But with holes remaining in this lineup, can Greg Vanney and the rest of the front office find the ambition and foresight to land a game-changing signing? On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Larry Morgan (Kevin Baxter is on assignment following the USMNT) discuss the Galaxy's most recent moves and why some of the rumors might not be leading in the direction everyone thinks they're going to. The guys will start by talking about the addition of Mike Muñoz in a position that will oversee the LA Galaxy Academy and probably LA Galaxy II. What expectations does he have, and will the Galaxy maintain the momentum that the previous administration started? Then Josh and Larry will get the details right on the Marky Delgado trade to confirm his contract length and why the signing is just fine. Really! It's fine. We're all fine! The Galaxy also made their way back to the Rose Bowl last week, and the entire team was running hills around the hallowed ground before getting to have lunch on the field itself. Is this just more history farming by the Galaxy? Is this a PR stunt that gains views with minimal upside? Or is Vanney doing something meaningful with this team? Is this what team-building looks like? Finally, Josh will talk about Douglas Costa and Cristian Pavon rumors. And the feelings we have about certain signings aren't being talked about. So we're going to change that. Are the Galaxy gambling big on a Designated Player signing you might not be able to trust? We've got a great show lined up for a Monday night. And we hope you enjoy it!

So are you buying where he thinks the team is at? Hosts Josh Guesman and Sophie Nicholaou are here to talk about all the Galaxy news that dropped since Tuesday morning and why the club still isn't impressing the Cannon! Josh and Sophie will start with some housekeeping as they tell you about the Galaxy's newest goalkeeper and why he really doesn't fit the mold the club usually uses when getting a third-string 'keeper. Plus, was signing Victor Vazquez smart? Or was it a waste of an international slot? Then Josh will update you on the Marky Delgado trade and why Galaxy fans will hate him. But the numbers tell a story on Delgado that should have them saying "okay." Finally, Josh and Sophie will go through some highlights of the media call, tell you about Kelvin Leerdam and Raheem Edwards and get you ready for Goalchella (they didn't call it that). But does it all feel anticlimactic? Is the team generating any buzz in a crucial offseason? On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter discuss the team's current state and why this 2022 season has gotten off to a fizzle. Plus, are the Galaxy getting beat to the punch on players they wanted to add to the team? Has the appeal of the winningest franchise in MLS history slowly eroded? The guys discuss what they saw from the Galaxy's opening day at training and why there was a veteran and rookie who garnered the spotlight in the infamous beep test. Would you have guessed who came out on top? And what does that mean? The guys will also discuss the Galaxy's lack of movement this offseason on the player front and why there is some hope that Greg Vanney wants a big name that is a game-changer. But did the Galaxy need to reload their ideas when Acosta, Rusnak, and Sanchez all took paths around the Galaxy? Plus, is there any excuse for a lack of an organizational chart that is easily explained from this front office? Are Chris Klein and Dan Beckerman under ever-building pressure to fix the Galaxy? Will Vanney get the blame if it all goes sideways? And why is a Twitter account for the Galaxy's parent-company blocking Galaxy fans for a perfectly reasonable protest? We've got a full show with some lively debate that goes back to 2017 and beyond. What has happened to the mighty Galaxy? As always, thanks for the support, and enjoy the show!

