Paul Blair is a former Chicago Bear and the founder of Liberty Pastors, a network of over 2,500 pastors across the country who have completed a three-day worldview training camp designed to equip them on subjects most churches never touch: economics, civil government, and human sexuality. His core argument is simple and pointed — if we say Jesus is Lord of all, why are there subjects we're not supposed to preach about? Brian From talks with Paul about the Liberty Pastors Training Camp coming to the Hilton Chicago Oak Brook Hills Resort July 27-30, where pastors get three nights at a luxury resort, 20 hours of continuing education from historians and speakers including Tim Barton of WallBuilders, and practical next steps for equipping their congregations to navigate the world they're living in. The cost to pastors is just $99 for what amounts to a $2,000 value. Every single pastor who has attended has said they wished they'd brought friends. What would happen if a nation actually acted like its foundation was God?In this July 4th message, Foundations, Pastor John Huseman walks us back to America's beginning and shows how our founding fathers built this nation on prayer, fasting, and dependence on God. Drawing from Psalm 11:3, Psalm 35, and Isaiah 58, and pulling from original documents, letters, and prayer proclamations preserved by WallBuilders, this sermon reveals how deeply woven Jesus was into the fabric of America's origin, and what that means for the way we live and pray today. In this message, you'll discover:-Why the First Continental Congress opened with a two-hour prayer session-What God spoke to our founding fathers through Psalm 35 as they went to war-The 1,400 prayer proclamations issued by our government between 1774 and 1815-What George Washington wrote across 250 wartime letters about the miraculous hand of God-Why fasting and prayer are still the spiritual weapons God has given every one of us today

Here is a detailed breakdown of the July 5, 2026, worship service and Pastor Rhonda Davis's message, organized with clear section headers, bulleted highlights, and a complete Scripture Index. Service Overview & Pre-Sermon Highlights Location: Church of the Harvest (TL Lowry Center) Special Occasion: Independence Day Weekend & America's 250th Anniversary Celebration I. Praise, Worship & Altar Ministry Opening Prayer: The service opened with a focus on celebrating both national freedom and the ultimate freedom found in Christ, inviting the Holy Spirit to fill the room. Miracle & Prayer Focus: Believers were invited to join their faith with the prayer teams at the altars to see God work miracles, declaring that every need must bow to the name of Jesus. Underground Church Reflection: Preachers reminded the congregation of the immense privilege of public worship, noting that members of underground churches globally meet in secret and worship with unprompted passion despite the threat of death. II. Sovereign Moves: Recent Testimonies Pastor Rhonda invited members to share their recent experiences from the unique altar ministry lines held the previous week: Tina Toles: Shared that despite initial fear and hesitation to step into the prayer line, she experienced an overwhelming, unprecedented power of the Holy Spirit that left her with a deep, lasting peace throughout her work week at Chick-fil-A. KK (Mrs. Smith): Expressed that after a period of being away from church and feeling like she was simply "floating" through life, stepping into the line brought an immediate sense of peace. Pastor Rhonda ministered to her, saying, "God said, I am yours," validating a real, physical encounter with the Holy Spirit. III. Harvest Announcements Wednesday Night Series: Summer in the Psalms continues this Wednesday at 7:00 PM at the TL Lowry Center, featuring Pastor Joe Robinson teaching from Psalm 139. Next Sunday Guest Speaker: Welcoming back Lori Wilke, an anointed speaker, singer, and author with a deep prophetic teaching edge. Community Outreach Impact: Pastor Rhonda thanked the church for its continued financial stewardship, highlighting recent works funded by tithes and offerings: reaching the homeless, jail/prison ministries, assisting single mothers, and completely covering the rent for a local family in dire straits. Special Presentation: 250th Celebrate Freedom Tribute Led by Army Veteran Michael Cook (who served 10 years stateside), the service paused to honor first responders and military veterans present in the congregation: Veteran / First Responder Branch / Conflict Bob Rumbaugh U.S. Army (Gulf War) & Naval Reserve (3 Years) Ralph Steven Beavers U.S. Army Zachary Wages U.S. Army Kit Carson Local Firefighter / First Responder Dale Perkins U.S. Air Force Michelle Hill U.S. Navy James Henry U.S. Army (Staff Sergeant) Liliana Henry U.S. Army (Private First Class) Presentation of the Colors: The United States flag