Start with a laugh, stay for the clarity. We open by poking at flat‑earth tangents and headline noise, then zero in on what actually moves health: the words we use, the food we choose, and the daily habits that tell our cells whether to panic or repair. I break down why calling disease “chronically fermenting cells” changes the frame from doom to metabolism, then map the core strategy—remove impediments, restore essentials, let biology work.We go deep on NAC versus glutathione in plain English. NAC supplies cysteine, the rate‑limiting amino acid for glutathione; healthy cells use it quickly, while dysfunctional cells often don't. That's a smarter redox play than pushing IV glutathione that can be hijacked. From there, we slice through diet myths—kale and oxalates, soy, seed oils, lignans, “anti‑nutrients”—and rebuild a human plate that supports detox, microbiome resilience, and autophagy: plants in their colors, fiber as a rule, time‑restricted eating, and finishing meals five hours before bed for overnight cleanup. The Q&A gets gritty and useful. We challenge “baseline” MRIs that don't change action, talk parasites the right way (botfly larvae need extraction; tapeworms need properly dosed cycles like albendazole, praziquantel, niclosamide, nitazoxanide), and outline child‑safe, weight‑based regimens with liver support. Severe autism? Consider supervised chelation (DMSA/EDTA), real food, vitamin C and D at meaningful levels, and gentle juice fasts. Juvenile arthritis? Think triggers, toxins, mold, and gut permeability—then treat cause, not just inflammation. On a tight budget, I give the short list: vitamin C, D3/K2, mixed carotenoids and E, melatonin, iodine/thyroid guidance, fasting, movement, and sleep before supplements sprawl. When cases are advanced—lung lesions with brain spread—we add integrative oncology: IV vitSend us a text Join Dr. Lodi's Inner Circle membership and unlock exclusive access to webinars, healthy recipes, e-books, educational videos, live Zoom Q&A sessions with Dr. Lodi, plus fresh content every month. Send Vanessa a Text MessageThis week's episode is a little different. For the first time in a long while, I'm sharing what feels like an overdue personal update. If you've been a longtime listener, you know my podcast has always been about YOU and providing encouragement, hope, and practical insight for the seasons you're walking through with your health. But lately, I've felt prompted to invite you into my own story in a deeper way, and in efforts to give a more comprehensive view so you can connect better with who's behind the microphone. This is not a super polished or ultra curated version of my story, but a real and honest account of what it's been like to walk through ongoing health challenges. My hope is that you'll feel less alone if you're also walking through something extra challenging, and that you may see glimpses of how God shows up even in the messiest, most difficult seasons. This was not an easy episode for me to release, but I believe it matters. Because meaning is so often found in the middle, not the mountaintop. I pray this encourages you right where you are.Support Vanessa and the Show: Support the PodcastBRAND NEW Podcast Website: Intentionally Well PodcastNote: You can now find social media links, all product recommendations, discount codes, blog, etc. directly at the new website above.Connect:Podcast on InstagramVanessa on InstagramPodcast on YouTubePodcast on TikTokPodcast on XEmail: intentionallywellpodcast@gmail.comSupport the showThis episode is for informational purposes only. In this episode of Hypnogeeks, Amanda chats with her friend and colleague Nicola Barragry — clinical hypnotherapist, Reiki Master, and creator of HypnoFlow. Nicola's inspiring story weaves together family life, personal loss, career shifts, and a lifelong commitment to helping others. From supporting her community as a teacher, council worker, and crisis advisor, to stepping fully into holistic healing, Nicola has built a unique toolkit that blends hypnotherapy, Reiki, and the Energy Alignment Method. She now runs two powerful initiatives: HypnoFlow, a year-long programme for clearing resistance and aligning subconscious beliefs, and Circles of Support, safe spaces where carers and community members can connect and be heard. This conversation is full of warmth and wisdom — and especially valuable for hypnotherapists and wellness professionals interested in blending modalities and deepening their work with subconscious communication.Key Highlights & Insights:0:13:21 – From teaching to crisis work: How Nicola recognised the limits of “broken systems” and developed her own approach to support clients holistically.0:26:55 – Discovering the Energy Alignment Method (EAM): Nicola shares her “aha moment”, realising