What if the biggest thing standing between you and your calling isn't a lack of ability—but waiting until you feel ready? In this episode of The Journey to Becoming Podcast, we're talking about the power of pre-deciding that you'll continue to show up, use your God-given gifts, and stay faithful—even when fear, insecurity, or excuses try to hold you back. Using 2 Timothy 1:6-7, we unpack Paul's encouragement to Timothy to "fan into flame" the gift God had placed within him and explore why Timothy was able to receive that correction. Because he had a mentor. He had accountability. He had someone who loved him enough to speak to his fears and call him up, not out. In this episode, you'll learn: What it means to "fan into flame" your spiritual gifts. Why you can't trust your feelings to determine your faithfulness. The importance of discipleship and accountability in your spiritual growth. How to pre-decide to show up before excuses have a chance to win. Why God has given you a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline—not fear. If you've been shrinking back, doubting yourself, or waiting until you feel more confident, this episode is the reminder you need: Your calling doesn't pause because your feelings fluctuate. It's time to fan the flame, silence the excuses, and become the woman God created you to be. So they wait. They overthink. They hold back. Not because they aren't capable, but because their brain is trying to keep them safe.In this episode, Alex and Carol explore why fear isn't something you're born with, it's something you learn. Through a simple story about a fearless toddler, they unpack what courage actually looks like, why support matters more than going it alone, and how your brain can learn that your next level is safe too. What would you go after if fear didn't get the final vote? And are you treating the people ahead of you as proof it's possible... or proof you don't belong?Fear doesn't have to drive the car.It can ride beside you while you keep moving forward.

One of the biggest mistakes I see aspiring entrepreneurs make is believing they need to have everything figured out before they begin. They want certainty before they invest in training. They want confidence before they put themselves out there. They want to know they'll be successful before they're willing to take the first step. The problem is...that's not how confidence works.Confidence doesn't come first. It comes after you've taken enough imperfect action to realize you're capable.Sindy Warren is a life and business coach who helps people navigate career transitions, build businesses, and step into new chapters with intention. In this conversation, we talk about why so many people get stuck waiting for the "right time," how to quiet the limiting beliefs that tell you you're not ready, and why following curiosity is often a much better strategy than chasing certainty. If you've been sitting on an idea, questioning whether you're ready, or waiting until you feel more confident before taking action, I think this conversation will give you the push you need.Sometimes the only way to find out what's possible is to take the next step.Links:Website: https://bluetreecoaching.net/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bluetreecoaching/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sindywarren/If you'd like to learn more about becoming a Sleep Consultant, please join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/becomeasleepconsultantCPSM website: https://thecpsm.com/Book a free discovery call to learn how you can become a Certified Sleep Consultant here: https://jaynehavens.as.me/CPSM-Inquiry

Hey hey beautiful human! So many women think confidence comes after the body changes. After the weight is lost. After the jeans fit differently. After the arms look smaller. After the stomach feels flatter. After they finally feel "ready" to wear the swimsuit, take the photo, book the trip, go to the event, or show up without hiding. But what if waiting for your body to change is the exact thing keeping you from becoming the woman you want to be? In this bonus episode of Embrace Your Real, I'm challenging the belief that you have to earn the right to live fully by reaching a certain body goal first. You can have goals. You can want to feel stronger. You can want to feel better in your skin. But your life is not supposed to be on pause while you work toward those things. This episode is your reminder that confidence is not something you wait for. It is something you practice. And sometimes the first step is doing the thing you have been saving for "later" in the body you have right now. What's Discussed: How to recognize when your body image is making decisions for you The real cost of avoiding photos, trips, swimsuits, events, and new experiences Why reaching a goal does not automatically give you permission to enjoy your life How to stop treating your body like the price of admission for confidence Why living your life now can make your health journey feel lighter The one thing I want you to stop saving for "when your body changes" The Movement With Julie app is there to help you stop waiting for the perfect season, the perfect schedule, or the