was formally presented by Tina Toles, a retired Master Sergeant who served 21.5 years in the U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command, with deployments to Japan, Turkey, Germany, and Italy. Tribute Video: A special media presentation featuring interviews with church children and reflections on "American Grit," the founding fathers, and the constitutional right to pursue happiness was highlighted and credited to Austin and the media team. Sermon Outline: "Freedom Worth Celebrating" Preacher: Pastor Rhonda Davis I. Point 1: Land of the Free, Home of the Redeemed The Odds of Grace: Statistically, based on global birth rates, an individual has only a 2% to 3% chance of being born in the United States. A Beacon of Light: Over its 250-year history, America has outlasted its accusers, remaining a democracy through civil war, internal discourse, and external enemies. The nation historically leads the world in sending Christian missionaries to foreign sands and outspends the next three runner-up nations combined in global disaster relief. The Call to Stand: Reading from Galatians 5:1, the church is reminded that Christ sets us free for the purpose of living in actual freedom. Believers must actively choose never to be entangled again by a yoke of spiritual slavery. II. Point 2: Freedom Has a Price The Winter of 1777 (Valley Forge): To understand the value of freedom, Pastor Rhonda recalled General George Washington leading 12,000 under-resourced men into Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, after devastating defeats. 2,000 soldiers died from cold, starvation, and disease. Out of sheer desperation, men boiled their shoe leather for sustenance and left trails of blood in the snow from bare, frostbitten feet—yet they refused to surrender because they believed freedom outweighed personal comfort. The Cost of Spiritual Liberty (Calvary): Moving from Valley Forge to the hill of Calvary, Jesus Christ endured the ultimate price for human liberty. As prophesied in Isaiah 52:14, He was beaten beyond human recognition. Though He possessed the immediate power to call down 10000 angels (Matthew 26), He chose to stay on the cross because He determined our freedom was worth the price. III. Point 3: Two Freedoms, One Source Inherent Human Dignity: True liberty—both the civil freedom to vote and live without government interference, and spiritual freedom—stems from a singular source: God Himself. Because God is free by nature, and because humans are uniquely made in His image (Genesis 1:27), every individual possesses inherent, sacred dignity. The Living Room Jail Cell: Quoting Galatians 5:1 from The Message, Pastor Rhonda warned against trying to add legalism to grace. Living a restricted, legalistic life after being saved is equivalent to being liberated from a maximum-security prison only to build a voluntary jail cell right inside your own living room. IV. Point 4: Don't Go Back to Chains Guarding Against Apathy: History shows nations are rarely conquered by sudden external conquest; instead, they fall through internal apathy and gradually forgetting what it cost to obtain their liberty. Pastor Rhonda recalled a WallBuilders podcast interview by historian David Barton featuring a Washington State pastor who had to sue the government in 2020 because secular establishments were permitted to stay open while churches faced criminal misdemeanors for outdoor worship and singing. Identifying Modern Chains: The enemy constantly attempts to lure believers back into old bondages. These chains manifest as: Rehearsing past failures on a continuous mental playlist. Slipping back into toxic, generational family mindsets. Trapping oneself in people-pleasing loops and performance mentalities. Prophetic Deliverance: Pastor Rhonda shared a personal moment from her youth when minister Billy Burke gave her a word detailing a "ball and chain" around her ankle representing the conditional expectations of others. Breaking that chain requires standing firm—derived from the Greek word stekete, meaning to stubbornly hold your ground, defend your position, and completely refuse to be moved. V. Point 5: How to Steward and Stand Firm in Liberty Know What You Have: You cannot properly steward what you do not understand. Taking inventory of spiritual rights reveals that there is zero condemnation for those in Christ (Romans 8:1), sin is no longer your master (Romans 6:14), and the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives inside you (Romans 8:11). Pastor Rhonda referenced a 2022 table talk discussion with Lance Wallnau and Cindy Murdock, recalling Wallnau's story of Donald Trump in 2015 challenging silent ministers to defend their biblical rights, which later resulted in the executive repeal of the restrictive Johnson Amendment. Use Freedom for Something Greater: Freedom is never the final destination; it is simply