Welcome to Season 2, Episode 11 of the Cryptid Ramblers Podcast. In this episode we are staying within the world of Demons, but this time we are looking into the psychological impact of the phenomena. As always we start with the academic side of the discussion by looking into the history of the various conditions and undiagnosed symptoms. Then we look to tackle the impact of religion and how each one has its own belief and understanding of possession, and more importantly how it deals with it. Of course you cant look at something like possession and not look into the affect on mental health. Not just the personal impact on the sufferer but also the stigma surrounding it So please join us as we take a slightly different turn in this episode and explore what is still a very fascinating subject with many different angles.

Welcome to Season 2, Episode 10 of the Cryptid Ramblers Podcast. In this episode we are veering off the cryptid path for a moment and heading into the world of spirits and demon possessions. To kick things off, in what will be a two part series, we look at some of the most compelling and well known stories of demon possessions. This episode as usual takes us to a number of locations from Germany over to the US of A. We discuss real world accounts of demonic possession which have also influenced many movies which are prominent in pop culture today. Welcome to Season 2, Episode 9 of the Cryptid Ramblers Podcast. In this episode we are diving into another fabled cryptid, hotly linked to the focus of our last episode. Steeped in history and legend, this creature can be found in folklore across Europe starting in Greece and their mythology and also being quite prominent in Norse mythology also in parts of Scandinavia. As most people will know they are also linked heavily with Vampires, which is why in most pop culture references you cant have one with other. In this episode we discuss the similarities including a very condition that caused people to be accused of being both. So join us as we sink our teeth into another monstrous cryptid and try to unearth new details and even a few surprises.

Welcome to Season 2, Episode 8 of the Cryptid Ramblers Podcast. In this episode we follow on from the previous where we discussed the legend of the Vampire. Reading Dr. Stephen Kaplans book "Vampires Are" we come across a thrilling encounter with a real life vampire by the name of Elizabeth. From their first encounter, through their many conversations to the ultimate conclusion, we break down this compelling story of this supposed 400 year old vampire. This episodes keeps us firmly in the US as we dive deep into the Dr's book as well some additional bits of information that follows on from Part 1. So join us as we sink our teeth again into another interesting story regarding this famous legend.

Welcome to season 2, episode 7 of the Cryptid Ramblers Podcast. In this episode we take a deep dive in the history, origin and folklore of Vampires. This time we are mostly covering countries within Eastern and Western Europe to begin our journey into this well known legend, however we are also taken further afield to the other side of the world for other potential stories of the Vampire. We visit places such as Romania and Greece and go as far afield as the US and India. As always many people will think they know who or what a vampire is whether it be courtesy of Bram Stoker, The Bible or mythologies from ancient Greece and Egypt but shine the light on all of these and more to determine the true origin of this most famous cryptid. So please join us as we sink our teeth into this most fascinating monster lore.

Welcome to Season 2, Episode 6 of the Cryptid Ramblers Podcast. In this episode we take another trip to the other side of the world, back to a little island in the Caribbean. Another local legend to Puerto Rico which has origins in French mythology. We also find ourselves in the US, UK and even Chile. Many people think they will know what a Gargoyle is but you'll be surprised to learn it has links to other well known cryptids that we have covered previously. Not only do we go over sightings and encounters and of course the believed origins, we also have local knowledge. One of our listeners kindly translated local articles covering sightings from the island of Puerto Rico into English and provided a field report of evidence. So please join us as we dive deep into another cryptid from the America's.

Welcome to Season 2, Episode 5 of the Cryptid Ramblers Podcast. In this episode we take a trip to the other side of world, but this time to a little island in the Caribbean. A local legend, which also has ties with the US, captured our attention and we wanted to dive in straight away. Well known throughout the Caribbean and the Americas, we came across a lot of intriguing encounters, sightings and stories. One even provided by a listener of the podcast. With two distinct descriptions of the creature we journeyed from little towns in Puerto Rico to a state in the US. From the first reported sighting in 1995 to a possible origin as far back as the 1970's we cover a whole variety of evidence that brings this creature into existence. So join us as we delve into the intriguing world of El Chupacabra.

