Today we are honored to have with us Travis Fleetwood. Ghost Drops was co-founded by Travis Fleetwood, John Dean Durante & a private 3rd party in 2017. Travis Fleetwood had also founded one of the world's top battle rap leagues, King Of The Dot in 2008 and used his social presence to help build the Ghost Drops following. Ghost Drops quickly built their consumer base to 80,000 (about the seating capacity of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum) in Canada's legacy market over 4 years. Ghost Drops was one of the first companies in the legacy market to give credit to the cultivators and introduced unique stylized strain stickers that are now the legacy market standard.

Baron and Los chop it up with reigning Champ of the "King Of The Dot". His son Trevor Weller even blessed us a quick cameo. Born and raised in the Steel City of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Trevor Weller epitomizes what the town is about. Hard working with an understanding that you get in what you put in. Real Deal is most notably known for a battle career that has spanned well over 10 years. In August of 2019 he defeated Chilla Jones to become the King of the Dot Champion. He successfully defended it again in November to retain the title. In November of 2020 he released his 6th full length album "Charlie". #JUSTICEFORCHARLIE Real Deals father was given an infection at the hands of Mercy hospital from a procedure he didn't need. He passed after an agonizing month long battle in the ICU. His hospital bills totaled over 600,000. Real Deal has been turned down by 18 lawyers in his quest for justice and the clock is ticking. Real Deals father Charlie passed on September 1, 2019 and the statute of limitations in PA is 2 years. The saddest part is this happens every day in this country. If you can, please watch the video below and share it with the hashtag #JusticeforCharlie and let's fight this epidemic together. The Building Downtown host Jason Kelly (@JayKellyMMA) welcomed Amy Barton (@amesbelle) to the show with intentions of talking about rap battles to watch while isolating, but the longtime homies couldn't help but touch all on an array of things. Mostly battle rap, though. Barton and Kelly met nearly a decade ago when they were covering combat sports for MMA DieHards. They worked well together, became good friends, and as you can tell from the arguments on this episode, are tighter than ever. Barton lives in NYC, while Kelly lives near Toronto. The pair discussed the impact on COVID-19 in their countries, communities, and globally, as well as how it has affected either of them. As the pair of former co-workers attempted to discuss who might be next for King Of The Dot champion Real Deal, they agreed Charron or Illmaculate are most likely the front-runners, which turned into a conversation that resembled a Charron vs. Illmac preview for a No. 1 contender match. Along with discussing KOTD title matches, Barton and Kelly talked about 2 vs. 2 battles, what makes a battler able to perform in different organizations, as well as some of the battles and battlers they suggest checking out during the this period of isolation. Although, Kelly and Barton agree with the cancellation of KOTD Blackout LA, they still have broken hearts. KOTD Blackout is the most original, unique, fun event in battle rap. Kelly and Barton explained the significance of the themed event, as well as what makes them exciting. **As heard on the episode, contact Amy at @amesbelle on Twitter (or thebuildingdowntown@gmail.com) if you or your company are looking for a professional and experienced social media adviser or manager.** Follow the show and subscribe below: Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheBuildingDT Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheBuildingDowntown YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwhXS45uBjZBZ-r50W26GHA Google Play: https://play.google.com/music/listen?u=0#/ps/Ip632i7swordba7ahido66yjup4 ITunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/the-building-downtown/id1492372525 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/2LJbKJd9CMRwgSMaTX96W1 Stitcher: Updating

Today we have the one and only @dumbfoundead in the spot! Dumb is among Koreatown’s finest, a “city councilman” as he puts it. Gaining notoriety in the battle rap scene in his earlier years, he made a name for himself as one of the most respected Asian-American rappers of his generation. As a Korean-American growing up in K-Town in the 90’s, Dumb found himself immersed in a mixture of different cultures that ultimately made him a product of an eclectic palette of experiences. From pop culture, to skate culture, to hip hop culture, he was influenced by it all. Listen as he talks about how his love for music and acting has ultimately taken him to places that continue to break ground not only for himself, but for the culture that he is so heavily involved with. Dumb breaks down the formula to how he views success. He is laser focused on the necessity to be at the top of his game, all the while being able to evolve with the times. He also gets into what he thinks his actual real gifted ability is. Dumb keeps it absolutely one-hundo at all times, and as you will see from this conversation, that is the secret sauce to his brand and his success. Steve Eanet is many things: a marketing pro, a Goldendoodle dad, a battle rapper by the name of XQZ with multiple international battles and No Coast Raps titles to his name. He is also the host's brother, and I'd say we were the ShibSibs of podcasting, but that's probably the McElroys. Steve joins us in the studio to talk about his long history with battle rap, what he's learned from being part of the community, and also one of our favorite TV shows. Topics include: The battle preparation process, online communities, discussing politics with battle rappers, the whole 8 Mile thing, deliberately bad puns and the townspeople of Pawnee. The 5 Oclock Shadow Battle Podcast has Arrived. The realest Battle Rap Podcast is here! Enjoy.
Today's episode of The Todd Shapiro Show features Comedy King, Dom Irrera. The founders of the world's biggest battle rap league, King Of The Dot! Brad Lamb drops by to talk about real estate and Montreal, and we are also visited by Maddie Pocks.
Corey Charron (@CharronKOTD), a longtime competitor in battle rap and fan of MMA, is going to Hollywood. Charron joined Joe Rizzo (@RearNakedChoke) and Jay Kelly (@JayKellyMMA) to give the exclusive story on his acting role in an upcoming movie, battle rap, his association with Floyd Mayweatherâ??s The Money Team and, of course, MMA. Charron, along with other King of the Dot (KOTD) battle rappers, are scheduled to begin shooting a feature film in June. The film boasts some of the industry's biggest names, and the script was written by a veteran battler that is still relevant. Charron filled in RNC Radio (@RNCRadio) on as many details as possible. The self-proclaimed SMACK Killer was a frequent guest on RNC Radio, but hadn't chatted MMA on the show since January 2015. With the landscape of MMA drastically changing in past 14 months, there was plenty to discuss. Charron also talked about the rise and (possible) fall of Conor McGregor, Holly Holm's head-kick knockout victory against Ronda Rousey and loss to Miesha Tate, the rumored return of Georges St-Pierre, Anderson Silvaâ??s career legacy, and everything else that moved the needle in the last year. Charron also spoke about his most recent rap battles, and others he's a fan of, the infamous CTV Canada AM incident, his business, the Mayweather and The Money Team, what's next for him and more. And for Charron's sake, shout out to CTV! Listen to Rear Naked Choke Radio (@RNCRadio) by subscribing via iTunes, Stitcher or by checking us out via our content partners at CombatPress.com. Don't forget to like our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/RNCRadio, and find us YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1xs5I0-enSyN5ddDbqORwA.

A-Class is one of the most consistent battle rappers in the game, and he's earned respect in Grind Time, King Of The Dot and countless other battle leagues. We first met at a house show in 2003, and I've followed his career ever since. I had a great time getting the inside scoop on how the battle rap world works. He told me about going from high school battles to Scribble Jam to the modern battle era. He talked about being excited by seeing how the battle world has evolved, and being inspired by the challenge of having to perpetually write more bars for upcoming opponents. We also talk about the strangeness of grown men tearing each other down with racial jokes. This week, Mike Riley came with a tight homage to Eazy E's Eazy-Duz-It. It all went down at The Lineup Room.
