Is he upset at all that at least Clint didn't make it back? But the real bulk of this minute isn't about Loki. It's about the damage he's done. We get to spend Agent Phil Coulson's last moments with him here as Nick finds him and tries to keep him alive. We talk about the importance of Coulson to the film and the franchise, as well as how he and this Fury ended up in 616. We also discuss how bringing people back – sometimes more than once – can diminish heavy moments like this.Hill and Natasha react as well, even if Natasha's likely also upset about Clint and wondering if he'll be the same when he wakes up. --Story-- (A HUGE thanks to Ahsoka-2Sabers for writing the story for this video! Check her out on Wattpad: https://www.wattpad.com/user/Ahsoka-2Sabers) The safe house is cold and dark, but at least you're out of the rain. Agent Barton shuts the door softly behind him while Agent Romanoff immediately starts building a fire. You drop Barton's jacket, which he had loaned you to fend off the rain, onto a chair. You sink into the couch, your sore and exhausted muscles groaning with relief. It had been a fight to get out of the lab. You were not trained for field combat, but thankfully agents Barton and Romanoff were the best of the best. Once you all got out, Agent Phil Coulson ordered you to lay low in a safe house. When you graduated from the S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy as a scientist, you never thought you would make enemies along the way. That was for the field agents like Clint Barton and Natasha Romanoff. Now some psycho who is... not human is after you for information only you possess. Director Fury assigned STRIKE Team: Delta to protect you until the threat is neutralized, but even they were not enough for this monster's wrath. So many agents and fellow scientists were killed trying to get to you. Too many. You push aside the memory of your coworker's bodies and focus on the heavy footsteps of Barton's boots. At last, Romanoff got a fire going. Its warmth seeps into your skin and slows your shivering. As you start to relax, the heat makes you drowsy. You stretch across the couch, tuck a throw pillow beneath your head, and close your eyes. You hear Barton in the kitchen brewing coffee for himself and Natasha. He sighs, sounding tired and defeated. You always wanted to meet STRIKE Team: Delta. Clint Barton and Natasha Romanoff were living S.H.I.E.L.D. legends. Rumor has it, they-despite having no superpowers-were potential candidates for the Avengers Initiative. You never thought you would ever work with them, let alone be under their protection. You almost jump as cold yet gentle fingers brush against your shoulder as someone-Romanoff- drapes a warm, scratchy blanket over you. You can't hear her movements until the sharp scrape of a knife being sharpened accompanies the rumbling thunder outside. As you lay on the sofa half- asleep, you catch murmured conversation between the two assassins: "Natasha… how many agents-?" "Don't. Don't do that to yourself, Clint. This is monsters and magic, and nothing we were ever trained for." "He got away?" Clint sighs. "Yeah.” You want to tell them it's okay. The deaths of those agents are not their fault. The villain's escape is not their fault. You are alive and safe, therefore they're succeeding in their mission. You want to tell them they are heroes, except you don't think they would appreciate you eavesdropping on their conversation. "He's gonna make his play soon though. Today." "We got to stop him.” "Yeah? Who's 'we'?" "I don't know. Whoever's left." In the late hours of the night-or maybe the early hours of the morning now-your mind and body finally relaxes. Exhausted from the trials of the day before, you slowly succumb to sleep, lulled by the sounds of knife sharpening, your own soft breathing, and the low murmurs of the ones who will stay awake all night to protect you. For the first time since this living nightmare began, you feel safe.

Received praise from critics, especially for Downey's performance. It was selected by the American Film Institute as one of the ten best films of 2008 and received two nominations at the 81st Academy Awards for Best Sound Editing and Best Visual Effects. This is film one of phase one of the marvel cinematic universe, that has since spawned 26 films, with 12 more currently in production. It is the highest-grossing film franchise of all time, having grossed over $23.5 billion at the global box office. This includes Avengers: Endgame, which became the highest-grossing film of all time upon release. First time you saw the movie? Plot:The film opens with Tony Stark, who has inherited Stark Industries from his late father Howard Stark, in war-torn Afghanistan with his friend and military liaison, Lieutenant colonel James "Rhody" Rhodes, to demonstrate the new "Jericho" missile. After the demonstration, the convoy, and Starks fun-vee, not Rhodys hum-drum-vee, is ambushed and Stark is critically wounded by a missile used by the attackers: one of his company's own. He is captured and imprisoned in a cave by a terrorist group called the Ten Rings. A fellow captive and doctor named Yinsen, implants an electromagnet into Stark's chest to keep the shrapnel shards that wounded him from reaching his heart and killing him... Chris, does your implant even do anything like that to keep you alive? Ten Rings leader Raza offers Stark freedom in exchange for building a Jericho missile for the group, but he and Yinsen know that Raza will not keep his word. S:-The music for this movie is PERFECTION.