Will and Adam watched Problem Child 2 and discuss what makes this little sequel so special. IMDb: imdb.com/title/tt0102719/ Trailer: youtube.com/watch?v=Qmvf4Jr0AEg
Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast. Today, I covered the movie Problem Child 2. Movie Synopsis: The worst child in the world makes an unthinkable discovery - there is another child even worse than him, and it's a girl. Junior's back in his first adventure since his last! Junior and Ben move to Mortville which seems like the perfect town to live in. We find out that it is in fact a metropolis for single divorced women who line up at Ben's front door as soon as he and Junior pull up to their new house and move in. Good grief! We also (sadly) get the return of Big Ben (Ben's father), a sweet single mother with her own Problem Child, a girl named Trixie who becomes Junior's nemesis and then later ally. Of course we have to have a villain, who comes in the form of Luwanda Dumore, a woman who has been married 6 times and basically owns the town of Mortville. Think of a woe bag version of Mrs. Deegle from Gremlins. I could not stand this woman, The way she just takes over Ben and Junior's lives. Redecorating their home, it was too damn much. I really enjoyed Annie's character and watching this as a 10 year old originally I had no idea that was Amy Yasbeck (who had played Flo in the first movie). Such a vast contrast from self absorbed Flo. I hope you all enjoy the movie review! Have a great weekend! To EMAIL The Podcast GO TO: lbomwonderyearspodcast@gmail.com

Joining the conversation is verified cult legend and the star of DESPERATE LIVING herself, Mink Stole, who shares memories of her time making this classic, as well as stories of her life in Dreamland. Then, punk rock party promoter Seth Shubin and iconic drag king Fudgie Frottage stop by to talk about the film's ongoing transgressive legacy in queer spaces and how John Waters changed their lives. PsychotroniCast concludes it’s 70’s John Waters Series with 1977’s Desperate Living. Dreamlander Mink Stole plays Peggy Gravel, a psychotic house wife who, with the help of her maid, Grizelda Brown (Played by Jean Hill) murder her husband and embark on a journey to their new lives that await them in Mortville. John Waters really lets his freak flag fly with Mortville. An off the grid society populated by homeless burnouts who are ruled by a fascist queen named Carlotta, played by Dreamlander Edith Massey whose leather daddy gestapo rule with an iron fist!Sadly, with the death of David Lochary prior to the production of Desperate Living, plus the absence of Devine due to scheduling conflicts, Waters casts Liz Renay and Susan Lowe to provide the filth. Their valiant effort does not go unnoticed, but the absence of the two most important Dreamlanders is felt.

Thom, Whalen, and CJ 5000 are headed straight to Mortville to discuss Waters' profane fairy tale Desperate Living before unfurling the first ever Wall to Wall Carpet segment, wherein they pull together the unseemly threads of all four early Waters films discussed over the last month. But first, your valiant Carpeteers class up their act by playing a game of Signature Role, here hashing out the (mostly) prestigious filmography of Julianne Moore.
Take a trip with Mike and Mondo Justin to Mortville where we'll be joined by writer/director John Waters and star Mink Stole as we talk about the twisted lesbian fairy tale Desperate Living. Break out the oatmeal cookies!Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
