"CBS Mornings" hears from one Los Angeles entrepreneur facing tough choices. Lori Vallow Daybell was in an Arizona court Monday to represent herself in a trial involving the killing of her fourth husband, Charles Vallow, in 2019. In her opening statement, Vallow said the evidence will show it was self defense, but prosecutors argued she conspired with her brother to kill Vallow, who had filed for divorce, to collect a $1 million life insurance policy. Two new studies in JAMA Neurology show some diabetes and popular weight loss drugs could help to protect against dementia. CBS News medical contributor Dr. Celine Gounder joins "CBS Mornings" to explain what researchers found. The Florida Gators won their first NCAA basketball title since 2007. Will Richard, who hit four three-pointers in the first half, speaks about the big win, what he'll remember from this season and the next steps in his career. Deja Kelly has turned her platform into a personal brand, but she says having the right support system — from a financial advisor to her "momager" — is key to staying grounded in the new NIL economy. With just days to go before liftoff, Gayle King gets a surprise sendoff on "CBS Mornings" from friends and famous faces including Tom Hanks, William Shatner, Bill Nye and Megan Rapinoe. Blake Lovell, Chris Lee, and Max Barr discuss and rank all 16 SEC teams after Week 1. Topics include: Alabama held off a scrappy Arkansas State team with an unusually bad shooting night from Mark Sears and Latrell Wrightsell. The Tide enter their 8-game non-conference gauntlet on Monday night against McNeese. Arkansas dropped a tough one to Baylor, although key pieces Johnell Davis and Jonas Aidoo are battling injuries. The talent is there, but the shooting remains a concern. Auburn has the best win in college basketball with the incredibly victory over Houston. Tahaad Pettiford looks to be the guard Bruce Pearl has been searching for, and Chaney Johnson has wasted no time stepping in for Jaylin Williams. Florida, amidst heavy scrutiny off-court, have looked the part on-court. Will Richard continues to improve year after year, and the much-needed Sophomore jump from Alex Condon looks to be on track so far. Kentucky has put up 100 points in both games so far, shooting the absolute lights out. Big man Amari Williams has looked like one of the best forwards in the SEC. LSU lost Tyrell Ward for the season but Kansas State transfer Cam Carter has filled the void so far. The first test of the year awaits on Thursday, which will tell us a lot. Ole Miss was taken to the limit by a very good Grambling team, but the front court question marks still remain. Mississippi State has cruised through their first two games, with the new-look perimeter orientated offense shining. Oklahoma only played on Monday against Lindenwood, so not many conclusions can be taken. The Sooners start the season against 4 straight sub-300 ranked KenPom opponents. South Carolina took a lot of heat for losing to North Florida, but that may not be so damning with North Florida beating Georgia Tech. Tennessee impressed with a massive road win at Louisville, with the three headed defensive monster of Zeigler-Mashack-Okpara looking unstoppable. Texas A&M sputtered on the road against UCF without SMU transfer Zhuric Phelps, as shooting still remains a concern. Vanderbilt also cruised through their first week, with a Wednesday matchup against Cal on the horizon. Florida is back in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in three years and capable of a deep run if the pieces fall into place as Todd Golden's team looks to continue the program's Year 2 turnaround. Meanwhile, Jenny Rowland's gymnastics program remains as steady as any on campus and heads to the SEC Championships seeking a three-peat. RETRO RHLSTP #60 - You've Got Mail - We've been recommissioned again for an amazing 19th series and Richard is exhausted from his final attempt to let the world know when International Men's Day is and what are you talking about? He always wears a suit. There's nothing unusual going on. His guest is just some guy from some old sketch show and the first Knight (that says Ni) on the podcast, Sir Michael Palin. Obviously Rich is in awe and on his best behaviour, but that won't stop him bringing up one of Michael's rare career disappointments and nearly derailing everything. But Michael is everything you'd hope for and you can find out what he got paid for his script being used in Sliding Doors, how the Fish Dance went down in North Korea, how Life of Brian might have been Python at its height, the perils of being a mud eater, how Mrs Palin ended up on Saturday Night Live, why Terry Jones was the heart of Python and how this remarkable friendship between writing partners was maintained right to the end. Plus the best impression of Cicero that you're likely to hear. Will Richard end up in the diary and what terrible things will be said about him…? We will have to wait.Monthly badgers - your backstage interview includes Michael ad-libbing a brand new scene for Life of Brian which I would say is worth your monthly subscription to the end of time. So sign up to see this - we don't get many emergency questions on stage, but he did a few in the dressing