-RDJ, with all of his life issues, was born to play Tony Stark.  Stark and Yinsen bond, and secretly build a small, powerful electric generator called an arc reactor to power Stark's electromagnet and a prototype suit of powered armor to aid in their escape. Although they keep the suit hidden almost to completion, the Ten Rings discover their hostages' intentions and attack the workshop like Trey attacks a whole fucking pint of ice cream. Like Treys stomach, Yinsen sacrifices himself to divert the terrorists while the suit powers up. The armored Stark battles his way out of the cave (like the ice cream does to Treys stomach) to find the dying Yinsen, then burns the Ten Rings' weapons in anger and flies away, crashing in the desert and destroying the suit. After being rescued by Rhody, Stark returns home and announces that his company will cease manufacturing weapons. Obadiah Stane, his father's old partner and the company's manager, advises Stark that this may ruin Stark Industries and his father's legacy and urges him to reconsider. In his home workshop, Stark builds a sleeker, more powerful version of his improvised armor suit as well as a more powerful arc reactor for it and his chest. Personal assistant Pepper Potts places the original reactor inside a small glass showcase. Though Stane requests details of the Mk2, a suspicious Stark decides to keep his work to himself. S:-I love the use of all the practical effects. They built a REAL suit, and the mk1 suit was real, too. This is before all the computer animation that makes up most of the movies today, like Shang-Chi (which I watched last night).  At a charity event held by Stark Industries, reporter Christine Everhart (the woman from the opening of Trick r Treat) informs Stark that his company's weapons were recently delivered to the Ten Rings and are being used to attack Yinsen's home village, Gulmira. Stark dons his new armor and flies to Afghanistan, where he saves the villagers, and leaves one of the generals to the citizens of the village. Also, one of the BEST visuals, when the tank shoots at him, and he fires a tiny rocket, and walks away when it blows up. While flying home, Stark is attacked by two F-22 Raptors. He reveals his secret identity to Rhodes over the phone in an attempt to end the attack. Meanwhile, the Ten Rings gather the pieces of Stark's prototype suit and meet with Stane, who has been trafficking arms to the Ten Rings and has staged a coup to replace Stark as Stark Industries' CEO by hiring the Ten Rings to kill him. He subdues Raza and has the rest of the group killed. Stane has a massive new suit reverse engineered from the wreckage. Seeking to track his company's illegal shipments, Stark sends Potts to hack into its database. She discovers that Stane hired the Ten Rings to kill Stark, quicker than Tucker could uncover the identity of the famed Opelika Butthole Tickler, who was sneaking into peoples houses, and tickling their buttholes... but the group reneged when they realized they had a direct route to Stark's weapons. Potts meets with Agent Phil Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D., an intelligence agency, to inform him of Stane's activities. S:-Its a classic, and somewhat tropy move to have the partner and manager be the bad guy all along...but it works so well, and Jeff Bridges does it so well.  Stane's scientists cannot duplicate Stark's miniaturized arc reactor, so Stane ambushes Stark at his home and steals the one from his chest. Stark manages to get to his original reactor to replace it before dying. Potts and several S.H.I.E.L.D. agents attempt to arrest Stane, but he dons his suit and attacks them. Stark fights Stane but is outmatched without his new reactor to run his suit at full capacity. The fight carries Stark and Stane to the top of the Stark Industries building, and Stark instructs Potts to overload the large arc reactor powering the building. This unleashes a massive electrical surge that causes Stane and his armor to fall into the exploding reactor, killing him. The next day, at a press conference, Stark publicly admits to being the superhero the press has dubbed "Iron Man". In a post-credits scene, S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury visits Stark at home, telling him that Iron Man is not "the only superhero in the world", and explaining that he wants to discuss the "Avenger Initiative". S:-My biggest complaint is the end fight was good, but kinda sucks that we've seen this whole movie building the different suits, prototypes, tests, etc... and then we don't even get to see the fight at full capacity. We don't get to see what the suit can really do. Potts has to help him win.   