But the story of the draft was their first-round draft pick. And on today's show, Farai Mutatu will stay up well past his bedtime to call into the podcast to talk to us. Host Josh Guesman welcomes Mutatu to the Galaxy fans on the west coast just as the former Michigan State player prepares to wing across the country and land in Los Angeles -- a place he's only been once before. Mutatu will tell you about his journey to getting drafted by the Galaxy and what he thinks he can bring to a Galaxy team who can always use a guy who doesn't know how to give up. After the phone call, Josh will talk about the Galaxy's other draft picks and why the club probably passed on their final draft pick. But what obstacles will get in the way of any of these former college players? International slots? Roster spots? We'll discuss it all. Then Josh will get you updated on Victor Vazquez, who looks to be returning to the Galaxy as he left Europe and videoed his fantastic lay-flat bad. How do we get into first class? The answer? More superchats! Finally, Josh will go over the rumor that is dying on the vine and tell you why Douglas Costa says he wants to stay in Brazil. Do the Galaxy believe that? Does Costa believe that? Why would it be different? And what is the club doing in Brazil? On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter want to update you on what could be another slow week for the club. But with a Saturday reporting date, are things about to heat up? Or is the calmness telling? Perhaps MLS is just in a position it's never been in before with a winter World Cup later this year? Josh and Kevin will start by explaining some of the dynamics behind a World Cup that is actually lining up in the league's favor. Does that mean some big moves could take place in the lead-up to the biggest sporting event in the world? And is MLS primed to capitalize? The guys will then debate the pros and cons of the MLS SuperDraft on Tuesday and talk about the Galaxy's history of draft picks. Are the Galaxy just really bad at this? Do they value the college development path at all? or is the SuperDraft a thing of the past? There are a lot of opinions, and we're sure you have your own. Next, the guys talk about the "gamble" the Galaxy made on Raheem Edwards and why a depth piece is garnering so much attention and a three-year contract. Does Vanney know something the rest of us don't on Edwards? And who much are the Galaxy willing to risk on Kelvin Leerdam and Raheem Edwards? Then the guys want to dive into two fascinating rumors. But only one of them has any smoke behind it, and both seem to be a gamble. Is Juventus' Douglas Costa leaving a second division team in Brazil to join the Galaxy? And are the Galaxy persuing one of the top attacking midfielders in Ligue 1 in Teji Savanier? Suffer through our horrible pronunciations and questionable logic, as we talk about Cristian Pavon being the "easy" choice and why Costa might be a motivational issue but relatively cheap. And would Savanier be a severe departure from who the Galaxy usually target? Could we call them ambitious? We've got a great show lined up for you, and we're glad you're joining us in the lead-up to the Galaxy's start of the preseason!

So let's dive into our second show of the year to talk about Kelvin Leerdam and what's next for the club. Hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira are interested in getting you ready for a preseason that now has some times and dates associated with it. And can we tell you when the Galaxy will make their way to Goal-Chella? Josh and Eric start with the preseason schedule with the Galaxy playing three games at Dignity Health Sports Park -- two in front of crowds -- and sandwiching a trip to the desert in between. And are the Empire Polo Grounds set up to handle a soccer tournament? Yes, absolutely! And maybe a little bit of a no. But they're not hosting 60,000 people waiting to see Kanye, so we're reasonably sure they can handle it. We'll explain it all, including the five teams that could be in Indio for this first-ever Goalchella. What about the Galaxy's release of the new first kit and a possible third kit? We'll talk about new jersey's and why the Galaxy need to keep it simple to complement last year's success of the Community Kit. The guys will then dive into the signing of Kelvin Leerdam, and Raheem Edwards is expected to be the other player the Galaxy announces. What do they both bring to a team that needs depth, creativity, and minutes? And why might Leerdam be the answer to what happens when the Galaxy sell Julian Araujo? Finally, the guys discuss accountability, a challenging year for a single-year TV contract, and so much more. Are you ready to hop on the internet to watch Galaxy games in 2022? We're kicking off 2022 with a show that is packed with little details and a little bit of breaking news. Are you ready to find out what this preseason will look like? Well, it starts in 12 days. Let that sink in! On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter discuss the Galaxy's preseason plans and get some of the details on preseason reporting and a new preseason tournament that will take place at the same place Coachella is held. Can you say, "GoalChella?" Yeah, we stole that. Josh and Kevin will start by telling you when the Galaxy will report for physicals and then which date is mandated by the league to begin their preseason. They'll also go into details about a preseason tournament that will kick-off for the first time in 2022 but will more than likely be a yearly tournament with anywhere from four