We have reached the end of Agent Carter Season 1!!! In this episode of Marvelous Divas, we discuss the Agent Carter episode "Valediction" (s1e8). Agent Carter has been a rollercoaster ride, but not necessarily a ride the Divas want to stop experiencing. It feels like we are moving through the Marvel Cinematic Universe very quickly. The divas finally discuss what they love about Agent Carter, including all the badass assassin action and the sad ending to this show. Also, listen to why the Divas thought the showrunners suspected Agent Carter would only last one season.
This week, Ty and Dan discuss the final four episodes of the first installment of Agent Carter. They discuss the merits of being standalone vs. helping out the larger narrative, do a couple corrections from last week, and talk about the surprising connection between Kelly Clarkson and Hannibal Lecter. This week, Ty and Dan discuss Marvel's 2015 foray into post-WWII MCU. Along the way they talk about the show; however, many tangents arise, including Drake Bell's criminal charges ,a rare Last Jedi rant and Danny's Ghostbuster ranking. They wrap it up by dropping the tea on Boba. Twitter: @whyiswithtyand1Write in to the show at whyiswithtydan@gmail.comFollow Dan on Letterboxd at blankments for MCU reviews and more.

This week, Kayleigh and Paul bemoan the death of quality writing in Agent Carter. We wonder which Disney villains would go well into the Marvel Universe, where Jarvis' wife's accent is meant to be from, and who the hell thought up that ridiculous "Enormous Turnip" climax. Please do subscribe, rate and review us with all your might!
This week we return to the 1940s (or a sci-fi parallel version of it at least) to see the adventures of Peggy Carter. We wonder what will happen with Captain America's blood in the Hudson, complain AGAIN about the shoddy prison management and we struggle to pronounce Leviathan correctly. Stay to the end for some post-credits banterousness. Please rate, review and love us unconditionally (as if you don't already)!
Our general thoughts after watching the complete series and where we position our outlook towards the MCU.
A quick re-cap and initial thoughts of the first season.

In this episode we get into Agent Carter's second and final season. We talk about how Gemma Chan is dating someone who is in this very show and how Sabrina apparently knows Iron Man 3 so well that her narration is captivating. As for Agent Carter, ABC, we still think you did her dirty and she deserved way more. In this episode we also get into the iffy decisions made about racism and the shining light that is the relationships the women of this show have with each other. Basically, bless the Jarvises. They are a shining light in this messed up world.
The first season of Agent Carter does not get enough recognition. Peggy Carter deserved more and Hayley Atwell deserves everything. And note on the “brothel laws” on St. Louis: Lily was misinformed. Those “laws” are just an urban legend; which is good.Lily was misinformed about “brothel laws” in St. Louis; they’re not real.
This week, our heroes do as Peggy says, and discuss the post-war adventures of our favorite SSR agent. It's Agent Carter!
This week, we're joined by Nerds Without Pants' Julian Titus for a (mostly) all TV Conspiracy episode as we discuss Denver Comic Con, Agent Carter Season 3, Lynda Carter on Supergirl, Gotham Season 2 finale, Justice League plot, Mephisto in Defenders, and being tired of comic book media. Starring Ryan Higgins, Brock Sager, Toby Sidler, Julian Titus, and Charlie West.