that unresolved trauma and subconscious resistance often block transformation. She explains how EAM uses the body as a pendulum, working with sways, resistance, and reversals to access subconscious communication directly.0:37:41 – The five steps of EAM: A practical walk-through of how to identify resistance, trace beliefs back to their origin, release them with powerful statements, and replace them with aligned states of flow.0:56:40 – Blending Hypnotherapy & EAM: Nicola discusses how she integrates hypnosis with energy work, helping clients bypass resistance and deepen into subconscious communication. She uses metaphor, sanctuary spaces, and hypnotic techniques alongside energy alignment to create HypnoFlow.1:00:46 – The HypnoFlow Programme: A structured year-long journey blending hypnotherapy, energy alignment, and accountability. Participants work through universal laws, subconscious beliefs, physical health, relationships, lifestyle, wealth, and purpose — aligning every area of life. For hypnotherapists, it's an inspiring model of combining subconscious tools with holistic frameworks.1:10:56 – Circles of Support: Nicola's community initiative that offers safe spaces for carers, relatives of those in care homes, foster parents, teaching assistants, and charity workers. Unlike traditional support groups, Circles focus on holding space without agenda — a place for authentic presence, emotional release, and shared humanity. Hypnotherapists may recognise parallels with group hypnotherapy, supervision, and reflective practice.1:18:00 – Supervision & therapist support: Nicola has also trained as a hypnotherapy supervisor, bringing her unique blend of compassion, energy awareness, and subconscious communication to those working in the helping professions. Why listen? If you're a hypnotherapist, you'll find fresh inspiration in how Nicola blends EAM and hypnosis to work more intuitively with the subconscious. You'll also hear how she builds meaningful programmes and groups that address not just individual transformation, but the wider need for community connection. This episode is both a case study in professional reinvention and a reminder of the power of our work: to hold space, to listen beyond words, and to unlock the subconscious mind's capacity for healing.Support the showThis podcast is sponsored by The Northern College of Clinical Hypnotherapywww.thenortherncollegeofclinicalhypnotherapy.com
Prepare to have your understanding of CFCs completely transformed. In this eye-opening episode, Dr. Thomas Lodi challenges the conventional medical model by explaining why cancer should actually be called "chronically fermenting cells" (CFCs) - a term that accurately describes what's happening in the body rather than using misleading astrological terminology.Dr. Lodi takes us deep into the cellular biology of cancer, revealing how cells switch to fermentation when they lose approximately 50-60% of their mitochondrial function due to cumulative toxic exposure. This adaptive response isn't something to attack but to understand as the body's intelligent survival mechanism. The conventional approach of cutting, burning, and poisoning completely misses the underlying cause and often makes matters worse. With passionate clarity, he explains why removing tumors without addressing the toxicity that caused them is like cutting apples off a poisoned tree and expecting healthy fruit next season. Drawing from research published in Seminars in Cancer Biology, he demonstrates how conventional treatments can paradoxically promote tumor relapse and metastasis by enhancing the survival of cancer stem cells. The path to true healing begins with eliminating toxins through biological dentistry, fresh juice cleanses, and restoring balance to all body systems. Dr. Lodi shares practical guidance on optimizing vitamin levels, balancing thyroid function through proper iodine intake, and supporting the immune system naturally. This regenerative approach creates an internal environment where chronically fermenting cells can either return to normal function or be properly eliminated.Ready to reclaim your power in the healing journey? Dr. Thomas Lodi delivers a transformative perspective on healing that challenges the very foundations of conventional medicine in this eye-opening episode. Instead of using astrological terminology like "cancer," Dr. Lodi refers to these conditions as "Chronically Fermenting Cells" (CFCs) - a term that accurately describes what's happening in the body at a cellular level. From his 21 years of experience at Oasis of Healing in Arizona, Dr. Lodi shares why his approach differs fundamentally from both conventional and many alternative practitioners. While his clinic offers similar modalities to other integrative centers (ozone