On this episode of On the Merits, Bloomberg Law's Roy Strom spoke with Jennifer Perkins and David Klein, M&A partners at Kirkland & Ellis, the busiest law firm for corporate transactions last year. (born December 1972) is an American cinematographer known for working with director Kevin Smith on the films Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Clerks II, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Cop Out, Red State.Klein, a member of the American Society of Cinematographers, was the director of photography for True Blood on HBO and for Homeland on Showtime. Klein was hired for the latter position beginning with Homeland's third season, taking over cinematographer duties from Nelson Cragg who had served as the series' director of photography for two seasons.In 2020, Klein served as the cinematographer on Season 2, Episode 6 of The Mandalorian, titled "Chapter 14: The Tragedy" which was directed by Robert Rodriguez. I was put on medications such as prednisone and mesalazine to help me manage the disease. Having this disease caused me much physical and emotional distress that helped to lead me to start reading the Bible and becoming a Christian towards the end of 2019. I then researched the writings of Ellen G. White, a Christian lady who lived in the 19th century and received prophetic visions from God in regard to future events such as the two world wars separated by a little time of peace, as well as receiving visions in regards to the correct diet that mankind should be eating. Before I was vehemently anti-vegan but I now understood that in the Bible God originally created mankind to eat a vegan diet (Genesis 1:29) and that this way of eating is the most healthful seeing as this is how He originally designed us. So I decided to go vegan in March 2020 and I prayed to the Lord that He would show me how to heal completely from my ulcerative colitis and come off the medications. This was when I was moved to look at a YouTube channel I used to watch that promoted the carnivore diet and on that channel, I found a video that was bashing "High Carb Health." I actually followed the carnivore diet for some weeks back in 2019 (it doesn't work) but given the information, I had now accepted to be the truth from the Bible and Ellen G. White I could discern that High Carb Health was actually telling the truth in regards to healing from UC. So I decided to start watching High Carb Health's videos and I purchased Dr David Klein's book. I came off of my medications cold-turkey in July 2020 and I studied and followed what was outlined in the book as well as binge-watching the High Carb Health YouTube channel. It wasn't easy but I had faith and trust in God that in the end, I would get better. During the most intense part of the healing phase, I was going to the toilet up to 20 times a day losing pure blood but I hung in there, I understood that my body was going through a healing process and I knew that by the grace of God, my health would be restored. In September 2020 I started drinking pure distilled water which I believe helped alongside the diet and prayer. I had a free consultation with Shamiz about 8 weeks into my healing journey where he just reassured me and encouraged me to continue soldiering on. By November 2020, roughly 4 months after coming off the medications and beginning the healing journey, all bleeding stopped and I was restored to health by the grace of God! Since then I have been able to work full-time and share the health message with the Gospel and I have been absolutely loving and enjoying life! I praise the Lord for the information that High Carb Health has put out there in order to help people like myself and I hope that this testimony would inspire and give hope to anyone who is currently struggling with bowel disease".

David Klein, A.S.C. (born December 1972) is an American cinematographer known for working with director Kevin Smith on the films Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Clerks II, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Cop Out, Red State.[presto_player id=136962]Klein, a member of the American Society of Cinematographers, was the director of photography for True Blood on HBO and for Homeland on Showtime. Klein was hired for the latter position beginning with Homeland's third season, taking over cinematographer duties from Nelson Cragg who had served as the series' director of photography for two seasons.In 2020, Klein served as the cinematographer on Season 2, Episode 6 of The Mandalorian, titled "Chapter 14: The Tragedy" which was directed by Robert Rodriguez. He will also serve as cinematographer on multiple episodes of The Book of Boba Fett.