In a special bonus episode recorded just before it was confirmed that Agent Carter had been cancelled, Joe, Seb and James look back at the second season and discuss why it was one of our favourite superhero TV shows of recent years. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

To combat Frost's plans that will destroy earth as we know it, Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) must assemble a team to eliminate Zero Matter for good. So she turns to the three egos of Wilkes, Dr. Samberley (Matt Braunger) and Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) who like any self-respecting geniuses stand on the shoulders of giants to use Frost's work on the fissure to construct the "Shears of God" aka the rift generator. Along with Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray), Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) and Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy) the group open up a rift drawing Frost in to their trap that leads to Frost's capture and release of her Zero Matter back in to the void. As Peggy and Thompson get ready to head back to New York, both for very different reasons, find themselves staying longer than anticipated! Hey there Defenders welcome back to our Daredevil Season 2 coverage as we discuss our top 5 points in our Daredevil S02E03 New Yorks Finest Podcast. We talk about that amazing fight scene eventually, the return of a Defenders TV Podcast favourite character and a life or death choice for Daredevil. Spoiler filled Synopsis for Daredevil S02E03 New Yorks Finest Podcast Directed by: Marc Jobst Written by: Mark Verheiden Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) enlists the help of a trusted acquaintance, as Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) is asked if she knows the whereabouts of "a mutual friend" (aka Matt Murdoch, aka Daredevil(Charlie Cox)), following the failed action of the NYPD and DA's Office in the capture and arrest of the man code-named The Punisher. At the same time Karen (Deborah Ann Woll) has smartly obtained information from the DA's office that sheds further light on the vigilante with the name Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal). As Foggy and Claire search the Hospital records to track down Matt Murdoch little do they know that The Punisher has Daredevil chained to a chimney stack on a rooftop high above Hell's Kitchen. Not interested in the man behind the mask, Frank dismisses "Reds" approach to crime enforcement and gives Daredevil a moral conundrum to solve with a former client who is ethically questionable. Unable to save his client Daredevil in his rage escapes his binds and takes his anger out on The Punisher; on his way down the stairs, as Daredevil leaves to take the Punisher into police custody, he also takes his anger out on the Dogs of Hell in an epic fight. In all the confusion Frank Castle evades the Devil of Hell's Kitchen. To celebrate our 50th episode of Defenders TV Podcast we're off to a soirée at the Arena Club for our Agent Carter S02E06 Life of the Party Podcast. As always we discuss our top 5 points about this weeks episode from the original Black Widow back in action to the brand new black ooze unleashed, an undercover operation for Jarvis and a brand new state of affairs for the council of nine. Synopsis for Agent Carter S02E06 Life of the Party Podcast Directed by: Craig Zisk Written by: Eric Pearson After the de-phasing of Jason Wilkes (Reggie Austin), Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) realises she cannot hope to save him either on her own or without more of the Zero Matter. In an attempt to stabilise Wilkes, Peggy devises a desperate plan of her own and one that requires: tapping the only remaining source of Zero Matter, Whitney Frost (Wynn Everett); in one of the most dangerous locations for a woman in LA, the Arena Club; with the help and assistance from one of Peggy's most unexpected adversaries (or is that her number one fan), Dottie Underwood (Bridget Regan). Dottie is broken out of prison by Carter to put the plan in to action at one of Chadwick's campaign events and is paired with the indomitable Jeeves (I mean Jarvis). As the plan is put in to operation, another unexpected couple arrive at the event, Vernon Masters (Kurtwood Smith) and Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray), that further complicate events that has far reaching repercussions for both Dottie and Peggy. Meanwhile, an unusual Council meeting is taking place where Whitney Frost truly proclaims her power and demonstrates the deadly Zero Matter to both the Council and her ex-husband Calvin Chadwick (Currie Graham). We hope you enjoyed this weeks podcast. We will be back next week with Agent Carter Episode 7 Monsters. Thanks so much for joining us for the latest episode of our Agent Carter Season 2 podcast. But Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) is experiencing her own fallout as she blames herself for the death of Dr Wilkes and refutes the Wilkes-Russian spy theory as patsy talk that places her on