Spiraling, negative thoughts take up residence in our minds more than they should. King David himself struggled with anxiety and depression, as evident in the Psalms. However, in the Psalms, David does something that we should also be doing: he puts his thoughts against the character and Word of God. What would happen if WE did that? Do you think we could live a less anxious life? It is possible! Monologue: Autumn reminisces on her family's recent trip to the Texas State Fair. Message: Autumn shows how the Psalms are a perfect example of how believers can and should choose to trust the character of God OVER their own spiraling thoughts. Testimony: A friend of the Miles' family sought the Lord for guidance with something huge that he was wrestling with, and God was faithful in His response. On this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the hosts kick things off by sharing their experience at the Texas State Fair. Held annually in Dallas at the historic Fair Park, the State Fair of Texas has been a beloved tradition since 1886, with only a few interruptions during World War I, World War II, and in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The fair typically runs from the last Friday in September for 24 days. Kyle then shares a story about his recent outing to the movies with his youngest son, Luke, to see the gruesome Terrifier 3. Next, they dive into some intriguing news stories. An outdoorsman and mushroom forager spots a small, bipedal humanoid wandering through the woods—something far from a typical forest animal. Then, they explore a chilling encounter in the mountains near Gatlinburg, TN, where a couple comes face-to-face with a human-sized creature that shapeshifts into a smaller entity. Later, two women driving near Hillsboro, Ohio, witness a strange, pitch-black quadruped with eerie white eyes emerging from the tall grass. After the break, a hiker in Wisconsin believes they may have encountered a "Glimmer Man" while walking on a park trail. Finally, a grandfather recounts a childhood memory of encountering several "ape-men" while panning for gold with his family near Elliot Lake, Ontario. We're far from the shallow now as we enter fall movie season in earnest here at Breakfast All Day. First, we review the much-anticipated and highly polarizing "Joker: Folie à Deux." Todd Phillips' sequel to his Oscar-winning 2019 drama "Joker" finds Joaquin Phoenix returning to the Batman villain role with Lady Gaga at his side as Harley Quinn. And did we mention that it's a musical? This is a spoiler-free review, but we're hoping to do a live spoiler chat soon, so keep an eye out for details. In theaters. Then, we review "Saturday Night," Jason Reitman's star-studded, high-energy recreation of the first episode of "Saturday Night Live," which aired on Oct. 11, 1975. It's famous people pretending to be other famous people in an engaging cosplay. In limited release now, opening nationwide next Friday. And we're back with Movie News LIVE! Among the topics we discussed today were the "Babygirl" trailer, "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," "Magazine Dreams," and what Alonso ate at the Texas State Fair last weekend. In this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the guys kick things off by discussing the upcoming deer season and their plans to visit the Texas State Fair. Kyle shares his love for donuts and chocolate milk, admitting that he has to avoid donut shops to resist temptation consciously. Then, the show turns into the strange as an upstate New York resident recounts a sighting his partner had, followed by the witness's eerie encounter with an upright goat-human hybrid. Next, an Oklahoma teen has a chilling experience when he wakes up for a drink and spots a red-eyed humanoid outside his window, radiating malevolence. In another disturbing encounter, a young boy faces a strange humanoid figure crouched in the corner of his bedroom, its features unnervingly inhuman. After the break, Cam delves into bizarre encounters with what can only be described as "Road Trolls." These unsettling creatures, explored in detail by author Jerry D. Coleman in his books Strange Highways and More Strange Highways, are frequently reported by truckers traveling along dark highways in the Southern and Midwestern U.S. Witnesses often describe a prominent, hairy, troll-like figure dressed in tattered clothing, sometimes with a wooden peg leg. What begins as a sighting of a drifter quickly escalates into something far more disturbing as the true nature of these road-dwelling creatures becomes apparent. In this episode of “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered,” Sara breaks down the indictment of New York City Mayor Eric Adams, the first sitting NYC mayor to be indicted. Charged with misusing $10 million in public campaign funds and facing allegations of wire fraud and bribery, Adams claims he's being targeted for criticizing the Biden-Harris administration's handling of the immigrant crisis. Sara and her guest question whether there's a deeper story behind his indictment. Shifting focus, Sara highlights the immigrant crisis, noting the influx of immigrants overwhelming cities like New York. She explores how NGOs and Catholic charities may be directing immigrants to specific locations, raising questions about organized relocation efforts and hidden agendas. Next, Sara critiques Kamala Harris' interview with MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle, during which Harris struggled to provide coherent answers. Even in a friendly, prepared setting, Harris failed to articulate her plans, prompting Sara to compare her to AOC, who — though often wrong — at least manages to present her arguments. Later, Stuart Cooper, executive director of the Fluoride Action Network, joins Sara to discuss a federal ruling that forces the EPA to regulate fluoride in drinking water. Cooper reveals how fluoride exposure lowers IQ in children, questioning why the government still promotes it, particularly in impoverished communities. