I'm giving you permission to pivot!As I often say, marketing is testing. To test we need to put something out in the world and see if it's attracting the right people into our space,and that we're attracting them into whatever offer or promotion that we're creating in the future.While you're doing that testing, make sure you give yourself permission to pivot if you need to. How do you price your product or service?What price should your product, service, coaching program, membership course be at?Now here's the thing, in the open world right now there are people that are hunting for free or low-cost everywhere. They're searching the Walmarts of the world, the Amazons of the world, they're looking on YouTube, on Google, they're searching and hunting in Facebook groups and on Instagram accounts… they're hunting for free or low cost.Yes, there are going to be way more people that want free or low cost in every single market or niche that's out there in the world. But.. at the exact same time, there are a lot of people in the world right now that are willing to make a very serious investment in our product and service.So I recommend when it comes to pricing is that we really need to know our audience, we really need to know the transformation. What is the problem they have and how are we speaking into that problem? What is the transformation that they're going to get through our coaching program or membership or course or product or service? What is that transformation?Because that's really the end result of what they're going to get, the promise that you're making. It doesn't matter how many modules or how how if it's a facebook live or zoom call. It doesn't matter if it's a whiz bang thing, it's the desired result, it's the end result that people are seeking, they want that problem fixed. What is the transformation. When you understand that, then you understand how to package around the price that you actually want.I'm going to challenge you: start with the price!What problem are you solving? Getting more sales in your business does not have to be complicated. Three things have to be aligned in order to get those sales.So the first thing is having the right audience and really understanding who you are speaking and marketing to. Understanding your audience's needs, wants, desires, pain points, the things that they're striving for, and having a really clear understanding of who they are, will really allow you to speak to them in a way that they understand and connect with you.That leads to the second thing, which is your messaging, which has to be aligned as well. Once you deeply understand your audience, it's really about connecting with them using the words that they use, talking about the things that matter to them, talking about the things that they're excited about and conveying your understanding and empathy for them. Having that message aligned is super important!First is having the right audience and really understanding them. Second is aligning your messaging. The third thing is: your offer! Your offer should be a solution that solves your audience's problem. Make sure that it your offer is a solution that really speaks to your audience.Listen to your audience really get to understand who they are, speak to them in a way that they understand and then create your offers around that. When it's time to craft your offer, are you focusing on the features and forgetting to include the benefits? A lot of us make this mistake.The features are all the “things” in your offer: that's all the modules, that's all the lessons, that's the PDF's, that's the audio downloads, that's all the stuff, it's all the things, and they are important because the detail-oriented people are going to want to know exactly what's included in their offer.But in addition to the features, we also need to have the benefits, and this is the part a lot of people forget. With the features in mind, think about why it's important? Why would this person really be interested in this module or in this audio download? How is it really going to help them? Then you need to tie the two together!Feature benefit language is super important, start incorporating this in all of your copy, whether it's your sales pages, your landing pages, your free stuff, and yes you need it on the freebies too, they need to know why it's important. Get paid to build your email list.When we go and acquire something, when we consume something, we're expected to pay, right?But here in the internet marketing space, a lot of people get tripped up on what's sold on to them and that's build a list, build a list, build a list, nurture, nurture, nurture, because that builds the vanity metric.That's something that is something that's measurable for a lot of influencers out there to get you to do. And I'm going to tell you at the end of the day, most of your clientele most likely is not in this internet marketing bubble, they're not conditioned this way. You have the opportunity to get paid as you build your email list. After all, this is what happens in the real world. You get contact information from people that are buyers, not people that are freebie seekers. So whenever you're doing your opt ins, whenever you're doing those initial offers, you could have different types of offers that you do that will allow the person to pull their wallet out in advance, sooner in the relationship versus way later in the relationship. Now, what that will allow you to do is then you're going to be able to pre finance your list building because as you spend money to get new eyeballs on your offers, on your things, you are then able to sell a different type of offer, typically a smaller promise, a smaller offer initially compared to your big offer, your big course, coaching, program, membership that you have the different offers that we all have in the backarsenal.And while that happens you will actually, as your email list grows, the money will be coming back in, the money will be coming back in, you'll be able to reinvest it. It's like having an ATM machine versus a slot machine when it comes to doing your ads.I want you to keep in mind that you can look at your funnel differently.You can look at your marketing strategy completely differently, if you change your mindset and start thinking more and ask yourself the question, “how can I get paid sooner? I've seen this happen a lot throughout my years in business.People do something proactive; they pull in a lot of interest to their offer, they'll end up landing a bunch of clients and at that point, they get really busy and very productive, they have a lot of sales and income come in.But while they're focused on those current customers and serving people, they stop doing what they did to attract those people. Then what happens is they serve, and they close out, they finish those transactions and there's no one left to serve. They have to start all over again at the bottom.So how can you get rid of those peaks and valleys?Don't stop doing what you did to attract people in the first place, and you'll keep attracting new people in. Start every day at zero, as if you have zero clients. Put your best foot out there, put in the effort, stay consistent, keep attracting new people in, and then you'll never run out on the back end.