a collision course with her superiors and Chief Thompson. As Peggy and Jarvis infiltrate the Arena club to find out more information, weird events and strange goings on bring a pleasant surprise for Peggy who can now focus her investigation on Whitney Frost. However, as Whitney Frost senses Peggy and the SSR closing in she focuses the Arena Club's resources against Peggy just as she starts to find and focus her own new found energies on those around her to devastating effect. We're finding it hard to Smile this week as we reach the end of our coverage of the latest and possibly best Marvel and Netflix TV show. Join us for our Jessica Jones S01E13 AKA Smile Podcast discussion all about the finale of the Marvel TV show. This time we discuss whether Jessica can fly, how Claire Temple plays in her second Netflix appearance and the final showdown between Jessica Jones and Kevin Kilgrave. We've loved covering this series since the 20th of November 2015 and we're delighted that it ended on a high. Synopsis for Jessica Jones S01E13 AKA Smile Podcast After her shot to his head, Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Luke Cage (Mike Colter) get some unexpected help at the hospital from someone else in Jessica's neighborhood who is intimately acquainted with gifted heroes. As she looks after an injured Luke, Jessica and Trish (Rachael Taylor) track down Kilgrave (David Tennant). However, unknown to Jessica, Kilgrave has augmented his mind control to a powerful new threshold...and this time he is willing to use them to deadly effect against her. With Kilgrave tracked and cornered at the harbour he uses his enhanced powers to control larger crowds and seemingly Jessica. As she appears to accept that she is under Kilgrave's command he exerts his powers over Jessica choosing to punish her by controlling Trish and giving him hope that she loves him. As the question remains about her immunity from his influence, out of the blue (or is that purple) Kilgrave's hopes for him and Jessica are snapped away from him!! As Kilgrave's influence recedes from New York, word of Jessica's heroics permeate through the city as her phone starts to buzz with calls asking for her help. We hope you enjoy our Jessica Jones S01E13 AKA Smile Podcast and we all want to say a huge thank you to all of our listeners and everyone who provided us feedback throughout our run on this show we hope you'll join us for our coverage of our next show Marvel's Agent Carter Season 2 which begins in the UK on Thursday the 28th of January 2016. Thanks! Awesome Live tweet last night - EMAIL Andreas Kuehn Jan 16, 2016 to stargatepioneer Hi SP, after many weeks I can find the time to watch Jessica Jones. And since Netflix expanded globally even without "other means". So here we go with the 1st episode. - first time ever on a tv show they showed the main character being out of toilet paper? - enjoying the stakeout music tunes - do what?? What dies this sappy British voice tell her to do? - very fast and strong enough to lift the back of a car, interesting. oh, and sarcastic - damn, Tennant licking her face! - Purple Man wants Jessica to have meaningless sex? - Niku's location triggering some repressed memories, and her leaving it makes my head feel dizzy - the effect of Jessica looking at the dreaded door, I expect some Nazgul to appear - the second Jessica left her flat and went towards the elevator I felt something BAD was about to happen, damn that was messed up! bottom line: for a pilot it set some stuff up but didn't had me so much interested like the first episode of Daredevil; 6 out of 10 ceiling dents from thrown boots Episode 2 - cop questioning Jessica, actor played a corrupt role on Person of Interest so I can't trust his character yet in this series - Pam's Cleavage is very prominent, I wonder if Kilgrave planted her in that office to get close to Carrie Ann Moss - "was" Jessica's best friend? From 1st episode I suspected Trish to be her sister or somehow related - hmmm, something flipped the bus before it fully hit Kilgrave, maybe he managed to mind-control busdriver to move abruptly the steering wheel - fuuuu...as soon as he started writing, immediately after Kilgrave my 2nd thought was he would write "kill me" - did Jessica subconsciously stalk Luke Cage? I'm confused - broken bottle not even left a mark on Luke Cage's skin...something has to be up with him - Kilgrave's weakness apparently are anesthetics, sounds to me they only need to capture him in a glass box and gas him with them, like they did in Rogue Nation - Unbreakable and doesn't feel pain, I fear if Kilgrave manages to mind-control Luke Cage what damage he could do bottom line: definitely got me more interested, 7 out of 10 heart-filled scrubs Andi Outro [54:59] Haley, Lauren and Stargate Pioneer love to hear back from you about your top 5 Marvel character lists, your science of Marvel questions, who would you pick in an all-female Avenger team, or who’s Marvel abs you would like to see. Matt and Jeff get down on all the news and talk about the premiere of Agent Carter!