perfect body before you start showing up for yourself. I'm Lesley Logan, Pilates instructor and fitness business coach. I've trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt. My friends, action brings clarity and it's the antidote to fear. Each week, my guest will bring bold, executable, intrinsic and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and Be It Till You See It. It's a practice, not a perfect. Let's get started. Lesley Logan 0:54  All right, be it, babe. How are you? Oh my gosh, welcome back to the Be It Till You See It podcast. This week, instead of an interview, it's me. Both episodes, we're actually talking about messy action, and we love messy action around here, because it's in the intro. If you're new to our podcast, sometimes we have interviews and recaps, and lately we've been adding these solo episodes in, and hopefully you're liking them. We'd love to hear topics that you want us to have interviews on, or that you want us to get some solo episodes on, if you want to hear my opinion on things, stories, things like that. That's why we're doing this, because people asked. So, here's the deal. I'm a recovering perfectionist and overachiever, and that means that I try to do things way before I'm ready, but I didn't used to be that way. I used to be someone who had to make sure everything was in perfect order before I would do the thing, which actually just meant that I was honestly procrastinating, because the reality is feeling ready is a myth. In fact, oftentimes when we feel ready, it's because the thing we want to do is no longer scary, because it's no longer we're the only one doing it. In fact, other people are doing it so much now, I just feel safe. And then it's like, well, do we miss our boat? Do we miss our chance? And the arguments would be that, no, you should just do the thing because you're the only person who can do what you do the way you want to do it, but if you're waiting to feel ready, you'll be waiting a long time, and then really we've missed the opportunity to do the thing, because there are lessons that we will learn in our quest to feel ready to actually get there. And so to be honest, we know ready is a myth, and we also know that if readiness was required, no one would ever begin, because being a beginner is scary. And when we see people who are beginners, we see them make mistakes, and we don't go, "Oh, what a beginner." We're like, "Oh my god, look at them doing that thing," right? So we have to have that same grace for ourselves, and no one truly ever feels 100% ready. It's hard, because on social media these days everyone looks like everything's curated and perfectly ready, but everyone's actually scared. Everyone's doing things as they go, and they just make it look like it's ready to go, but inside, nothing's ever ready. We just launched something today, and the link works for some people and not others. That doesn't mean we wouldn't prepare like a fuck ton, but weird things happen. Little tech gremlins get in there, so I just share that with you, because it's so easy to look at other people going, "Oh my god, they have it all together. So, when they start something new, of course, it's ready to go." No, everyone is doing the best they can, and then you won't actually know that things are ready to go until you get out there and you do it, and so you may as well just take the messy action, because you'll learn the most in the first place.Lesley Logan 3:28  Now, a few weeks back, we had a series on being stuck, and I find a lot of people are stuck because they actually are wanting to do something, but they're waiting to feel ready. In that series we talked about motivation isn't the problem, it's this: we feel stuck because we're not moving forward towards the thing we want to do, but we're not moving forward because we don't feel ready, and we put ourselves in this position, and we actually make it on our brain that we have to have motivation to get ready. I heard someone say we'd be ready to be ready, and I don't even know if that's possible. We have to be willing to be imperfect and to take an action based on the information that we have, and then reflect, correct, and continue, right? So take the first step and reflect and correct and continue. I'm thinking of one of our very first guests, he's like, "You're never going to see the top of the stair, but you could see the first one, and then when you take the first step, you'll actually see the second step." And that's kind of how everyone does it. Everyone does it, right? I have recently talked about how I have a teacher training program that I'm creating, and I've never created a teacher training program before. I've taught them, I've seen others, I've never created my own, and it's hard. And I like going, "Oh, I don't like how this is not organized," but to be honest, I have to move forward with the beta group, because the only way I'm organized in the right flow is to try to put it in a flow, right? That's the only way. Lesley Logan 4:42  So, anyways, a lot of people also wait. I just want to say, if you are waiting to feel ready, oftentimes it's a protection thing, right? You have a fear of judgment, fear of failure, fear of success, a