Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Jason McGovern, Luke and Marlon as we suffered another home Premier League defeat on Thursday night as Crystal Palace left the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with maximum points after Micky van de Ven's first-half red card changed the course of the game. Igor Tudor was only appointed as a replacement for Thomas Frank three weeks ago, but has lost all three games he has taken charge of and the club are yet to win a league game in 2026, we debate whether the Croatian should be relieved of his duties and the potential emergency options that are available should Spurs look to make a change. We discuss whether these players are still fighting for the Club, or if relegation is inconsequential as they will look to move in the summer. Finally we try and rationally chat on the concern of relegation and whether we can stay in the Premier League. We discuss the size of the game against Crystal Palace and debate the whether it's the biggest game ever, in our recent history of being in the Premier League. We also discuss a crazy last 72 hours in which has seen reports suggest Tottenham using an executive search company to help find the new Sporting Director to work alongside Johan Lange, the Club complaining to both PGMOL and the Premier League following recent treatment in addition to Spurs chiefs reportedly considering taking action against their new Arsenal-supporting scout who has joked he doesn't want to let the badge touch his skin. The Eagles head to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a high-stakes midweek London derby, looking to bounce back from the VAR controversy at Old Trafford. While Palace have enjoyed the upper hand in this fixture recently-including a league double last season-the squad is once again being pushed to its limit. With Spurs winless in their last ten Premier League outings and slipping toward the danger zone, this is a massive opportunity for Oliver Glasner to twist the knife, but he'll have to do it with a severely depleted deckSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/holmesdaleradio.

Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcasters Russ Williams, Marcus Buckland and Luke as we review the north London derby which ended in disappointment. Although Randal Kolo Muani scored his first Premier League goal just two minutes after Eberechi Eze's opener for the visitors, the Gunners scored three unanswered goals in the second half – Eze on target again and Viktor Gyokeres with a brace – to wrap up the win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and repeat the 4-1 defeat they inflicted on us at the Emirates earlier in the season. We debate the genuine alarming concern of relegation from the Premier League and whether interim head coach Igor Tudor can keep Spurs in the Premier League, as we continue to ship goals consistently. Domination Derby: Arsenal Destroy Spurs 4-1 Away from Home as Eze Delivers, Raya Recovers and the Premier League Lead Returns to Five PointsArsenal respond in the only way that matters. After pressure built following Manchester City's win, the North London Derby became more than just another fixture — it became a test of control, intent and composure. And from the opening minutes, Arsenal delivered one of the most dominant performances ever seen at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. We break down the starting XI decisions, the absence of key names, and the early intensity that set the tone. The discussion then moves into the opening goal — Saka's persistence, Eze's sharp finish — and the familiar frustration of conceding immediately after taking the lead. There's an honest assessment of Declan Rice's error, David Raya's positioning, and whether Arsenal are gifting opponents moments rather than being broken down. But this episode isn't about collapse — it's about response. We analyse Raya's in-game recovery, Gyökeres' growing confidence in front of goal, and the structural adjustments that kept Arsenal on the front foot instead of retreating into caution. Timber's contribution, Mosquera's composure, and the subtle tactical shifts in midfield all come under the microscope.Eze's performance is given full attention — his decision-making, positioning, and the wider question of how Arteta has finally unlocked his best role. We also examine the ongoing Trossard debate and what Odegaard's return could mean ahead of Chelsea. The numbers tell their own story: territorial dominance, touches in the box, xG control. But the episode goes deeper than the stats — into mentality, game management, and the standards required in a title race.Part Two features the Matchweek 27 whip-around, where we assess Manchester City's narrow win, Liverpool's controversial late goal, Chelsea's dropped points, and the developing relegation battle. VARse returns with discussion on Forest, City, Palace and the automated offside debate.Arsenal restored the five-point lead. Now the question is whether they can sustain this level of control.Chelsea up next.Chapters:(00:00) - Arteta's Non-Negotiables Intro(00:51) - Line-Up Reaction & “Not North London” Display Debate(03:48) - Early Intent & Fast Start(08:18) - 0-1 | Eze Finishes After Saka's Work(10:46) - 1-1 | Rice Error & Raya Questioned(13:16) - The Longest Half-Time Ever(15:46) - Raya's Save & Regaining Composure(16:47) - 1-2 | Gyökeres Strikes With Authority(18:13) - Disallowed Spurs Goal & Gabriel Controversy(21:22) - 1-3 | Eze at the Double(22:20) - Raya Big Save & Redemption Moment?(24:01) - Saka Injury Concern(24:58) - 1-4 | Gyökeres Seals It Late(28:03) - Match Stats & Dominance Breakdown(31:52) - Trossard Debate & Tactical Adjustments(37:29) - Raya Form Discussion(45:42) - Eze Role Analysis & Arteta Comments(52:34) - PT.2 Whip Around the Grounds (MW27)(59:30) - VARse: Forest, City & Palace Decisions(01:10:56) - MW27 Title Race, UCL Qualification & Relegation Battle(01:18:55) - Closing Thoughts

Been a joy to spend time together with this team 1:15 this is not a job, this is much bigger, it's what we love doing and it can be very rewarding 1:58 He's scored 5 goals in last two games against them and that's extremely difficult to do, he was upset not to start last week 3:00 I love Saka's attitude, how dominant he was in the game. 3:55 Sometimes the coaches and staff need love aswell. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcaster Russ Williams, Compere Richard Cracknell and Marlon as Dominic Solanke scored a stunning acrobatic equaliser as we fought back to force a draw against Manchester City on Sunday afternoon. After a lacklustre first period in which Rayan Cherki had given Pep Guardiola's side an early lead before Antoine Semenyo doubled their advantage just before the interval, it looked like City were heading towards a third straight Premier League win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. But it was a completely different story after the break as we took the game to the visitors, pulling one back when Solanke forced Marc Guehi into an own goal. The England international then produced a moment of pure magic, scoring for the third time in four games with a spectacular scorpion kick to level the scores and give us a vital point. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcasters Russ Williams, Marcus Buckland and Marlon as we suffered late heartbreak in Saturday's London derby as West Ham United struck an injury-time winner. In a typically frenetic derby clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a thumping second-half header from skipper Cristian Romero had cancelled out Crysencio Summerville's early deflected opener for the visitors. But, despite plenty of pressure on the Hammers' goal, we were unable to find the winner and instead, Callum Wilson netted a close-range strike to snatch the points and end their 10-game losing streak. We discuss where this leaves the future of Thomas Frank and whether he can survive this latest London derby defeat and manner of the performance. Marcus Buckland and George Sessions reflect on more boos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after Sunderland struck late on to claim a 1-1 draw after a positive first half for Spurs. Could Thomas Frank have done more with his substitutions? Should Brennan Johnson have been sold? And what is the latest on Fabio Paratici? Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcaster Russ Williams, Marlon and Luke as Ben Davies netted his first Spurs goal for over two years but it wasn't enough to earn us the win as Sunderland hit a late equaliser on Sunday afternoon. The Welsh defender was on hand in the first half to give us the lead on what was his first start of the season – his first goal since scoring in the 4-2 defeat at Brighton on 28 December, 2023. However, the Black Cats levelled with 10 minutes remaining through Brian Brobbey as we had to settle for a point in an entertaining encounter at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The draw in our opening home match of 2026 took our unbeaten Premier League run against Sunderland to 15 matches and leaves us 13th in the table. We also discuss the latest developments of Spurs during this summer transfer window, as Tottenham Hotspur have had an £8million ($10.7m) bid for Santos left-back Souza rejected. The Brazilian side have turned down Spurs' offer for the 19-year-old. Santos are hesitant to accept a bid for the teenager whom they have high hopes for and believe his value may increase in the future. The Lads are back in the capital this week, as we visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time. Can we return back to the wonderful north east with all three points? Host Ricky Sacks is joined by returning guests Luke, Marlon and Mitch Fretton as a spirited fightback fell just short as we suffered a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday evening, finishing the game with nine men in a dramatic and chaotic ending at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Having been reduced to 10 men in the first period following a straight red card shown to Xavi Simons for a challenge on Dutch international team-mate Virgil van Dijk, we conceded twice in 10 second-half minutes to Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike as the visitors made the most of their numerical advantage. But we pulled one back through substitute Richarlison, his fifth career goal against Liverpool, and had the visitors on the ropes for the final stages, only to suffer another dismissal when Cristian Romero was sent off for a second yellow and we couldn't find that equaliser in the closing minutes. Host Ricky Sacks is joined TJ Ramini, Luke and Marlon as we suffered a London derby defeat on Saturday evening as we couldn't recover from conceding two goals in the opening six minutes to Fulham. A spirited second half saw Mohammed Kudus reduce the deficit with his first home goal in our colours just before the hour mark and we created chances to draw level but couldn't convert them, ultimately going down to our fourth home league defeat in seven games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season. This episode on The Lab we took a little detour from our usual look into Tottenham Hotspur culture. We had the chance to sit down with Eddie Hearn and Spurs fan, Commonwealth title holder and British title challenger Sam Gilley. Sam is gearing up for his fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the undercard of Chris Eubank versus Conor Benn 2, so we got into everything around the event, the buildup, the atmosphere, and what it means for him at this stage of his career. Eddie gave us great insight into the promotion side and why this fight matters. It's a different kind of episode for us but a really fun one to record, and a proper look behind the curtain of a big night in British boxing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Will the boys see it differently second time around? Popcorn at the ready as Buncey and Barry Jones rewatch the first fight between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn, which took place back in April at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Did they miss anything watching it ringside, and was the fight even better than they remember?
Tom Allnutt, Marcus Buckland and George Sessions answer listener questions. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcaster Russ Williams, Actor TJ Ramini and Luke as a dramatic finale saw us forced to settle for a point against Manchester United on Saturday afternoon . Trailing to a first-half goal from Bryan Mbeumo and struggling to break down the visitors, momentum totally shifted in the final few minutes after Mathys Tel came off the bench to level it up before Richarlison's glancing touch put us 2-1 ahead in the 91st minute and sent Tottenham Hotspur Stadium into delirium! However, we were denied another victory over United – who we beat in all four meetings last season including that famous Europa League Final in Bilbao – when Matthijs De Ligt headed home from a corner in the sixth minute of stoppage time to leave it all square in a wild finish. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcaster Russ Williams, TJ Ramini and Marlon as we suffered our third home Premier League defeat of the season on Saturday afternoon as Chelsea took the derby soils with a 1-0 win. On what was another disappointing day at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Blues capitalised on a defensive error to score the only goal of the game in the first half as Joao Pedro fired home in the 34th minute. We struggled to respond throughout the contest, managing just the one effort on target while Guglielmo Vicario made a string of good saves to prevent a heavier defeat. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Compère Richard Cracknell, Actor TJ Ramini and Marlon as Aston Villa fought back to take the points with a 2-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon. We made the perfect start when Rodrigo Bentancur fired us ahead just five minutes in and we looked good in the early stages. However, the visitors worked their way back into the game, levelling it up through Morgan Rogers before half-time and then snatching their fifth consecutive victory with an excellent winner from Emiliano Buendia in the 77th minute. They were Villa's only two shots on target in the game. EXCLUSIVE - NordVPN Deal ➼ https://nordvpn.com/lwos ➼ Try it risk-free now with a 30-day money-back guarantee!