therapy, vitamin C, etc.), the crucial difference lies in properly implementing these treatments within a comprehensive plan that addresses why the body produces CFCs in the first place. This focus on prevention and sustainable healing sets his methodology apart in a field where recurrence is all too common. The episode takes a serious turn when Dr. Lodi discusses the troubling pattern of truth-tellers in medicine being silenced. Using careful language, he references numerous physicians who practiced integrative medicine and faced severe consequences for challenging mainstream narratives. His passionate call for collective resistance against medical censorship reminds listeners that "we are the elephant" - the 99% who have the power to refuse going where we're led.Dr. Lodi masterfully deconstructs medical terminology around conditions like ulcerative colitis, IBS, and SIBO, revealing how conventional medicine creates complicated classification systems that obscure simple truths about health conditions. These conditions, he explains, fundamentally represent dysbiosis - an imbalance in the microbiome - rather than discrete "diseases" requiring pharmaceutical interventions that merely suppress symptoms wiSend us a text Join Dr. Lodi's Inner Circle membership and unlock exclusive access to webinars, healthy recipes, e-books, educational videos, live Zoom Q&A sessions with Dr. Lodi, plus fresh content every month. What do you think of this episode? Do you have any topics you'd like me to cover?Conflict is normal - but it often escalates during teenage years because our kids are trying to assert their own wishes, and probably aren't very skilled at it.As parents, it's easy to fall into classic conflict traps if we don't have the skills for resolving disagreements. In this episode we talk about the key techniques we can use - and teach - to ease tension and bust-ups at home and elsewhere. What's even better is that by learning techniques for being assertive - and listening until everyone feels understood - we can turn conflict into a positive that deepens our relationships and creates lifelong bonds of understanding.LUFU technique (Listening Until Fully Understood)Conflict Resolution Techniques, Assertive Communication * O - Objective description of behavior * F - Feelings expression * A - Effect on relationships * Pausing and listening strategiesMy Substack:https://teenagersuntangled.substack.com/p/good-parenting-starts-with-your-values?r=2u24i0Blog:https://www.teenagersuntangled.com/blog/Conflict-management-skills/RESOURCES:An excellent book: Making Great Relationships by Rick Hanson Websites used:https://raisingchildren.net.au/teens/communicating-relationships/communicating/conflict-management-with-teenshttps://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/00224545.1994.9923015 https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0891524502883249Other sources of help:https://www.family-action.org.uk/what-we-do/children-families/familyline/https://www.keycharity.org.uk/help-and-support/resolve-family-issues/http://www.familylives.org.uk/https://www.relate.org.uk/get-helphttps://www.nationaldahelpline.org.uk/OtoZen — a new driving safety appAre you worried about your teenager getting distracted behind the wheel? The forgotten power of iodine takes center stage in this enlightening exploration of thyroid health, immune function, and holistic healing approaches. Dr. Thomas Lodi reveals why this critical mineral deserves far more attention than it receives in conventional medicine, explaining how iodine deficiency undermines not just thyroid performance but our entire immune response. Most people living in iodine-deficient regions unknowingly suffer as their thyroid glands substitute bromide, fluoride, and chloride for missing iodine molecules, creating structurally similar but functionally impaired thyroid hormones. This substitution goes undetected in standard blood tests yet wreaks havoc throughout the body. The solution? A year-long restoration protocol using 25mg of iodine daily, paired with natural thyroid support to prevent temporary hypothyroidism during the transition.Beyond iodine, Dr. Lodi dives deep into his comprehensive approach to what he terms "chronically fermenting cells" (CFCs) – a more empowering and accurate description than cancer. By understanding these cells as fermenting rather than mysterious invaders, patients gain a clear path forward: create an internal environment where these cells cannot thrive. This reframing transforms the healing journey from one of fear to one of purpose and control. The connection between parasites and chronic illness emerges as another crucial piece of the healing puzzle. Dr. Lodi shares specific anti-parasitic protocols combining medications like ivermectin, fenbendazole, and