When we walk with the Lord, we will see His work in our life, but if that work seems to stop, we should seek to figure out why. Today, as we dive into Jeremiah 2, we see the sins of Israel and how they hard caused a rift in their fellowship with the Lord. Join us as we examine this key chapter on ways we break our fellowship with the Lord. As always, we are grateful to be included in the "Top 40 Bible Podcasts to Follow" from Feedspot.com (https://blog.feedspot.com/bible_podcasts/).

Today's #BattleDrill devotional: Money worries can have a huge effect on our ability to give generously. We worry if we will have enough money to meet our own needs if we generously give it away to others. #salvationarmy #basingstoke #devotional Read 2 Corinthians 9:1-15. Money can often be a huge source of worry for us. How will I pay my bills this month? What if the current economic crisis means I lose my job? What will I live on when I retire? What happens if my money ever runs out? These worries can have a huge effect on our ability to give generously. We worry if we will have enough money to meet our own needs if we generously give it away to others. Paul offers assurance. God is able to meet our needs. He is the Almighty. He owns the universe. And he promises to bless those who give back to him. People who give back to God will lack nothing they really need. In the Old Testament, God promised his people: Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test! Malachi 3:10 (NLT) God promises to bless the generous giver with enough for their needs and to multiply their resources to continue sharing with others. Don’t let worry rob you of his blessing! Instead, ask him to meet your needs today. THINK IT OVER Think about the following: o What have been some of the results of your generous giving?

Sacred space. This is how the Lord sees HIS land. We would call that land Israel. The Lord of heaven and earth tasked His people, Israel, to cleanse this land, taking it by force from a wicked people. As Christians, the Lord considers his church to be sacred space as well. The Lord Jesus commanded his people to be his witnesses in all the world. What is the greatest witness his people can give to the world? Come with the Grace United crew as we discover anew and afresh of the extent of God's blessings, both to Israel in ancient days and to his people in our day.

Sunday, July 11, 2021 – Welcome to our Sunday Worship service. Today we are beginning a new study about Jesus’s teachings that we call the Beatitudes. Reading through this passage in Matthew 5, we see the word Blessed used numerous times. What is Jesus meaning by this? So, we are going to try to define what God’s Blessings really mean for us. We know from scripture that it is God’s heart and will to bless us, yet we find that He gives us a choice in if we will receive and walk under the Blessing that He gives. One of the biggest takeaways from today’s message is that God’s Blessings don’t always appear to be blessings to us in the moment, but in the end they always are. We can also misuse God’s Blessings and turn them into a Curse if we’re not keeping our eyes focused on Christ. A simple definition of God’s blessings is this: “It’s anything, good or bad, that turns our eyes on Jesus”. Let that settle into your spirit so that the next time something “bad” happens to you, focus more on Jesus and less on the problem, and then see how God uses turns that “curse” into a “blessing”! Be blessed as you worship with us….

We are going to consider the story of Joseph as an example of what God does with his obedient children. I want us to see in action what God has saved us to do and why it is imperative that we obey God’s voice. In Genesis, God created Adam and Eve and blessed them them with the task to be fruitful and multiply. But Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s voice, so they were…

Do you realize how blessed you are? Even when life throws us curve balls, we have survived them. We are blessed. Take some time to look around at the things you have in your life and you will realize that you are blessed. It's the small things we should be grateful for, then we can appreciate when something big happens. If you are not hungry or living outside that is enough to be thankful for. If your family chain has not been broken that is something you can be thankful for. God's blessing around us. Think about it.

Paul left Athens after a time of unimpeded ministry there according to the end of chapter 17 and the first verses of chapter 18. But only a few had been saved and no church was founded. He traveled then to Corinth where he immediately made the acquaintance of a couple, Jewish tentmakers from Rome recently come as immigrants having been expelled from Rome by Emperor Claudius. As it turned out for them, God's work though all of that led to their eternal salvation and that of many more through their ongoing ministries. Paul testified then in the synagogue to Jews and Greeks but few seemed interested. However, upon leaving the synagogue and having pronounced judgment upon them, he announced that he was going to the Gentiles. Amazingly, at that point a leading Gentile and also the ruler of the synagogue believed. Later, the new ruler of the synagogue also believed and many other Jews and Gentiles as well. Thus the Corinthian church was established and it was time for Paul to go elsewhere. God's work in Corinth was a great blessing indeed for so many.
