Messianic Shabbat - The Harvest

The Lord is holy! And because He is holy, He expects His sons and daughters to also be holy. But what exactly is holiness? What does it mean to be holy like Him? Join us as we explore this intriguing aspect of our Father. A aspect that each of us are called to. Let's pursue holiness for without it none of us will see the Lord (Heb. 12:14).

Join us as we hear a special message from Fay Yalenga, wife of Rabbi Alex Yalenga, from Zambia Messianic Fellowship. Zambia Messianic Fellowship (ZMF) is the oldest grouping of Messianic Jewish Congregations in Zambia. They are a Yeshua (Jesus) centered and Torah observant organization made up of Jewish and Gentile believers in Messiah Yeshua. Alex and Fay also oversee several other young Messianic Congregations dotted all over Zambia. Fay is the founder and in charge of the orphanage day school (160+ Children) in western Lusaka and live-in orphanage in eastern Lusaka both named after the late messianic Jewish Rabbi Jerome Fleischer.

God is a god of order, not chaos. As His children, we are called to order our lives. Part of ordering is arranging things in a way that prioritizes the important aspects of life. This is what brings blessing, peace, and prosperity. Today we will look into the four great priorities of life; God, family, church, and government.

There is no greater dynamic and empowerment than that which comes from being immersed in the Holy Spirit! It is by and through the Holy Spirit that we are born anew and enabled to be reflect and represent Jesus here in our world. This infilling of the Spirit is for all who believe in Jesus. The only requirement is that we ask, seek, and pursue being filled up with the Holy Spirit. In this teaching we will unpack what it means to advance the Kingdom of God by the Holy Spirit!

Along with most Jewish people, a growing number of Christians will also be celebrating Passover this year. This interest in Passover is a direct result of the renewed hunger to understand the Jesus of the Scriptures verse the Jesus of tradition. As believers in Jesus return to biblical literature, they are also returning to the ancient celebrations and holy days found in the word of God. Passover is probably the most popular one currently. Join us and discover why Passover was so important to Jesus and His followers and why it should be equally as important to you.

The holy week of Passover is almost here! This set of holy days reveal, exalt, and celebrate Jesus as the Lamb of God who makes atonement for the sins of the world so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish in hell, but receive and experience true life now and forever more! We keep and celebrate the holy week of Passover because God has commanded us to and the Apostles modeled it for us! If you are new to this, join us as we unpack the holy week that Jesus initially fulfilled and His Apostles and all His followers kept.

Speaking the truths concerning Jesus and His Kingdom takes great courage because they are strikingly counterculture to this world's lies and ways. Doing the works of Jesus are also controversial and upsetting for similar reasons. To do the works of Jesus, we all need something to give us courage and something to give us power to accomplish the mandate “…to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you (Matthew 28:19-20).” That something is the third person of the Trinity; the Holy Spirit. Join us as we learn more about the person and power of the Holy Spirit for the life of the believer.

The Scroll of Esther is a dramatic narrative set in the Persian Empire during the reign of King Ahasuerus in approximately 500 years BCE. It recounts how Esther, a Jewish woman, with the help of her cousin Mordecai, saves the Jewish people from an antisemitic plan to annihilate them. The sad news is that the spirit of Haman has risen again but this time in the terrorist organization, Hamas. Join us as we look the Haman-Hamas connection and Satan's ancient agenda to genocide the chosen people of God.

esus observed and celebrated the Biblical Sabbath (rather than Sunday) His entire life (Lk 4:16)! The Apostles also observed and celebrated Sabbath rather than Sunday! In fact, the entire church (Jews and Gentiles) in the Apostolic era also observed and celebrated the Sabbath as the weekly day of worship rather than Sunday. So, what happened? How did Sunday come to replace the biblical Sabbath for most Christians? Join us as we explore the main reasons why Catholic and Protestant Christians justify Sunday as the replacement for the Biblical Sabbath.

What day a person worships on often signifies which world religion they are a part of. If you worship on Friday, you are likely Muslim. If you worship on Saturday, you are likely Jewish. And, if you worship on Sunday, you are likely Christian. Since worship days are a defining marker, join as we explore the importance of worship days.

