Do you ever feel underpowered? Do you find yourself frustrated with all kinds of things you can't change about yourself, others, or in the circumstances around you? The Bible teaches we have a power source that's powerful beyond our wildest imagination. It's called the power of the Holy Spirit. What is the nature of that power? And how can we tap into it? That's what we'll discuss this Sunday in the third installment of our in-depth study of the Holy Spirit.
In Part 12 of his series on Ephesians, Rabbi Schiller looks at the Power of the Spirit and the importance of sustained prayer, obedience, and meditation on how wide and high and long and deep is Messiah's love for you.

On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week, Dr. Paul Weaver took us on a trip through time and showed us how biblical archaeology continues to confirm the accounts of scripture and strengthen our faith. Lt. Col. Dave Grossman his insights on how to make our families stronger and “bulletproof” them from the damaging outside influences. Then Dr. Everett Piper joined us to rebut the claims of a popular podcaster that the church is filled with hypocrites. Todd Hampson was back to the talk about the last days and the rapture. The nightly news can make it appear as though the gap between Muslims and Christians is insurmountable, but Fouad Masri, founder of The Crescent Project says that is not so. He gave us practical guidance for building connections with Muslims that create opportunity to share the good news of Jesus with them. It is time for another examination of the headlines of the week through the lens of scripture.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
This week we're reading the texts for Pentecost with Acts 2:1-21 and Philippians 4:4-7. We ponder the connections between Christian Pentecost and Jewish Shavuot, both commemorating the establishment of a new relationship with God following an act of dramatic liberation. We notice the democratization of the Holy Spirit in this text, which pours out on all people, so that everyone—young and old, male and female, rich and poor, of all languages and cultures—become prophets and visionaries of the kingdom of God. And we linger over the idea that the Spirit brings not only cataclysmic change to the world but also a deep peace that passes understanding, inviting us to engage the world with gentleness even as God's kingdom is breaking into the world.
Otha and LaRonna Turnbough share how to live a true Book of Acts lifestyle and why healing, deliverance, and miracles are still available to us today. (J2790_FFT)

Because of what is true of us in Jesus, we no longer stand condemned, are adopted into the family of God, and can live according to the Spirit.
What does it look like to truly live in the power of the Holy Spirit? In this message, we explore Ephesians 1:19–20 and the incredible truth that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in us as believers. Looking through the Book of Acts, we discover four clear marks of a Spirit-empowered life and how they still apply to us today. First, a Spirit-empowered life is transformed from the inside out. It's not just about feeling encouraged, but experiencing real conviction, growth, and a willingness to be shaped by God. This inner work leads to visible change—devotion, reordered priorities, and a lifestyle that reflects Jesus in everyday decisions. Second, we see a life marked by courage. Ordinary people, filled with the Spirit, began to live boldly. This kind of courage isn't the absence of fear, but the evidence that faith is speaking louder than it. Third, we learn to expect God to move. When faith and courage come together, expectation is born. The early church didn't just believe in God—they prayed with boldness and trusted Him to act. Finally, a Spirit-empowered life multiplies. What God does in us is never meant to stay with us. As lives are changed, the message spreads, and more people come to know Jesus. This message will challenge you to examine not just what you feel spiritually, but how you live consistently. Because the power of the Holy Spirit isn't just something we talk about—it's something we're called to walk in every day.
Everyone is called to 'go!' How can we prepare the way for others to encounter Jesus. The God of mission has a church, he asks us to step into this mission. How can we do this? Find our people? Where is our part? A practical guide to go out in the power and authority of Jesus.
On this episode of Day by Day, our journey through Romans, Dr. Clif explains that while the law reveals our need for transformation, only the Holy Spirit can truly change our hearts from the inside out. "Interested in becoming a devoted follower of Christ?" Go to follow.lifeword.org