room. http://gofasterstripe.com/badgesSUPPORT THE SHOW!Check out our website http://rhlstp.co.ukSee details of the RHLSTP tour dates http://richardherring.com/gigsBuy DVDs and Books at http://gofasterstripe.com Become a member at https://plus.acast.com/s/rhlstp. Are either of these films any good? Will Richard and George faint from embarrassment while discussing them? Desperate teams can often be the most dangerous, and for a squad clinging to the bubble as the calendar flipped to February, the Gators grabbed a monster win against 2nd ranked Tennessee on Wednesday, the first signature win of the Todd Golden era. Richard Oliver (of the Chasing Tone Podcast) is back and George just finished his 4th Eddie Murphy movie of the show. Was this a pitch-perfect comedy for George or did it fall flat like that part in Trading Places that Dan hates? This one is all over the place, with deviations to discussions of Kimba the White Lion, Slumdog Millionaire and Animal House. It was a great time. Will Richard quit the show when he figures out that we are not watching Coming 2 America? Did George catch the Trading Places call-back? Is Travis's spray bottle sufficiently sized for Richard's preference? Did Dan just geek out over a Simpsons' scene... again? Richard Oliver, from the Chasing Tone Podcast, returns to discuss one of his favorite 80s Science Fiction classics. George hasn't seen The Fly. In fact, he hasn't seen the old one, either. Heck, he hasn't seen Jeff Goldblum in anything since Jurassic Park (and hasn't seen that movie in years!) He wasn't ready. Oddly enough, Dan hasn't seen The Fly either. He's seen the original from the 50s but held off on watching this until we could cover it for the show. He... also wasn't ready. But for different reasons. Will George make it through the birth scene intact? Do the contents of the medicine cabinet top the beauty of that one effect in the movie Se7en? Is Dan offended or impressed by "the Fly sci-fi but it is AIDS" plot? Will Richard ever watch Leave it to Beaver? Tune in to find out! In this podventure, we discuss the episode “The Battle, Part 2,” in which the tension between Dr. Blackgaard and Richard Maxwell finally reaches its breaking point. Will Richard take one of the many opportunities presented to him to confess his crimes before things escalate? Or will he opt for the loudest, showiest climactic comeuppance in Odyssey history? Give the man a silver dollar! Also, consensus bias, dizzy from all these turning tables, villainous breakdowns, and Applesauce OS confirmed! Plus, that Richard/Lucy conversation? We finally get into it.

What inspired Richard to make the film, how long did it take to make and did he look for permission from the OG's who he features in the film to use their content or did he just go for it? What is life like in Melbourne and Australia right now and how is that shaping Richard's thinking about Bitcoin and the future? How does the land of Surfing and BBQ's really look like from the inside from a Bitcoiners perspective and how can it be 'compulsory' to vote in Australia and still be a 'democracy'? #275 You’ve Got Mail - We’ve been recommissioned again for an amazing 19th series and Richard is exhausted from his final attempt to let the world know when International Men’s Day is and what are you talking about? He always wears a suit. There’s nothing unusual going on. His guest is just some guy from some old sketch show and the first Knight (that says Ni) on the podcast, Sir Michael Palin.Obviously Rich is in awe and on his best behaviour, but that won’t stop him bringing up one of Michael’s rare career disappointments and nearly derailing everything. But Michael is everything you’d hope for and you can find out what he got paid for his script being used in Sliding Doors, how the Fish Dance went down in North Korea, how Life of Brian might have been Python at its height, the perils of being a mud eater, how Mrs Palin ended up on Saturday Night Live, why Terry Jones was the heart of Python and how this remarkable friendship between writing partners was maintained right to the end. Plus the best impression of Cicero that you’re likely to hear. Will Richard end up in the diary and what terrible things will be said about him…? We will have to wait.Monthly badgers - your backstage interview includes Michael ad-libbing a brand new scene for Life of Brian which I would say is worth your monthly subscription to the end of time. Chapter 13 - Conquistadors. It's 7.50am on 21st February 2019 and there is still many centuries of work to be done. But nature is either giving Richard his blessing or spying on him from above, as he does his best to get his job done without being shopped by the Stone Stasi. Is stone clearing the cure for all mental illness? Or is it just adding to the issue? Will Richard manage to hit the stone pole? Will the world be saved from disaster by a contribution to the ditch? How many weeks before the main cairn meets up with the next cairn along? Are stones as precious as gold? Or more precious? All these questions will be asked and not answered in this thrilling episode. Thanks for all the emails. It's very hard to mention everyone who is writing in, but you can join the likes of Brenda Dogbin by contacting Rich at herring1967@gmail.com.
