We return to the 40's in our Agent Carter S02E08 Edge of Mystery Podcast as we discuss our top 5 points about this episode of Agent Carter with an all out battle over Zero Matter, the reunion of team SSR and a heartbreaking scene for some of our favourite Marvel TV characters. Synopsis for Agent Carter S02E08 Edge of Mystery Podcast Directed by: Metin Hüseyin Written by: Brant Englestein An anxious Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy) is soon put at ease as his wife Ana (Lotte Verbeek) survives surgery and begins to recover from her gunshot wound. However, Jarvis' relief soon turns to anger and vengeance as the Doctors inform him that Ana can no longer have children as a result of her injuries. This puts Jarvis on a collision course with Whitney Frost (Wynn Everett) as Peggy (Hayley Atwell) and Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) propose a trade with Frost - the Uranium rods stolen from Roxxon for Dr Jason Wilkes (Reggie Austin). As the exchange goes down little do both sides know that all is not what it seems. Agent Carter hands over fake radioactive rods, so Whitney gives the SSR a changed Jason Wilkes who has now accepted the importance of Zero Matter to his life and corporeal state. As Sousa reveals the location of the real uranium to Wilkes the race begins to stop Whitney Frost from opening the rift. At the Isodyne Energy test site, and with some help from Howard Stark, Dr Aloysius Herbert Samberley (Matt Braunger) and a gamma cannon, Carter and Sousa join Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray) , along with a revenge-seeking Jarvis to stop the rift from taking Wilkes to the other side. However, as the rift closes spitting out Wilkes, the consequences of the fissure and the ramifications of Zero Matter all come to a head in the desert outside LA. We're back this week with our Agent Carter S02E07 Monsters Podcast. This time in our top five points we discuss our three leading ladies, some more risque and hilarious humour in this weeks episode and a big change for the character of Jason Wilkes as he begins to get more desperate. Synopsis for Agent Carter S02E07 Monsters Podcast Directed by: Metin Hüseyin Written by: Brandon Easton The murder of Calvin Chadwick (Currie Graham) at the hands of Whitney Frost (Wynn Everett) is spun as just another lost at sea accident of the rich and famous in L.A. as Frost appears distraught, clothed in black and veiled. However, beneath her veil lies another reality as Joseph Manfredi (Ken Marino) is made her second in command and Vernon Masters (Kurtwood Smith) is tasked to to break Dottie Underwood (Bridget Regan); but after many used vials of sodium pentothal, Masters is re-assigned and tasked to recover the uranium rods stolen by Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) from Roxxon as Frost interrogates Dottie herself using more effective methods of torture. Elsewhere, as Frost uses her intel to hunt for even more dark powers, Peggy plots a rescue mission for Underwood as her necklace tracker reactivates hinting at a possible location and trap. Undeterred, Peggy, Jarvis (James D'Arcy) and the jitter bug infiltrate Manfredi's compound to release Dottie and the trap is sprung, but it is sprung against Dr Jason Wilkes (Reggie Austin), who unguarded, is kidnapped at gun point from Howard Stark's residence by Frost and Manfredi. In the ensuing escape and commotion a familiar friend is caught in the cross-fire and Dottie escapes once again in to the wind! We hope you enjoyed this weeks podcast. AGENT CARTER “THE LADY IN THE LAKE” AND “A VIEW IN THE DARK” [03:45] The Agents we very excited for the return of Peggy Carter to prime time network television with a two hour season two premiere of Agent Carter in the midst of 5 total hours of DC and Marvel comic book related TV in one night! It was delicious to see Dottie Underwood again and in Peggy Carter’s season 1 outfit! Agent Haley tells her theory on Dottie and all the agents appreciate the slugger fighting style, coins and all, of Agent Carter back on the screen. The Agents all gush over the newly cast Ana Jarvis and look forward to seeing her relationship bloom with Peggy in the coming episodes. The Flamingo Bernard Stark, or The Devil In Pink as his Stark family friends call him, has everyone captivated and we look forward to Bernard’s future adventures and Lauren coins the term “#FlamingoAndChill.” The Agents all loved Dr. Jason Wilkes and turn to the series showrunners to try and figure out what to expect for the Doctor’s return this season. Agent Haley brings up a theory on what zero matter really is and how it might tie in to the film Doctor Strange later this year. Agent Lauren brings up all sorts of history of Los Angeles in the late 1940’s including Black Dahila, Elizabeth Short, and racism. Agent Carter also drops some knowledge on the Secret Empire and Zodiac. As Agent Carter is playing her emotions off of Steve Rogers, Jason Wilkes and Daniel Sousa, the entrance of Violet is very bittersweet. However, Agent SP brings up his theory about the potential future Mrs. Sousa. Agent Thompson proves nothing to Legends Of S.H.I.E.L.D. except that he is a glory hound and even Jarvis is now better in a fight than Jack. From 1st episode I suspected Trish to be her sister or somehow related - hmmm, something flipped the bus before it fully hit Kilgrave, maybe he managed to mind-control busdriver to move abruptly the steering wheel - fuuuu...as soon as he started writing, immediately after Kilgrave my 2nd thought was he would write "kill me" - did Jessica subconsciously stalk Luke Cage?
