Here we are...ready to close out what has been a remarkable journey for us all - but mostly the three of us. We had a company meeting and came to the conclusion that this was as far as we felt we could go with this narrative. While we have loved doing this together as well as for all of our faithful listeners, we knew it was time to move on. What better way than to end with reflections on our amazing trip to Hawaii together! So this final episode will share some of that time with you but will also put a nice button on the stories we told about our beloved Whiting, Indiana. We hope you've enjoyed this time as much as we have. We thank you. We love you and look for us in another form on this platform down the road - because you know we have many more stories to share and we also don't know how to shut up - like ever. Aloha! Our hosts share a myriad of food experiences and not only share some of those with you - childhood, travels, favorites etc. but they bring in the celebrated writer, Gayle Kosalko. Gayles column - Cook of the Week - in the Northwest Indiana newspaper, The Times, was always a column we looked forward to - especially if our hosts were the cooks or knew the cooks and usually they did! Hear about memories of favorite foods in their homes as well as what they hide in the back of the pantry now that our producer is just hearing about...hmmmmm. As our guest reminds us, "People who cook don't cook for themselves - they cook for others".
