Next Generation Pastor, Christian Hines talks about what happens when the church comes together.
What do generations need from each other? In this week's message, Student Pastor David Branch unpacks Psalm 78:1-8 and shows us the timeless calling to pass down faith from one generation to the next. We are reminded to tell the next generation what God has done, teach them to love what He has said, and live a life of authentic faith worth imitating. The next generation is searching for something timeless to believe and someone compelling to follow, and we are invited to be that message and that model. (08_17_2025)
What if the next generation didn't just inherit our world, but our faith? Proverbs 22:6 calls us to guide them onto the right path and Judges 2 warns what happens when we don't. This message is a rally cry to believe in today's youth, call out their God-given potential, and invest in them like the future depends on it… because it does. From parenting with purpose to mentoring, fostering, or sponsoring a child through Compassion International, you have a role to play in shaping lives both here and around the globe. This is the moment to speak life, fuel dreams, and help usher in the kind of revival only God can ignite through the next generation. Did you make a decision to follow Christ today? Nehemiah lived in a time when his community faced significant brokenness. But guess what? Instead of getting FRUSTRATED by that brokenness, he DID something about that brokenness! In our world today, we've got our fair share of brokenness. But instead of getting frustrated by it, God wants us to DO something about it!In week seven, our Next Generation Pastor, Bryon Shaw, shares a powerful truth: we don't just TEACH people the Bible, we help people UNDERSTAND and APPLY the Bible!

Pastor Matthew continues The Gospel-Centered Family series by opening Psalm 78 to teach about the urgency for the Church to reach the next generation! As the story of Joshua demonstrates, we can easily be just one generation away from losing our future to the things of this world. It is of upmost importance for older generations to reach, disciple, and train the coming generations (our children) to follow the Lord wholeheartedly!

At the beginning of this season in episode 1, you heard clips from three different conversations to set the stage for the podcast. In this episode, you'll hear our entire conversation on spiritual development with Randy Isola. Randy Isola has served the local church as a pastor since 1991, in the NextGen areas of kids, youth and family ministries. He has experience working in both denominational and non-denominational churches, ranging from a bi-lingual, inner-city church plant to multi-site, suburban, mega churches. Randy has been on staff at Christ Community Church in the western suburbs of Chicago since 2005. He is on their leadership team of Sr. Directors as the Next Generation Pastor leading the staff and ministries for nursery through college across all campuses. Randy believes that to lead or join endeavors impacting kids and students for Christ is one of the greatest eternal investments anyone can make. He received his Bachelor and Master's degrees from Wheaton College in Illinois. Randy is also a NextGen Associate at Slingshot, where he gets to equip and resource churches to build remarkable teams that will impact the next generation. Randy and his wife Michelle grew up attending church together in Chicago and were married in 1994. They have 4 sons in their late teens and early 20's and live in the suburbs of Chicago. Randy likes to hang out with his family, watch sports and let his dog on the couch when his wife isn't around.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Ryan McDermott, a team member of SLU (Student Leadership University), brings us a word of encouragement on leading this generation of students. Prior to this, he served in youth ministry as a youth pastor for 5 years. Ryan also is a team member of SLU (Student Leadership University). Brad Schelling is the EVP of Operations at First Priority of America and Steve Cherrico is the Executive Director of FP Greater Nashville as well as a Regional Manager for FPoA. Bruce Roberts, Next Generation Pastor at Bell Shoals Church, discusses another Roadblock- Shame. Shame is the deep sense that you are unacceptable because of something you did, something done to you, or something associated with you. It is a direct assault on the image of God and challenges our sense of worth. The acceptance of Jesus empowers us to risk the rejection of people. He was despised and rejected in every way so that we can be accepted by God in every way.
We continue our DNA series with our sixth value: We Invest In the Next Generation.
Week 1 of the Element3 Church series “The Next Generations." Message slides available at element3.org/slides
The theme of this annual Holy Spirit gathering will be PREVAIL! Isaiah 42:13 says, "The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war, he shall cry, roar; he shall prevail against His enemies." Many of us have faced intense battles in 2022, and some battles continue to rage. But the Lord has given us His Holy Spirit power so that we can persevere until we prevail against our enemies! He is building our spiritual muscle to PREVAIL! This is going to be a powerful gathering as we welcome more of the Holy Spirit into our lives and receive from the Lord. This message encourages us to speak out our faith and to pass it on to the next generation, just like the Israelites were instructed to do in the Bible. Great are His works! This is part of running our race well and passing the spiritual "baton", which we are all called to do!