the vehicle. According to Galatians 5:13, liberty must never be used to satisfy selfish, sinful natures, but rather to serve one another in love. The sacrifices of past generations are dignified when we use our voices to speak truth with grace and act as the hands and feet of Jesus to help the homeless, the prisoner, and the vulnerable. Let the Holy Spirit Lead: Believers must maintain an open mind to how God wants to uniquely deploy their skills, influence, and talents across different seasons of life. It does not require unusual human ability to shift the world—only a caring heart, a determined mind, and a willing spirit. VI. Conclusion: Intercession for the Land The Command to Pray: Aligning with 1 Timothy 2:1-2, the church corporate is called to make supplications, prayers, and intercessions for all people, explicitly including kings and all secular authorities, so that believers may lead quiet, peaceful, and godly lives. A Promise of Healing: God is not finished with America. Relying on Lamentations 3:23 (His mercies are new every morning) and the covenant promise of 2 Chronicles 7:14, the church closed by corporate prayer, repenting of negative mindsets, asking for systemic healing from the White House to the communities, and calling a wayward generation back into their divine identity. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend—it is a sacred invitation to remember. In this special episode of the Raising Godly Girls Podcast, Natalie Ambrose welcomes Tim Barton of WallBuilders to explore the deeper meaning behind Memorial Day and how Christian families can approach patriotism with both gratitude and responsibility. In a culture where love of country can sometimes feel politically charged or divisive, this conversation offers a balanced, Biblically grounded perspective on Christian citizenship. Together, they reflect on lessons from America's history, the faith convictions that shaped our nation's founding principles, and why the freedoms we enjoy today were purchased with profound sacrifice. Tim shares practical ways families can honor fallen military heroes this Memorial Day weekend—helping daughters understand that freedom is not merely a right to enjoy, but a responsibility to steward with humility, courage, and compassion. As parents, we are shaping the next generation of women who will live as citizens of heaven while engaging faithfully in their earthly communities. This episode will equip you to raise girls who are grateful for liberty, mindful of sacrifice, and committed to living out their faith with conviction and grace. Today On The Eric Metaxas Show, Eric talks with Tim Barton of WallBuilders about the Christian roots of America's founding, the real meaning of separation of church and state, the forgotten role of John Adams, and why modern historians have distorted the story of 1776. They also discuss George Washington, Samuel Adams, George Whitefield, the Boston Massacre, and why America's liberties cannot be understood apart from the God given rights the founders believed in. Did the Founding Fathers actually want Christianity out of government, or is that the biggest historical lie ever told? Pastor Josh Howerton sits down with Tim Barton of WallBuilders to go straight to the original documents: the Aiken Bible endorsed by Congress, Jefferson's original draft of the Declaration of Independence arguing against slavery, the prayer proclamations of John Hancock, and the letter that gave us the phrase "separation of church and state." What you were taught in school and what the primary sources actually say are two very different things. This conversation doesn't just rewrite the narrative, it goes back to the original sources to recover what was always true. From the Marxist roots of revisionist history to the founding fathers' forgotten anti-slavery legacy, this episode will challenge everything you thought you knew about America's founding. In this episode, you'll learn: Why Congress endorsed and recommended the Bible to the inhabitants of the United States What Thomas Jefferson's original draft of the Declaration actually says about slavery, and why it was removed What "separation of church and state" really meant and where the phrase actually comes from Why the founding fathers quoted the Bible more than any other source in their writings How Marxist ideology deliberately rewrote American history, and why it matters for Christians today Stand firm. Think biblically. Live free. Check out Tim & David Barton's Book The American Story: https://a.co/d/00SL8cDf
