Send us a textRaise your pineapple cups and join us for our milestone 52nd episode celebration! We've come full circle by revisiting the Lapu Lapu from Tambu Lounge at Disney's Polynesian Resort - the very first drink we featured when our Disney cocktail adventure began one year ago. With 52 Disney drinks under our belts, we're sharing our definitive rankings of the best and worst beverages across the parks and resorts. The Ottawa Apple from BaseLine Tap House earned unanimous praise as our top pick, while the Lapu Lapu, Cold Brew Martini, and surprisingly delicious Angry Bloody Rancor all made our favorite five list. Not every Disney concoction impressed us though - we didn't hold back our opinions on disappointments like the Mint Julep (which we both agreed was forgettable) and the Sunspot that made our faces pucker "like we were eating Lemon Heads."The most fascinating revelations came from drinks that completely surprised us, like the PB&J Cocktail from TuneIn Lounge that sounded bizarre on paper but delivered unexpectedly delightful flavors. We also shared our bucket list beverages we're still eager to try - including the theatrical Uh-Oa! from Trader Sam's with its fire ritual and the intriguing La Cava Avocado featuring fresh avocado and hibiscus salt rim.Our year of Disney drinking has taught us valuable lessons about our preferences too. Aaron gravitates toward sophisticated sipping cocktails where you can truly taste the quality spirits, while Christy discovered her love for Disney's creative martinis - noting they've yet to make a bad one. Whether you're planning your next Disney vacation or just looking for mixology inspiration, our anniversary episode offers the perfect blend of nostalgia, honest reviews, and tropical rum enjoyment.Have a Disney drink you think we should feature? Send us your suggestions - we'll do the research and drink it for you! Cheers to many more years of Disney cocktail adventures! Here's who we are and what is in store for you

This is the story behind the creation of the Park Hop Athletics Collection by 1923 Main Street and how a single event prompted a whole new way of thinking.Hop. Play. Repeat. This is how the Park Hop Athletics trademark collection was created. When Walt Disney World first opening in 1971, it was a much simpler place. We had one theme park (Magic Kingdom), two hotels (Disney's Polynesian Resort and Disney's Contemporary Resort) and Fort Wilderness Campground. That was it.For over a decade, we had endless fun at this original Walt Disney World. The monorail was as much a part of the whole experience as anything else. But when Disney acted to complete one of Walt Disney's final project dreams, a second park finally opened in 1982 (in fact, it was 11 years to the day: October 1, 1982).1982 Was the Year When Park Hopping Became a ThingWhen EPCOT opened as Disney World's second park, something else happened: park hopping suddenly became a reality for Walt Disney World visitors. Now, your amount of fun doubled, because you could hop from one park to another on your vacation on the same day, if you paid for the privilege. And with that, park hopping officially became part of the Disney World vacation lexicon.Being a part of this formative period in Disney World history is what led Mike Belobradic to create the Park Hop Athletics™ collection at 1923 Main Street®. Park Hopping is Fun and Has Benefits, but it isn't for Every Disney TravelerOf course, nowadays, park hopping is much more ingrained into the Disney travel experience – plus you have four theme parks that you can potentially hop between. But one thing hasn't changed: park hopping isn't for everyone. Cost aside, it does take a little stamina and will to want to park hop at Walt Disney World. Many years ago, Disney resort hotels used to present you with a special paper certificate if you managed to hop between all four Disney World parks in a single day. They no longer do this (perhaps because it isn't as big of a challenge any more, given more transportation options), but still, four parks in one day is as much a part of the park hop experience as is two parks on the same day.Park Hop Athletics™ by 1923 Main Street®: Inspired by the Magic of Park HoppingThe 1923 Main Street Park Hop Athletics Collection was inspired by that first park hop experience back in 1982. With a variety of designs that celebrate the ability to Hop. Play. Repeat.