to six teams playing in it. And we'll tell you how AEG is hosting it on land they operate, with revenues eventually going back to AEG and the Galaxy. And do you want some player signings? We'll tell you when to expect some announcements this week and why it could end up being more than just two names that get announced this week. There will also be confirmations on the news of Pipo Gonzalez departing the Galaxy and how the club saved a local sports complex in Torrance. But it would be best if you were warned; Sacha Kljestan joins us, and Josh tells a story about seeing Santa Clause. Also, there might be a Galaxy-themed 'Twas the Night before Christmas that debuted on this show about six years ago. But who's counting? Hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter update you on Galaxy news and talk about what 2021 looked like from the Galaxy perspective. Also, what are we expecting from Greg Vanney and company now that a lot of what Dennis te Kloese did has been wiped from the front office. The guys start with welcoming Sacha Kljestan to the show, where they discuss if he gets tired of being called "old" after every game by the press and why some "moron" once predicted that he'd be coming to the Galaxy in a move that almost got him to the Galaxy. That's right. We're taking you back to 2014, people. But Sacha will also talk about things that need to change in 2022 and how this team will fill the holes left by Sebastian Lletget and Jonathan dos Santos. After Sacha leaves, Josh and Kevin will update you on the Galaxy's pursuit of Cristian Pavon and why they may be stepping back from the very talented midfielder. The guys will also talk about the rumor that Carlos Harvey has acquired his Green Card and why that will be a massive benefit to the midfielder as he tries to establish himself as an MLS player. Sebastian Lletget has moved to New England, and Sacha Kljestan will stay in LA, but are you getting a warm and fuzzy feeling from the moves? Hosts Josh Guesman and Sophie Nicolaou are back to get you updated on some very big moves by a Galaxy side that seems to have a plan in mind as they offload players and gather some money in the process. They'll start with the re-signing of Sacha Kljestan, who seems to be a value-added type of player. So what did the Galaxy get with Kljestan? And can they afford to add another name like Victor Vasquez as well? But then Josh and Sophie want to get into the Galaxy's trade with New England for Lletget. Can the Galaxy afford to trust the Revolution and Bruce Arena in this deal? Why are the Galaxy dealing with Arena and Lletget? Did he want to go to New England? And did the Galaxy get the value you expected from the trade? Josh will break down the mechanics of how the Galaxy get paid and when they get paid and then tell you what the perception of the deal is in some circles across the league. Will the Galaxy ever get $1.3-million out of the Revolution? And when could they see that money if they did? Next, our hosts talk about the Dan Steres trade details and why it's probably more of a wash than we initially thought. Does that make you feel better about offloading the defender to the Houston Dynamo? Finally, there's some schedule talk before Sophie tells stories of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, and then name drops about ten more celebrities. They moved two players who probably weren't going to make a big splash in 2022 for the club and would have struggled to get playing time. But did they get all they could for them? Or was something else going on? On today's show, host Josh Guesman goes without Kevin Baxter (He's on a boat!) and discusses the Galaxy's trade of Dan Steres and Ethan Zubak. There are a lot of questions that come up when we see the results of these trades, but perhaps there's a good reason the return on these players was less than expected? Josh will start by going over his views of a rather unimpressive MLS Cup. Sure the highlights will show a great game, but the playoff format seems to be the enemy of good soccer. Why was this year another "year of the asterisks?" And why does MLS need to fix this problem with growing US popularity? Then Josh will discuss the upcoming expansion draft and why it's not a shopping list for teams looking to add or get rid of pieces. Sure the Galaxy are exempt from this year's festivities, but will Charlotte find some former Galaxy players unprotected? And the Galaxy will find out their full 2022 schedule on December 15th! But the bulk of today's show is to talk about the trade of Steres and Zubak and why the Galaxy may have done the best they could. Or maybe they tried to make a deal that kept the player in mind. Either way, the Galaxy are opening up space on the roster, and if they want more new faces, it's the only way to get it done. Plus, is Sebastian Lletget eyeing Miami instead of New England? With Saturday's MLS Cup inching toward completion, all hell is about to break loose on the trading market inside the league. And that means multiple players from the Galaxy could be gone in a matter of days. On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira update you on all the rumors surrounding the Galaxy, break some news, and tell you what to expect as the club wheels and deals in a very compact offseason. Josh and Eric will start with an update on Mike Munoz, LA Galaxy II, and a surprise departure (maybe it's not that surprising) of a coach we thought would stay around. Are significant changes coming to the Academy? Then the guys transition to Sebastian Lletget. They'll talk about the