lot of different fears, fear of responsibility. Oh my god, what if it does work out? What if the teacher training program I am really excited about does work out? What kind of responsibility do I have now? Sometimes we have a fear of that, so then we make up reasons and excuses why we're not ready to move forward, because that fear is legitimate. It's totally real, and so I think it also just comes back to what your nervous system feels safe doing. Some people feel safe flying by the seat of their pants, and some people don't feel safe that way. And what? Look, it's a human need to need certainty, and that things are going to work out. It's also a human need to need uncertainty, and have surprises and experiments. So just know that you need both of those things. A lot of times we're protecting ourselves, that fear of judgment, what people think if I fail, and so, honestly, if you don't start, then you can't fail, right? But also, if you don't start something, then there's parts of you, the potential, the be it till you see it you, that also doesn't get to happen, and everything is moving forward, so you have to, as well, right? I think when you wait and you're afraid to take action, it does make you feel safe, but waiting keeps your dreams safe, and also keeps them stuck, which means it keeps you stuck. Lesley Logan 6:16  The other reason that you could be afraid of taking messy action is, hello, my ADHD ladies, lots of ideas, no clear place to start, and you end up in a freeze space until something motivates you, and you end up in this focus mode that's just amazing to do. And so then the reality is you shouldn't label yourself as stuck because you're just overloaded, like you're overwhelmed. I do have a thing for this, so if I have an idea, I put an idea on this parking lot. It's on a big Post-it on the back of my door, and if I look at it the next day and I know what it is, then I can keep working on it. And if I look at it the next day and I don't know what it is, and I'm not as excited, I don't.Lesley Logan 6:57  There's a 24-hour rule with ADHD people, because we are dopamine seekers, and I will say that if you have ADHD, there is a good chance you are going to be good at taking messy action because of the dopamine kick, but also because you have so many ideas, you could get stuck, or you could use other ideas to distract you from the thing that you're really wanting to do, because you don't feel ready. So, look at that, ADHD is its own conundrum, but overwhelm is real, and I want to acknowledge that, because I don't want you walking away from this episode going, "Oh, I'm supposed to do this when I don't feel ready, but I have all these other things." No, there might be several reasons why you're feeling stuck and afraid to take messy action, and so we have to unravel like an onion. What's the thing that's keeping you stuck? What's the thing that's keeping you from taking the first step forward to see if you like the thing? Sometimes you have ideas on things you want to do or be, and if you don't actually start working on it, you might not realize that you don't like it. I've done some things I was really, really proud of at the time, and then the longer we do it, the more I'm like, I'm not really into this anymore. I want to make changes, but if I had never taken the messy action in the first place, I would always go, "Oh, someday I wish I'd done that thing." Well, now that I have more information, I'm glad I did the thing, and I'm glad it's leading me over here. And so I would just say your dreams will be more curated and more unique to you and more supportive to you when you take the messy action. Lesley Logan 8:22  Another reason why a lot of people are afraid to take messy action is the perfect timing illusion. I'll start when... and here's the deal, there's no perfect timing. It's like that whole joke that you make a plan and then God laughs. I remember in 2019 Brad and I being in Las Vegas and really having a good time in the downtown area arts district, which is really close to our house now, and we're like, "Wow, we could really live here. Wow." And we had friends who owned homes there, and we're like, "We could own a home in Las Vegas, that is crazy. We should do that in 2022 or 2023. In fact, let's make sure that as we finish out what we planned for 2020, we are keeping in mind what we want to do in 2022 and 2023." Great. So then what happened in 2020? Yeah, we ended up moving to Vegas, because that was the perfect timing. Could you imagine if we stuck with our plan? No, we took the messy action. We moved. I mean, the reality is everyone took messy action in 2020 because that's what you had to do. That was the only option, right? So, I hope that that story helps you, because yeah, it's good to have a plan. It's good to do your research, and then sometimes you have to just move before you're ready. If you're feeling stuck, I get it, but it's just really a lack of movement. It's a lack of taking a step. Action does bring clarity and is the antidote to fear. It's why it's in the intro of the show. It's so funny that we're doing this episode after 700 episodes, because the reality is the intro is this episode. We often say, "I feel stuck," but