Top Five Trivia of the movie: 5: Rhodys ringtone is the 1966 Iron Man cartoon theme music4:One of the cars in Tony Stark's garage, is a Tesla Roadster, which had not yet been released during the film's production.3: Rock guitarist Tom Morello assisted Ramin Djawadi in composing the film's soundtrack. Morello had a cameo in the film as a security guard who gets killed by the Iron Monger2: This is the last film special effects expert Stan Winston completed before his death.1: The line, "I am Iron Man" was ad-libbed by Robert Downey Jr.. Minute Thirty: From Asgard to Midgard This is our last day of individual guests for each day, but it's a great way to finish it off as we have Justin Jaeger from TruStory FM's Trailer Rewind podcast to talk with us about Thor's banishment from Asgard to Midgard. In the thirtieth minute of Kenneth Branagh's 2011 film Thor... The jerk finally realizes he's been a jerk. This is really a big comeuppance for Thor here. Once again, the conversation turns back to Thor's eyebrows. They're really bad here. It was great to be on Jotunheim for a while where his eyebrows actually had more of a semblance of normalcy. There have been quite a range of emotions going across Thor's face in the last few minutes. We love how shocked and vulnerable he suddenly looks here. It's clear he never had any idea there might be consequences for this. And that's after bringing up again that Sif told him this was forbidden. Is it Frigga who had spoiled him too much? We certainly get that sense when reflecting on the coronation scene earlier in the film. Odin has such a great dramatic pause here as he locks down what he wants to do. He's processing a lot in this small moment. And had he already whittled Thor's punishment down to this final banishment? If Thor had shown remorse, would Odin have gone so far? Was he thinking sending Thor from Asgard to Midgard would be good punishment? When Odin references ‘loved ones' that Thor has betrayed, is he meaning just the family? Or all of Asgard? Loki has such a great tennis match moment here as he watches this fight. Is he sad at all that his actions have brought this all down on Thor? Or just shocked that Odin has taken it to this point? Or is he really just biting his lip with glee? We try to figure out the lore and history of Mjølnir. Odin not only takes Mjølnir from Thor but he uses it to strip the armor from Thor's arms. He then uses it to banish Thor, blasting him back into the Bifrost to cast him out. It says a lot that Odin uses Thor's own weapon to cast him out. It's a shame, though, that we don't get more pointed moments later in the franchise that point out the specifics of Thor's armor and rank. But what's interesting is that Odin then whispers what seems to be a spell into Mjølnir – a line of text that had been written on it in the comics – “Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.” So it seems that in the MCU at least, this is the moment when only those who are worthy can wield Mjølnir. This is certainly different from mythology. Is it also a part of fact that Mjølnir, like Gungnir, is made of Uru that allows it to be enchanted thus? There's also that ‘he' in that spell. It just feels dated now. With Taika Waititi behind the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder, we sort of expect that he's going to find a way to deal with that. Kinda like that moment in Star Trek 6. Does it matter that Odin says ‘hold' versus ‘lift'? It seems a bit like a semantic battle, eh? So Odin banishes Thor from Asgard to Midgard. And it's incredibly dramatic. As far as sending Thor through the Bifrost then Mjølnir through immediately afterward, the scene construction is a bit wonky as we do cross the line, making it appear as if Odin sends the hammer in the complete opposite direction of Thor. Is that just meant to show us that it's not going to land directly on top of Thor? Is it just planetary rotation? To that end, how does he actually operate the Bifrost and Heimdall's Observatory with Gungnir? Is there a mental connection? Again, Loki gives great stone faces through all of this. Thor's trip through the Bifrost looks so much rougher than his earlier journey. Was that because he had Mjølnir? Or more because of his intentionality on that journey as opposed to this one where he's thrown into it? Or is this because Odin operates it with Gungnir, not Heimdall with Hofund? And we're back on Earth. I mean, Midgard. Well, you know what we mean. Thor lands and we have several shorthand shots to put us back into that moment when they drive into the atmospheric disturbance (aka the Bifrost) then crash into Thor. It's the exact same shot that we saw