rumor that was dropped by Steve Goff earlier in the day and update you on teams interested in Lletget. Is the fact that Bruce Arena is making this deal surprise anyone? And what can you expect from a Lletget who will probably have a bounce-back year for the Revolution? Next on the rumor list is Cristian Pavon. How aggressive are the Galaxy going to get with Boca Juniors? And why will he be expensive even though he's out of contract in June? We'll explain the landscape and why multiple teams are after Pavon. And are the Galaxy making a mistake by pursuing someone with sexual assault charges still on the books? Finally, Dan Steres is on the trading block. That shouldn't surprise you. It was assumed as a good theory as soon as the season ended. But with Vanney deciding that Steres won't be playing for LA, the Galaxy have to find a place for the 31-year-old. Josh and Kevin will start clarifying the Chris Klein rumors and why the Los Angeles World Cup Committee could grab some attention from the Galaxy's President. The guys will then "transfer" over to the Ilie Sanchez rumors and tell you that, while they were fake, it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. So should you stay awake at night dreaming of a 31-year-old midfielder after Jonathan dos Santos -- a 31-year-old midfielder -- kept you awake at night in 2021? But we also want to let you know that the LA Galaxy may not be wrapping up yet. Are you confused? Don't worry. We're here to unconfuse you. And you're going to want to stick around for a little story about a little turkey (only one nine-pound turkey was harmed in the making of this podcast) Host Josh Guesman wants to update you on the Galaxy's offseason schedule and why some players have already flown the coop. Why is the club in voluntary workouts? And what is the technical staff doing behind the scenes? Josh wants to talk briefly about Jalen Neal, why the Galaxy should be at home for the first weekend of the league, and why playing against Charlotte FC might be one of the largest crowds in league history. Have you already booked your hotel? Are you thinking of flying into CLT? We promise there won't be any jokes... Your turkey-eating host will also discuss MLS odds for who could win the MLS Cup, Dennis te Kloese and an announcement on his future, and when the Galaxy might be letting everyone in on their Option Declines and Out-of-Contract players. Soon is the answer. But how soon? Will they ruin Josh's off-week? Finally, Josh will take you back to Maryland, where he'll talk about a tiny turkey that ended up feeding a whole room of people. It's a Thanksgiving miracle of sorts (not really). And Josh would also like to reaffirm his love for his mother-in-law and his wife. Really. He loves them both! So on this episode, hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter (joining from Jamaica) decide to update you on a whole bunch of things that concern the Galaxy and the city of Los Angeles. Josh and Kevin will start by discussing the Galaxy's international players and what they've been up to during the last break before the MLS playoffs kick-off and then wrap up. They'll talk about players like Niko Hamalainen and Rayan Raveloson and what their travel schedules could have meant during the playoffs. Plus, will Oniel Fisher face off against Sebastian Lletget on Tuesday night? Then Kevin will drop some hints on when the MLS home openers could drop while also discussing the FIFA tour of Los Angeles. Will LA get a World Cup Final again? Finally, the guys discuss Dennis te Kloese's future with the Galaxy and why an option year doesn't always mean the club has an option. That's right, we're talking about performance metrics, and those could affect the Galaxy's season. Will Dan Steres be staying with the Galaxy in 2022? And what could that mean for Sebastian Lletget too? Will Greg Vanney be wheeling and dealing as he looks to place some pieces on a team that missed the playoffs? Can some big roster decisions make it a fortress again? Do you feel like 2021 needs a redo? I almost do! COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy are being thrust into offseason mode much too quickly. With the MLSPA releasing their list of Free Agents for the 2022 season, decisions are going to be made very soon on the futures of several Galaxy players that have called LA home for a while. Hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira are back to get you prepped for an offseason that won't have a ton of flexibility, but the Galaxy are hoping for familiarity to avoid another sad, beautiful, tragic season at Dignity Health Sports Park. But we're considering ourselves the lucky one to be here explaining what the Galaxy need to take into consideration when it comes to veteran players who do more than their time on the field would suggest. Can the Galaxy afford to bring back guys like Sacha Kljestan and Victor Vazquez knowing that as their bodies age everything has changed? This is just the first of many roster discussions Josh and Eric will be having in the offseason and they're also sprinkling in some stats on the improvement of the team from 2020 and maybe why that shouldn't be considered apples to oranges. How many goals better was the Galaxy's defense? And how many points of improvement should you expect in 2022? We've got a lot of details to share, and we'll tell you why Larry Morgan and Cog are never ever getting back together. Thanks for joining us on a very special night, and hopefully this won't be the last time we see you. A new season is already upon us. It's time to begin again!