niclosamide with proper liver support supplements. These treatments extend beyond parasite elimination to potentially impact chronic conditions through multiple mechanisms, highlighting the interconnected nature of body systems.Whether you're struggling with thyroid issues, chronic illness, or simSend us a text Join Dr. Lodi's Inner Circle membership and unlock exclusive access to webinars, healthy recipes, e-books, educational videos, live Zoom Q&A sessions with Dr. Lodi, plus fresh content every month. What do you think of this episode? Do you have any topics you'd like me to cover?Smartphones can be massively problematic in the hands of the young, mainly because of what kids can access through them. Social media can have a magnetic pull for adolescents who're trying to figure out their identity and fit in, meanwhile predators are well aware of the various access points provided. So are there any positives? Is it even justifiable to give our kids a smartphone, and at what age is it suitable? My teens have very kindly agreed to chat openly about their experiences, both the good and bad, to give us parents a chance to think through our own approach. We now know so much more now about the issues phones and social media raise, and I hope this conversation helps you by reducing guilt and encouraging you to engage with the issue by thinking clearly about your own values and the individual children you have. NOTE: My daughter has been diagnosed with ADHD, which is why she has strong opinions on the subject. In this episode we explore the pros and cons of social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, with one of my daughters explaining why Snapchat is particularly stressful due to streaks and friendships. https://www.teenagersuntangled.com/snapchat-a-fantastic-way-to-connect-or-a-cynical-exploitation-of-your-teenagers-time/What comes through clearly is the importance of parental involvement, setting boundaries, and understanding the impact of social media on mental health and friendships. We give you the good and bad: From predator problems, self-image issues, political echo chambers, misinformation, AI and a lengthy digital footprint, sleep issues, and stress... To opportunities for minorities to find support and perspectives that differ from those in their school, ways to find role models, language to describe their experiences, creative outlets and ideas about fashion and style. What do you think of this episode? Do you have any topics you'd like me to cover? When things go wrong at school parents are bound to feel stressed, wanting the problem to be resolved as soon as possible. But - in the UK at least - the current complaints system is "working for no one", according to the Government's Education Secretary.Jason Elsom, CEO of charity Parentkind, says there's been a surge in parental complaints, that are being amplified via WhatsApp: Quoted in The Times“We are seeing a tsunami of parental complaints. It is never right to name and shame a school or engage in a WhatsApp pile-on, but schools need to make sure they have thought through how they engage parents to nip issues in the bud.”The charity Parentkind found in a poll of 2,000 parents that 38% had filed a formal school complaint in the past year, with the total number of complaints exceeding five million in just one year.Common areas of concern included bullying, student safety, school discipline and behaviour policies, homework, and teacher conduct.Elsom says says Parents are under enormous pressure with a cost-of-living crisis and ever increasing challenges at home, which sometimes spills over into the classroom, with parents complaining to schools about what they are hearing from their children and on WhatsApp groups.“Meanwhile nearly two thirds, or 65%, of school leaders say parental complaints increased during the 2023/24 academic year in a survey by UK and Ireland law firm Browne Jacobson. Nine in 10 (90%) believe complaints-handling is having a detrimental impact on staff wellbeing, with other knock-on effects cited including the quality of education being delivered (53%) and staff retention (48%).Melanie Sanderson, GOOD SCHOOLS GUIDE: https://www.goodschoolsguide.co.uk/SOURCE: https://www.brownejacobson.com/BrowneJacobson/media/Media/education/SLS-findings-Spring-2024.pdfOtoZen — a new driving safety appAre you worried about your teenager getting distracted behind the wheel? The humble mineral iodine might be the most overlooked yet critical component of your health puzzle. Dr. Lodi takes us on a deep dive into why this forgotten element deserves our attention, explaining how iodine deficiency undermines thyroid function and consequently weakens our immune system. Most of us are walking around with suboptimal iodine levels due to depleted soils and