back in minute 3, but here it's clear they haven't manipulated the lighting so we can now actually see they crash into Thor as opposed to some shadowy figure. Meanwhile in the MCU, we learn that Thor's coronation, the attack on Odin's vault, and Thor's journey with his friends to Jotunheim all happened on May 30th. Interestingly, they actually return on the 31st of May so somewhere in there, there may be a time zone they crossed. So Thor lands on Midgard, aka Earth, on May 31st, 2010, the same day that General Ross battles Hulk at Culver University, Tony Stark battles Ivan Vanko, aka Whiplash, at the Stark Expo, and that Agent Phil Coulson stops several robbers from holding up a small gas station in the deserts of New Mexico. From Thor's banishment from Asgrd to Midgard, to Odin's spell on Mjølnir, to Loki's reaction, to the rough trip through the Bifrost, to Thor getting hit by a car, we cover a lot with JJ. Tune in! Halfway Through the Hiatus Marvel One-Shot: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer As we inch closer to the release of Season Four, we dig into one of the One-Shots. The One-Shots were a series of short films that Marvel produced to be released on several of their movies when released on physical media. This particular One-Shot was actually released on the Captain America: The First Avenger Blu-ray and DVD, not on Thor. For our purposes, however, it makes a lot more sense to talk about this one now because the events in it literally take place as Agent Phil Coulson, always played with incredible charm by Clark Gregg, drives from LA to New Mexico to investigate what turns out to be the arrival of Thor and his hammer on Midgard, aka Earth. In this episode, Matthew and Andy are joined by Pete Wright. You remember Pete – co-host of season one: Iron Man. He's also the co-host with Andy on The Next Reel film podcast. (It's certainly worth checking out if you haven't already.) So much to talk about in this One-Shot! Even though it's a short film, there is a lot in here to discuss. Just where is Puento Antiguo exactly? We try to plot that out based on the mileage signs. And how about all that product placement. It's everywhere except the gas pump itself which advertises Roxxon. Yeah, that Roxxon. We debate which Little Debbie donut would be the smarter pick for Coulson, but he's interrupted by men with guns holding the gas station up. Coulson's incredibly good at disarming the robbers with his off-putting and weirdly direct comments. Did you know the stunt work in this One Shot used up 80% of the budget for this one and The Consultant? It just goes to show how smart they were in using the money. We discuss the stunt performers as well as the connection to the original Broadway show and subsequent movie “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.” Why is it so hard to find the One-Shots?? The biggest question we have with the short is why Disney doesn't seem interested in doing anything with this or the other One-Shot shorts officially. (We say that knowing they've put them on Disney + periodically, most notably with the buzz growing for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. They were only officially released on the physical media editions of several of the MCU films. Why? We may never know, but what we do know is that it's a lot of fun and certainly worth a watch. "We do," he said. "And the script is in the works and Ryan [Reynolds] is working very hard on it with our writers as we speak."   Letitia Wright injured doing Black Panther stunt https://variety.com/2021/film/news/letitia-wright-hospitalized-black-panther-wakanda-forever-1235049077/ “Letitia Wright sustained minor injuries today while filming a stunt for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.' In particular, he was asked how Phase 4 and the exploration of the multiverse will tie into What If….? Read what he had to say below:   “That's the fun thing about having the What If…? series now; we can explore questions just like that,” said Feige. “And I will say, just as season 1 is tapping into films and storylines from the MCU that you've seen up to this point, season 2 will definitely incorporate movies from Phase 4.”   Scarlett Johansson Slams “Misogynistic” Disney Response As Mouse House Tries To Move ‘Black Widow' Suit Behind Closed Doors – Update https://deadline.com/2021/08/scalett-johansson-disney-lawsuit-black-widow-response-arbitration-1234819262/   Disney insists Marvel's contract with Johansson provides for arbitration exactly in the event of a dispute like this one that erupted on July 29   MCU – Non-MARVEL STUDIOS   Spider-Man: No Way home Trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rt-2cxAiPJk   DISNEY+   Marvel Studios' ‘What If…?': Jeffrey Wright Talks Voicing Marvel's Most ‘Passionate Fan' with The Watcher https://www.marvel.com/articles/tv-shows/what-if-jeffrey-wright-the-watcher   “The character's an interesting one,” he explains. “He's got these strange powers that we've never really witnessed before. He has access to these worlds, and he has a type of vision that is pretty much singular to him. There was a lot of stuff to be excited about, and to play with, and to try to figure out. The Watcher is introduced on the cover of 1963's FANTASTIC FOUR as the most dramatic being in all of the universe. If you get asked as an actor to play something like that, you kind of take interest! It's all about that drama. He's born into the Marvel Universe in an interesting way, popping out on the moon there with the Fantastic Four. I wanted to find out who he was so that I could figure out, how might he sound for the first time, hearing him?”   