Can we talk about a blown call in a game that was more than 1,500 miles away? Can we blame a team that couldn't get it done at home? And can we say goodbye to a member of CoG that has been integral to its success? Well, we're going to talk about all of it. We're going to go over a game the Galaxy shouldn't have lost, and we're going to talk about a coach that got some things wrong on the night. And while doing all of that, we're going to look back on a season that had plenty of opportunities and very little execution. The bottom line is that this Galaxy team wasn't ready to be in the playoffs. And playing against Minnesota at home, they didn't have the experience to get a result. We'll also discuss Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez and why Julian Araujo has a lot to learn about the really big games. And it's going to be two hours of absolute mayhem. Are you ready for Decision Day on steroids? Are you ready for multiple scenarios that get the Galaxy to the post-season? On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Sophie Nicolaou discuss the Galaxy's draw with Seattle, the lineup choices Greg Vanney made, and the stuttering development of a Young Designated Player that got it all wrong and could still cost the Galaxy a playoff spot. Josh and Sophie want to get at the heart of the Galaxy's woes over the last five seasons and why a big club like the Galaxy can't fill the seats. Is it only about winning? Or is it something else? Are the Galaxy missing characters? Are they missing stars? Your hosts are also updating you on Dennis te Kloese's contract and why the Galaxy picked up his option. Does that mean that te Kloese is staying for 2022? Not. So. Fast. And an uninspiring loss to Sporting KC may have taught them their most important lesson before their two biggest games of the season. On today's show, host Josh Guesman wants to walk you through all the Galaxy's mistakes against SKC and tell you why they can't afford to make them again. Plus, there's a lot of league news that you're going to want to know before the Galaxy travel to Seattle for some Monday night football. Josh will start with taking apart the Galaxy's loss to SKC and talk about how the stats will make this game closer than it was. Sure Sporting only got two shots on goal, and sure the Galaxy had the same number on their side, but in actuality, the Galaxy got played off the field in this game, and a lot of it has to do with not finding the vertical seams in SKC defense. Plus, Victor Vazquez, Jonathan dos Santos, and Rayan Raveloson were exploited on Wednesday night when the home team was able to pressure them into turnovers. Why did the defense allow two goals? And why do the Galaxy have a big choice to make on Sebastian Lletget? Josh will also look at Designated Players across the league and try and determine if Goals + Assists mean something in the grand scheme of things. Or does it just matter when it matters? We'll explain! And Julian Araujo has been nominated for a bunch of post-season awards, and he's the only player the Galaxy might see win one or two. Plus, we'll be looking at the standings in the Western conference and why we're convinced that the Galaxy will be playing for everything when they face off against Minnesota! Finally, with the Galaxy traveling to Seattle on Sunday, Josh wants to get you ready for the biggest game of the season. Can LA find a way to catch the Sounders unaware? If you're an optimist, the draw might give the Galaxy the one point they need to make the playoffs. But both sets of people would agree, the next two games are challenging. And getting results against Sporting KC and the Seattle Sounders would mean the Galaxy earn the post-season spot! On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter discuss the Galaxy's pathetic first-half performance against a bottom-dwelling team in the Western Conference, and why Greg Vanney may have gotten it wrong with the players he chose for the starting lineup. And just how important is Julian Araujo to the Galaxy? Newsflash -- very important! Was that a peek at what the Galaxy might be facing once Araujo moves on from Major League Soccer? But Josh and Kevin are keeping their eyes on the Wednesday night matchup with Sporting KC. Kevin thinks the Galaxy are catching KC at the perfect time. And their schedule and the history of games played Children's Mercy Park might lean into that... almost. Josh thinks that getting a point from both KC and Seattle is key to getting into the playoffs. But with the inconsistency of the entire conference, maybe just a win against Minnesota will be enough? A lot, actually. And we want to share it with you. On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira talk about all the pertinent points the Galaxy accomplished against the Dynamo and why it makes Wednesday's game one of the most important of the year. In actuality, it all comes down to allowing Greg Vanney to start thinking about the FC Dallas game before the Houston game was even over. And that's something the Galaxy have failed to accomplish this entire season. And with six points out of nine so far in the week, the Dallas game takes on an importance that might not have been there if the Galaxy don't win midweek. The guys will talk about the significant contributions from the alternate lineup guys like Sacha Kljestan, Efrain Alvarez, and Kevin Cabral. That's where the LA Galaxy's winless streak now stands, and they've got some tough prospects coming up midweek and this weekend. On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter discuss the Galaxy's latest debacle and why Greg Vanney might be correct, but he still can't divorce himself from the results of the loss at Austin FC. The Guys will start with some numbers talk as they look at the Galaxy's play against Austin. Why did Vanney and Jonathan dos Santos both talk about execution after the game? And did the 2-0 loss come down to missed chances? What about the