Part 2 of my conversation with Susan Cadogan highlights how every life touches another. It shows that every individual's story is made up of all of the many places, experiences, and people who mattered, influenced, shaped, hurt, and loved them. Part 2 begins at the intersection of Susan Cadogan and Glen Adams. Theirs is a love story that is so special that it just begged to be spotlighted, as bittersweet as it is. Listen and learn about the acts of loving someone. Learn too that many of our artistes need our support just as much as we need their artistry. Go on now; press play on For Posterity. There's so much inside. As always, big up the music and makers of music featured in this episode: "I Just Love you" inspired by Glen Adams, written and sung by Susan Cadogan, and "Do It Baby AKA Nice and Easy" sung by Susan Cadogan and produced by Lee 'Scratch' Perry.

Rub-A-Dub microphone master Sister Carol joins live from her home in Jamaica. We discuss her upcoming new album “Opportunity” (out September 4) produced by the late-great Glen Adams and voiced over all old-school riddims, including several early Wailers/Lee Perry era riddims, provided by Mr. Adams. We also talk about her childhood growing up across the street from Treasure Isle Studios and next door to a SoundSystem featuring the legendary Deejay King Stitt, charging classmates at school as a child to listen to her perform the entire Big Youth record “Screaming Target,” memories of hearing U-Roy for the first time, her collection of Jamaican vinyl and love for record selecting, moving from JA to NY in 1973 at the age of 14, her mentorship under Brigadier Jerry and subsequent first recordings as a toaster, getting a Bachelor of Science degree in education, running her own soundsystem, the healing power of music, producing Dennis Brown, Johnny Osborne, Freddie Mcgregor and others for a Studio One Tribute album, and much more!Tunes of The Week:Devin’s Tune = Jackie Brown - “Wiser Dread”Roger’s Tune = Leo Graham - “Hard Times”SHOP PODCLASH MERCH! Presenters rarely gather on-air and just have fun. Christmas is a decent time to do it, not least if you're on a pirate ship facing long days and nights with your loved ones across the dark North Sea. Enjoy here a few festive moments on a 'loonabaout' with Carl Mitchell, Glen Adams and Stevie Merike on board Radio Caroline as it enjoyed its first Christmas as a lone - and thoroughly illegal -pirate. Studio quality recording too.
YVONNE HARRISON _Was born in the parish of Kingston Jamaica given name of Yvonne Harrison, sister of Glen Adams keyboard player, Yvonne of Derrick Morgan and Roy Panton fame.Yvonne teams up with a group called Robin and the Nightingale, then later with Derrick Morgan, and did couple of songs one of which became a hit song called meekly wait. Roy Panton and Yvonne worked as a duet and we were included in many of the all Island tours introducing the latest dance crave The Ska. Most times they were not paid after the show and would have to find means of tansporting ourselves at their own cost.
