Happy 2025! For our first episode of the new year, we're setting you up with 5 tips to KEEP those New Year's Resolutions. Let's go!
As the new year approaches, many people focus on setting resolutions or goals for the coming year. But this time is also a great time to reflect on how things went for you this year. In this episode, we break down how to do an athlete self-assessment to recap your year, and how to use that to help you set goals for the future. If you'd like to do your own self-assessment, here are the questions we suggest: 1. GOALS - What were my goals? Were they reasonable? Did I meet them? - Do I still care about this goal? - What factors played a role? 2. TRAINING - Were you consistent? - What plan did you use and did it work? - What were your strengths? - What can you improve on? (THIS is a great place to start thinking about base-building goals) - What type of training did you like most? When did you have the most fun? - What type of training did you dread or avoid? 3. LIFE - Did you have any major life changes/events this year? - How balanced did you feel? - How did you navigate this balance - Any periods you'd want to shift/reconsider in future years? - Any races or distances you'd want to shift/reconsider in future years? This is just a start! For more on goals, check out Ep 122: The Life-Changing Magic of Writing Down Your Goals: https://youtu.be/ZvTdrLgYFyc