Seriously, the synopsis of Ninja Steel sounds like the greatest thing. Whoever we end up using as this Zircon guy, be it original or from ToQger or Ninninger, he needs to be flamboyant and extravagant. Or just Steve Harvey dressed as a monster. Either works for me. Join us as we discuss the latest news (Ninja Steel), and well, that's about it. Super Hero Time met an unruly demise as Ghost 13 never made it to release before we recorded. Instead, we discuss the Ninninger movie...yay. Ramble Time gets some action with a bunch of new #Pokemon20 news, discussions of iZombie and a look back at Agent Carter Season 1. Pretty sporadic show this week. Things will kick into high gear next week as Super Hero Time is back, the DC shows are back, and everything is happy in life.---Be sure to follow us on our twitter @TheRRRPodcast, and on our Facebook Page! In our first visit to New York Comic Con as Defenders we got the opportunity to check out the Marvel Netflix cast and creator panels for Jessica Jones and Daredevil Season 2, this included, as a huge surprise for the audience, the first airing of the pilot episode of Marvels Jessica Jones that will be released (with the other 12 episodes) on the 20th November 2015. In this podcast we discuss our spoiler free impressions of the episode and tone of the show. We also announce our brand new competition to win some of the sweet Marvel related swag that we picked up at New York Comic Con, including the exclusive Jessica Jones Poster art, the Daredevil poster art, a hard copy of the Jessica Jones prequel comic by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos, and the double sided Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 3 and Agent Carter Season 2 poster all exclusively available at New York Comic Con. All you have to do is write a review for Defenders TV Podcast over at iTunes or Stitcher and pop us on an email to feedback@defenderstvpodcast.com with your details. The Daredevil panel gave us a look at a great sizzle reel that recapped Season 1 of Daredevil and gave us a peek at Season 2 that introduced Elektra Natchios (Played by Elodie Yung) and Frank Castle (aka The Punisher played by Jon Bernthal) to Hell's Kitchen. The full cast and show runners of both Daredevil and Jessica Jones were in attendance at one of our favourite panels from this years New York Comic Con. You can check out the Daredevil sizzle reel from the panel below. Hosted by Jeph Loeb (Marvel's Head of TV) and Agent Coulson himself, Clark Gregg, we also got to catch up with Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter. The panel audience were treated to an advanced screening of Episode 3 "A Wanted (Inhu)Man" from Season 3 of Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D. and we were given a chance to indulge in the humour of the Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter) and James D'Arcyy (Edwin Jarvis) live (or not so live) from Hollywood and get a look at a scene from Agent Carter Season 2. Finally, we also checked out the LEGO Marvel's Avengers panel that took a look at the new upcoming LEGO game set for release in January 2016. As you would expect it involved tonnes of clips, loads of in-game Easter eggs and great fun at this panel that mixed up TT Game's respect of the films with their cheeky slap-stick style. You can check out the films featured in the game in the NYCC release trailer for the game below. Go Banana, Go Chicken and Go Piggy!! We hope you enjoyed our look back at the New York Comic Con 2015 event and in particular the excitement that we had for the Marvels Jessica Jones preview that aired during the Marvel Netflix panels. The Defenders can't wait to return on 20th November 2015 with the full crew for Defenders TV Podcast's look at Marvel Netflix's Jessica Jones, starring Krysten Ritter, David Tennant, Mike Colter, Eka Darville, Rachael Taylor and Carrie-Anne Moss. In the meantime if you want to check out our coverage of Daredevil Season 1 and Agent Carter then head over to Defenders TV Podcast. See you soon and thanks for listening. In Agent Carter A Sin To Err, written by Lindsey Allen and directed by Stephen Williams, Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) is on the trail of a female Russian spy who may have used her wiles to get access to Howard Stark's weaponry. With the aid of Jarvis (James D'Arcy), Agent Carter finds out what the Stark Special is and just how many women are on Stark's list. However SSR Agent Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) has found the final connection to break the case he has been investigating which leads to an epic showdown at the Griffith Hotel. Meanwhile Dottie Underwood (Bridget Regan) takes a trip to the dentist with an unforeseen outcome and Angie Martinelli (Lyndsy Fonseca) acts to save Peggy Carters life. Thanks again for joining us for our Agent Carter A Sin to Err Podcast. If you have any thoughts on Agent Carter, Ant-Man, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Fantastic Four or of course Daredevil and the future Netflix shows please send them to feedback@defenderstvpodcast.com and we'll discuss them on our future podcasts. The Defenders TV Podcast will return next week with our thoughts on the penultimate Agent Carter Episode "SNAFU" where we will see the fall out of Agent Sousa's discovery.
