No, really. They haven't won in Dallas since 2015, and they haven't even earned a point there since that 2015 win. So, what do we make of this weekend's match in Frisco, Texas? Let's talk about it! Host Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira discuss the Galaxy's shortcomings in Dallas, the problems with a Miguel Berry offense that never seems to get going, and how the Galaxy might use Marco Reus. Plus, the guys talk about stadium renovations coming in the offseason and why you should be excited about what they're planning on doing. Will the field actually move? The 0-0 draw with the Sounders was overshadowed by whether or not Greg Vanney was wearing a shirt under his jacket -- TV angles would say he wasn't. But the point could be considered a good showing, considering the Galaxy were very shorthanded. On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter dive into the sometimes listless draw and why Josh was expecting more from the other two DPs. They'll talk about the controversial penalty call that only one guy thought was actually a penalty. Plus, they'll discuss the Galaxy's poor DP play and why Greg Vanney waited to make subs in the game. Do the Galaxy lack game-changers off the bench? And is time running out on Miguel Berry? Atlanta United FC draw at home vs a struggling NYCFC. Yes, Atlanta was missing starters due to the International call ups, but Pineda still can't adjust to get the necessary wins at home and his lack of ideas starts with Miguel Berry who continually gets minutes up front. Tyler Wolff get's his goal to minutes ratio up but missed a few sitters. Regardless, Wolff gets into the right positions and gives himself a chance, go Tyler go! The home game against the Red Bulls was down right horrific and should have fans worried for the mid-table position we could see in the fall.

Atlanta United lost another opportunity to pick up a full three points. Having played nearly half the game with a man advantage, Gonzalo Pineda was unable to produce a critical road win that was on a plate for the taking. Dave seems to have a moment of clarity, looking back at his notes this season. Mike is still in shock Miguel Berry got the start. MLS refs need to get a grip. Giving out Red Cards needs some common sense, and it was disappointing to see these teams playing a man down for no considerable reason.

We chatted with Columbus Crew's Miguel Berry at the start of the MLS season. He shared his perspective about growing from a college starter into an MLS backup striker and how to remain focused. “You're a human being before you're a soccer player” and that has proved to be beneficial as he navigates the next phase of his soccer journey. Listen in as he explains how Gyasi Zardes has influenced his growth at the Crew. About Miguel Berry Berry was chosen by Crew SC with the seventh overall pick in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft before signing with the Club on February 27. The forward was sent on loan to United Soccer League Championship side San Diego Loyal SC in August 2020 and scored three goals in seven appearances with that club. He returned to the Crew in 2021 and put in 8 goals total in 18 appearances. At the time of the episode being released, he has scored 1 goal in the 2022 MLS Season. Miguel recently visited Europe in the offseason and gets to Spain whenever possible, where he was born. He is fluent in English, Spanish and German, and speaks some Catalan.
We love our listeners so much that we decided to give you an extra bonus episode of content in honor of the 2022 Columbus Crew season! Host Ives Galarcep projects the U.S. men's national team squad for the upcoming October World Cup qualifiers, going position by position on the players who he sees making the cut, and those who he believes will miss out. Columbus Crew striker Miguel Berry joins the show to discuss his recent goal-scoring run, playing for Landon Donovan and Caleb Porter, the influence of his early years growing up in Spain, and what it's like scoring in the Hell is Real Derby (more than once). Episode 329 of The SBI Show also breaks down this weekend's MLS action, as Ives gives you his best bets for the weekend.

Miguel Berry joins the podcast this week and talks with Bobby about bursting onto the scene with the Columbus Crew this year. Miguel also shares what it was like to move to the U.S. from Spain at a young age, and how he finds strength from a close personal loss.
Orlando City finally had a good offensive night, scoring three times against the defending MLS Cup champion Columbus Crew. All of those were needed as an own goal by Antonio Carlos and a quick second goal by Miguel Berry turned a 2-0 deficit into a 2-2 game in the second half. But Junior Urso came to the rescue to provide the final margin. Orlando is now unbeaten in seven straight games and we're breaking down the match-up and giving you our picks for Man of the Match. Daryl Dike and Junior Urso were obviously strong contenders, having made the MLS Team of the Week. Add Mason Stajduhar to the list of Lions who have spent time out with injuries this season. Stajduhar's torn meniscus gave Adam Grinwis his first start since rejoining Orlando City and he made the most of his opportunity, beating the Crew for the second time in purple. The new backup is another familiar face in the form of Greg Ranjitsingh. The Pride, gave up a horrible early goal to the Houston Dash but managed to fight back for a 1-1 draw at home on Sunday. Orlando must do better than tread water in home matches but at least one point is better than none. Taylor Kornieck soared high to head home the game-tying goal to keep the Pride above the playoff line for the moment, but other teams are lurking close behind and they have games in hand. The USMNT is raising everyone's blood pressure so far with two straight draws in World Cup qualifying. We aren't ready to panic but the margin for error is shrinking. We discuss Gregg Berhalter's team and how it can get back on track in qualifying. This week's mailbag asked about the NWSL championship, the USMNT, other MLS teams' third strikers, and whether we were in Nashville for Sunday's qualifier. If there's anything — and we do mean anything — you want us to address on the next show, just ask by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC. We close the show with our key match-ups and score predictions for Orlando City at Atlanta United. That's all for this week. Stay safe and enjoy the show! Here's how No. 262 went down: 0:35 - Orlando City got a big night of offense to fend off the Crew and Daryl Dike was a big reason why (literally and figuratively). 22:39 - The Pride needed to take all three points but got only one. That's better than none, we guess, but the season is winding down and every match is magnified in importance. 45:20 - We answer our listener mail and give our predictions for the Lions at Atlanta.