defense? Will they need to be perfect down the stretch for LA? And are the Galaxy even a playoff team anymore? Josh and Kevin will also discuss the chances that Dennis te Kloese gets all the blame if the season goes sideways and why one win really could mean the difference for a Galaxy team that is mentally fragile at this point. Expert analysis boiled down to "score first" and "be a better team." It may sound pedestrian, but the guys will make it sound way more exciting than that. But the base idea is still the same. So for the Galaxy, it definitely comes down to either executing when it counts or being executed before the season is over. How do the Galaxy make you feel right now? The term can mean anything from what the LA Galaxy did with Gyasi Zardes to what they're trying to do with a young player like Alex Alcala. So what does it mean to an organization like the Galaxy? On today's special edition of Corner of the Galaxy, host Josh Guesman is joined by LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese for over 60 minutes of youth development discussion. Josh and Dennis will cover topics that range from why scouting and development are different and what the goal for the club is when developing players. Why scouting is an essential part of the equation, and what it takes to make these ventures pay off? They'll also discuss how the landscape has shifted in MLS and why going to Europe to develop seems to be something of the past and not something of the future. What are the pitfalls of youth development for a young player, and why is it so important to have parental buy-in and parental education. And why the interests of the club can usually match the interests of the player. And Josh will even throw in some important questions at the end, just to make sure everyone makes it through the discussion. Can the Galaxy look at that game and feel good about themselves? Of course they can't. That was a loss. A 3-0 loss and no amount of stat manipulation will get you to feel good about that game. So we probably won't try that tactic this time. Probably. On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter discuss the Galaxy's penchant for losing games in which they allow the opposition to score first. And we think it's pretty obvious to say we've fixed the Galaxy without really trying that hard. Will world peace be next? Josh and Kevin discuss the loss to Minnesota and why the stats actually do tell the story if you want to read them right. So why did Greg Vanney put many of his starters on the bench for that game? And why does this team need to figure out their level? Plus, if you could get one player to play at their peak for the next nine games, who has the most significant effect on this team down the stretch? The guys will also talk about the Galaxy's schedule, MLS's scheduled, and why you should be scoreboard watching on Saturday and Sunday night. Yes, it's that time of the year where you need to see what every game brings in order to try and place the Galaxy into the bigger picture. Are you confident the Galaxy are still making the playoffs? We've got a great show for you tonight that should spark some conversation around the water cooler. Wait, is there water cooler talk during a pandemic? Thanks for listening!

Houston didn't play like the lousy team they are, but you still expect the Galaxy to win a game like that at home. Is Chicharito right? Are the Galaxy lacking ambition? On today's podcast, hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira want to dive headfirst into all the disappointing Galaxy feelings that are inhabiting your body and get you to a point where you're ready for the final ten games of the season. Josh and Eric will start by introducing you to our newest podcast game: Secret Word. That's where you try to guess what our secret word is during the show. Then send us an email. Maybe you'll win something? Perhaps you won't? The guys will dig into the draw with the Houston Dynamo and discuss some individual players who looked like they didn't belong on the field for the first half. And there's one name in here that is playing himself out of a starting position and a contract. Plus, the guys will discuss the bad calls the Galaxy were handed and why there probably should have been a penalty for the club in the second half. That being said, if Chicharito buries his 88th-minute shot, the Galaxy get all three points regardless of the bad calls down the stretch. Eric will tell you what he thinks is the best XI for the Galaxy, and Josh will cheat to tell you why Eric is wrong. But who would you start in this important game at Minnesota? Are you looking to pair Dejan Joveljić with Chicharito? Do you want a lineup you can build into? And how do you handle rotations with getting your best guys on the field? But the guys will also give you some ammunition to make those choices and explain who is making a difference on the score sheet and who isn't. So you're going to be ready for the discussion. Finally, Josh and Eric will tell you what they think of this weekend Minnesota game and why it's going to be a tougher game but also might set up well for the Galaxy. Maybe this is the one they steal, again? We've got a great show for you, and we're glad you could stick around and listen to two crazy guys go on and on about the Galaxy. Also, hi Carter and Scott! But can you claim that the Galaxy deserved more from that very even affair? On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter will get you updated on the Galaxy information you need for the jump start to a hectic week for the team from Los Angeles. That will include hearing from Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez for the first time since June and what Galaxy head coach Greg Vanney thinks of this Houston Dynamo team now that they snapped a very long winless streak. Josh and Kevin will start with the draw against the Colorado Rapids. They'll talk about the play of Chicharito and why the