diets lacking in sea vegetables. The consequences? Our thyroid glands substitute other halogens like fluoride and bromide when creating hormones, resulting in molecules that measure as T3 and T4 but lack the biological activity necessary for health. "If you don't have a healthy thyroid, you won't have a healthy immune system. It's impossible," Dr. Lodi emphasizes, highlighting the fundamental connection between these systems.Restoring proper iodine levels requires a thoughtful approach - typically 25mg daily for at least a year. This restoration process creates a paradox where supplementing with iodine can temporarily suppress thyroid function, requiring simultaneous support with natural thyroid hormones. The medical establishment's puzzling "iodophobia" has created unnecessary fear around therapeutic iodine use, despite its historical safety record when properly administered.Beyond iodine, Dr. Lodi addresses practical questions about parasite protocols, vertigo treatment, and the mechanics of ketogenic diets. He explains the difference between dizziness caused by dehydration versus inner ear disturbances, offering specific solutions for each. His discussion of chronically fermenting cells (CFCs) provides a refreshing perspective on cancer, emphasizing the body's innate healing capabilities when properly supported.Throughout the conversation, Dr. Lodi reinforces the value of community support for healing journeys. What do you think of this episode? Do you have any topics you'd like me to cover? How we parents manage technology in our homes, and what we put in the hands of our kids, has turned into one of the most hotly debated topics amongst parents and experts. In this episode, I talk to Dr. Lucy Foulkes, Oxford academic psychologist and author, about social media's role in adolescent mental health, challenging the narrative popularized by Jonathan Haidt and exploring why phones and social platforms aren't the universal villains they're often made out to be. Dr Foulkes has a fascinating take on mental health and whether our well-intentioned conversations around the subject, especially in schools and on social media, might have gone too far; creating confusion or even anxiety for parents and young people. If you want a nuanced, evidence-based discussion that will help you support your teen with more confidence and less fear you've found it.Dr. Lucy Foulkes: BooksWhat Mental Illness Really Is (…and what it isn't) Coming Of Age: How Adolescence Shapes Us,Website: https://www.lucyfoulkes.com/Book recommended: The End of Trauma by George BonannoIt's important not to pathologize normal adolescent struggles. Not all teenagers have mental health problems. Most are resilient and functioning well. All distress should be taken seriously, not just clinical disorders.Increased mental health awareness only helps if there is proper back-up and support for those who really need it.Mental health terms are often misunderstood. Words like “OCD” are often used casually, diluting their meaning and making it harder for those with real disorders to be understood and supported. The narrative that phones and social media are causing a mental health crisis is oversimplified and often exaggerated (as in Jonathan Haidt's work). Parental engagement and open conversations matter. The best approach is to guide teens in managing technology, set consistent family rules, and model healthy behavior, rather than banning devices or demonizing their use. Both online and offline experiOtoZen — a new driving safety appAre you worried about your teenager getting distracted behind the wheel? What if everything you've been told about treating chronic conditions is fundamentally flawed? Dr. Thomas Lodi challenges conventional medical wisdom by demonstrating that the body functions as one interconnected system, not isolated parts that can be treated separately. This revelatory approach transforms our understanding of cancer—which Dr. Lodi refers to as CFCs (chronic, confirmed cells) to remove the fear-inducing language that suppresses immune function. The cornerstone of true healing begins with comprehensive detoxification. Dr. Lodi explains that we accumulate toxins throughout life until they reach a critical mass that causes mitochondrial dysfunction in cells, forcing them to switch from respiration to fermentation. His recommended protocol starts with a three-week vegetable juice cleanse combining celery, cucumber, kale, spinach, lemon, and apple—providing complete nutrition while facilitating deep cellular cleansing.Biological dentistry represents another crucial element often overlooked in conventional treatment. Teeth exist on meridians connected to specific organs, and problems like root canals or cavitations can directly impact distant body parts. Dr. Lodi shares