really, let's leave the emotion and look more at a reality of are we just taking a step forward? Have we done one thing towards the thing we want to do? Especially for my ADHD people, sometimes we just need to start with one thing, and then it is the domino effect that we're looking for, right? And I will say, for my overthinkers, it's really easy to try to think your way forward, but you got to move your way forward. Action is more than what's in your mind. It's a physical embodiment. It's something that you do with your feet and your hands.Lesley Logan 10:25  It's sending the email, it's making the phone call, it's buying the URL, it's hiring the thing, it's exploring, it's doing the research, right? Do the research. I want to say, I get it. I get also the comfort in feeling stuck, and it's actually kind of comfortable, because then you always have a reason for why you haven't moved forward. If you have a reason, then you can't fail. But I also want you to know, it's one step at a time always. Being it till you see it is one step at a time. Messy action is one step at a time. I'm not saying blow everything up, right? My goodness, I think I've talked about this on the podcast before, but it took me a year to break up with a relationship I had before Brad. A year, because I was like, "Well, it's not the right time, I don't have the amount of money." And that's right, I couldn't blow my life up a year before. I did not have the situation to land on, so I worked. I tried to figure that out. I worked on the relationship and tried to figure out what I would do if the relationship didn't exist. I got myself ready to be ready, and then I kind of blew it up a little bit, but I did some messy action, but I didn't blow it up completely, because I had a landing pad. I will just say, don't punish yourself, don't harp on yourself. If you have been like, "Oh my god, Lesley called me out. I've been waiting to be ready for two years now. I've wasted all this time." No, you haven't. You have gotten more clarity, and this episode is hitting you when you need to hear it, that you are like, "Oh my god, okay, I'm gonna do the thing, I'm gonna take the messy action." Messy action is one step, it's not 20 steps, it's one, it's one. So, if waiting to take messy action, waiting to take action has been keeping you stuck, and we're acknowledging that now, and we're on the same page now, then the real question is how do we actually start moving forward, especially when you don't feel ready? So we're going to dive in deeper to how to start moving forward in our next episode, because we're keeping these bite-sized. We are, and I hope that that is helpful, because it's nice to have an hour-and-a-half-long episode that's inspiring, and of course I want you inspired, but also it's nice to have a bite-sized episode that just goes, "Oh my god, I have been living in fear, making excuses, researching myself to death, waiting to feel ready, and now I know I just need to take a next step." So, on Thursday, we're gonna talk about how to do that and dive in deeper. So, I would love to hear more about what you've been wanting to do. What have you been waiting to feel ready to do? There are two moments an entrepreneur tends to reach for support. One feels like an easy yes, the season when things are working and she is ready to scale. The other feels vulnerable and risky, the season when something is not working, debt may be building, and she has convinced herself she has to climb out of the hole on her own before she is allowed to ask for help. Alecia walks through the questions she asks women sitting in that harder season, the scarcity thinking and big assumptions that keep them stuck, and why the shame of "I should have this figured out by now" is often the real thing standing in the way.

You do not build a massive business by waiting until everything is perfect. You build it while moving. In this episode of The Level Up Podcast, Paul Alex breaks down the reality of agile execution, and why the best entrepreneurs learn to build the bridge while they are already walking on it. Because let's be real… If you wait until every system is perfect… Every SOP is finished… Every process is flawless… And every possible problem is solved… You will never launch. In this episode, you'll learn: Why the market changes your blueprint the second you launch How overplanning kills innovation and slows momentum Why selling the vision first can force faster execution How pressure creates better systems, stronger teams, and faster growth Why action gives you feedback that planning never will The truth is simple: You cannot build a perfect company in isolation. The customer gives you the data. The pressure exposes the weak points. The deadline forces the solution. And the chaos teaches you what actually needs to be built. Most people wait until they feel ready. High-level operators move first. They sell. They adapt. They fix the leaks. They build the systems in real time. Because perfection is an illusion. Execution is real. You do not need every answer before you start. You need momentum, feedback, and the willingness to solve problems as they appear. That is how real businesses are built. Not in theory. Not