[Nehemiah 6:15-16] So on October 2 the wall was finished—just fifty-two days after we had begun. [16] When our enemies and the surrounding nations heard about it, they were frightened and humiliated. They realized this work had been done with the help of our God. Rebuilding the wall was not ______________. [2 Chronicles 7:14] Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. Turning from our sin comes before God's ______________. [Nehemiah 10:28-29] Then the rest of the people—the priests, Levites, gatekeepers, singers, Temple servants, and all who had separated themselves from the pagan people of the land in order to obey the Law of God, together with their wives, sons, daughters, and all who were old enough to understand— [29] joined their leaders and bound themselves with an oath. They swore a curse on themselves if they failed to obey the Law of God as issued by his servant Moses. They solemnly promised to carefully follow all the commands, regulations, and decrees of the Lord our Lord. If we want God to bless us then we need to make some ______________. Personal ______________ of God's truth must be the goal of any spiritual change. [Matthew 7:24-27] “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. [25] Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won't collapse because it is built on bedrock. [26] But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn't obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. [27] When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.” True commitment to God means ______________. [2 Chronicles 16:9] The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. What a fool you have been! From now on you will be at war. The depth of our commitment determines our ___________.
In the midst of political and social upheaval, Erick Stakelbeck sits down with Tim & David Barton, the founders of WallBuilders, to discuss America's past and the continued fight to hold on to the values that have made this country great. The Bartons stand at the forefront of change, advocating for teaching history grounded in facts, documents, and research. They lay bare the depth of our country's 250 years of history and the influence Christianity, and the Bible have had on it all. But trouble may loom on the horizon with the rise of radical ideologies from gender madness to Islamic influence. It's evident that the battle for our great nation continues. They share stark warnings about protecting our constitution, holding fast to the truth of our history, and speaking out against antisemitism. The conversation also dives into: The truth behind the founding fathers Marxist leaning in modern education Christianity's influence on America's fundamental years The upcoming 250th birthday of the United States Throughout this captivating conversation, one message stands out among the rest - America is the greatest force for good! [Nehemiah 2:19] But when Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem the Arab heard of our plan, they scoffed contemptuously. “What are you doing? Are you rebelling against the king?” they asked. 20 I replied, “The God of heaven will help us succeed. We, his servants, will start rebuilding this wall. But you have no share, legal right, or historic claim in Jerusalem.” When you serve God, there is going to be ______________. [Matthew 5:11-12] “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. [12] Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way. Whenever you are doing something good, you will be ______________ and ______________. [Nehemiah 4:7-9] But when Sanballat and Tobiah and the Arabs, Ammonites, and Ashdodites heard that the work was going ahead and that the gaps in the wall of Jerusalem were being repaired, they were furious. [8] They all made plans to come and fight against Jerusalem and throw us into confusion. [9] But we prayed to our God and guarded the city day and night to protect ourselves. Instead of giving in, Nehemiah chose to find new ______________ and determination through faith in God. [Romans 8:31] What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? _____________ should come from the Lord rather than you. [Nehemiah 4:14-20] Then as I looked over the situation, I called together the nobles and the rest of the people and said to them, “Don't be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!” [15] When our enemies heard that we knew of their plans and that God had frustrated them, we all returned to our work on the wall. [16] But from then on, only half my men worked while the other half stood guard with spears, shields, bows, and coats of mail. The leaders stationed themselves behind the people of Judah [17] who were building the wall. The laborers carried on their work with one hand supporting their load and one hand holding a weapon. [18] All the builders had a sword belted to their side. The trumpeter stayed with me to sound the alarm. [19] Then I explained to the nobles and officials and all the people, “The work is very spread out, and we are widely separated from each other along the wall. [20] When you hear the blast of the trumpet, rush to wherever it is sounding. Then our God will fight for us!” Our God will ______________ for us.