Kevin Feige Gives Update on ‘Loki' Season 2, Says Director Search Will Begin Shortly https://collider.com/loki-season-2-update-filming-when-kevin-feige-interview/   Collider's Steve Weintraub spoke with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige during the press day for Marvel's new film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, he asked Feige for an update on Loki Season 2. The Marvel executive was characteristically tight-lipped, but did confirm development is underway and the hope is to retain much of the same team that made Season 1 of the series:   “It is underway. We're developing it as we speak. The hope is that much of the same team will return. Kate is going on to bigger and better things, so the director search will begin shortly.”   As for when Loki Season 2 might start filming, Feige promised he's “not being evasive” but said he's “not sure exactly where it falls between next year and the year after.” So production could begin as soon as 2022, or it might not go before cameras until 2023, which means an even longer wait until it's on Disney+.   Loki was not originally planned as an ongoing series, but the decision to make a second season was made during production, which led to some tweaks to the final episode. After the finale of Loki aired, reports surfaced that Hiddleston will be seen as Loki in the feature film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. So it's possible that whatever Loki Season 2 is is tied to how the multiverse unfurls across the next few Marvel movies. Shang-Chi and Eternals both appear to be fairly disconnected from the multiverse idea, but Spider-Man: No Way Home and the aforementioned Doctor Strange sequel both reportedly deal with the arrival of the multiverse pretty heavily.   Marvel's ‘Armor Wars' Starring Don Cheadle Taps Yassir Lester As Head Writer Of Disney+ Series https://deadline.com/2021/08/marvels-armory-war-yassir-lester-1234818795/ Sources say Yassir Lester has been brought on to pen Armor Wars starring Don Cheadle, who will reprise his role of James Rhodes aka War Machine. Director, Nick Fury, and agent Natasha Romanoff are powerless to prevent the death of Tony Stark. Romanoff is accused of his murder, but slips away from the S.H.I.E.L.D. strike force team led by Brock Rumlow. Tuesday. In Mexico a mysterious hammer has caught the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D. Under the watchful gaze of Clint Barton the hammer's owner, with amazing hair, comes to retrieve his property as Barton fires his arrow into the heart of Thor the God of Thunder. Clint Barton is held under lock and key for his murder. Hours later, despite around the clock supervision, Clint is found dead in his cell. Later that day Loki arrives from Asgard backed up by the warriors Three and an army of Asgardians. He wants to punish the puny planet for the murder of Thor. But convinced that smaller forces are at play, Nick persuades Loki that they should work together to catch their common enemy. Wednesday, following Fury's orders, Natasha pays a visit to Doctor Betty Ross and meets Bruce Banner. During an attack from Betty's father, General Thaddeus Ross, Banner is hit by an unexpected shot. Transforming into the Hulk the misunderstood monster suddenly grows bigger until his body explodes. The Incredible Hulk and Bruce Banner are dead. Another future Avenger removed. We are back on The MCU'S Bleeding Edge Podcast here on Anchor with a outstanding and pretty long episode reviewing Iron Man, starring Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark, with Podcast Of Champions. We are joined for the first time by Alexis, who I met through us both being guests on the Radulich In Broadcasting Network,  a very experienced guest in the podcasting/ live-streaming world, and also our second female MCU fan/ content creator, Yvonne Rempel, host of On The Road To Damascus podcast also on Anchor. We also have Taylor for his second appearance and lastly, also new to the show, The Grandmaster( Remco) both from Podcast Of Champions who we are connecting this Infinity Saga Review Series with, this being part 3. Of course Iron Man started the entire MCU and was the first of what would become over 20 films in what is now called the Infinity Saga. It is a well reviewed