Chapter 11: Frozen Stocean. It's February 2nd 2019 and Hertfordshire has been coated in the gametes of the Ice Gods, trying to thwart ye noble Ftone Clearerf for anofer feafon. Richard has some tips on how to stone clear in the snow, but to be honest, this is first proper go and he's just making it up as he goes along. The stone cupboard that is the ground is frozen shut and yet does that not make the discovery of the odd stone all the more valuable? How many stones did you clear today? So dare you judge a man who has cleared more stones than you? Will Richard meet any of the superstitious villagers or will they be scared away by the white blanket that has enveloped the field? Will he find any ammo and manage to hit the sign post? What will become of the world if he can't find a stone to throw into the ditch to calm the angry snow gods? Etc. No Sparks. After a couple of podcasts for newbies, we go right in to professional level stone-clearing, with a night clear, conducted at the unGodly hour of 6.15pm on November 23rd 2018. Richard's last night stone clear was an amazing success, filled with fear, magic, fire, ice and a huge stone. Will tonight be as successful? Will Richard fall victim to a Night Hawk? Will the dim light of his torch somehow discover treasure? But what is the meaning of treasure? Stone clearing will change your perception of this and also of your own self-worth. It's not just the night that is dark as the podcast continues, it is Richard's heart and mood and for this reason we advise any high-spirited new stone clearers to save this podcast for a time later in their career. Sure it's a profession full of joy, but it's also full of the darkness at the heart of the void that you are exposing via your work. Richard ate his curry with his wife after, and was gay and kept his experiences out in the war against the stones to himself. Only you know how he was really feeling. Only you know what he is attempting. Keep the secret.

Yep, you read that right: Eric Brasure and Richard Goodness are doing The X-Files! Eric is a longtime fan, and Richard has only ever seen a handful of episodes. Hmm… that sounds familiar. Will Richard appreciate the show on its level? Will Eric be able to hold it together during mythology episodes? Is… the truth out ...
Richard Drumm delivers tins of dog food to Donnchadh and Ruairí in the basement and joins the lads for a look back at the year in film. Along the way they discuss movie news and cross swords over The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Will Richard survive...?
RHLSTP #36: Helen and Olly from Answer Me This! - Okapi Sandwich. Richard is bristling from more anarchic behaviour in the swimming pool and pitching ideas for Dragon's Den. His guests are Helen Zaltzman and Olly Mann from rival Sony Gold and Silver (but crucially not bronze) winning podcast Answer Me This. They seem to hold some kind of grudge for Richard having made them his enemies in the old Collings and Herrin podcasts, but as Richard was under the thrall of his Herrin character he can't really remember anything about that. Anyway, it's an old-fashioned podclash! The conversation scales the heady heights of time-travelling genitalia, British Forces Broadcasting and how to get sacked from the Lorraine show. Is semen a powerful cologne? What happens if you fall in love with someone in an oil painting? Has Helen married a ghost? Will Richard be bummed to death by the end of the show and how would Olly's bumming sushi carousel work in practice?SUPPORT THE SHOW!Check out our website and become a badger and see extra content http://rhlstp.co.ukSee details of the RHLSTP tour dates http://richardherring.com/gigsBuy DVDs and Books at http://gofasterstripe.com See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