™ at Walt Disney World, Park Hop Athletics clothing is truly steeped on this longtime rite of passage. The Park Hop Athletics Collection by 1923 Main Street is comprised of graphic t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies that feature a wide range of authentic original designs, perfect for anyone who loves to take part in this time-honored Disney World tradition. In fact, if you combine rope dropping with park hopping, you can truly make the most of your Disney day. (Read the back story of our Rope Drop Apparel™ Collection here).Within the Park Hop Athletics Collection you'll find graphics inspired by Disney Park hopping in collegiate style, along with unique skateboard and snowboard themed graphics (inspired by the board parks in both sports) and even more themes, including beer and Park Hop Princesses. How's that for a wide range? If Park Hopping is something you love to do, there's a 1923 Main Street Park Hop Athletics t-shirt, sweatshirt or hoodie that's right for you.Shop at 1923 Main StreetThank you for listening to the Disney Travel Style Podcast at 1923MainStreet.com.Shop unique and original Disney-inspired clothing, including t-shirts, sweatshirt, hoodies, dresses, swimwear and more at 1923 Main Street.Follow along on X, Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook.Thank you for listening and have a magical day!Mike Belobradic and Amelia Belobradic--Media provided by Jamendo

Send us a Text Message. It's possible that Disney is looking to build more hotel resorts on the Walt Disney World property. With that in mind, we take a look at some possibilities of what type of resorts they could build. There is land near the Magic Kingdom for building. Does that mean another resort like the Polynesian Resort or will they add their first value resort like Art of Animation or maybe a moderate resort like Port Orleans French Quarter? We'll discuss that and the ideas we have for a new resort. Maybe it's a Beauty and the Beast theme or even Encanto. How about a Frozen or maybe Moana themed resort. As always we want your comments and ideas during this fun conversation! Bryan and his daughter Mia run down their experience at Whispering Canyon Cafe. We start by discussing what we did to get to the Wilderness Lodge from the Polynesian Resort. Taking a Lyft definitely helped with this experience. We then talk about the tremendous lobby at the Wilderness. We talk about visiting the Carolwood Pacific room and looking for Hidden Mickeys while we waited for our table. Its such a great resort with many things to occupy you while waiting. We finally sit down at our table and discuss the shenanigans from the wait staff, the ketchup, the large sodas and eventually get around to the breakfast skillets full of delicious typical breakfast food, but certainly the Mickey Waffles! We finish up with a birthday celebration and how we then moved on to the Animal Kingdom. After our review, Mia goes rogue and wants to talk about Hoop dee doo revue. We discuss some of the fun we had at this experience and the food they served there. Finally, Mia gets around to talking about Ohana and some of the experience we had at dinner. We'll cover the food, the ambience and that we were able to listen to Happily Ever After during dinner. We recorded this episode in Disney World! Living like locals — annual passes, 4 parks in a day, and lots of meandering and "stand-n-stares." Sometimes Ben flew into Florida with his family on the same day that TJ and Melissa were checking out of the Poly. So of course Ben paid a visit to hear about their annual pass adventures without kids. We also get to hear from MJ right after he rode Tron with TJ and Mel. Check out episode 163, by the way...we recorded an entire show with MJ last summer. Lastly...a big shoutout to Melissa for her debut on the podcast! Dapper Mom?? * * * * * *We hope this podcast brings up good memories from your past trips, gets you excited for your next trip, and fills the void in between. Brought to you by TJ, Matt and Landon...and sometimes Ben.Thanks so much for listening! We'll see you on Facebook: DISNEY WORLD IS AWESOMEWe'll see you on Instagram: @disney.world.is.awesomeA Walt Disney World Podcast for Disney fans. Our participants know that the opportunities are endless on the Disney College Program! Just ask our guests, Kendall and Andre. Welcome to season three of our miniseries, where we'll discuss all things about life on the Disney College Program! Andre is a recent graduate from Five Towns College and a park greeter at Magic Kingdom. Andre has dreamed of working for Disney since he was a kid. Meanwhile, Kendall applied for the Program on a whim. Now they're both planning to stay in Florida to continue their careers with Disney! Learn about how they are making the most of their Disney College Program, what it's been like moving away from home, what they love about living in Florida and more.