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton also discusses his fight against the Texas State Fair's firearm ban, arguing it violates state law on government property and challenging recent liberal court decisions. Sara wraps up the episode by celebrating Lizzo's dramatic weight loss after months of intense workouts, dismissing claims she used Ozempic. Sara commends Lizzo for promoting a healthier lifestyle, crediting the shift away from promoting unhealthy habits. Join me as I sit down with Brett Christoffel, the brains behind All Y'all's Foods, to explore his remarkable transformation from a traditional Texas diet to a fully vegan lifestyle. Brett's journey is not just personal; it's a narrative that echoes the growing awareness and shift in societal attitudes toward plant-based eating. Listen in as we discuss the books that reshaped his understanding of health and nutrition, leading to an impressive alleviation of a decade-long battle with depression. He shares insights from his time at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and his inspiring venture into authorship, aiming to educate others on alternative healing methods. This conversation also casts a light on the evolving Texas food scene, once synonymous with meat-heavy dishes, now becoming a burgeoning hub for plant-based protein production. Brett recounts his own experiences promoting vegan options at the Texas State Fair and the significant cultural pivot as mainstream fast-food chains begin to offer plant-based alternatives. Hear about the unique challenges and humorous anecdotes faced while advocating for a meatless lifestyle in the heart of cattle country. The stories shared illuminate not just a change in diet, but a change in perspective that is reshaping our relationship with food and the environment. In our discussion, we also tackle the controversial dynamics between government, big corporations, and the medical industry, particularly how these relationships impact public health. Brett shares the exciting yet challenging process of creating and marketing his own line of vegan products, from meatless bacon bits to protein-rich jerky. His dedication to quality ingredients and his commitment to providing healthier food choices underscores a broader movement towards conscious consumption. For anyone inspired by our chat or looking for more resources, the Consciously Clueless community on Patreon awaits with open arms, ready to support your journey toward a more mindful way of living. Join us next Wednesday for another engaging episode filled with actionable insights and heartfelt stories. Bio: Brett Christoffel is a Texan who realized on 2-10-16 that he loves all animals as he does dogs. This led him to start making plant-based jerky, launching All Y'alls Foods in May 2018. His mission is to redefine Texas protein traditions and delight and nourish customers while saving more animals. He achieves this by using less than 10% of the resources to craft crave-worthy high-quality proteins, currently jerkies and bacony bits. Compared to beef jerky, his products have more protein, calcium, iron, and magnesium and are full of fiber, phytonutrients, and cholesterol-free. Currently, his products are in 400 stores (140+ are H-E-B's), and a portion of every sale goes to support Rowdy Girl Sanctuary, the first Texas cattle ranch turned vegan sanctuary that cares for about 135 animals. Before this venture, he spent over two decades in corporate sales and completed the SKU accelerator in 2020.

Dan Wetzel, Ross Dellenger & SI's Pat Forde determine who needs a win more in the last Big 12 occurrence of the Red River Rivalry game.Texas and Oklahoma hold the title of the biggest matchup of the weekend. The historic Red River Rivalry gets its Big 12 sendoff with SEC commissioner Greg Sankey expected to be in attendance, possibly to get a look at his two newest programs. The guys debate which team has more at stake in this game: Texas has a legitimate chance at a national title, with no clear buzzsaw in the SEC to stop them, whereas Oklahoma is trying to carry some momentum into the SEC next year and a big win against #3 ranked Texas could give them just that. There are plenty of unexpected teams that are 5-0 through September so the guys decide to highlight them and note what they have done well so far. Mike Locksley seems to have his best team yet at Maryland as the Terrapins are undefeated going into October. The Miami Hurricanes have been cruising so far, but they have a tough stretch coming up, so Mario Cristobal needs to keep them sharp. Louisville has been reaping the benefits of their transfer portal additions this offseason as Jeff Brohm has the Cardinals rolling. Eli Drinkwitz has been able to utilize NIL incentives to field a strong team in Missouri, who could send LSU into a bad spiral quickly with a win this weekend. The Texas State Fair has returned with a new menu filled with some interesting foods, so the show plays another game of Would You Eat It? Items ranging from deep-fried sushi to cereal-coated pickles highlight this year's offerings.Ole Miss had to pay LSU $100,000 for fans storming the field after their game in Baton Rouge last weekend. The guys don't see that amount of money becoming a huge deterrent from stopping passionate and inebriated fans from celebrating on the field.Lastly, a major saga in fast food gets a resolution as a US District Court Judge provides a verdict on the possible false advertising lawsuit against McDonald's & Wendy's.1:00 - Who needs to win the Red River Rivalry the most: Texas or Oklahoma?22:13 - Unexpectedly undefeated teams: Maryland, Miami, Louisville & Missouri42:29 - Would you eat it: Texas State Fair edition51:34 - Ole Miss was fined $100,000 for storming the field vs. LSU55:18 - A verdict in the McDonalds & Wendy's lawsuitFollow Dan @DanWetzelFollow Pat @ByPatFordeFollow Ross @RossDellenger