“Are you going to return the same way you came, or are you going to return in the dunamis of God?” In this message from the Spiritual Authority – Restored In Christ sermon series, Chad Everett walks through Luke 4 and reveals how Jesus modeled spiritual authority through the power of the Holy Spirit. After confronting temptation in the wilderness, Jesus did not return the same — He returned in the power of the Spirit, operating with both dunamis (miraculous power) and exusia (authority and jurisdiction). This teaching shows how Jesus responded to temptation with the Word — “It is written” — choosing truth over the lies of the enemy that often come through thoughts and feelings. From there, we see Jesus teaching in the synagogue, rebuking unclean spirits, healing sickness, and demonstrating that spiritual authority is not theoretical, but active and practical. Chad also challenges the Church to guard against familiarity and religion that dulls spiritual hunger. The goal is not entertainment or information alone, but training — equipping believers with skill to walk in the authority Jesus restored through the Holy Spirit. This message is a call to return differently — not in human strength, but in the power and authority God has made available to every believer. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein,2 for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place?4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully.5 He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.Psalm 24:12 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.Hebrews 12:2THE CROSS WAS NOT EASY FOR JESUS.Endure: to suffer patientlyTHE AGONY OF THE CROSS WAS WORTH IT BECAUSE THE REWARD OUTWEIGHED IT.THE REWARD THAT OUTWEIGHED THE CROSS FOR JESUS WAS PEOPLE.When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, 2 since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. John 17:1-318 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[b] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”Matthew 28:18-20The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein,Psalm 24:1“We don't bring God into culture—God is already there, calling it home.”Leslie Newbigin DECLARING > CONVINCINGWe are called to announce good news, not argue people into belief.5 For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants[c] for Jesus' sake. 6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.2 Corinthians 4:5-62 And Paul went in, as was his custom, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, 3 explaining and proving that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus, whom I proclaim to you, is the Christ.” 4 And some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did a great many of the devout Greeks and not a few of the leading women. Acts 17:2-42. STEWARDSHIP > OWNERSHIP3 for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way? 4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not being merely human?5 What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. 8 He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. 9 For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building.1 Corinthians 3:3-93. THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT > THE POWER OF METHODSNot by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.Zechariah 4:62 For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, 4 and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men[c] but in the power of God.1 Corinthians 2:2-5
The Church did not begin with a plan. It began with a prayer. In this series through the Book of Acts, we follow the earliest followers of Jesus, ordinary people transformed by His love, united by His mission, and empowered by His Spirit. This is the story of how the Church was established and how the movement continues through us today.

In this sermon, we look at Jesus' words that reveal what genuine love for Him looks like and how true obedience becomes possible. These two themes—The Evidence of Love and The Power to Obey—show us that following Christ is not something we do in our own strength, but through the transforming presence of the Holy Spirit.Key Points: 1. The Evidence of Love 2. The Power to ObeyThis message calls us to examine our hearts, rest in God's grace, and rely on the Spirit who empowers us to walk in faithful love and obedience to Jesus.

The Spirit's power isn't just for signs and wonders. It's for obedience, endurance, and mission.
This week we landed in Mark 14:53–72. Here we see Jesus stand firm in the face of lies and injustice. He speaks truth, endures suffering, and stays on mission to save sinners—because He knows the end: every knee will bow before Him. We, like Jesus, need to use Scripture to see clearly the truth of our circumstances. Look to the end. Scripture is truth. We are not alone in our struggle to bear witness in a world that hates us. Do not be shocked—endure by the power of the Spirit.

Today's episode of The Pastorate looks a little different. Instead of our typical format where Jason interviews a guest, we're pulling back the curtain on our Lead Pastors Fellowship and inviting you into a conversation that Pete Hughes, pastor of KXC London, had with our cohort participants during one of their monthly Zoom sessions. We're sharing it here because it speaks directly into the cultural moment we find ourselves in, and because applications for the next round of the Lead Pastors Fellowship open next month. In this conversation, Pete Hughes unpacks the “quiet revival” taking shape across the global West, especially among Gen Z, and what courageous, Spirit-led pastoring looks like in this season. He names why many are rejecting secularism both intellectually and experientially, and why this surge of spiritual openness demands bold, clear invitations to follow Jesus.Pete invites pastors to imagine what courageous and Spirit-dependent leadership looks like in a cultural moment hungry for more. This conversation wrestles with how to speak with clarity in contested spaces, how to shepherd both skeptics and seekers, and how to walk at a pace that can endure renewal. It points to a vision of ministry that pairs bold invitation with deep formation, offering hope for leaders who long to see Jesus meet people with power and presence. Stay tuned until the end of the episode as Pete concludes the conversation with a prayer for Canadian pastors.Show NotesKing's Cross ChurchPete's InstagramFall City MeetupsLead Pastors FellowshipThe Pastorate Listener SurveyFall 2025 Pastors Retreat at Barnabas LandingPartnersThe work of strengthening pastors across Canada is only possible because of generous partners like you.
