Do you want to change the world? Do you want to make a difference for God's kingdom? Jesus made it clear: the most powerful way to impact the world is by loving others, even when it's inconvenient, uncomfortable, and messy. (John 13:35) In a culture that's self-seeking, the way to stand out is by doing the opposite: to pick up a towel, lean low, and wash feet. But let's be real—this kind of love is impossible without first understanding and receiving God's never-ending love for us. We can't pour out what we haven't first received. When we understand God's love for us, the power of His love can be unleashed through us, transforming our world. If you're longing to experience that kind of love—one that changes you from the inside out—then today's episode is for you. We're diving into how to love people when it's hard and why this kind of love is truly unstoppable. P.S. I've put together some incredible resources to help you grow in love this February. The world constantly tells us how we should look, what we should weigh, and whether we're enough. But what does God actually teach us about our bodies? In this episode, I sit down with Lexi Walbeck for an honest and powerful conversation about body image, confidence, and divine identity. Together, we explore the doctrine of being created in the image of our Heavenly Parents, the sacred truth that our bodies are temples, and the reality that mortality comes with physical pain and struggles. As we shared our personal experiences, the Spirit taught us so much about how to shift our perspective and keep working toward seeing ourselves the way God does. I can't wait for you to hear this conversation!
This week Reid and Dan host Award winning artist and outdoorsman, Lee Brice, out in God's Country. The episode kicks off with an epic listener roast and Lee sharing his own song "What You Mad At?" diddy that teases an unreleased track from his upcoming record. Lee shares what it looked like growing up in South Carolina running dogs to deer hunt and singing specials with his family at church. He talks through raising kids outdoors and what his son does during turkey season that makes him the proudest. The guys roll through what makes them each "Hard to Love" and the episode ends with a Gravorite that left Reid and Dan speechless, which is near impossible to do. Message: Loving Hard-to-Love People Series: Love Like Jesus Original Date: December 1, 2024 Click HERE for Message Outline Click HERE for Discussion Guide Join us for a new series that's all about building healthy relationships and learning to love as Jesus did. We will discover how to value our relationships, communicate from the heart, and love — even when it's difficult.
Difficult people... we all encounter them whether for a season or a one off interaction. We have to ask ourselves and evaluate can we really love these people unconditionally? In this episode we unpack how to love the hard to love people, unconditionally and in unmerited circumstances. We pray this episode helps you approach challenging people and circumstances with new grace, revised expectations, and joy.
Pete Gilmore says sometimes it's hard to love. How do we love in a way that lives up to Jesus' command to love even those we don't like?
We've got something a little special for you guys this time, since Ivy is still living that couch surfing life for now and won't have a recording space for another couple of weeks. Autumn's boyfriend Jake has filled in as a guest host for this episode about neurodivergence in committed relationships. Do you ever feel like you're hard to love? Well, if you're any flavor of neurospicy you probably know exactly what it's like to feel as though you're either too much or not enough, or maybe even both simultaneously. While some aspects of neurodivergence can feel like superpowers, it's also true that living as a neurodivergent person in a neurotypical world requires active management and can leave us feeling more than a little disconnected from other people. Join Autumn and Jake as they discuss the lessons they've learned over their decade-long relationship about how to cope with the fear of being hard to love and how to navigate the challenges and benefits of being neurodivergent in love.If you're enjoying the podcast we'd love it if you could help us spread the word by telling your friends, subscribing to the podcast, and leaving a rating or review. UNDERLYING ISSUES: Body image and how we feel about ourselves has less to do with what we see in the mirror and is really just the psychological space where body, mind and culture come together. Body image has multiple layers. Body image is so subjective. Body image can shift depending on how we are feeling, or maybe something happened during the day…what we focus on expands.ACCEPTING ONESELF ON A WIDER SCALE:-notice discomfort and sensation in the body-allow yourself to cope with it-I can do something about this-I can feel two things at once -Where did that thought come from?-What emotion is coming up?-What can I do without manipulation of my body?*That discomfort will not go away despite manipulating the body (ie force myself to throw up, buying a product that is advertised to do this or that, cutting etc)Attend to the emotionPractice curiosity.