Welcome to Season 2, Episode 4 of the Cryptid Ramblers Podcast. In this episode we take a trip to a small town in Wisconsin, USA. There we dive into a local legend which has put the little town of Elkhorn, Walworth County on the map, attracting tourists and fans from far and wide. Yes, we are going down to Bray Road, in hunt of the infamous beast. For over 80 years, this elusive beast has been terrorising the local community from sightings at the side of the road, to roaming the surrounding farm land and animal mutilations. Drawing comparisons to the Dogman of Michigan we look into whether this is a beast of its own or whether it is one of the same. The first sighting stems from 1936 but it is believed that the beast has existed since the last 1800's. So come and join us as we take another trip over the pond to investigate another local legend.

Welcome to Season 2, Episode 3 of the Cryptid Ramblers Podcast. For this episode we return to a familiar format. We dive back into a much known cryptid originating from the United States. Fans of the podcast will be pleased to know that we even venture back to our favourite state of West Virginia. The stories and encounters with the elusive Dogman take us across America from Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin and of course our beloved West Virginia. Then across the pond to local legends near us here in Essex, UK. It isn't just physical encounters we uncover either, we jump back into the world of the spiritual and possible paranormal. So join us as we investigate the possible existence of this creature and if it does, what form does it take, physical, spiritual or even paranormal.

To follow on from our Inner Earth episode we finally addressed a question posed to us by one of our amazing Patreon members. It followed on nicely from Episode 1 and was the right time to finally tackle it. Welcome to Season 2 of the Cryptid Ramblers Podcast. We kick off this year of course with Episode 1 and we hope you are not disappointed. Our research was initially looking into cave systems around the world and the strange goings on within them. Then we were both taken in a slightly different direction, with the further we got into it, the closer we found another subject matter. So letting the subject take us down a natural path, we ended up at what is quite a popular and interesting theory. We were taken all around the world from the Arctic, Scandinavia and even parts of Europe, including the UK. We discuss real world evidence and expeditions, as well as sightings and interactions. There is even involvement from important figure heads from world leaders and politicians to top religious figures. Join us as we delve into the possibility of there being an inner earth and whether we believe in such a possibility.

This time we discuss the legendary mythical beings that are Sirens and Mermaids. We spend most of our time exploring ancient Greece and diving deep into their origins. Covering their earliest depictions in art, moving slowly into literature whilst also uncovering the differences between creatures that were thought to be one of the same. Much like the Mermaids each region in Greece has its own version and name, but luckily we don't go into each one. We find out that they might not be just physical beings but may take on a spiritual iteration. Of course the most famous iteration was arguably injected into pop culture by Hans Christian Anderson, his story was then of developed by Walt Disney. Our research in this episode takes us all around the world with sightings in England, Scotland, Greece, Japan and many other countries around the world. Much like a lot of the cryptids we have already covered, each region has its own version of what we commonly know as a Mermaid. So join us on this aquatic journey as we dive deep into the origins of this creature whilst also looking at real world evidence, sightings and stories.

Previously we covered Goblins and Fairies and in this episode we look into the elusive and mischievous elves. Known throughout our history and pop culture thanks to literary idols like Shakespeare, Rowling and Tolkien, we all think we know what elves are. Well in this episode we try to uncover the real history of elves and discover a real world origin. Following our research we stay in the UK whilst also travelling to America and Indonesia unearthing tales, stories, discoveries and even evidence of the possible existence of this once mythical cryptid. As with the last episode we found ourselves recording on a very special day, we recorded on July 4th. Now to anyone living under a rock July 4th is of course Independence Day for our American cousins. Now as the title suggests and leading on from our last episode about all things Goblins, Gnomes, Dwarves and the like, we found ourselves falling back down the rabbit that is Hellier. This is a documentary that explores the phenomena of Goblins and their possible sightings and interactions with the residents of Hellier, Kentucky. The investigation is lead by paranormal couple Greg and Dana Newkirk and their crew as they look into the intriguing story of an experience with what became known as the Kentucky Goblins. Join us as we dive into the experience of not only the crew but the individual they were trying to help. We cover Season 1 in this episode and it takes so many twists and turns and leaves you down an exciting rabbit hole with plenty of questions as well as answers. Are the Goblins real and did they terrorise a man and his family, or is it simply an elaborate hoax.

We are diving into the mysterious and inexplainable disappearances of both children and adults from America's national parks. With clusters popping up around the country our attentions are mostly concentrated on the American Mid-West with a trip over to New York. What does this have to do with Cryptids you may ask? Well, some of the very creatures we have discussed in previous episodes are reported to be linked with these very disappearances. You'll have to listen to find out which ones! In the first half we cover The Missing 411 and the mysterious disappearances of young children dating back as early as the 1950's. Then in the second half we jump into the even weirder disappearances of adults in The Missing 411: The Hunted with these occurring as recently as the 2000's. None of the victims should have vanished without a trace and their cases are certainly compelling. Join us as we dive deep into each one and unearth all the evidence, to try and determine whether these were just unfortunate disappearances or is there something more to it.

