Orlando City returned to the pitch on Saturday after a two-week layoff and while it would be wrong to say the Lions didn't miss a beat, they at least captured all three vital points in a road match-up with FC Cincinnati. The win was a lot more difficult than it needed to be, due in part to the Lions' play in the second half and partly due to no one being able to look at a monitor long enough to see whether Tesho Akindele's crossbar ricochet fully crossed the line (we certainly thought so), but winning in a place the team has never previously won is always good. We break down the win and make our Man of the Match selections. We also dive a little into the USMNT's crucial win over Costa Rica and how Gregg Berhalter's team is positioned in the Octagonal after the close of the international window. The Orlando Pride played twice since our last show and things did not go well. The Pride will not be heading to the postseason after dropping games in Chicago and Louisville. The team has little to play for with one match remaining in what turned into a disappointing season after the Pride had sat atop the table at the one-third-season mark. We discuss the two matches and dive into what Ian Fleming and the Pride brass have to do to get this team to the next level. This week's mailbag gave us a lot of work to do on deciding which eight teams we think will make the MLS postseason from the Eastern Conference. If there's anything — and we do mean anything — you want us to address on the next show, just ask by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC. We close the show with our key match-ups and score predictions for Orlando City vs. Montreal tonight and vs. New England on Sunday. That's all for this week. Stay safe and enjoy the show! Here's how No. 268 went down: 0:15 - Junior Urso's goal was just enough to keep Orlando's unbeaten run going Saturday and now the competition gets tougher even if it is at home. Plus, Berhalter's got the USMNT in a good spot so let's just see how things play out. 31:56 - The Pride are toast for 2021 and so they will spend the postseason at home yet again. Changes are coming for this team. Plus, our mailbag and our keys to the next two matches as well as our score predictions. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

The USMNT roster is here for World Cup qualifying, and it's time to react to it on Episode 62. The roster was released this morning, and we go through it to highlight who Gregg Berhalter called in and who was not included. There were several players who were included on this roster that did not make it in the September window: Paul Arriola, Tim Weah, Gyasi Zardes, Luca de la Torre, Matthew Hoppe, Shaq Moore, Yunus Musah, Chris Richards, and Gianluca Busio. While Gio Reyna and Christian Pulisic were not included due to injury, Jordan Pefok, Josh Sargent, Ethan Horvath, and Konrad de la Fuente were also left off the roster. There are also others who were not on either roster that fans may think should have been brought into camp. We discuss it all briefly on this episode. We close out this episode with a personal tribute to Martin Huschka, an inspirational young boy in the American soccer family who passed away late last week due to complications from a neurodegenerative disorder that was so rare, there have been only 14 cases worldwide. I tell the story of Martin's journey, what he meant to me and why he is the strongest boy that I've ever met. Martin is going to be missed by so many, but the joy that he shared is something that will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to meet him or be inspired through his story. If you are so inclined to also pay tribute to Martin's memory, his family requests that you make a donation to Gilda's Club of Metro Detroit, Angela Hospice, or Rainbow Connection. The Mane Land: for Orlando City SC fans

Orlando City finally had a good offensive night, scoring three times against the defending MLS Cup champion Columbus Crew. All of those were needed as an own goal by Antonio Carlos and a quick second goal by Miguel Berry turned a 2-0 deficit into a 2-2 game in the second half. But Junior Urso came to the rescue to provide the final margin. Orlando is now unbeaten in seven straight games and we're breaking down the match-up and giving you our picks for Man of the Match. Daryl Dike and Junior Urso were obviously strong contenders, having made the MLS Team of the Week. Add Mason Stajduhar to the list of Lions who have spent time out with injuries this season. Stajduhar's torn meniscus gave Adam Grinwis his first start since rejoining Orlando City and he made the most of his opportunity, beating the Crew for the second time in purple. The new backup is another familiar face in the form of Greg Ranjitsingh. The Pride, gave up a horrible early goal to the Houston Dash but managed to fight back for a 1-1 draw at home on Sunday. Orlando must do better than tread water in home matches but at least one point is better than none. Taylor Kornieck soared high to head home the game-tying goal to keep the Pride above the playoff line for the moment, but other teams are lurking close behind and they have games in hand. The USMNT is raising everyone's blood pressure so far with two straight draws in World Cup qualifying. We aren't ready to panic but the margin for error is shrinking. We discuss Gregg Berhalter's team and how it can get back on track in qualifying. This week's mailbag asked about the NWSL championship, the USMNT, other MLS teams' third strikers, and whether we were in Nashville for Sunday's qualifier. If there's anything — and we do mean anything — you want us to address on the next show, just ask by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC. We close the show with our key match-ups and score predictions for Orlando City at Atlanta United. That's all for this week. Stay safe and enjoy the show! Here's how No. 262 went down: 0:35 - Orlando City got a big night of offense to fend off the Crew and Daryl Dike was a big reason why (literally and figuratively). 22:39 - The Pride needed to take all three points but got only one. That's better than none, we guess, but the season is winding down and every match is magnified in importance. 45:20 - We answer our listener mail and give our predictions for the Lions at Atlanta.