in endless planning. Not from waiting for the perfect moment. But through movement, pressure, and consistent execution. Stop waiting for the perfect blueprint. Hit the gas. Build the bridge. And keep leveling up. Your Network is your NETWORTH! Whether it's entering your first competition, moving up a level, coming back from a break, riding after an injury, or finally tackling a goal you've been putting off for months, many riders find themselves stuck in the same place: Waiting. In this episode, we explore why getting started often feels so difficult and why it has nothing to do with laziness, lack of motivation, or lack of confidence. Instead, your nervous system may be doing exactly what it's designed to do: protect you from uncertainty, failure, embarrassment, disappointment, or perceived danger. In This Episode, You'll learn: Why motivation is usually not the real problem How your nervous system keeps you stuck in your comfort zone The hidden fears behind procrastination and avoidance What analysis paralysis looks like in riding Why confidence is built through action, not before it How to use tiny actions to create momentum The importance of collecting evidence that you're capable Why perfection and perfect timing don't exist How professional riders handle nerves differently Practical ways to start before you feel ready Resources Mentioned: Coaching & support: https://www.mindeq.eu/coaching

Most startups don't fail from lack of ideas. They fail because people quit too early—or play it too safe. Graham Hobson built a €100M business starting with a simple frustration: printing photos of his kids. What followed wasn't a smooth growth curve—it was years of uncertainty, near failure, and painfully slow progress. In this conversation, we unpack the real psychology behind building something that lasts. Not hustle. Not hacks. But resilience, emotional insight, and the ability to keep going when the rewards are invisible. Graham shares how surviving the dot-com crash shaped his thinking, why hiring for values beats hiring for talent, and how the most successful businesses often start with deeply human problems. Reframe uncertainty as a normal part of meaningful progress Focus on emotional value, not just functional output Build resilience by solving problems, not avoiding them If you're building something—or thinking about it—this episode will change how you measure progress. In this solo episode of Referrals Done Right, Scott speaks directly to entrepreneurs, leaders, and professionals who feel stuck between where they are today and where they believe they are meant to go. Using the story of Moses and the burning bush as a framework, he explores the relationship between calling, self doubt, and action. Scott challenges the common belief that successful people wait until they feel ready before making a move. Instead, he argues that purpose often shows up in the middle of ordinary life and that growth begins when we respond to the opportunities and nudges already in front of usThroughout the episode, Scott breaks down the three stages of calling, conflict, and confirmation. He shares personal examples from his own life and business journey, highlighting how confidence is rarely present at the beginning of something meaningful. Rather than waiting for certainty, he encourages listeners to embrace discomfort, trust the process, and focus on taking the next step. This episode is a powerful reminder that readiness is often a myth, and that the future belongs to those willing to move forward before they feel fully prepared. You Will Learn:• Why purpose often appears during ordinary moments rather than dramatic breakthroughs• How self doubt and fear show up when you are standing near growth opportunities• Why waiting to feel ready can keep you stuck for years• The difference between confidence and commitment when pursuing a goal• How taking one imperfect step can create the momentum needed for clarity and growth---Scott Grates' Links:Referrals Done Right - https://www.referralsdoneright.orgReferrals Done Right FB Group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/296359076662332Scott Grates Website - https://www.scottgrates.comLove Living Local  - https://www.instagram.com/lovelivinglocal315Scott's FB - https://www.facebook.com/scott.grates.1Scott's - https://www.instagram.com/scottgratesTikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@scott.grates

Have you ever felt like God was calling you into something bigger, but you didn't feel prepared enough to take the next step? In this message, we explore the story of Joshua and discover a powerful truth: God rarely calls people who feel ready. Instead, He forms them through obedience. From Joshua standing at the edge of the Jordan River to Jeremiah doubting his own ability, Scripture reminds us that readiness is not a prerequisite for God's calling, it's something He develops as we move forward in faith. If you've been battling fear, insecurity, doubt, or hesitation, this message will encourage you to stop focusing on what you lack and start trusting what God is forming within you. Your next step may be the very place where God reveals the strength, courage, and purpose He placed inside you all along.