film with a excellent secondary cast and some neat cameos of Agent Phil Coulson and of course the famous end credit scene with Nick Fury, where we were first heard the words " Avengers Initiative", something that seemed like a fairly tale at one point until Marvel Studios came out setting the stage right from jump In Iron Man and letting us know essentially we were getting a Avengers solo film. Jon Favreau directs the film and also plays Happy Hogan, security for Tony Stark, in the movie as well. We get excellent performances from Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts and Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane. Terrence Howard makes his one appearance as James( War Machine) Rhodes. Its a excellent and classic film and we deliver a excellent show here with wonderful contributions from our guest panel. Moderated by Jeff Sloboda, co-host of The MCU'S Bleeding Edge, we hope you enjoy this episode and wish everyone out there a thanks for supporting our content.  --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/the-mcus-bleeding-edge/message

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been around almost as long as The Regular Joes Podcast. Last week, after seven wildly inconsistent seasons, the serially reanimated Agent Phil Coulson and his stalwart squad of Agents, former Agents, and not quite Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. finally bid adieu. It’s been a bumpy ride. But, for those dedicated, or just stubborn, watchers who stuck it out the 12 episode 7th season provided some of the best moments the series has offered. If you haven’t watched season 7 this episode does contain some SPOILERS, but hopefully the Joes (rare) unanimous endorsement will inspire you to finish the ride. Ok, so Lower Decks, week two ... yeah, what can we say. We promise we won’t be updating you again on this until something changes. So maybe never. The Taste Buds have no time for their typical B.S., because this is a huge week! No Bullpen, no Shushies, because Doom Patrol is gone for the year, and maybe forever! The season was cut short for stupid Covid, but does it still land the sticking? And then, INT THE SAME WEEK, The Umbrella Academy Season 2 premiered, so the Taste Buds cover this one episode before they jump to two-a-week next episode. That seems like so much! But then, in the meantime, they also cover the second-to-last weeks of Agents of SHIELD and Stargirl, and the SEASON FINALE of Warrior Nun. Could one show just have a normal episode this week? The Superhero Show Show #334Better Earp Than NeverOn an all-new The Superhero Show Show, the Taste Buds discuss the season premiere of Wynonna Earp!Cassie makes her triumphant return to the show, and kicks Mike's ass right off of her throne. Her first task is to lead the Taste Buds through a fantasy draft! Cassie, Mike, and Ryan each draft a four-person team of Agents of SHIELD characters they think will show up in the final three episodes of the season. Then the Friends turn their attention to the return of the much-heralded, much-missed Wynonna Earp! Back after a two-year hiatus, the show picks up right where it left off, confusing the crap out of everyone - particularly Cassie, who is watching the show for the first time. But plot isn't what matters on Wynonna Earp, as the cast and writers get directly to the jokes, references, and character moments. And if that wasn't enough, they also discuss new episodes of Doom Patrol, Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, Stargirl, and Warrior Nun!EPISODES DISCUSSED:DOOM PATROL #208Watch Doom Patrol on HBO Max!To prove her worth in the Underground, Jane brings Larry to rural Arkansas to help her retrieve an invaluable item. Can these two dingleberries person-up and get through an entire show on their own? For anyone who has heard the podcast The OCD...maybe? This week, Stargirl, Cassie's favorite show, is in the spotlight, so things don't look good. They don't look good for the podcast, and they definitely don't look good for Courtney and the Justice League, Jr, as the Injustice League is getting stronger by the day. Sean answers your Marvel questions!3:05 Jim ScroggsDo you know if AMC A List reservations are counted toward pre-sale ticket numbers?3:56 Jim ScroggsWith Rhodes in the Air Force and considering his age, is it possible that he and Carol might have crossed paths?4:48 Jim ScroggsDo you see Marvel adding a character with Marines and/or Naval background to complete the service academy representation5:26 Paul ShearmanHey Sean and patrons, happy Captain Marvel weekend!! I've been MIA recently from these Q&A's, but I've been listening in and enjoying the conversations (and Sean's answers of course!) here and on the Discord. Whilst I've not been joining in much lately, this great community has kept me going over some difficult recent weeks, so a big thank you to you all!So, Captain Marvel huh...?  