Galaxy left two or three big plays on the table when facing off against the second-best team in the Western Conference. Can you pencil LA into the number four spot in the West? Or could a busy September, and some dropped points, mean the Galaxy will be scrambling toward the end of the season? The guys will transition to an overlooked Galaxy defender, and why you should probably never count out Dan Steres. After all, he got a Team of the Week nod in his return to the starting lineup and helped the Galaxy limit the Rapids to just three shots on goal. But the September schedule should have you nervous. Josh and Kevin will go over the Galaxy's close to this short and compact month and look at all the road games that should have fans more than a little on edge. If the Galaxy are going to come together, now would be a great time to do it. Finally, the guys look at a Houston Dynamo team that is bad. And even though they just won, they're still bad. And that means these are probably the easiest three points of the season. Which also means they will be anything but easy. We've got a packed show for you today, and we're very, very glad you could join us.

Today's show will get you ready for the Galaxy's next game against the Colorado Rapids. And that's going to be a massive test for a team that doesn't know what their best lineup is and is having to go to altitude to try and beat a team they haven't beat since 2017. Hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira discuss the Galaxy's media conference call and tell you about the positivity exuding from Galaxy head coach Greg Vanney. Will Chicharito play in a single striker formation? Will Vanney pair with Dejan Joveljić? And what circumstances might the Galaxy use Chicharito in during the game? The guys will also talk about the Galaxy's odds to make the playoffs, according to FiveThirtyEight, and why betting on them to win MLS Cup might be a steal! And the talk today is covering a lot of things we haven't always had time for in this crazy, condensed, calamitous season. Hosts Josh Guesman and, filling in for Kevin Baxter (who's away covering World Cup Qualifying with the USMNT), LA Galaxy radio host Christian Miles want to get you through some injury updates, some LA Galaxy II talk, and some discussion on why some young player are fleeing to Europe! Josh and Christian will discuss the minutes the seven Galaxy internationals are facing through the first couple of World Cup Qualifiers and international friendlies. Will the Galaxy be able to use some of the guys who have logged some considerable minutes? And will the September schedule allow the Galaxy a chance at a breather for any of these guys? Then the show will discuss the longevity of Jonathan dos Santos and why the 31-year-old was probably speaking a lot of truth when he claimed to have been "just joking." The guys will also talk about when the Galaxy plan on addressing this with dos Santos and what that could mean for his future. And does the situation with JDS also mimick another in the front office where the Galaxy may be slow-playing contract talks? Finally, Josh and Christian get into a deeper conversation that leads to talking about young players always walking a tight-rope and why it's hard to say what the Galaxy do well. If defense is a mentality, what does that even mean? Is defense effort-based? Is it understanding-based? And is the defense really about more than a backline that has struggled for the Galaxy for years? We've got a great show that is sure to touch on a bunch of other more prominent topics. Would you want to change the lineup to get a better A+ set of players? And can you do that without Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez being on the field? But why should the Galaxy be hyper-focused on Colorado on Tuesday night? Hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter discuss the Galaxy's 1-0 win over Minnesota and why Greg Vanney deserves a gold star for being willing to give away a road game while still getting three points. Rotation is an essential part of the Galaxy's strategy through the rest of this congested schedule. So a win on the road with a rotated lineup should make fans very excited for what is coming. And while Klinsmann was the big takeaway from the game -- and is undoubtedly making some fans think that the number two keeper might get the start again -- there are plenty of solid performances in that road win that need to be discussed. Is a single point out of a possible nine a sign that things aren't going well for the club? Or was this just a little bump in the road? FC Dallas took it to the Galaxy on Saturday night, but the scoreline doesn't necessarily tell the story. And can we stop with the "excuses" excuse? Hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter discuss the Galaxy's problems heading into a critical home stretch against the Portland Timbers and why a statement win is vital to the team's success throughout August. Also, Kevin will check in from his Tokyo hotel room and then have to leave early to cover the USWNT game at the Olympics. The guys will talk about Kevin Cabral's struggle and whether or not it's time to bench the young player. And you'll hear from Greg Vanney about what he's seen from Cabral. Do you disagree with the coach's approach? Should Cabral be put on notice? And there was a significant return to the field on Saturday night. We'll talk about Danilo Acosta's Galaxy debut and tell you why he could be the key to making Jorge Villafaña even better than he's already been. Finally, Josh will update you on the Galaxy's chase of Dejan Joveljić and why things seem to be heading toward a signing for a second striker. What could the young man bring to the Galaxy? And how might the club use him? We've got a packed show that we can't wait to share with you. And while you're here, make sure to get your tickets for Saturday's LIVE EVENT! We've got some great special guests lined up, including Cozmo!