-Where is this coming from?Talk to someone. There is a sense of relief when we are able to “pour out”.Practice body neutralityIdentifying what our strengths are and what things we easily love about ourselves and what things are harder to love.Notice how you talk to yourself.HOW WE TALK TO OURSELVES IS IMPORTANT: Cognitive distortions-these thoughts are formed to try and protect ourselves, but hinder our progress instead. Here's a list of distortions...1. Polarized Thinking2. Mental Filtering3. Overgeneralization4. Jumping to Conclusions5. Catastrophizing 6. Personalization 7. Blaming8. Labeling 9. Always Being Right 10. Should Statements 11. Emotional Reasoning12. Control Fallacies 13. Fallacy of Change 14. Fallacy of Fairness 15. And addiction happens to really good people. I truly, truly believe that. I always said my ex-husband is one of the most talented human beings I've ever met. He had it all. He was brilliant, kind, funny, charming and good looking. I mean, the guy had it all. And I hear a lot. I meet a lot of people struggling with addiction, and they are some of the most talented human beings in the whole wide world. But I also believe that addiction can bring out the worst in the ones we love. And I'm going to give you an example. When I talk with my ex-husband, I always try to be polite and respectful during our conversation. IHP content is for people who choose the human love narrative, not the human suffering narrative. Don't tune in if you don't love life and humanity because this won't be for you. Don't tune in if you still believe in evil or the devil. Topic not ideal for ego-sensitive or emotionally sensitive (on any/all life - including socio-pol-eco - topics) people. Please do not tune in. Thank you! All IHP content resonates with people who want to achieve enlightenment the human way. IHP podcast host Maria Florio shares voices, stories and perspectives from her 5D mystic enlightenment functional adult life to give examples of what it's like to know emotional self-regulation skills, experience secure attachment, have functional adult conversations and experience 5D relationships (5D and beyond vibing people). You hear about how easy it is to be yourself, to pursue inner growth, to unconditionally love, to have compassion, and live your best life with outer and inner-well being in the forefront. Also explored, how to communicate and handle emotionally insecure adaptive children grown ups, the 3D or 4D vibing individuals, those who stay within insecure emotional human suffering vibration experience and mindset, or who hold drama as the go-to in relationships, or use projection due to unresolved and unaddressed trauma, attachment wounds, and inner child wounds that come up in their behavior. Since trauma is relational and intimacy necessary to heal it, through Maria's stories and perspectives people get an idea of securely attached options on how to handle projection to the best of your ability and create a safe environment for another person to heal or for you to set a healthy boundary if the person bringing the projection (3D/4D drama vibe) is not seeking to move beyond their safety behavior/unresolved trauma emotional response. Family, we all have them, and we often struggle with them. For some, family are the closest people in their lives; for others, we feel distant and disconnected. For two weeks, we want to explore how God works through our families and how we are called to invest in our families no matter what stage of life we are in. Join us this week as Michael and Chelsea Bayne explore Deuteronomy 6:1-6 ESV and how we love the families God has given us as messy as they can be! Speakers: Michael and Chelsea Bayne Text: Deuteronomy 6:1-6 ESV
My name is Sonny and I've had a few people say that I live up to my name, which is an honor, but I come from a family of prayer warriors. My mom, my aunts, my cousins would lift me in prayer in my knucklehead days asking God to protect me as I was living a very wayward lifestyle. Then God sent me a woman who was truly filled with grace, a woman who I believe was sent the calm the savage beast inside of me, my best friend and wife of 25 years. I share all of this to say, if you have a loved one who has veered away from God, keep praying for them, don't give up. It doesn't matter how far they, or you, have run. Once God's grace gets into your heart, a transformation of the best kind happens, and to that you can only say, “To God be the glory!”

The Memphis rapper has been at work on his new album Hard To Love which is due later this year. “I'm more vulnerable on this project than I ever been because of what I went through in the last two years,” Moneybagg Yo recently told Uproxx. “I experienced a lot and endured a lot. I went through a lot. So, this album is really personal, but I know the world is going to relate to it because of the stuff I'm saying, the subject matter, I know people going through what I went through across the globe.” source: Moneybagg Yo Shares New Single & Video 'Motion God': Watch | HipHop-N-MoreSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/analytic-dreamz-notorious-mass-effect/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
In this episode, Shelby and Krystal talk about what it looks like to navigate relationships that we have with hard to love people. Rather than avoid every person that irritates or bothers us, how can we lean into the gospel and allow God's love to be reflected in the way we love and serve others? As we chat through this topic, we will encourage you to remember how Christ loved us when we were "hard to love." We will look at Scripture to see how we can practically love hard to love people even when it feels impossible. And we will remember that we are dependent on the Spirit to help us love others with the love of Christ.
