The gunman who was a woman was killed on the scene as well. We take the time to discuss our personal opinions and thoughts on how something like this can be prevented from happening again. Also the stats surround Mass and School shootings is very surprising to see and read. We also dive into the comparison of PSTD from living in the streets and PSTD from being in the military and having military friends and being from the streets ourselves the conversation gets interesting with life stories from both worlds.

We speak on the WNBA and should women get paid more to prevent situations like Britney Griner from happening. We give Shout Outs  to the women who accomplished things for the first time in history such as voting, winning awards and more. Then we give our opinions on double standards, the women who impacted us the most in our lives and more. Overall we are doing our part in giving some the respect that they deserve for all they do. 

On this episode of No Gimmicks we pay homage to the Late Great Biggies Smalls, on this day (march 9th) in which he loss his life tragically in LA to a fatal shooting. We discuss Biggies Top 10 songs according to Billboard. We discuss the people who got him started in his music careers plus many more unknown facts about this legendary talent who was taken away from us way to soon. 2

On this episode we discuss a few topics with main topic being the story behind the death of Tyre Nichols at the hands of Memhis Police officers. Initially 5 Black police officers were arrested and charged and since then more officers and members of the fire department were disciplined as well. Were all officers aware of what was taken place, was Tyre targeted as a black man by black officers, did everyone play an equal role in this incident, was Tyre attacked due to allegations surrounding one of the officers significant other??? Lot of questions and leads to a heated debate about Racism in our country. We also discuss the disappearance of 3 Detroit rappers who were booked for a show on 7 mile and never made. This incident occurred on Jan 21st of 2023 and the parents are now looking for national attention to this situation to help finding the 3 missing men. Are artist getting targeted??? Is this coincidence or a set up????

On this episode of No Gimmicks we stared of by paying our respects to Kobe Bryant, his daughter and all the victims who loss they lives in a helicopter crash exactly 3 years ago. The we dive into a little sports debating if Bronny James making the McDonald's All American game was earned through talent, earned through politics or was a mixture of both. We touch on New rules pertaining both NBA All Star Game and NFL Pro Bowl. Then we dive into the main topic which is the term "Woke" What does it mean to be woke, is it a cultural thing to be woke, can other races be "Woke"  alot of questions and a topic that I think needs to be discussed more to gain better understanding and perspective of the term. 

On this episode of No Gimmicks we discuss the recent incident that occurred in the latest NFL game that took place Monday on Monday Night Football. The Buffalo Bills vs Cincinnati Bengals. In what seemed to be a routine play on the field resulted in Damar Hamlin being escorted off of the field in an ambulance with heart and breathing conditions. As I write this summary we now know that he is breathing and doing a lot better through prayer, love and the amazing medical workers both on the field and at the hospital. We also discuss how does the NFL react and move after such a tragic event taking place on the field on 1 of the worlds biggest stages.  Of course we end up on a positive note with a big Happy New Year and the start of 2023.

On this episode of No Gimmicks we discuss the recent Mass Shooting in Buffalo NY.  A 18 year old white man who lived 3 hours away from Buffalo was racially driven in his attacks. In total he shot 13 people killing 10 in total. With Racist remarks written on his assault rifle he live streamed this attack where he targeted nothing but black people. When does these kind of things stop?? When will the black community and people be protected?? Will it ever happen?? We discuss things such as the manner in which this suspect was arrested compared to black men and boys who have been gunned down for less. How much of the responsibility falls on his upbringing and family??? Does social media and the internet play a part in this??? Black Boys Read Too was launched March of 2022 and the mission is to encourage more black kids to read. By doing so they buy bookshelves and fill them with Brand New books and then find barber shops that allows them to place the shelves in their shops.
