Márcia Bechara, enviada especial da RFI ao Rio de Janeiro No último fim de semana de programação, a curadora da Flup2025, Mame-Fatou Niang, trouxe uma reflexão que marcou o festival. Ela lembrou a cena de corpos estendidos depois da operação policial no Complexo do Alemão, no Rio de Janeiro, vistos de cima por um drone, e a "suspensão daquele instante". "Eu vejo exatamente a cena: aquele drone passando por cima de um objeto difícil de identificar, uma linha muito longa. Eu me lembro de ter visto algo que parecia um tapete se desenrolando. E quando o drone se aproxima, eu percebo que cada ‘desenho' daquele tapete era, na verdade, um corpo deitado, colocado entre outros de forma intercalada”, rememorou à RFI. A curadora se perguntou sobre o sentido de propor o reencantamento diante da tragédia, mas não hesitou em manter o tema de 2025: Ideias para reencantar o mundo. “Eu não hesitei. Nós não hesitamos. Ficamos em suspensão… Eu sei que prendi a respiração e me fiz imediatamente uma pergunta: o que significa querer reencantar o mundo estando a menos de dois quilômetros do lugar onde esses corpos estão? O que significa, para uma mãe que perdeu um filho dessa maneira, ouvir que é possível reencantar o mundo? Estar dentro de um ônibus, olhar pela janela e ver nossos cartazes falando sobre ideias que querem reencantar o mundo?” A reposta, segundo ela, foi multiplicar a vontade de afirmar a vida. "Se isso teve algum efeito em mim, foi o de multiplicar minha vontade de fazer, e de afirmar que, apesar de tudo isso, a vida continua.” Niang recordou ainda as crianças presentes na cena: "havia dezenas de crianças, crianças muito pequenas, ao redor daqueles corpos. Eu me lembro de duas coisas: as moscas sobre os corpos e aquelas crianças tão pequenas", disse. E que, mesmo sem saber ler, fossem atraídas por aquelas formas. Talvez perguntassem para a mãe: ‘O que está escrito aqui?' E que a mãe respondesse: ‘Ah, tem um ou dois loucos que acham que podem encantar o mundo.'”, avaliou. Para ela, a Flup é um "quilombo de utopistas": "Utopia não é aquilo que não pode ser realizado — é aquilo que ainda não foi realizado.” Niang destacou as conexões já existentes entre Senegal e Brasil, entre outras diásporas negras. As pessoas aqui do bairro, em Madureira, me lembram profundamente de onde eu venho. Eu reconheci todos os gestos da minha avó. Essas coisas permanecem nas palavras, na língua, na comida, na dança, na forma de se mover, no corpo. Então, para nós, a ideia não é inventar nada novo, mas reacender essas conexões, mostrar os caminhos, os desvios, as surpresas, enxergar como essas práticas foram se transformando aqui. A gente não precisa criar nada — tudo já existe", destacou. Diversidade No encerramento, a curadora da temporada cultural francesa no Brasil, a curadora, Anne Louyot, reforçou a importância da Flup como espaço de revelação da diversidade. “Acho que o Brasil não conhece essa parte das culturas francesas, essa parte negra, afrodescendente.
