3-star quarterback Henry Hasselbeck delivered the good news to MSU before the weekend, becoming the 10th commit of the 2024 MSU football recruiting class. Who did he pick Michigan State over, and what will he bring to the table in East Lansing? And was his visit host also the perfect comparison of how he plays the game? We also get to recruiting notes on Justin Denson, Tra'Mar Harris, Andrew Dennis and more.We are then joined by Chase Glasser of Spartans Illustrated to look at his film room study on Jalen Sami and ponder if MSU can be a top five unit in the conference. Also, will Xavier Henderson's leadership and what he brought to the defense going to be sorely missed, or will the young talent be enough to fill that gap?Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!FanDuelMake Every Moment More. Things discussed: Respect for MSU's academics and history. Respect for MSU's performance at the 1 yard line. Respect for MSU's performance on 4th and 6. Respect for Jacob Slade and Xavier Henderson, who came back vs Wisconsin. Respect for Jayden Reed. They're not moving the ball with him regularly though. More that they're good at lobbing it up. Disrespect for Wisconsin. Respect for the weatherman, who says it will be good throwin' weather. Disrespect for Michigan's schedule thus far, since they gave them a lot of time to red letter this game. Brian: State can (and will) get all the calls, convert all their low-percentage events, and be maximum annoying, but they're not good enough. It's not a slight favorite deal. NCAA's new NIL rules: Any NCAA rule is just a thing that cheating teams get to do. Seth doesn't like the 2nd piece though suspects there's a carve-out you can drive a truck through. Basketball preview: We go around the league and try to find someone worthy of a tourney run. Illinois maybe? Michigan?

IT'S A VICTORY SHOW! MSU football took double overtime to do it, but they downed Wisconsin thanks to a great effort by the Spartans. We start with the offensive stars from Jayden Reed and Keon Coleman to the offensive line that kept Payton Thorne upright for the bulk of the afternoon. We also riff on the defense that had its best game of the season, thanks to having Xavier Henderson, Jacob Slade and Simeon Barrow back and moving Jacoby Windmon back to linebacker. And then...we need to talk about the late-game clock management by Mel Tucker and Co. and the other odd decisions we saw on Saturday.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!SweatBlockIf you or someone you love is experiencing embarrassing sweat or odor try Sweatblock. We've got an actual, live college football game to reach to on this week's Spartan Speak! Detroit Free Press beat writer Chris Solari and Lansing State Journal columnist Graham Couch discuss Michigan State's win over Western Michigan that proved a bit costly, as two key defenders went down with injuries. Plus, we talk about Jacoby Windmon, the offensive line, the wideouts, Mel Tucker calling out (maybe) MSU's nutritional team, and we preview Saturday's game vs. Akron.
Stephen Brooks of 247Sports joins the show for a busy slate of MSU football talk, starting with the injuries to Darius Snow and Xavier Henderson. What impact does this have for the Spartans, and who will step up in each of their spots while they are out? And there's plenty more to talk about from Friday night, from Jacoby Windmon's dominant performance to Mel Tucker now calling his team's play "unacceptable." Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! And lastly Meko and Scotty also recap another terrible loss by the Detroit Lions and try to make sense of where this team goes from here as they sit at 0-8. Like always this episode is full of great moments that you won't want to miss out on!
Tyler and Jeremy talk about who they would like to see added to the league with Kansas crawling, another loss for Kevin Warren, why Tucker didn't answer anything, a little excitement to the MSU secondary and why Xavier Henderson told us who should start at quarterback.
Guests: L.J. Scott and 4* 2018 DB commit, Xavier Henderson.