Why? it is probably related to the fact that deep inside every heart is the longing to connect with spiritual realm. Innately, we all know that the spiritual realm is the eternal one where everything is redeemed, reconciled, and made whole. Everyone wants to get there and many have different ideas about how to get there. Today we will look at the Stairway to Heaven as found in the Biblical text.

Jesus not only fulfills the biblical holy days but He also fulfills an important national holiday called Hanukkah. By the first century, Hanukkah became known as the Festival of Lights symbolizing illumination, and revelation. During this festival, Jesus reveals that He and the Father are one! This revelation would usher in transformational life and blessing for all who would receive it. Today we will conclude our series on Hanukkah by exploring this unity between the Father and the Son.

Illumination brings an awakening to that which is real, true, and transformative. It is like turning on a light in a dark room. Spiritual illumination is not only being awakened to the spiritual and eternal realm but also being transformed by the power of this kingdom. Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Light, is the very season that marks the revelation of who Jesus is. Join us as we are illuminated with the revelation of Jesus in the Temple, at Jerusalem, during the Celebration of Lights.

Hanukkah has been overlooked by the traditional Gentile Church for nearly 2000 years! It has neglected its importance, failing to recognize that Hanukkah is inextricably connected with Jesus and His Mission. One cannot separate the meaning of Hanukkah from who Jesus is. He is the inaugural fulfillment of its revelation and significance. The themes and lessons of Hanukkah are universal and it inspires us to believe in Jesus staying loyal to God's law. In our first teaching, we learned from Revelation 12 that the dragon is Satan, the woman is Israel, and the child is the promised Messiah. In our second teaching, we learned about Satan's first defeat. After the Great Red Dragon's defeat, he is hurled to the earth where, in rage, he pursues Israel and the followers of Jesus. However, God intervenes and gives to Israel and the Gentiles who believe in Messiah, all they need to persevere and overcome this greatest of dragons! Join us as we conclude our journey through Revelation 12.

In our first teaching, we learned from Revelation 12 that the dragon is Satan, the woman is Israel, and the child is the promised Messiah. Satan's focus is on killing the woman (Israel) and her child (Messiah) which are depicted in prophetic, astral symbols and imagery. He does all that he can though his army of fallen angels to destroy her and her baby. You have an enemy. He is the ancient serpent, the evil one, the great red dragon. He is most widely known as Satan or the Devil. He has wisdom, power, a kingdom, and an army of fallen angels and demons at his behest. From the begining, Jesus said he is a liar and a murderer. One of his greatest lies is to get the masses to believe that he, his kingdom, and his agenda does not exist. But the Sacred Scriptures expose him for who he is. One of the core themes of Biblical literature is the concept of “holiness”. Holiness includes holy days which is our topic of discussion for today. The world has its holy days and holy seasons, and God has His. Furthermore, God has commanded His people to forsake pagan days such as Halloween and embrace His deeply spiritual days. Join us as we look at why we are to separate ourselves from celebrating or participating in the pagan days embedded in our culture.

The Day of Atonement is a revelation of how God will forgive and remove the sins of Israel. He will do this because He loves His people. We also learn that what he offers Israel, He offers to the nations as well. This is good news! As Paul summarizes it, this good news “is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek" (Rom 1:16). Obviously, Israel as a nation, rejected this offer. What does that mean? Has God now rejected her and replaced her with Gentile believers? And what about the promises that God made to her as a nation? The good news is that “all Israel shall be saved” (Rom 11:26). Join us as we look into the consummate Yom Kippur wherein Israel as a nation comes to faith and not only receives forgiveness, but everything that God ever promised her.

The last holy day on God's Calendar is simply and mysteriously referred to by Moses as “the eighth day”. Very little is initially said about it. But as time unfolds, the revelation of this day explodes with meaning. In Jesus, there is an inaugural fulfillment in His first advent, and there will be a consummate fulfillment in His second advent! Join us as we step into the reality of the inaugural fulfillment of the eschatological Eighth Day!

It is the very reason we call Jesus, Immanuel, for it means God with us! For the Fall Holy Days, we will start with the first which is called Yom Teruah or the Day of Blowing (ram's horns/trumpets). It is all about Jesus our King and His return to judge the living and the dead. For Yom Teruah last year we looked at Psalm 2 and how it was fulfilled by Jesus. This year we will take a dive into the book of Revelation and what it says about this holy day. Join us in this journey of discovering more about who Jesus is and who we are in Him.