I still remember the day I launched Foundr. After all that work, all that effort — I made $5.50. And when I told someone close to me, they laughed. I was embarrassed, jaded, and genuinely questioning whether any of it was worth it. Here's the truth: that feeling never fully goes away. It just shows up in different forms. And if you're avoiding it, you're avoiding the exact things that grow your business. In this episode, I share why embarrassment isn't a sign you're doing something wrong — it's a sign you're doing something that matters — and walk through the real stories, including one of our Foundr Plus members who went from terrified of founder-led content to selling out her brand in days. Here's what you'll take away: Why visibility isn't about confidence or personality — it's about reps, and what happens when you commit to showing up before you feel ready How Foundr Plus member Donna launched Journey, put herself out there, got a shoutout from Brittany Saunders, and sold out in days The pattern every successful founder shares: awkward beginnings that nobody sees, and what that means for where you are right now Why avoiding embarrassment doesn't protect you — it just slows your growth How the discomfort of posting, launching, pitching, and hiring compounds into a skill set that gets easier over time The reframe that changes everything: stop asking "what if this is embarrassing?" and start asking "what if this moves my business forward?" If you've been sitting on a piece of content, a product launch, or a partnership pitch because it doesn't feel ready — this episode will show you that the discomfort you're feeling isn't a warning sign. It's the starting point. If you're loving this solo series, I'd love to hear your feedback. Email me directly at nathan@foundr.com — I read every reply. Hope you enjoy it. A lot of people want to get into multifamily real estate. Very few ever actually take action. In this episode, I talk about my own journey from growing up without money, becoming a teacher, working side hustles for years, and slowly building my way into multifamily apartment investing. My mom was on Section 8 for much of my childhood. My dad was a waiter. Nobody around me was talking about apartment buildings, financial freedom, ownership, or investing. I had to completely rebuild my mindset over time while learning how to operate in an entirely different world. I share how I went from teaching, waiting tables, teaching surf lessons, building cutting boards in my garage, and struggling financially… to eventually owning and operating multifamily properties. But more importantly, I talk about the real thing that stops most people: Fear. Fear of sounding inexperienced. Fear of rejection. Fear of brokers not responding. Fear of asking dumb questions. Fear of making mistakes. Fear of looking unqualified. And the truth is… most new investors never even send offers. In this episode we talk about: • Why confidence usually comes after action, not before • Why consistency matters more than talent • How repetition builds skill and confidence over time • Why you need to get into real conversations with brokers and operators • The importance of underwriting reps and market exposure • Why most investors stay stuck in "learning mode" too long • How taking imperfect action changed my life This episode is for anyone who feels overwhelmed, intimidated, behind, or unsure of where to start in multifamily real estate. You do not need to feel fully ready to begin. You just need to move. If you want help learning how to underwrite deals, analyze properties, talk to brokers, and get involved in multifamily real estate, check out my Multifamily Machine cohort and free resources here: stan.store/buybuildings If this episode helped you, share it with someone who needs the push to finally start taking action. #multifamily #realestateinvesting #mindset #financialfreedom #apartmentinvesting

Send us Fan MailIn this verse-by-verse Bible study of Job 17–18, Reasoning Through the Bible explores one of the darkest moments in Job's story. Job says his spirit is broken, the grave is ready for him, and he can no longer see beyond his pain. This session speaks directly to those who have reached a low point and need to be reminded that life still has purpose, even in deep suffering. This study explains why Job's despair does not mean his life has lost meaning, why believers always retain purpose because they are made in the image of God, and why Christians should not wait until people are near death to repair relationships, show love, and be faithful friends. It also highlights the danger of a works-based, behavior-only view of God that leaves no room for grace or true relationship. The second half of the session turns to Bildad's speech in Job 18, where he becomes openly insulting, hypocritical, and more committed to being right than to helping Job. This episode shows how harsh theology can become cruel theology, and why suffering people need wise, compassionate counsel that looks deeper than outward circumstances. Topics in this episode include: Job 17 explained  Job 18 explained  when life feels ready to end  purpose in suffering  why believers always have purpose  Bildad's hypocrisy  retribution theology and its errors  why suffering is not always caused by sin  how to care for suffering people Reasoning Through the Bible is a verse-by-verse Bible teaching ministry committed to careful exposition, biblical context, and faithful application.Support the showThank you for listening!!  