. Deep Healing for Creative Entrepreneurs -Conquer Burnout, Imposter Syndrome, and Unleash Your Artistic Potential”

Make sure you are on the email list for access to this masterclass. Welcome creative entrepreneurs! You love what you do, and I am grateful to be with you on this journey. Your feedbacks on the podcast have been incredibly inspiring. If you're enjoying the content and haven't left a review yet, I would greatly appreciate if you could take some time to write one. It helps more people discover this resource. In this episode, we discuss creativity and how we can optimize it. Whether you're a photographer, designer, entrepreneur or simply a hobbyist, creativity is essential in bringing your ideas to life. However, we all experience moments where inspiration seems hard to come by. So how do we keep the creative juices flowing?   I share some tips that have worked for me. As a subconscious release technique practitioner, I believe in the energy flow within our bodies affecting our mind and creativity. One of the keys is movement. Don't stay stuck at your desk for too long. Get up, move around and stimulate the flow of energy within you. Ground yourself by imagining your feet as being connected to the earth. I find immense joy in my beach walks and grounding myself aids in clearing my mind, helping me think better. If you can't do it physically due to certain circumstances, trick your mind by visualising. If you're facing an ongoing creative block, shake things up with some movement. Dancing works for me. Or try some hip openers in yoga or any stretching to get your energy flowing. It's an immediate hack to your creative block. But remember, like a Band-Aid, this isn't a permanent solution. Addressing the root problem would yield longer-lasting results. To delve deeper into creativity-based topics, join my masterclass Reignite Your Creative Passion. Details will be up soon in the show notes! If you're not already in, join the email list to get the updates. This episode is a love letter to my listeners. Try out the tips, and let's start a creative revolution! Please share this episode with a fellow creative entrepreneur who might benefit from it. Thank you for joining me today to listen to this episode of From Chronic Pain to Passion. It's hard to believe it's already been 4 months since I first launched the podcast. And I wanna ask if you'd be up for helping me spread the word so that more listeners can find the podcast. So, I thought I would do a little fun giveaway. Last month I held a workshop called Soothe Your Symptoms and Unlock Your Creativity. If you would like a free recording of that workshop, I invite you to do any one of these three things: You can post about the podcast on Instagram and tag me. You can post about it on any other medium, and screenshot the post and email it to me. Or you can simply share the podcast with a friend and email to tell me about it. My email is anna@annaholtzman.com And in return, I will send you a recording of the Soothe Your Symptoms, Unlock Your Creativity workshop — and I'll write you a little note of appreciation. So thank you in advance!   •••   And now for today's episode! I so enjoyed this conversation with Renee Snijder. Renee is a certified ADHD coach who works from the perspective that nobody is broken; that ADHD is a set of symptoms, not a disorder; and that by working on nervous system regulation and self-compassion through a mind-body approach, it is possible to reduce the intensity of these symptoms while connecting with your authentic self.   You might wonder why we're talking about ADHD on a podcast that's called from Chronic Pain to Passion. And the reason I reached out to Renee is that I saw her talking about her approach on Instagram, and I thought, wow, we are talking about many of the same things. We're talking about the effects of stress on the nervous system. We're using our own lived experience to inform the way we support our clients. And I just love the clear and compassionate way Renee talks about her work! On top of all that, I find that a lot of the folks who come to work with me on chronic pain recovery also report that they experience ADHD symptoms. So, I'm really glad that I get to share our conversation with you. Do you ever find yourself struggling to come up with new ideas? As a content creator, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to constantly come up with fresh and engaging ideas for videos, blog posts, or social media content. But over the years, I've developed a simple yet effective method for generating ideas - I write them down! Whenever I have an idea, no matter how big or small, I make sure to jot it down in a notebook or on my phone. This simple act of writing down my ideas has helped me tremendously in keeping the creative juices flowing. Even if I don't end up using a particular idea right away, it's there for me to revisit and potentially develop further down the line. Another key component of this method is actually doing something with those ideas. Whether it's fleshing out a rough idea into a full-fledged concept, or just brainstorming ways to incorporate it into my content, taking action on my ideas has helped me continue to create new and exciting content. And perhaps most importantly, repetition is key. Making a habit of writing down and acting on your ideas can help turn the creative process into something that comes more naturally and easily over time. So if you're struggling to come up with new ideas, try incorporating this method into your creative process. You might be surprised at just how much it helps! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/joshuamoroles/support

People tell me they're they don't think they're creative. But that's not true. Everyone is creative. We just express it differently. And you need that creativity to solve the business and personal challenges in your life.  In this episode, our guest Fiona Valentine explains how simple it can be to unlock your creativity by  drawing just a few minutes every day.  Starting with a structure approach to learn the basic rules, anyone can learn to draw. That skill, in turn will unlock new parts of your brain, helping you think in new and different ways.