remarkable cases where addressing dental issues resolved cancer in corresponding organs, emphasizing the importance of working with IAOMT-certified biological dentists who use proper ozone irrigation and platelet-rich fibrin techniques.Perhaps most surprising is Dr. Lodi's assertion that everyone harbors parasites—most undetected because they're too small or haven't been identified by medical authorities. His antiparasitic protocol combines medications like ivermectin, benzimidazoles, niclosamide, nitazoxanide, and antifungals in three-week cycles, producing remarkable improvements in energy, mental clarity, and overall health even in people wiSend us a text Join Dr. Lodi's Inner Circle membership and unlock exclusive access to webinars, healthy recipes, e-books, educational videos, live Zoom Q&A sessions with Dr. Lodi, plus fresh content every month. In this final episode of the Whiteness as Shape-Shifter series, Maureen turns the finger inward. From the loudness of fascism to the subtle betrayals of liberalism, this series has traced how whiteness hides and adapts. Here, the focus is on the most difficult terrain: the reflexes that live inside the body, the mind, and the spirit.Drawing wisdom from Audre Lorde, bell hooks, Paulo Freire, Richard Brody's reading of Sinners, and Octavia E. Butler's Wild Seed, Maureen asks: what has to die inside me for me to evolve, to transform, to transmute? The episode is inspired by Annie's devastating choice in Sinners as a metaphor for radical boundaries, while weaving in ancestral and feminist lineages where shapeshifting is not sinister, but sacred. Diedra Barber reminds us that patriarchy and white supremacy stole this gift of the goddess—and that reclaiming it is a return to power-with, not power-over.This conversation is not about shame, but about practicing transparency, vulnerability, and love as acts of liberation. This week's reflection:What does my body do when I'm protecting whiteness? What part of me feels like it will die if I don't?And what might be born in me if I let that part go?When discomfort rises—in parenting, teaching, art-making, activism, or healing—how do my somatic cues shape my choices? This episode is a closing invitation to pause, notice, and reclaim the sacred power to shapeshift—not to disappear, but to appear more fully in alignment with love, accountability, and collective liberation.Support the showThis episode was created with deep love, and deep thanks to the frameworks and tools within Cultivating Intersectional Leadership, a course I co-created with Diedra Barber. Despite how common this phase of life is, few resources exist to help parents navigate the transition from authority figure to trusted ally. *Research shows that about one in four American adults—27%—report estrangement from a family member. Notably, 26% of adult children have experienced estrangement from a father, compared to only 6% from a mother—and many of these rifts eventually heal.We discuss why adult children might cut ties with parents, and what we can do now—while our kids are tweens or teens—to build a strong, lasting relationship. We cover:The most common reasons adult children become estranged from their parentsThe key mistakes parents make (and how to avoid them)How to adapt your parenting style as your children grow into adulthoodThe impact of parental expectations, grief, and cultural pressures on family bondsPractical strategies for fostering trust, open communication, and unconditional loveReal-life stories of reconciliation and hopeCatherine Hickem brings decades of experience working with thousands of families, offering actionable advice and heartfelt encouragement.CATHERINE HICKEM:https://www.parentingadultchildrentoday.com/https://www.instagram.com/parentingadultchildrentoday/Research sources:A longitudinal U.S. study (Reczek et al.), Cornell's Fault Lines project, and the YouGov poll conducted in 2022. What if everything you've been taught about healing chronic disease is completely backwards? In this eye-opening episode, Dr. Thomas Lodi challenges conventional medical wisdom by presenting a simpler, more fundamental approach to health restoration that begins not with complex interventions but with thorough detoxification. The conversation tackles one of medicine's biggest blind spots: the connection between parasitic infections and seemingly unrelated chronic conditions. Dr. Lodi explains how strongyloides can persist in the body for decades, affecting multiple organ systems, while schistosomiasis often underlies squamous cell carcinomas of the bladder. These revelations prompt us to question whether we're treating symptoms while missing root causes.Central to Dr. Lodi's philosophy is the understanding that the body possesses remarkable healing intelligence when given