Send us a textWhat if peace with food doesn't start with more rules but with a renewed mind and reordered love? In this episode, we sit on the porch and wrestle with a question many of us face: does focusing on mind renewal mean we get a free pass to eat anything, anytime? As we unpack Romans 12:2, Galatians 5:13, and Colossians 2, we talk about how real freedom grows—not from control or indulgence—but from connection. Together, we explore how intimacy with God reshapes our desires, how gratitude replaces shame, and how caring for our bodies can flow from wisdom instead of fear or striving. We also bring this conversation down to earth—addressing diets, GLP-1 medications, and surgery without shame or judgment. No matter the path, the real invitation is to pause and ask, “God, what are Your thoughts about this for me?” With simple tools like a breath prayer—inhale, “Jesus, I want to know You,” exhale, “more than I want control”—we make space for Spirit-led choices that last. If your soul is weary from the tug-of-war between rules and rebellion, this episode offers rest, reflection, and a gentler way home.Support the showLearn more about our Revelation Within Community: https://www.revelationwithin.org

This Wednesday night class by Pastor Jesse Cunningham is titled - Character Development - A Renewed Heart Leads To A Renewed Mind
In The Fellowship of the Ring, Frodo's friend Sam stops as they're leaving the Shire on their long journey, saying, “If I take one more step, it'll be the farthest from home I've ever been.” Sam may have taken one step in that moment, but it would take countless more steps for him and Frodo to reach their destination. Pastor Jeff teaches today that the Holy Spirit's transforming work doesn't happen all at once. It takes thousands of tiny steps and lots of time to make you into a new creation.
Every piece of pottery in the entire world starts out as a lump of clay, harvested from the earth itself. It takes the work of a craftsman to transform that piece of clay into a vase, a plate, or any other object that you can imagine. Pastor Jeff reminds you today that while you and I are products of this world, we are meant to be shaped and formed into completely different beings. That's where the Holy Spirit comes into play, because as we faithfully follow Jesus, He renews us from the inside out.
When you look in the mirror of your own thoughts, what do you see — the version shaped by your past, or the one God already sees in you? Join us as we conclude our Listening to Holy Spirit – From Rules to Relationship series, exploring what it means to live from a renewed mind and a restored identity.

The Book of Romans Series: Colleen and Nikki discuss Romans 12:2. Paul says in this passage that believers are not to be conformed to this world. Does this passage address jewelry? Clothing? Makeup? And what does Paul mean by stating that believers are to be transformed by the renewing of their minds? Are minds renewed by keeping the Ten Commandments?Music: Falling Awake © 2010 Nathanael Tinker. The sermon delves into the scientific concept of neuroplasticity and relates it to the biblical idea of mind renewal, highlighting how changed thinking leads to changed living and a deeper understanding of God's paradoxical kingdom.

What if the biggest shift in your life starts with the way you think? In this message, "The Renewed Mind", Pastor Diego unpacks the transformative power of renewing your mind, a process that is empowered by the Holy Spirit and rooted in truth. Because God is better than we think, He invites us to think differently and align our minds with His goodness and purpose. True transformation doesn't come from changed emotions alone, but from exchanging old beliefs for new ones that reflect who we are in Christ. As 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, your mind matters to God, and it is worth renewing. Recorded at Hope Church in Springfield, MO.
