But, if you're like many runners I know, pre-run coffee often leaves you with jitters or stomach issues. That's why I was so excited when I found Nandaka by Pique—the ultimate coffee alternative designed to power your runs, your training, and your recovery. So, what makes Nandaka different? Most so-called “coffee alternatives” don't actually provide functional energy. But Nandaka is built for endurance Unlike coffee, which spikes your energy and leaves you crashing mid-run, Nandaka fuels you with steady, sustained endurance—no spikes, no crashes, just clean energy that lasts. Nandaka provides its caffeine from fermented probiotic teas, which provide a slow-release caffeine that prevents jitters and gives you sustained release for those long runs workouts. It also contains cordyceps mushrooms, which help boost VO2 max, delivering more oxygen to your muscles for better endurance Plus, the probiotic teas mean no digestive distress like you often get with coffee. If you're tired of running on fumes—or worse, running on coffee crashes—it's time to make the switch. Right now, Pique is offering 20% off for life AND a free Starter Kit with your first purchase. Go to Piquelife.com/run and start running on real energy today. Your legs, your lungs, and your PRs will thank you

The week starts quietly enough - or does it? Now that Venus is moving forward, and we've passed through the full moon window, the signs all point us toward action. Midweek, Mercury recently moved out of retrograde and sprints into Aries, a sign of bold actions and forward momentum. Then there's Mars, who has been in the sign of Cancer for a long while and is moving into Leo, a sign more to his liking. (This is another sign that we're moving forward.)Lastly, as we head into the weekend, the Sun makes his way into Taurus. So, while it is not a wild week, the week ahead holds some promise for making strides in our lives. Get your running shoes on!
150 years ago, electricity was added to mechanical products to make them better. It ushered in the era of the automobile and was described as the Second Industrial Revolution. We're now experiencing a second revolution: adding intelligence to common products to make them better. And this intelligence is coming for your running shoes. Avelo is pioneering the world's first truly smart running shoe: one that measures motion over time, so you can determine how your body experiences impact and how your form degrades as you fatigue. This is game-changing: imagine knowing when you've over-extended yourself. Imagine knowing the exact moment that your form deteriorates during a workout or long run. The insights on injury resilience, technique, training load, and how you respond to different types of training stresses are incredible. Joining me on this episode is the CEO of the company, Royi Metser. I've been personally working with Royi on Avelo for nearly two years on its coaching platform and have signed on as an adviser and investor. I'm all-in because of how transformative this unique technology can be for runners. If you want to learn more, sign up here for their pre-launch list and you'll be the first to know when their Super Trainer is released. Thank you 2Before! We are supported by 2Before, a powerful sports supplement made from New Zealand Blackcurrants designed to increase endurance, manage inflammation, support immunity, and promote adaptation. 2Before helps to boost performance by increasing blood flow, making it more efficient for the body to pump oxygenated nutrient-rich blood into the muscles. So, if you want to try to boost your performance and immune system, use code JASON for 30% off 20 packs and multi-serve packs at 2Before.com. Thank you to 2Before for supporting Strength Running! Thank you Previnex! After resisting most supplements for the better part of my life, I'm cautiously changing my tune. I'm now a Masters runner and in my personal life, I'm optimizing for longevity. I want to be my healthiest self for as long as possible and I'm excited to partner with Previnex to make that happen. Previnex uses the most bioavailable, clinically tested ingredients, the optimal form and dose of each ingredient, pharmaceutical grade manufacturing, testing of raw ingredients and finished products. For every purchase you make, they also donate vitamins to kids in need. Their new Muscle Health Plus is something I'm now taking. Turning 40 – and having a thin frame – has made me realize that I need to prioritize lean muscle mass to stay healthy and age well. Muscle Health Plus has creatine, essential and branched chain amino acids, and it's designed in a way to maximize protein synthesis and the absorption of amino acids. Muscle Health Plus will help you prevent muscle damage, which is particularly important for aging runners who want to protect themselves from muscle loss and recover faster after hard workouts. As is true for all of their products, Previnex adheres to the highest of standards: their ingredients are clinically proven to do what they say they're going to do. They're now offering international shipping so if you live in the UK, Canada, Australia, or anywhere around the world, you can try Previnex as well. Previnex offers a 30-day money back guarantee. If you don't feel the benefits of their product, you get your money back no questions asked. With their focus on quality and customer satisfaction, I hope you'll try it! Big Idea: You can't buy running shoes for your hands and knees.1 Corinthians 3:1-91. Only babies crawl on hands and knees 1 Corinthians 3:1-4For my part, brothers and sisters, I was not able to speak to you as spiritual people but as people of the flesh, as babies in Christ. I gave you milk to drink, not solid food, since you were not yet ready for it. In fact, you are still not ready, because you are still worldly. For since there is envy and strife among you, are you not worldly and behaving like mere humans? For whenever someone says, “I belong to Paul,” and another, “I belong to Apollos,” are you not acting like mere humans?2. Are you walking with God if you're still crawling?1 Corinthians 3:5-9What then is Apollos? What is Paul? They are servants through whom you believed, and each has the role the Lord has given. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So, then, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God's coworkers. You are God's field, God's building.Next Steps: Believe: I want to start my walk with Jesus today.Become: I need Jesus to help me deal with some worldly ways this week. Be Sent: I will work with God to push back darkness this week.Discussion Questions: Rate your spiritual maturity on a scale of 1-10. What would it take for your maturity to grow by 1 point next week? What mark of spiritual maturity are you working on right now? What role do your efforts play in your spiritual maturity? What roles does the Holy Spirit play in your spiritual maturity?Since you're God's field, what kind of crop is growing in your heart right now? Explain your answer. Pray for the Holy Spirit to grow your faith more this week.

The Boston Marathon is next month, but women weren’t officially allowed to run in it until 1972. Officials said it would shock a woman’s body to run more than one and a half miles at a time! In 1966 one woman began to change all that by sneaking into the race wearing her brother’s shorts and a new pair of men’s running shoes since they didn’t make them for women until a dozen years later. But Bobbi Gibb’s finish time was outstanding.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

If you have a high arched foot that is prone to getting stress fractures, a podiatrist may have told you that you need cushy running shoes. I got a question from someone who was given that advice. She said, “I am so confused, I thought stress fractures were from pounding. I got a stress fracture, and my doc said it was my cushy shoes. I do not understand how this is true.” How do cushy running shoes cause stress fractures in the foot? Well, that is a great question and that is what we're talking about today on the Doc On The Run Podcast.

The running boom has brought lots of changes, but which of these new trends are actually good for the sport? The RC team is bringing you another underrated or overrated episode focusing on trends in running, and we're bringing on coach Ruairi to answer questions like: Are running clubs a better way to meet people than dating apps? Should every running shoe have a carbon plate? Is too much data from running watches a good or bad thing? How RC coaches feel about the trend of “rawdogging runs” Does exclusive gear like Tracksmith's BQ singlet for Boston Marathon qualifiers celebrate excellence or gatekeep the sport? We'll get into all the fun and bizarre trends in sport from running influencers to Strava art. So which trends are overrated? We've got opinions and you probably do too, so let's get into the episode on which running trends are overrated or underrated.