the opportunity to function without toxic interference. He details a practical approach starting with extended vegetable juice cleansing (3-8 weeks minimum), coupled with colon cleansing to facilitate elimination. This foundational step must precede any targeted interventions, whether for parasites, chronically fermenting cells (what conventional medicine calls cancer), or autoimmune conditions. The discussion challenges popular dietary approaches, explaining why humans thrive on raw, uncooked plant foods consumed within limited time windows. Dr. Lodi references migration studies showing that disease patterns follow cuisine rather than genetics, underscoring how cultural conditioning has disconnected us from our nutritional instincts. His perspective offers a refreshing alternative to the increasingly complex world of specialized diets and supplement protocols.Beyond physical interventions, Dr. Lodi emphasizes the spiritual dimension of healing—Send us a text Join Dr. Lodi's Inner Circle membership and unlock exclusive access to webinars, healthy recipes, e-books, educational videos, live Zoom Q&A sessions with Dr. Lodi, plus fresh content every month. The medical establishment has conditioned us to accept diagnoses as answers, when they're merely descriptions of what's happening in our bodies. "Severe ulcerative epithelial dysplasia" sounds impressive, but it only tells you that cells are changing shape, not why it's happening or how to resolve it. This descriptive approach serves the medical billing system perfectly while leaving patients without true understanding of their conditions.During this illuminating session, we explore the fundamental misconception driving modern healthcare: the military paradigm that something must be targeted and eliminated. Whether discussing tongue lesions, cervical issues, or persistent fungal infections, the same principle applies – these aren't invaders to fight but symptoms of imbalance to correct. Your body isn't being attacked; it's adapting to its environment. What conventional medicine calls "cancer," we recognize as chronic fermenting cells – cells that have lost mitochondrial function and shifted to fermentation for energy production. This process changes their form and function, but regardless of where it occurs in the body, the underlying mechanism remains the same. The medical establishment simply names the condition based on location, creating the illusion of distinct diseases requiring specialized treatments. The path to healing begins with cleansing – a minimum three-week juice cleanse consisting primarily of fresh vegetables – followed by restoration of essential nutrients like vitamins A, C, D, E, melatonin, and iodine. Almost everyone is iodine deficient unless they regularly consume sea vegetables, affecting thyroid function and overall metabolism. After cleansing, eating uncooked plants in their natural state within a 4-6 hour window each day supports ongoing health.Perhaps most crucial is abandoning fear-iSend us a text Join Dr. Lodi's Inner Circle membership and unlock exclusive access to webinars, healthy recipes, e-books, educational videos, live Zoom Q&A sessions with Dr. Lodi, plus fresh content every month. Mini-series Part 3: The Shape-Shift of Good Intentions Still White at the CoreIn this episode, Maureen moves the lens from pointing the finger outward to turning it inward, tracing how whiteness shape-shifts inside us, softening edges, pleasing, and protecting the status quo even when wrapped in the language of justice.Drawing from Angela Davis, bell hooks, James Baldwin, Stokely Carmichael, and Ibram X. Kendi, Maureen examines the ways “good intentions” can mask white supremacist logic, and how liberalism often trades transformation for comfort. With help from Diedra Barber's insights on how patriarchy and white supremacy have co-opted the sacred, feminist, and ancestral art of shapeshifting, Maureen challenges listeners to reclaim that power, not for compliance but for connection, accountability, and liberation. The film Sinners returns as a metaphor for assimilation's hidden cost: the invitation that drains your soul while appearing generous. This episode is a call to notice where you have adapted yourself to fit systems, and to choose shapeshifting as a tool for survival, integrity, and transformation instead. This week's reflection:Where do I shape-shift to maintain comfort rather than create change? What have I been taught by white supremacy and patriarchy that I am ready to transmute? How can I use the power to shift as a practice of accountability, care, and liberation?Support the showThis episode was created with deep love, and deep thanks to the frameworks and tools within Cultivating Intersectional Leadership, a course I co-created with Diedra Barber.