For anyone who listened to our last episode you will know that this time we are discussing Fairies. The Fae or Fae folk as they are otherwise known have been referenced in history for hundreds of years. With origins rooted firmly in British folklore we also take a trip to Germany, Ireland and the Slavic regions of Europe. From as early as the 12th Century and as recent as the modern age, we look into these mysterious creatures uncovering intriguing stories, known accounts and even real life interactions. Join us on this journey as we determine whether Fairies are as Disney have depicted, or do they have a more sinister and mischievous origin.

Welcome to Episode Nine of the Cryptid Ramblers Podcast. In this episode we will be staying in the British Isles and diving deep into a local cryptid, legend and myth. We will exploring the harbinger of death herself the Banshee. With origins in Ireland, the legend of the Banshee has found herself also in Scottish and Welsh folklore. We will venture to each country and explore how each legend has taken on a persona of its own. As early as the 1380's, through to the 1700's and even more recently than that we cover a variety of stories, all of which involve an encounter with this wailing cryptid. From the Banshee of Ireland, the Caoineag in Scotland and the Gwrach y Rhibyn in Wales we dive into the origins of each and all their variations. Join us on the journey as we determine whether there is more to this historic creature of death or just another evolved fairy tale.

Welcome to Episode Eight of the Cryptid Ramblers Podcast. In this episode we will be diving in the creepy and malevolent companions of the ever elusive Men in Black, that's right, we are going to be looking into the Women in Black. We are back briefly in Bridgeport, Connecticut and the encounter involving a relative of Albert K Bender who had his own MiB experience in 1962. Regular listeners will not be shocked to learn that we wind up back in West Virginia hot on the tail of WiB's and their interactions in the 1950's, involving none other than John Keel. Certainly the most compelling encounter we come across takes us to Moapa Valley, California and a visit experienced by Truman Bethurum. In 1953 he meets with Captain Aura Rhanes, a reported WiB from the planet Clarion. Are the Women in Black just a companion of the Men in Black, being as elusive and out of touch, or do they have their own sinister plans. Take a listen into these creepy stories as we try to uncover the truth.

Welcome to Episode Seven of the Cryptid Ramblers Podcast. Listeners of our podcast will know that in this episode we are diving into the phenomenon that is The Black Eyed Children. This time we venture out of the safe but creepy confines of West Virginia and head to the State of Texas and even closer to home in the County of Staffordshire, UK. These cryptid creatures could originate as far back as the 1950's, however it is the first published encounter from 1996 that we will explorer. As well as a quick dash over to Vermont to dive into the story of a young couple who actually let them in to their home. Listeners from the UK will be pleased to know that the legend has an origin here too and of course we dive deep into that and how it has taken on a more sinister history. Are the Black Eyed Children paranormal, do they have a more demonic persona, could they be vampires or could they indeed be connected to the elusive MiB. Welcome to Episode Six of the Cryptid Ramblers Podcast. Regular listeners will be pleased to know that we are back "home" in West Virginia. After a quick trip across state to Virginia, USA we are back exploring a local WV cryptid. Now this creature has become a local legend to the residents of Flatwoods, Braxton County bringing with it a museum, statues and some much needed tourism. As well as our favourite state in the US we are also back in the 1950's, specifically this time we are going to 1952. Just after the "UFO Summer" or the Washington Blip, there was an encounter with a cryptid that would change the lives of not only the participants involved, but the residents of this small populated town of West Virginia. Here in this episode we will dive deep into one of the most compelling cryptid encounters to rock the US, the mysterious Flatwoods Monster. Is this a real encounter with a visitor from another planet or simply an attempt to get a town on the map. Join us as we break down the story, its origins and as always other encounters.

This particular group of cryptids will be familiar to most people as they were inserted into pop culture, thanks to a popular 1997 movie. Yes, we will be diving deep into the Men in Black. As mentioned they were popularised by the 1997 movie starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, and various sequels followed. We, however, will be going back to the 1950's and again covering West Virginia. This is where some of the many and most compelling encounters occurred. We will of course be going into their origins, their representation in the movie, the most famous encounter as well other interactions experienced throughout 1950's West Virginia.