Wow, I just love this film so much - I've seen it twice in 24 hours thanks to some careful scheduling and it's just perfect. Brie Larson is just exceptional as Carol Danvers, I feel she embodies the character from the comics so well, whilst bringing her own qualities to the role. From the Stan Lee tribute at the start (very emotional and wonderfully inventive) this movie never missed a beat throughout.Whilst I know it's still very early to be making lots of judgements on various aspects of the movie, I'm keen to know if there was any stand out scene for you Sean, that you either never saw coming or was just a particular highlight? Thanks as always for your time, and hope everyone gets to go higher further faster with this awesome movie!13:27 brentacPrimeCaptain Marvel spoiler question. What was the biggest surprise for you?15:18 Robert KlauserWhat's up Sean? Do you think that there's a setup for Carol similar to Scarlett Witch? We see that Mar Vel was in possession of the tesseract and I believe she used that to make her FTL ship and that's where Carol got her powers from when she shot that energy core. So the setup would be that Carol Danvers can somehow destroy the space stone because her powers might have the same signature as the space stone. Do you think that this is theory is something they could allude to in Endgame or is this more of a “been there don't that” with Wanda and the Mind Stone?18:31 Matt OswaldWe know that SHIELD was in possession of the Tesseract after Howard Stark recovered it, and Loki stole it from a Project Pegasus facility in the Avengers. It is obvious that Fury did not know the real Identity of Lawson even though he at least knew of the existence of Pegasus. Do you think any of the top brass at SHIELD knew her real identity?19:46 Matt OswaldOne of the things that has bothered me a little about Captain Marvel is the apparent lack of security around the Tesseract at Project Pegasus. We know at the start of the Avengers that there are SHIELD agents like Hawkeye assigned to guard the Tesseract. Apparently during the 90's security was a little more lax around the project since Lawson was able to take the tesseract out of the facility, and to her Kree space ship/lab. It seems like somone should have noticed that the Tesseract was missing from the facility. One might be able to reason that after the crash, it was believed that the Tesseract was destroyed in the crash. But we don't see any evidence in the film that before the crash anyone even noticed it was gone. Am I reading too much into this?22:51 Mookie JohnsonDo you feel the way that Captain Marvel ended reduces the chances the secret invasion is a pursued storyline?25:13 Woo S! KimWho between these two characters Agent Peggy Carter and Agent Phil Coulson are you more surprised by their popularity and how they are really embedded in the MCU and why?  My vote is for Phil Coulson do you have any other characters like Coulson or Peggy Carter that when they originally appeared in the MCU you are surprised how narratively and how long they have managed to stay integral parts of the MCU and or fan favourites? 28:42 Woo S! KimI am not stating this character is needed in the X-Men/Avengers going forward Sean,  but what do you think the chances because the heroes will be messing with time in “Avengers: End Game” of Aaron Taylor Johnson's QuickSilver to return after the events of “Avengers: End Game?”  Should he brought back or would you rather keep that character dead?29:56 Woo S! KimSean, let's say for argument sake that “Spider-Man: Far From Home” moved to February 2020 “Avengers: End Game” moved to Christmas 2019 and Star Wars: Episode IX took the late April 2019 spot would Box Office numbers change at all, if this were done why or why not?31:05 Mookie JohnsonDo you think Captain Marvel 2 has room for Ms Marvel and Photon to join in?32:48 Mookie JohnsonI love how Captain Marvel's movie was also is some way a Nick Fury/Modern  Day Shield/Avengers initiative story also. Could you share some of your thoughts on that idea?35:53 AlexDo you think the Fox deal that will grant Marvel access to so many more  characters could lessen Marvel's willingness to cooperate with Sony past Far From Home especially if Sony starts mandating that they start integrating SMCU characters like Venom and Morbius? 