Tim Barton (WallBuilders) joins Pastor Josh McPherson with the most explosive history lesson you'll hear all year. In this raw, on-location episode filmed one block from the White House, they unpack the REAL Black Robe Regiment — the pastors who literally won the American Revolution. You were lied to in school. Jefferson wasn't a godless deist. Lincoln's story is twisted. And the Founding Fathers quoted the Bible 40-50% of the time. Pastors didn't just pray — they preached revolution, raised militias, fought with hymn books as ammo, and wrote the Bill of Rights.Tim reveals:• The pastor who ripped off his black robe mid-sermon to reveal a Continental Army uniform• The “Fighting Parson” who loaded muskets with Isaac Watts hymnals and said “Give 'em Watts, boys!”• The 50-year-old Yale pastor who stood alone on a hill firing at the British and told the officer, “I'm practicing my right of war!”If you're a pastor, father, or patriot who wants to understand why America exists and what's at stake right now, this is required listening.Support the showThanks for listening! [Nehemiah 2:1-4] Early the following spring, in the month of Nisan, during the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes' reign, I was serving the king his wine. I had never before appeared sad in his presence. [2] So the king asked me, “Why are you looking so sad? You don't look sick to me. You must be deeply troubled.” Then I was terrified, [3] but I replied, “Long live the king! How can I not be sad? For the city where my ancestors are buried is in ruins, and the gates have been destroyed by fire.” [4] The king asked, “Well, how can I help you?” With a prayer to the God of heaven, Don't get discouraged when things don't happen on our __________________. All you need is 20 seconds of ____________ ____________. [Nehemiah 2:5-8] I replied, “If it please the king, and if you are pleased with me, your servant, send me to Judah to rebuild the city where my ancestors are buried.” [6] The king, with the queen sitting beside him, asked, “How long will you be gone? When will you return?” After I told him how long I would be gone, the king agreed to my request. [7] I also said to the king, “If it please the king, let me have letters addressed to the governors of the province west of the Euphrates River, instructing them to let me travel safely through their territories on my way to Judah. [8] And please give me a letter addressed to Asaph, the manager of the king's forest, instructing him to give me timber. I will need it to make beams for the gates of the Temple fortress, for the city walls, and for a house for myself.” And the king granted these requests, because the gracious hand of God was on me. [Proverbs 21:5] Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty. You can accomplish great things when your _____________ is greater than your _____________. [Matthew 17:20] “You don't have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.” God opened the door and Nehemiah had the ____________ to step through it. [Isaiah 40:31] But those who wait for the LORD's help find renewed strength; they rise up as if they had eagles' wings, they run without growing weary, they walk without getting tired. Pray and plan while you __________________ ___________ on God.
[Nehemiah 1:1-4] These are the memoirs of Nehemiah son of Hacaliah. In late autumn, in the month of Kislev, in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes' reign, I was at the fortress of Susa. [2] Hanani, one of my brothers, came to visit me with some other men who had just arrived from Judah. I asked them about the Jews who had returned there from captivity and about how things were going in Jerusalem. [3] They said to me, “Things are not going well for those who returned to the province of Judah. They are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem has been torn down, and the gates have been destroyed by fire.” [4] When I heard this, I sat down and wept. In fact, for days I mourned, fasted, and prayed to the God of heaven. Without ____________ you are vulnerable to your enemies. [Proverbs 25:28] A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls. [2 Corinthians 10:5 ESV] We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, [Colossians 3:2 CSB] Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. God wants us to ____________ the walls in our life. Knowing and applying ____________ ____________ is what will enable us to guard our heart.
