Bishop Jack Sheets continues our Pneuma series with a message on Pentacost called "The Power of the Holy Spirit". The Power of the Holy Spirit is … A spiritual and transformative power that changes us from the inside out and helps us to be more like Christ, and empowers us to live with greater purpose, strength, and faith, as we experience a deeper connection with god in our lives. Without the Holy Spirit working in your life, it is impossible to live the life God wants you to live. —— If you want to support what God is doing through Cityline, click here: https://www.citylineonline.churchcenter.com/giving Want to learn more about Cityline and how to get involved? How can we become better listeners? What if the church's primary role is to translate shalom - peace, wholeness, well-being - into the home languages of all people? How can we avoid using our words to dominate and instead use them to heal?

Dr. Jonny shares his trials he faced this week, and compels us to embrace patience and even waiting. As Pentecost Sunday approaches, we remember that the key that unlocked the Promise was to wait. Waiting isn't passive, but rather positional! We are to position ourselves with expectancy for the next and the greater assignment for His kingdom!
The 1st rain was Pentacost, and when it says His due season, it's referring to the moves of the Holy Spirit. It's the Holy Spirit who is on the earth. So when it talks about His first due season (Pentacost), and then it says the first rain and the latter rain that you may gather in your corn and your wine and your oil. Corn, Wine, and Oil refer to "Harvest". And so the latter rain is in regard to the last harvest and the last great move of the Holy Spirit across the earth before the second coming of Christ. And so the significance of the latter rain, is that it heralds the second coming of Christ. And therefore it is of great importance to us when we start seeing moves of the Holy Spirit worldwide, because He is not a respecter of persons and we start seeing the manifestations of the Spirit and of the gifts of the Spirit in power and seeing the greatest harvest of evangelism that the world has ever known. Bern has not only been a born-again believer for nearly the past 40 years, but also dedicated 31 years of his life to the study and clinical practice of medicine and surgery in the fields of psychiatry and brain surgery. He has held medical school professorships in psychiatry and neurosurgery and worked in private practice in both areas. Bern has an immense background in understanding the physical body, as well as the soul - the mind, will, and emotions - not only from a medical standpoint but also from a spiritual standpoint. With his background and training, he has been led by the Holy Spirit to teach "the Deep Things of God" (1 Cor. 2:10) with an emphasis on Spiritual Warfare (Jer. 51:20), Breaking Generations' Curses (Ex. 20:5; Lev. 26:40-44), walking in the Power of the Holy Spirit (John 14:12; 1 Cor. 4:20; Luke 17:21) and "the Restoration of All Things" (Acts 3:21). We at Word of Faith Ministries International-Miami hope and pray that these teachings of the Holy Spirit through Bern will edify and regenerate your spirit to gain a deeper understanding of God's Word and His truths so you can have a deeper and more intimate relationship with Him. May God bless you all!!

Today we start a little "in the weeds" stepping further into the oikonomia idea Galen presented and how it fits into the theological model called Dispensationalism. BUT THEN we get back to more applicable questions of how well we follow the examples of the first Christians in the days after the Pentacost.