We've returned from Walt Disney World and we have some fun things to share. We start with some conversation of the type of trip we had and how everyone fit in. This was a trip originated by Tammy and Bryan with their two daughters and Tammy's mom coming along. With a stay at the Polynesian Resort, Mykhailo and Kristin come along and did their best to pretend they were staying there with us. We cover some of this dynamic before we get into the excitement of being evacuated from Pirates of the Caribbean! While in the Magic Kingdom, we were able to get backstage when Pirates went down. It was a great experience and we get into the details of this neat happening. We end up including some of the other troubled ride experiences we had during the trip which leads Bryan and Mykhailo down a rabbit hole about the state of the rides in the parks. We get into discussing some of the financials around Disney+ and the trouble they had with their movies and how this may be effecting the parks. A fun conversation that is one of those typical tangents that we like to go on.We'll get into more of the trip on upcoming episodes, but definitely wanted to talk about Pirates of the Caribbean.Make sure you hit that subscribe button so you know when there are new episodes.Do you want to share your experiences? Do you wish you could stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel for the rest of your life? We do! This week, we take a look at the Disney resorts we would love to live in forever, the resorts we would enjoy one fun night in and the one that we will destroy. We start with the WDW's Value resorts and decide between the All-Stars, Pop Century Resort or Art of Animation. What will we love, enjoy or destroy? There is some interesting discussion here between Art of Animation and the All-Star Resorts. Pop Century seems to be the middle child here. We move on to the Disney's Moderate category and decide between Port Orleans, Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs. This discussion shows that we all have a favorite and we don't seem to agree. We move into the Disney Deluxe Category next. We narrow it down to choosing between the Contemporary Resort, Polynesian Resort or the Grand Floridian Resort. This discussion is where the fun begins. We discuss fireworks views, the restaurants and the sights of these extraordinary resorts. Its hard to choose between these wonderful hotels, but we manage to find away. Finally, we open the discussion up and talk about the three places we would choose if we didn't have limits. Would we still bulldoze the All-Stars, where would we choose to live the rest of our life? It gets a little off the rails, but we have a lot of fun discussing it!Make sure you hit that subscribe button so you know when there are new episodes.Do you want to share your experiences? Disney World And Beyond with The Gold Key Adventurers Society
In this podcast episode, we are joined by a special guest, Cameron Matthews, to recount our remarkable Monorail Pub Crawl escapade at Walt Disney World. The Monorail Pub Crawl is an intriguing journey involving visits to diverse establishments situated within the hotels along the Disney World monorail line. During this adventure, we had the opportunity to savor delectable food and beverages offered at these venues. Commencing our crawl at the Polynesian Resort, our first stop was Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. We soaked in the lively ambiance at the Tambu Lounge before progressing to the Grotto. Notably, the concoctions at this spot were exceptional, with noteworthy recommendations being the lapu-lapu and back scratcher drinks. Moving forward, the next destination was the Grand Floridian, where the Enchanted Rose beckoned. This venue stood out for its sophisticated and elegant setting, coupled with creatively crafted cocktails. This strategic crawl approach advised listeners to initiate our journey with a lunch visit to Steakhouse 71 and conclude at either Trader Sam's or Enchanted Rose to ensure a pleasurable experience devoid of excessive crowds. A focal point of our discussion revolved around the distinctiveness of Trader Sam's as a Tiki bar offering immersive interactions and captivating special effects. This was emphasized as an essential must-visit. Conversely, the versatility of Enchaged Rose, boasting three distinct bars and ample space for numerous patrons, was highlighted. Our narrative featured an array of exceptional experiences at each location, encompassing an assortment of drinks, including some clandestine menu selections. Notably, the culinary offerings at Citrico's and Steakhouse 71 received praise for their excellence. As our conversation neared its conclusion, prospects of forthcoming pub crawls were explored, with notions like a Skyliner Pub Crawl and a Disneyland-based bar crawl surfacing as exciting ideas. The WDW Radio Show - Your Walt Disney World Information Station
WDW Radio # 725 - Wayback Machine to Disney's Polynesian Resort - From the WDW Radio Archives On last night's WDW Radio LIVE show (WDWRadioLIVE.com), I brought you with me to and through Disney's Polynesian Resort for a walking tour at sunset of the grounds and Great Ceremonial House. We also looked at and discussed the construction of the new Disney Vacation Club Tower, and I remarked how the idea of a tower at this location was not something new, but was planned for from the very beginning, as early concepts for Disney's Polynesian Resort featured a 12-story tower before evolving into a more architecturally authentic “village” layout. So in the spirit of aloha and the origins of Disney's Polynesian Resort, I went back into the Archives this week to Show 111, where we boarded my Walt Disney World Wayback Machine and looked at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort through the years... at least up until 2009 when the episode first released. We turned back the clock to a time before Walt Disney World was even a vision in Walt's mind, and look at how his personal interests influenced what would become the model for themed resorts that would follow. We explored the Polynesian Village through the years and looked at some of its additions, changes and lost experiences. It's also interesting to hear how we discussed what the resort was like today (today being 2009), and then speculated as to what the future may hold... or should I say may have held. Were we right?