Please give us a five-star rating to help your podcast provider's algorithm spread RTTB among their listeners. You can find free study and leader resources at the following link - Resource Page - Reasoning Through the BiblePlease prayerfully consider supporting RTTB to help us to continue providing content and free resources. Have you ever stood in the middle of a life that looks really good on paper and still felt like something was off? Like a quiet voice whispering, this isn't it anymore...and you didn't know what to do with that? This week on the Found Podcast, I'm bringing you a conversation with my own coach, Katrina Klooster, and I think this one is going to land somewhere deep for a lot of you. Katrina is a life and leadership coach who specializes in helping high-achieving women navigate transitions, those in-between seasons when you've outgrown where you are but aren't sure where you're going. After nearly 15 years in education (as a high school Spanish teacher and instructional coach), Katrina followed her own winding, messy, non-linear path into building a coaching practice, and she brings all of that lived experience to the women she now serves. In this episode, we talk about: The moment Katrina knew she had outgrown teaching and why it took her so long to trust that feeling Burnout, shingles, and the culture of self-sacrifice we've normalized in education (and beyond) Why your non-linear path is not something to apologize for The 37-38-year-old awakening many women experience and what's actually happening beneath the surface How high-achieving women get stuck in golden handcuffs and what it takes to break free Why most women aren't afraid of failure...and what they're actually afraid of instead The grief that's woven into growth (and why we don't talk about it enough) What Katrina looks for in a coach and how to know if coaching is right for you Connect with Katrina: Website: katrinaklooster.com Instagram: @katrinaklooster (send her a DM!) What if the reason you don't feel confident… isn't because you're unqualified? In this solo episode, I share a simple but powerful shift that came out of a recent Seen & Safe group session—one that challenges the common belief that we need to become experts before we can show up fully. We often tell ourselves:“I need more training.”“I need more experience.”“I need to feel ready first.”But what if confidence doesn't come from mastery? What if it comes from something much more accessible? In this episode, I explore the idea that confidence is built through proximity over time—not perfection—and how our nervous system plays a central role in whether something feels safe or threatening. And yes… there's also a slightly chaotic (and slightly gross) story about my cats adjusting to a new litter robot that somehow brings this whole concept to life.If you've been circling something—public speaking, sharing your work, making a move in your business, or even just expressing yourself more honestly—this episode will help you understand what's actually getting in the way, and how to move forward in a way that feels grounded and doable. In this episode, we explore:• Why feeling “unskilled” is often a nervous system response, not a true lack of ability • The difference between mastery vs. familiarity—and why we confuse the two • How fear convinces you to delay action in the name of “preparation” • What actually builds confidence (hint: it's not more studying) • How to use graded exposure, self-soothing, and co-regulation to take your next step • Why safe, supportive spaces can accelerate your growth in ways you can't do alone If you're ready to stop waiting until you feel “ready” and start gently stepping into what's calling you, you're in the right place. And if you're looking for a space to practice this in real time, Seen & Safe is my small group coaching space for sensitive creatives, entrepreneurs, and humans in transition who want to build visibility with nervous system support. You can learn more or reach out here:

Send us Fan MailConfidence feels like the missing ingredient when you want to lead with authority, coach clients well, or make clear decisions under pressure. But what if the reason you feel stuck is that you're chasing a feeling instead of building proof? We unpack the counterintuitive truth: confidence usually comes after you take action, not before, and the fastest path to more confidence is practice plus feedback, not more motivation. We also dig into a common trap in leadership and coaching: calling everything a mindset problem when the real issue is a skill gap. Mindset matters, but it cannot replace the ability to navigate hard conversations, ask clean questions, and guide someone without taking over. Along the way, we explore good failure versus bad failure, why fear of failure can make you fail by default, and how borrowed confidence from mentors can help you move before you fully believe in yourself. Then we separate confidence from self-confidence. Confidence is earned by doing something repeatedly. Self-confidence is your belief that you can figure it out even when you have never done it before. If you're a coach, leader, or creator who wants to stop performing inspiration and start being effective, you'll hear why a clear process and real-time feedback prevent you from “just asking random questions” and hoping it works. If this helps, subscribe and share the episode with a friend who's been waiting to feel ready, then leave a review with the one action you're going to take next. For a deeper dive, watch our video, "How to Lead High Stakes Conversations Without Winging It" on YouTube!Want to show up as the best version of you in the moments that matter most?Start by taking our 2-minute quiz at modernleadership.us/quiz!