But Dallas presents some exciting challenges. Can a depleted and road-beaten Galaxy do something that no other team has done yet? On today's show, host Josh Guesman is joined by guest-host Christian Miles -- the voice of the Galaxy's radio broadcasts -- to discuss the events surrounding the club's first draw of the season. Did the Galaxy learn from a poor start against Real Salt Lake? And can they take those lessons into the match with Dallas? Josh and Christian discuss the changes that saved the game on Wednesday night and why Greg Vanney is starting to get his adjustments spot on. Rayan Raveloson -- yes, we have the pronunciation from him, again -- is tearing up MLS, and he's doing it at a pace better than another big name Galaxy player. Will that last? And what did Julian Araujo bring to the table in the game-tying goal? What makes the youngster so good? But one player is struggling. Maybe he's a bit lost in the system, but can Kevin Cabral start to produce for the Galaxy? And why is it important to get him out of the middle of the field? Finally, Josh and Christian want to get you ready for the weird and wacky things that happen in Dallas. Are the Galaxy prepared to take another step forward on Saturday night in hostile territory? Get tickets to our live event on July 31st, and thanks, as always, for joining us!

So what happened in a clearly flat performance? And can they fix it before the face-off against Real Salt Lake on Wednesday night? Hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter discuss the loss the Galaxy sustained and why Greg Vanney believes his team couldn't find the answers against a Whitecaps side that hasn't won many games. But first, Kevin will update you on his 26-hour trip to cover the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. And why you couldn't take a penalty kick in his hotel room. Or maybe why he has a murder alley view. The guys will give you audio from Vanney as he explains what a short bench means for the current team and why he expects more from his starters. And can you look at the starting lineup the Galaxy put together and start complaining the club didn't have the horses to win this game? Josh will pull out some charts that tell you where the Galaxy compare to other seasons and why, even though they lost to Vancouver, they're still in a good spot when it comes to their road record. In fact, they're in a very good place. But they need to keep winning games on the road. And that probably means against Real Salt Lake. Josh and Kevin will preview the match against RSL and discuss why this is a team the Galaxy should beat. But they're not a bad team. They just haven't won a lot of games through the first third of the season. Is this a case of the Galaxy being the better team? What kind of reaction do you expect after losing to Vancouver? Can the Galaxy keep their streak of not losing consecutive games? We've got a packed show for you today, and we can't wait to share it with you!

But it is certainly one they should be able to handle. That's even when you take five players off the roster with their participation in the Gold Cup. Our goal is to get you ready for the Galaxy's longest road trip of the season on today's podcast. It's a road trip that will see the Galaxy take on two of the worst teams in Major League Soccer but play three games in eight days -- with two of those games being played at altitude. Hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira are well versed in Galaxy news and all the injury and availability updates you'll need before turning on the TV this Saturday! The guys will start with going over Efrain Alvarez's contract extension and why the Galaxy will use the U-22 rules to their fullest advantage. But what exactly does that mean for Alvarez and Julian Araujo in salary and salary cap? We'll explain. Josh and Eric will also talk about the All-Star Game as well and why you shouldn't vote for Galaxy players, but if you do, these are the guys who are probably already going, so you won't be hurting anything! Then it's an update on where Galaxy players stand in their Gold Cup appearances in a segment that will no be called Gold CupDates. Because why not? And while we throw in a couple of other stats and exciting things you'll want to know as you watch the games for the rest of the year, Josh and Eric also want you to prepare for the Vancouver Whitecaps and what they are might be presenting on Saturday night.
