What is familiarity ?? The dictionary describes it as a quality or state of being familiar. We've all either been in a place or know people that would prefer to stay in very unhealthy environments and or relationships even when it hurts because it's familiar, even after history has shown that there is no honor there. I know that the unknown is scary but it couldn't be worse than being among people who don't honor or respect you . Or worse the demand on you is so rigorous that it's either you or your DESTINY! DO NOT FOLD! God has gone ahead of you you're already okay! You've already WON!!! How did I feel?? I'm glad that you asked, I felt confused, angry, frustrated, hurt, scared, perplexed, overwhelmed, and mad as heck. But in the midst of all that I knew that I had a choice, to make. How am I supposed to live through this without dishonoring myself & God? Who do I tell? Should I tell?  How do I make sense of this?? Well luckily God, does not feel overwhelmed by anything, I had to give it to him because it was above me. Abuse is so subtle it doesn't happen all at once but it chips away at your soul. Once you identify that you're speaking to a person that desires to be right rather than you find resolve, choose your peace. What is your Purpose? That's a daunting question especially when you have not begin to unpack it, the brighter side of that is that you're probably already in the neighborhood but because its not yet developed you wouldn't describe it as such. Your purpose is the reason that you were born & we all have one, all assigned to leave our imprints in this world! Be it teaching, preaching, dancing, singing, if it speaks life into you & others it matters. Then there is so much beauty in know that you've offered someone else hope, that you've aided someone else to keep going, that it was your kindness that gave hope.  There are people that I don't recall names or faces because our encounters were brief however some were catalyst to many different parts of my healing journey. My way of paying homage to those that I may never see or speak to again is to be to them what they were to me. This episode speaks about  how life has a way of  throwing us all curve balls, some balls are easier to catch than others. I've questioned myself how am I going to manage this and maintain integrity & dignity? How in the world did I even land in this place? I could ask myself those questions over & over, but it wouldn't do much of anything in terms of assisting me into progressing. So one day at a time I accepted my present circumstances, the why became secondary to my need & desire to find peace. The things that I would normally encourage my loved ones to do, I had to take my own advice. I decided to be kind to myself, I decided not to repay evil with evil, I decided to talk to people that I trusted rather than keep everything all bottled up. I decided to trust God & thank him for his revelation and protection. I decided that I was not a victim but actually chosen, to take this experience and as I heal from it  also allowed it to minister to other people. (Especially Women) God opened doors that no man can shut, he provided for me, he gave me peace, he helped me to forgive and I am nothing short of victorious .
