Waffle On about Duel Welcome to our first episode of 2025 and we start off with the first film directed by Mr Steven Spielberg. This was a made for tv film and incredibly successful, so much so that Steven filmed three more scenes to make it a feature film and be available on cinemas around the world. Waffle On about Legend Welcome to this edition of Waffle On in which Meds and Kell talk about this 1985 Ridley Scott fantasy film Legend. Yes there is no Tom Hardy in this, just a Tom Cruise.  We cover the European version of this film but do talk briefly about the two other versions and have a treat right at the very end for those who stay till after the credits.

Waffle On about Re-Animator Its October and that means a Halloween 1985 treat so here we bring you Re-Animator starring the wonderful Jeffrey Combs. Its only an 86 minute film but its packed full of fabulous physical special effects and make up. Waffle On about Weird Science Another jump down the 1985 memory lane with this hit teen comedy from John Hughes. Its certainly of its time but wowzers it was a fun film to talk about.  The lads first catch up on what they have seen at the cinema and on tv and then jump into this comedy.  Meds and kell also tease about an event they may be involved in next year so stay tuned.

Waffle On about Lifeforce Oh this episode is a corker, its a divisional episode and its two against one becaue we have a special guest. We last saw him wearing a kilt and swinging a sword during our Highlander episode, well this time Mr David Ray is more sensibly dressed yet still full of passion. Kell is in agreement, Meds, not so much which of course makes great content.  Patrick Stewart pops up in this along with some great effects (for its time) and a naked woman wondering around kissing people to death. He adores this movie, and so does Meds. Kell however has other feelings.  Roger Moore stars in his final adventure in the tux, he looks a bit ropey bless him but we love the old spy and he bows out with some dubious stuntmen and some even more dubious face lifts. Waffle On about National lampoons European Vacation Hello and welcome to January 2024 and the first epiosde of twelve waffling on about 1985. Yes this was the year that Meds and Kell met and wow, what a year for films. Waffle On about The Golden Voyage of Sinbad Its Christmas time and its part 12 of 12 celebrating 1973.  What a film to end on, this classic was always shown (here in the UK) either on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day. Its a bit dubious in parts in todays standards which is why it doesnt get shown much nowadays which is a shame. In 2022 Spike Milligan's family opened up his archive to selected guests – and what an archive it is! Hundreds of tapes, film rolls, scrapbooks, photographs, unpublished novels & scripts, box files and albums, much of it meticulously documented and annotated by Milligan himself, including bound volumes of family history, wartime journals and assorted paraphernalia covering his earliest childhood memories right up until his final years. Sky Arts filmed a documentary which originally aired in December last year where viewers saw the likes of Joanna Lumley, Ian Hislop, Eddie Izzard and Sarfraz Manzoor (as well as former Goon Pod guests David Quantick and Al Murray) nosing around this treasure trove. Spike's whole life is under the spotlight, from his early days in India to his underwhelming introduction to a Britain of fog, cold baths and terrible food, a world away from what he'd been used to; the wartime highs and lows (a whirlwind romance, being blown up); The Goon Show; his marriages and children; his post-Goons career on television; his campaigning and activism; his books, poetry, music and much more. Joining Tyler is Simon Meddings - Meds - from Waffle On podcast – a trailblazer in terms of telly and film review podcasts and certainly one of the few to have covered such diverse topics as School For Scoundrels, Fight Club and Donald Sinden! Its a stunningly good film full of suspense and cravats. Waffle On about Vic Reeves & Bob Mortimer Hello and welcome to our Christmas edition and its a bumper bonus episode full of fun and Waffles. On this episode Meds and Kell chat away about two of their favourite comedians (and light entertainers) Vic and Bob. They hit our screens back in the late 80's and our two Wafflers were in sixth form at school at the time (and nothing seems to have changed in their childish minds) so it left a lasting impression.  Along with the main topic of chat the lads talk about the new Avatar film, some recent movie news and they read an email from our resident man in the asylum Rob K.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all. 

Waffle On about Robbery (1967) Hello and welcome to this months bag of Waffles in which Meds and Kell talk about this brilliant under rated film Robbery. Waffle On about Event Horizon Its our 2022 Halloween special and what better way than a bit of classic 90's Sci-Fi Horror. This film amazingly bombed at the cinema but found its audience via video and later DVD's. It a good old gory film but gory in the right places. Starring Laurence Fishburne and Sam Neil this film really does tick the boxes for a good old Halloween viewing.  Meds and Kell also talk about the latest Dr Who episode, Star Trek and a strange tv series on Netflix called 28 days Haunting, its so bad its good..... kind of.  Happy Halloween.