God deals with nations in similar ways to how He deals with Israel. If a nation chooses evil over good, God will bring judgements and misery. If a nation chooses good and lives by what is true and right, God will bring blessings. America is approaching a crossroads like Israel was in the days of King Ahab. Will we continue to choose evil or will we turn back to the ways of God? Join us as we study the story of Elijah, King Ahab, and the Prophets of Baal and discover timeless truths for every nation.

The prayers of God's people change the world. In America, a change is needed and the Church is the catalyst. We may be up against overwhelming corrupt powers with money and authority, but fear not! We have been here many times before in human history. The Lord is with us and He is more powerful than any worldly authority. We must turn to God in faithful prayer. Love is the greatest commandment in the Torah. Learning to receive God's love is where it all begins. His love can bring us through any hardship or fiery trial. His love is full of hope and will give us endurance to overcome all our challenges in life. The love of God will hold us, sustain us, and bring to us all that He has for us. The church exists in part to empower and support parents. We are called to help protect parent's rights to have and raise their children. As a church we will do this by the grace and wisdom of God who is Father of us all! Today, we will look at how parents can shape and form children's character through Godly discipline.

Children belong to the Lord. He gifts them to us as parents and empowers us to raise them, discipline them, and bless them, so that they experience, meaning, purpose, and life abundant! Our children belong to us, their parents. They do not belong to the church, the community, the schools, the state, or the nation. The church exists in part to empower and support parents. We are called to help protect parent's rights to have and raise their children. As a church we will do this by the grace and wisdom of God who is Father of us all!

Biblical fatherhood is under attack and greatly diminished today. It has been undermined, demeaned, and deconstructed by those who want to rid themselves of God's ways. However, we shall not be moved. We will stand our ground, celebrate, protect, and pass this essential institution of Biblical fatherhood on to the next generation. To all our fathers we say with resounding joy, utmost respect, honor, and with our deepest gratitude, Happy Father's Day!

We have all hear the saying, "United we stand, divided we fall". It a saying that propels us to fulfill our calling and destiny together. If we as believers are going to rise, do the work of Messiah, and overcome evil, we must rediscover the principle of unity, how it operates, and how to safeguard it. This begins at the local level, in each congregation. Join us as we explore and apply the power of unity!

As believers, the Holy Spirit causes us to be born again and empowers us to live life in freedom and glory. It also gives enables us with supernatural gifts in order to carry on the mission and vision of Jesus for this alienated and lost world that we live in. There is nothing more thrilling than this Spirit filled life in Jesus! May we turn from our sins, believe in Jesus, be filled with the Holy Spirit and do the works that He did. This is our heritage and our legacy! Holy Spirit, you are welcome in our lives!

Motherhood is universally understood by all human beings, in all cultures, in all places, and in every generation from time immemorial. Today we will look a one of the mothers mentioned in the Scriptures. Like all mothers, she is faced with many challenges and yet overcomes them by her faith in God. She is one of many mothers in the Bible who are presented as role models for all woman who become mothers. To all our mothers we say with resounding joy, utmost respect, honor, and with our deepest gratitude, Happy Mother's Day! You are loved, cherished, and indispensable to our community.

Everyone agrees that Pentecost marks the birth of the Church. However, few recognize that it was the first Pentecost at Sinai where its was birthed (acts 7:37-38). In addition to this first Pentecost, the second one ushered in the age of the outpoured Spirit. Thanks to Jesus, we (Jewish and Gentile believers) not only have the Torah written on our hearts, we have the fullness of the Spirit residing in us to empower us to fulfill the law in our lives! What an amazing holy day this is. Jesus , thank you for the Law and the Spirit!

When the prophet John saw Jesus he exclaimed, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" Who would have guessed that the Lamb that would be slain, would not only rise again, but would become King of kings and Lord of lords? The world who mocked Him, tortured Him, and crucified Him, would now answer to Him for what it did. But for those who would repent, humble themselves, and ask Him for forgiveness, to them He would bless, forgive, and redeem. Those whom He saved would be exalted as His children and join Him in ruling and reigning over creation. This is the story and glory of Passover and where it ultimately leads to.
