Is it safe to say White Men Cant Jump?? Which then posed the questions can Black Men be Quarterbacks??? For years the NFL seemed to shy away from Black QB's cause they were unconventional and now that same unconventional seems to be taking the league by storm. So can Black Men be great QB's.  Another topic we touched on is what has made the generation of kids get softer, is it over protective parents, is it social media, is it the fear of being "Worldstarred" we debate this topic as well. This was a very in depth talk amongst us and I think the entertainment level is very high for podcast listeners so be sure to tune in and follow the wave we on.

Artist: J Monday Track: Apple TreeProject: Homage Mixtape Hosted By The Real Dj Spins J. Monday – Artist Bio Derived from a variety of influences, J. Monday has emerged into the music world with a unique style. His velvety vocals weave a tapestry of smooth sounds. Pulling from old-school hip-hop and soulful R&B, his melodic lyrics reveal diverse content. J. Monday writes about success, heartbreak, and friendship. He may offer a look through the eyes of the impoverished or share a love story. Occasionally releasing upbeat singles with dance vibes, he is also known to dive deep into reflection. J. Monday experiments with subject and genre, creating a catalog of songs for every mood. An artist obsessed with quality, J. Monday takes special care to release work that is sonically pleasing. He pays close attention to what falls into each pocket of a track. He is honing his craft, evolving into a specific style. Although his songs can be filled with hip-hop and pop energy, he avoids being too trendy. Instead, J. Monday is grounded in refreshing originality. Inspired by a wide range of artists, his influences include everything from Erykah Badu and John Legend, to country artists like Rascal Flatts. With deep love and appreciation for music, J. Monday has maintained his interest level by studying the masters. Although he wrote his first song in 2006, J. Monday held back from music until the time was right. Well-structured in everyday life, he focused on practical endeavors, like formal education. Born in Miami, Florida, following Hurricane Andrew, J. Monday and his family moved to Gainesville where he was raised. He relocated to North Carolina to attend Methodist University after high school. A doctor of physical therapy, J. Monday is currently based in the Raleigh area. Unable to continue denying his destiny, he began taking vocal lessons, learning how to turn his dream into a reality. Voice classes led to more practice, and J. Monday dove further into his craft, unleashing a wild creativity. As he began recording and releasing his original work, J. Monday started taking it more seriously. He was able to sing in the proper key and pitch, hitting notes with intention. After a life-long obsession with music, he was primed for success. Picking the brains of engineers in the studio, he learned through trial and error. Although it was nerve-racking at first, J. Monday started to feel at home behind the mic. Self-taught, his work is unique by nature. His lyrics and metaphors are palpable for everyone. Detailed in creating a coherent sound, J. Monday uses his voice like a skilled musician. He cares about the overall instrumentation, and J. Monday is confident in his ability. An up-and-coming artist, J. Monday's career is taking off. His first official single, “Cross Your Mind,” from his debut 2021 album, “Path Less Travelled,” reached over 20,000 streams in a matter of months, an impressive feat for an independent artist. The track exploded. It was featured on Eminem's radio station, Shade 45, and led to an interview with Hip-Hop Atlanta. In addition to these media placements, J. Monday was also featured in 50 New Artists to Watch Magazine and Hip-Hop Weekly. He is now working with the leading artist development team, Wealth Nation, to help guide, promote, and build his brand. He is quickly expanding his reach and maximizing his current exposure. With new singles lined up for this year and the return of live events, J. Monday has plenty in store for fans to look forward to. Deeply connected to the music, J. Monday allows the words to reveal themselves in the sound. He channels powerful artistic energy, becoming a vessel for lyrics to flow through. The moment takes over and inspiration sinks in. There is so much diversity coming out of one individual, it's apparent that J. Monday is emulating all of his role models into one. With an abundance of synthetic sound permeating and saturating the airwaves, the market is flooded with artificiality. Organic and truly authentic, J. Monday dispenses a jewel of knowledge on life, creating a therapeutic escape for listeners and giving his audience peace. Music: J. Monday Latest Project available on Audiomack. In this episode of our Six Weeks to Fitness podcast, I am joined by Charity Lynette, Celebrity Fitness Instructor and creator of Curvy Chick Fitness.  During the interview, Charity will discuss what life was like growing up in a small northwestern town to military parents.  Most of Charity Lynette's life she was overweight and although playing High School and college Basketball, she still struggled with her weight. The turning point in her life was the surprising loss of her mom due to unhealthy living. Fueling her choice to start a healthier lifestyle and with her mother in mind, she dedicated her life to helping others do the same, losing over 100 pounds in the process. Since then she has continued to work within Hospitals and Health fairs throughout the country, teaching women that although they all have curves, healthy curves is what matters most.  As a Plus Size Model and Fitness Instructor Charity went through her challenges explaining to those who didn't understand how a Plus Size women could teach fitness, the answer was simply “We all have different body types but as long as we are eating right and exercising, the body will take its course."  Charity is showing the world that just because you’re thin, doesn’t mean you’re fit and just because you have curves doesn’t mean you’re unhealthy.  Charity is a rising star in the fitness industry and she is looking to expand her brand throughout the country. Charity has been featured in numerous media outlets such as Bustle.com, Hip Hop Weekly, NY Daily News, Abigail Magazine, blackbride.com, Society of Curves, cocoafab.com, Entertainment Scoop, Boston Fitness Magazine, Skinny Minority Blog, Your Tango, Stylish Curves and more.

Welcome to another episode of PoPolitickin. In this edition, we politick with New Orleans rapper DeeDay. Artist Bio Rapper, writer and producer DeeDay (aka Danny Rogers) was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 1, 1989. DeeDay grew up on the West Side of New Orleans with his older sister and parents. He saw poverty, drug deals and crime in his neighborhood but DeeDay was determined to choose a different path. As he entered his teen years, DeeDay used writing and rapping as an escape. He says, “Music takes me to another place.” He began engaging in rap battles and realized that he could hold the attention of large groups with his words. As he began to see the power of his words and rapping as a career, DeeDay released in New Orleans many street tapes before releasing four mix-tapes to the music community outside of New Orleans. The last two mix tapes were cosigned by DJ Don Cannon, a prominent Grammy Award nominated hip-hop record producer and DJ. DeeDay has performed and appeared in more than 100 cities including Houston, New York and Miami. DeeDay’s passion is evident as he performs with a raw, relentless drive living every word. A pivotal moment in his life occurred in 2015, when his road manager was shot and killed. DeeDay immediately penned some lyrics and says it reminded him that, “Your life can change in an instant and you must live every moment to the fullest.” See his video tribute on YouTube Long Live Stunna. DeeDay has been featured in Complex Magazine, Thisis50.com, Hip Hop Weekly, Hot 97s That’sNuff and Power 106 in Los Angeles with Mando Fresko.
