In the 3rd episode of The Caddy Series, it was a pleasure to be joined by LPGA Tour, Solheim & Ryder Cup pro caddy Jack Clarke as he phones from home in  Florida after a busy 2024 season on the bag with the legendary Anna Nordqvist in a season which saw Jack on the bag for the Majors as well as being at Solheim Cup in Virginia (Anna's 9th) in an event that Jack and now wife Swedish star Madelene Sagström famously had their mini 'honeymoon' and actually got paired together in the same session as Anna/Madelene teamed up together! Jack kindly offers his advice on the expertise of being a Professional caddy! Jack was a fine player in his own right winning Amateur events and turned Professional at 18 years old where he would achieve a Challenge Tour Tour card in 2013/14 before a sad run of injuries hindered his player career and had to give it up at 27 years old! We learn about Jack's experiences as a player! In late 2017 Jack got a call from Gemma Dryburgh to perhaps caddy for Gemma on the LET in which he accepted and would go on to caddy for European Solheim Cup star Caroline Hedwall which included be on her bag at 2019 Solheim Cup at Gleneagles where Suzann Pettersen famously sunk the winning putt to beat the US.  Jack has caddied in 3 Solheim Cups & 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome only losing the once which was this year's Solheim Cup at Robert Trent Jones. He would be on the bag at 2021 Solheim in Toledo for partner Madelene Sagström, be on the bag for the superstar Ludvig Aberg in Rome where Ludvig & Hovland famously defeated Koepka & Scheffler 9&7 and was on the bag with Anna Nordqvist this year. 2023 was a great year for Jack with getting the bag of the promising talent Ludvig Aberg and was able to share alongside 2023 Ryder Cup win also 2 individual wins together at Crans Montana for Omega European Masters and a stunning victory by Ludvig at RSM Classic on PGA Tour. We find out just what makes Ludvig Aberg so good!  I had a great chat with Jack about all things Golf and he comes across as a really likeable guy while also being a well respected figure as a good caddy! I hope you enjoyed it!   Reminder guys that the podcast is nominated in 2025 Sports Podcast Awards for Best Golf Podcast and I need the help of all you lovely people to help me try and cause a shock! Would love your votes as we try to get bigger!  Please be sure to leave a 5 star review as it helps massively with the growth and be sure to like, subscribe and download on Apple Podcasts & Spotify! It's the start of PGA week, although not the very start since Iain was flying on Monday and Eddie was taking advantage of a very generous offer of golf at Walton Heath at a perfectly respectable tee-time. So it is a slightly delayed pod which the trio make up for by wondering if Rory McIlroy's victory at Quail Hollow installs him as favourite for the second men's major of the year. Or will Koepka bring his big-stage game to the fore again? And will Scheffler be rusty after giving his first-born two surnames? The trio also go into the history of the US PGA and the many honours of an often-forgotten British great of the game. Meanwhile lots of people tell us that their golf club does very good coffee, about which Eddie remains very sceptical indeed. They are both down and despondent about it, but congratulatory to Taylor Pendrith, who is likely heading back to the Presidents Cup. There are some more harsh words for the host course. They wonder about any LIV momentum especially given what appears to be continued board gridlock. They discuss Brooks Koepka's win there, a solid leaderboard, and the comments from Greg Norman that they might buy some golf courses. In news, they discuss Tiger's exemption to Pinehurst. He will apparently be there but it's still unclear who will be the NBC lead analyst, which prompts further discussion with that network apparently putting in a bid to spend on NBA rights. Hold everything. Mark has come in worked up, he is not happy that Cape Wickham has been named the #1 golf course in Australia by Australian Golf Digest, and says that they have clearly got it wrong. Mark says that the list (see it here) has now lost all credibility and whilst he loves Cape Wickham, it is not the #1 course by a long shot. Mark believes the list should be immediately changed as it is clearly flawed. Love your thoughts.LIV Adelaide last weekend was huge. We also give Sam from the Golf Clearance Outlet a call as he was there playing with a couple of superstars - he tells us all about it! And Mark reveals that he has the inside word on a couple of major LIV signings who he says have indicated that they will not be re-signing with LIV at the end of their current agreement. It's a loaded Monday episode with the Playoffs in full effect, team match play rosters taking shape, and American cities to debate and pit against one another. Andy relays a tale from a boiling hot sweaty round in STL and Brendan discusses his travels from DEN. They begin with the incredible scores from another one of Chicago's venerable championship tests and the heavy dose of wedges involved in them. There's great praise for an outrageous Viktor Hovland closing nine, his “leap” year, and his amusing if unenthusiastic quote about the coming week in Atlanta. There's a lengthy discussion on the Sepptic Tank, the group of superfans in t-shirts with that moniker, and his valiant fight to get into the Tour Championship and nearly knock out just a guy in the process. There's also plenty more confusion over the FEC standings and the constant shuffling on the various cut lines. There's a follow-up on Michael Block's course record round at Valhalla, with some disturbing allegations and a spirited defense from sources inside the round, and from this podcast as well. The Ryder Cup auto-qualifiers are discussed, with Koepka getting bounced at the last second, and what it means for the captain's picks. There is ample praise for Nick Dunlap's U.S. Am win and a question about how soon he should turn pro. The KFT finals are also set up and debated, as well as Alexa Pano's first win over in Europe. Finally, they close with Walker Cup and Solheim Cup roster news to follow-up on the earlier Ryder Cup debate -- a month of team match play draws nigh!

As a guest speaker at this month's www.faithfulpatriot.org meeting, one of the big topics is a movie many attendees have seen called "South of Freedom."   This movie has been on a shelf for years as big studios didn't want you to see it.  Then a little known company called Angel Studios got the rights and it is crushing it at the box office.  It's uncomfortable as it deals with child sex trafficking in America but it may be the most important movie this year.    The White House is in full blown panic mode after cocaine is found near the Situation Room.  It's so bad they trotted out a low level white guy to give a "no comment" and invoke the Hatch Act as if that should prevent Americans from knowing what the hell is going on.    A new chart shows the shocking difference in the cost of buying a $400,000 home when Trump was president versus Joe Biden.  You won't believe this number.    The Big 12 football poll is out and if you ask me, it's bad news for K-State and KU.  I'll explain.  Brooks Koepka just completely slams one of his LIV Golf teammates and the KC sports media scores another lowlight bragging about the record low tv ratings Mahomes and Kelce got playing golf last week.  Wow.

It was a fantastic PGA Sunday so a peppy Andy and Brendan check in one last time for the week to discuss it all, starting with Brooks Koepka's fifth major championship win. They praise Koepka's work both at Oak Hill and over the course of his career as the majors king of this era. They wrangle with the LIV question, and whether this brings any “validation” to that tour or product and also address the Ryder Cup question. Viktor Hovland's real challenge is praised, while Rory McIlroy's mismanagement is not. Michael Block, the darling of the week, is also discussed as the likely top story of the entire championship for general sports and non-golf fans. His two exemptions that broke during recording are also reacted to as the Tour thirsts for a Block bump. The Oak Hill setup and the kind of leaderboard talent it produced is examined. Some disappointments from the weekend are also noted. This episode was sponsored by AG1 by Athletic Greens, whose ad read comes with a significant mea culpa from the two idiot hosts.