37:25 David RosenHey Sean, I know you were really looking forward to seeing how they treated the Kree Supreme Intelligence. Even though we didn't get the giant floating head, are you satisfied with what we did get?39:50 Tom DeMicheleSince all of SHIELD's information was leaked in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, does the world know about Captain Marvel? Fury may not have divulged what happened in the film's final act, but there were plenty of other witnesses early on.By the way, this is an exciting time for the Discord, and I encourage all Patrons to join the fun conversation over there with us!43:01 Robert KlauserNot a serious question or anything like that. But, can't we let Thor and the Asgardians off of the hook for the Phase 2 weapons? It seems Fury knew we were “hopelessly and hilariously outgunned” since 1995.44:35 Xavier ArquerosI liked the movie, not as much as I hoped (which was a lot), but it's good. I have a lot of questions, but the only one that concerns me is when will the sequel take place, because it's seems that Yon-Rogg and Ronan have an agenda against Carol but I'm not the biggest fan on an other MCU movie set in the past, I hope Captain Marvel 2 is set post-Endgame. What do you think Sean? I would watch it nevertheless, but you know, Let's move forward. Cheers!48:40 AlexSean, I know that you had Bill Hader as one of your top castings for Reed Richards but I unfortunately I just don't see it. He looks the part sure, but nothing I've seen of Bill Hader so far has left me with the impression he'd make a good Reed. He just strikes me as too comedic an actor to play a serious role like Reed Richards who isn't normally intentionally funny so may I ask what movies or shows that you've seen Mr. Hader in that makes you think he'd be a fit for the role?49:42 Hector Giovanni NavarreteHey Sean! I enjoyed CM! Thought it was great!I have a couple of questions about Goose the cat. I know they probably aren't big deals in the grand scheme of things in the MCU but they are questions I came up with nonetheless lol.So we first see Goose at the Pegasus facility and it seems like she/he knows Carol cause it walks up to her first as if recognizing Carol. So do you think it used to be Carol's pet and if so how did Carol come to have an alien as a pet? Or do you believe it was Mar-Vell's pet since she was Kree so most likely Mar-Vell would've potentially brought an alien pet from space ?So at the end of CM, Fury seems to keep Goose, so where has Goose been all this time in the present day MCU? Still with Fury?52:06 Alex WardHey Sean! First of all, thank you for doing these q and A's. They've answered so many lingering questions about the MCU for me and deepened my interest in Marvel to an insane degree. That being said, you might remember my question a while ago about what the Avengers are "avenging." You had an awesome answer, but thanks to that little discussion, the final scene in Captain Marvel impacted me on a much deeper level; it gave me goosebumps just as I'm sure it did a lot of fans. My question is, if Fury came up with the Avengers Initiative in 1995, did it really take him over ten years to find his first Avenger? Do you think there were any hiccups before Iron Man, perhaps that we'll see filled in in the Black Widow movie or something? Thanks Sean!55:09 Alex WardHow did you feel about the way the Skrulls were handled? I know the Skrulls and the Kree can be good and bad in the comics, but I love this new dynamic.55:46 Alex WardOne non Captain Marvel question--how would you age the new generation of the MCU? For example, should the FF skew younger like the Ultimate comics so they can stick around longer, or should they be older? Also, how old is too old for Reed? He's gotta hang on to those greying temples; it'd be blasphemy if he'd ever go full silver fox like how Mark Ruffalo seems to be heading.58:07 Alex WardI know folks have been throwing around the idea of the FF being a period piece, but what do you think about the idea of the FF being from the modern era, but accidentally getting stuck in the 60s and getting famous there (maybe by introducing "advanced" modern technology), before traveling back to modern day?59:40 Michael Louis WeaselboyHey Sean how was your week?? Anyways I saw Captain Marvel of course, opening night I loved it. You were right that really is the best crowd to watch an MCU film, I saw it in the big IMAX theater in Tempe, Arizona and that crowd was so ecstatic, I can't wait to watch Endgame there next month, the crowd went crazy during the Marvel Studios logo at the beginning and a loud clap when it said "Thank you Stan". Anyways my question is when do you think a sequel will be set?? Could it be with the 23 years she was off earth? or should it be set after in the post endgame MCU?? Who do you think could be the villain? Thoughts??1:02:46 Mookie JohnsonDo you have a Captain Marvel costume preference between the red/blue towards the end of the movie and the post-credit outfit? Today, we're just thrilled to bring you our conversation with Clark Gregg: the one and only Agent Phil Coulson. On this episode, we talk about whether Agent Coulson's changing role as "everyman," making an ensemble cast work, what he'd like to see in the Inhumans film, and when he'll get back to directing. We crack open the conspiracy that his FBI Agent Casper from The West Wing was actually a deep undercover Agent Coulson and try to figure out what SHIELD's interest in the Bartlet White House was. And we talk about the ramifications of the current real-life drama playing out in the U.S. presidential election and what Clark would say to every American voter if given the chance.
